REVIEWS OF 740 Front Restaurant IN Colorado

Jonathan Totty

The blackened ribeye was phenomenal!

Greg Stackhouse

Great food, service a bit slower and prices seem above market

Candice Anderson

The food is average but is priced like it's exceptional. The sides for 3-4 actually serve 1-2. The service was good but didn't make up for the meh food and high prices. ETA there is bread available on request, but don't--its from a grocery store and it's really stale.

Zachary Foxx

Great food and fun atmosphere!

Kari Apel

The atmosphere was nice but unfortunately the food was not good. My daughter and I shared the different dishes and none delivered, not even close. Shrimp scampi was incredibly bitter with only oil and garlic for the sauce; crab cake came out cold and no chunks of crab as described in the menu, flavor was odd; and last we ordered the clam chowder, it was more like corn, potato and pepper chowder. The service was great and timely, really expected a lot more from the high ratings online.

John

Damn good pricy for what it is. Good for a business meal

Came here for a brunch one Sunday. We made reservations ahead of time so we were seated pretty quickly. Despite there being many open tables a few people were asked to wait for quite a while at the door many with kids and very young ones. Only to be seated at a table that had been empty the whole time. Server was pretty aloof and a bit rude and had to be reminded of things. The gal serving water spilt a large chunk of ice into my glass, she then took it out with her hand and proceeded to keep filling other glasses at my table with the ice chunk dripping everywhere. And to top it all off when our order finally came out everybody's was cold or incorrect. Great place for dinner but I would definitely stay away from the brunch.

Michelle M

My son and ordered the salmon burger sandwich I thought it was an actual piece of salmon for the price since it was almost $15 dollars. Instead it was a salmon patty like was it canned or something? My fries were bad too and really salty and the bun looked like a McDonald's bun. The only thing that was good was the cherry coke. They didnt come check on us and we waited a long time for our check. It was disappointing for the price.

Brian Fink

Great Steakhouse. Very nice atmosphere for dinner. Good craft cocktails and beer list.

Diana Walker

The interior of the restaurant is beautiful—from the hardwood floors to the raw wood ceiling to the wallpaper. The sound is fairly balanced in the space too. We were at a round table with several people and could hear each other without noise from other tables. My only complaint is the menu looked very tasty, but the food wasn’t fantastic for the price. Two people at our table mentioned that their meat dishes lacked flavor and were a tad dry, both the beef and the chicken. Dessert was yummy—chocolate brownie with caramel sauce. Good wine list as well. Our waitress was attentive and kind enough to split the check for the group. Overall, it was a nice dining experience.

Jorge Cano

Nice place with great food, I had a stake and my wife had a salmon, both tasted great

Dan Raasch

Over priced and over cooked. Crab over done and rubbery. Wait staff not bad. Portion size for the price you pay horrible. Left feeling hungry.

Dave Chiasson

The food and ambiance is great the service was not attentive, perhaps short staffed.

Julie Coulter

Service was not great, never received a refill and the glass was tiny. For $3 I doubt I even received 12 oz. Steak was so garlicky that you couldn't taste the actual beef.

Jay Morris

Great food and drinks. Service was good and the pork chop and Manhattan we're delicious. Building and finishes we're unique.

Trey Wilemon

Blackened Ribeye was excellent!

S wilkins

Cozy atmosphere, amazing food and service. Probably my new favorite date night restaurant. Will definitely be going back soon!

Claudean Champagne

Great food and great service. Best restaurant in Lafayette.

George Domsic

Fabulous. Best steak in my life. Bison rib eye.best bar. Best service

leslie sauer

The restaurant is beautiful with old woodwork to admire throughout. We had brunch after visiting the pumpkin patch last year and all the food we had was delicious and packed with flavor. Bring the kids, they will enjoy it also!

Carolyn Clark

Beautiful ambiance, good service (server and staff were all friendly, warm and professional). Terrible food. Everything was so overly salted that we had to scrape the seasoning off of our entrees just to get through it. They ruined a $45 steak by completely dousing it in salty salty seasoning. They even salted and over-seasoned pancetta-wrapped shrimp. Let good, quality ingredients stand out, not salt and too much seasoning. Also, not sure how this place has a $$ on here. It’s $$$. I find that the dollar signs on Google is very hit or miss in this area. But this is one of the more expensive options I’ve been to, and probably one of the worst meals I’ve had in Colorado.

Robert Livingston

Really I give this restaurant 3.75 stars for ambience and 1 star for food. A really big disappointment from what we expected. Not one of the four of us will be going back.

Mo Jam

Adrian, Cynthia and all the staff are great! I mostly get the burger but it's all good!

David Canfield

Nice restored building

Kadie Murphy

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic lunch at 740 Front. I had the flatiron steak and with a house salad and he had the $14 burger and beer special. My steak was cooked to perfection with a yummy garlic topping. My boyfriend loved his burger. We had the creme brulee for dessert and decided to go inside and check out the beautiful bar that was built in the 1880s. The service was wonderful. Overall, great food, great service, great prices.

Delmira Brueggemann

One of my highlights about visiting Louisville, Colorado is going to 740 Front Restaurant. The wonderful service, delicious food and overall environment exceeded my expectations. Good job to all of the staff and I will be definitely returning to your restaurant from Panama in the future.

Genevieve Roberts

We had a great time here! Delicious food and a relaxed upscale setting really made the night memorable! The streaks are really great here and I recommend it!

Damian Badalamenti

Every time we eat here we have an excellent meal. Great atmosphere for any occasion. Great wine selection and specialty drinks.

Carissa Walker

I went to brunch here all the time when I lived in Louisville. I love all the food I've tried and the bottomless mimosas are great. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The dinner menu is good as well.

Stephanie B

The food seemed to be good for those able to eat it. They seemed highly put off by a request for a gluten and dairy free steak (not a difficult request, usually) and managed to mess that up. The menu looks great but if you have any changes needed from exactly what is written, I'd give it a pass.

Janet K

Love the atmosphere! The bar is simply beautiful and the decor tasteful. Very good food. Only downside is sometimes slower service, but in such a cozy place, it's not always bad to slow down!

Tye Stephens

Great food, great drinks, and great service. I'll definitely be back!

Andrea Toole

We had our rehearsal dinner here, for about 20 guests on a Thursday night. There was a small mix-up with the timing of our arrival, but despite that the food was great, the seating area was perfect, and they even printed our menus with our (the bride and groom) names– which was a very sweet touch. Highly recommend for larger parties!

Shelly Maye

Good food and service. Really liked the taste of the no bean chili an garlic fries.

Bill Perkins

Best first-time dining experience that I've had in a long, long time! Fantastic staff and service. EXCELLENT food! Steaks so juicy and tender we could chew them with our eyelashes...cooked to perfection! Ohhhhhhh...and that turn-of-the-century bar... GORGEOUS!!!

CHAD STEWART

Excellent place to have dinner. They had the best calamari I have ever had in my life. And I've had a lot of calamari.

Kate York

The bar is gorgeous. The food is expensive but worth it. When they have the dungeonous crab on special is my favorite.

Barton Auto

Made reservations for Mother's Day brunch. Beautiful place with yummy food.

Ingrid Donato

Tom the bartender was great. Suggestions were always perfect.

Arlene Schreiber-Dapkus

Food is fabulous, great atmosphere and good service. It is in a historic building beautifully renovated. The original bar is a must see, beautiful oak wood and it still has the original spitune.

Aaron Batilo

What a historic restaurant. The food is incredible, and our server, Andrew, is a true pinnacle of service. I can't believe how kind and and polite he was. It really is a great place to go.

Timothy Hurd

Just a fantastic restaurant. Good food, friendly staff...went out on a date here and was very impressed. You don’t need to go to Boulder to have an amazing meal. :-)

Randy Fischer

This was my mine and my wife’s first time here tonight and it was awesome!!! It is such a cool atmosphere in there!! I like that it is a T-shirt and jean place for a great steak!! I had the teriyaki steak cooked medium well with the mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach and it was so good!!!! The steak was so tender I could cut with a butter knife!!!! My wife had the scallops and shrimp and she said it was awesome!!! Our server Jessica was very friendly!! She was always checking on us making sure everything was good and if we need anything!!! She had great recommendations!! Over all it was awesome, great food, great service and good price!! Thank you for a great date night!!! V/r Randy

David Nolan

Great brunch. The food was tasty and endless mimosas were a treat.

Bailey Ward

Food is good, I really enjoy lunch and brunch. Not too pricey for what it is. Atmosphere is great, service is usually good.

Sarah James

Nice atmosphere, but loud. Delicious food, but very pricey.

John Klebba

Good food, great service.

Daniel Kelman

Super consistent Louisville hangout. Great service, good food awsome cocktails. (barrel aged Manhattan is a winner) Not the most innovative menu in town, but everything is made perfectly.

Lynn Swan

This place is so good to eat at a little pricey for me but really good, I loved the service here

Ruben Maldonado

Phenomenal steaks . Meh service

Sarah Jo

I had an omelette that was fantastic. I also had a blood orange Mimosa and on Saturday brunch it's a bottomless cup, so you can order as many as you want for $13. Pretty worth it! Service is also great. We had a great waiter (Keith), who checked in on us, but never hovered. I think the menu is a little lacking in variety; however, this place is definitely recommend.

Jerry Paul Malczewski

Excellent atmosphere and food. Will definitely be back when in the area again.

Michael Melley

Meh. Nothing to special about this food. Lunch server was good but took a long time to get the actual food.

Ed Friedman

I have always had a good meal here. Last week I had the clam chowder (excellent with bacon and corn!) and a skewer of scallops and shrimp. The room is loud when they are busy so turn off your hearing aids. We were there on a Friday night during the street fair; lots of people and no parking. So, here's a pro tip. Park on the other side of the railroad tracks near Moe's Bagels and walk through the new tunnel. Easy and quick. One thing more; it would help if the young servers were trained better. Example; I finished my cocktail and the waiter asked if I wanted another. When I said 'no' I expected him to take the empty glass away, but there it sat. Not his fault; something for management to put on their checklist.

Mike Barbalacci

Wow! Seriously fit for foodies. Been there twice. Big foodie here. I NEVER call anything"The Best". Too much out there to classify anything such. Well, gonna eat those words. Of all things I had the Chopped Steak and rare(you may not want it that way but I sure do). Of all chopped steaks I've had in my life, this was "The Best". Then, on another visit, I had the Pork Chop. Was so good. My friend had a Salmon Fettuccine dish. Excellent! Get there and eat there. Service was just fine and pricing(in my world) is low so basically on the medium scale. Just Wow.

John M

The blackened ribeye was disgustingly salty. They ruined a perfectly good cut of meat that was otherwise cooked well with an absurdly heavy hand on their seasoning blend. In fact every single item served was severely over-salted. The scallops were sub-par quality to begin with and then coated in a salty season blend. Either they don't taste the food they serve OR their target audience is life long cigarette smokers with severely dulled taste buds. While the service was excellent, the food was so bad, I'd never be able to recommend this restaurant to anyone. I'm surprised that this restaurant has such high reviews when it was the worst tasting food we've had in Colorado.

Steph Sharma

Wonderful atmosphere, kind service, lovely food. Service was a bit drawn out and could have been tighter with check-ins and clearing. We'll def return!

paul c

Fantastic steak. Mash potatoes were great. Service was amazing.

Justin Haydt

Great food and cocktail selection. The pork chop was a good size and cooked to perfect. Mashed potatoes and asparagus were great as well. Definitely try the garlic butter they provide with the bread, it has a great flavor. Wines galore. The cocktails we got were weak and the prices were quite steep for the service received by a young gentlemen who seems confused at times and only dressed upscale but was not confident in his job. I would go again to see if this just wasn't a single incident.

Stephanie Shah

Service is awesome even when they are busy. The staff was helpful and kind. Food and atmosphere reminds me of Kansas City.

Jennifer Lonnes

Food was terrific, service was great too.

Michelle Pederson

The server was very polite. However our lunch took quite a while to come out and when it did, it was apparent that it had been sitting in the window under the heat lamps for quite a while. My chicken was pounded flat, which was expected based on menu description, however it was dry due to the long wait under the heat lamps. I was starving so I ate all of it, but it was quite bland and the spinach underneath was oily. The ambiance was gorgeous with original wooden bar from old days still intact and I've always loved the location (used to be the "Old Louisville Inn") and I'll give it another try as my companion's Eggplant looked delicious.

Jared Hendrickson

Outstanding steak and desert. Outdoor patio seating and sheik classy inside dining options. The filet melts in your mouth and was defiantly one of the best steaks I have ever had.

Frans Wiegersma

Very good food, nice place and very friendly people.

Jared M

Great place. Great service. A bit over priced for the quality of food/preparation.

Claire Uhl

Super lovely and romantic! Incredible oysters and ceviche. Thank you, Andrew, for the incredible evening.

Ben Petersen

Wonderful spot spot to eat. It's rediculously good, well executed and has friendly service. Brunch has large portions and a really interesting menu

Brody Leinweber

Steak was perfectly, aged, cooked, very tender, almost melt in your mouth. Waitress was great. We also really like the lamb and french fries crispy on the outside soft on the inside. Will be back.

Bradford Kimes

Great calimari, good wait staff, and excellent food value, makes this a great place for a memorable dining experience!

Carrie Mitchell

Great bar. Get a Martini. Great food. Get the Flatiron Chicken.

Emily Lange

I ordered the 8oz Flat Iron steak (medium), baked potato and roasted veggies. Steak was great, baked potato was also very good. I liked the seasonings on the skin. It also came with a small salad (lettuce onion and a few sliced cherry tomatoes) on the plate. Only reason I am not giving 5 stars is the roasted veggies was one small carrot, one small piece of squash, 2 small pieces of tomato and a bunch of cut red potatoes. I did not need or want more potatoes as I ordered a baked potato. It was not specified on the menu that it was roasted potatoes it said veggies. For the $5 I was expecting veggies not potatoes. Everything else was great, awesome old building and cool bar!

Ashley G

Great spot, beautiful setting and delicious food. Highly recommend.

Richard Morse

Beyond the historical significance of the building, the renovations that make it very comfortable with a cool vibe and the very good service we received, the food was excellent. We had a mix between steak and seafood and the chef achieved excellence with not entrees.

John West

Nice atmosphere, very courteous wait staff.

LeeAnnette Lucero

I went in by myself to have a light dinner. My server Catherine was extremely sweet and kind and suggested great options. She really knows hey menu how to make someone feel comfortable. Adrian was also great and attentive. He too, I was also very welcoming. The staff seemed to work well together. I felt at home. The food was good and not over seasoned. Oh and the bathroom was clean. I won't come back if the bathroom is not clean. Thank you for the experience

Stephanie Swenson

The steaks were amazing. The staff was helpful & attentive. Definitely going back to enjoy this wonderful place very soon.

Julie Allen

We have been there many times and it was wonderful! There was something totally off today...the service was very slow, the meal was not as good as it always has been the the past and took forever to check out...must have been a Staff change or something...

Stefanie Pentz

Great service. My NY strip was overcooked the first time, but the recook was perfect. Will be going back.

Cordelia Wilkerson

This place is fabulous! Wonderful food and on point service, along with a wonderful ambience. The outside area is great!

Anastasia Weatherford

Its a nice place and the food is really good.

Rita Katich

Great atmosphere. Good variety of happy hour food and drink specials. Perfect for a date.

Buzz Yancey

Great place. It's an old restored train station. Unbelievable hand carved bar. Great patio

Kuldeep Pandey

Great food. Loved the baked eggplant.

Ian Haygood

Slow and disorganized service. Mediocre and overpriced food. There are much better resteraunts in the area for the same price.

TH Trails

Great Foof and Atmosphere!! Be sure to get reservations or you will be in for a long wait on a Friday or Saturday night.

Laura Morrissey

Was in town for a day and stopped in for dinner without a reservation. They were very accommodating. Id definitely make a reservation next time. The food was excellent, something for everyone (dry aged steaks, oysters, barramundi, bread pudding, cherry pie). The cocktail menu is very inventive as well. Most impressive was the wait staff. The place filled up quickly on a Sunday evening and they never missed a beat. Will be back if I ever find myself in Louisville.

Jim Sullivan

Fantastic menu, service, and ambience ... be sure to check out the historical bullet hole in the bar.

Mike Gross

Great execution for a business dinner.

Olive Hendrix

My favorite restaurant. The steaks and seafood are stellar. I love the aged ribeye cowboy steak, OMG, melt in your mouth delicious. However you will find me sitting at the gorgeous bar at least once a week slurping happy hour oysters for a buck seventy five each! They always carry good oysters. Adrian and Cynthia behind the bar have both made fantastic cocktails and are outstanding at the bar, super good people everywhere there. Love!

Drew Snyder

Expensive version of Applebee's. Attended with my girlfriend. She has already left a review and received a snarky response from the restaurant basically blaming us for their poor service and over priced food. To be clear the food wasn't horrible it was just super average. The service wasn't so bad that we wanted to leave it just wasn't great. If you are find with setting your food and service expectations to that of Applebee's and raising your price expectations to that of Guard and Grace you'll have a wonderful time at this old bar pretending to be a high class steak house.

Baltazar Abrego

Food and service were ok, but nothing too special. Would rather go to other places for dinner. The locale is cool.

Collen Knickerbocker II

A great little steak house where I wasn't expecting one. The streaks are all well aged/seasoned. Great wine selection and a friendly staff.

brandon tegge

Slow service, mediocre steak and was somewhat overcooked. Garlic mash potatoes were great.

Bob Melamed

Loved it. Great food. Great environment Excellent service.

Barbara Crede

Great food and efficient wait staff

Jen Smadams

We visited for our first time tonight for a last date night before our baby boy is born in a couple weeks. We read great reviews on the steaks and atmosphere and couldn't wait. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Our waiter was disinterested and innattentive and lacked basic customer service skills. When my husband checked his $40 steak to see if it was cooked correctly, it was practically well done (he asked for medium rare). The waiter (Lucian?) didn't apologize or immediately offer to remake it, instead waiting to see if my husband was disappointed enough to have them remake it. By the time his steak had been recooked properly, I was almost done with my plate as I didn't want to eat it cold. No apologies for the delay or an offer for a free dessert (something to make up for the poor experience). While we enjoyed the food, we will likely not return due to poor service. It seemed like a manager was around but they didn't seem to notice what had happened and we couldn't get their attention. In our opinion, skip this place if you are on the fence about trying and check out one of the many other restaurants in Louisville that offer exceptional service and make you want to come back again and again (and have a lower or same price point). It is so frustrating to pay for a nicer meal and be let down like this.

Peter Jaumann

Great breakfast alternative on a Sun morning

Corey Learn

Very nice experience.

Jason Carrington

Great atmosphere and perfect place for date night. Steak was awesome

Clara Kelley

Wonderful food, friendly service, and great atmosphere!

Steven Burrell

Really delicious high quality food and neat atmosphere.

Andrew Small

Hidden gem in the heart of downtown Louisville! Delicious steaks and seafood. Craft cocktails and yummy apps. Friendly staff and gets very busy so make a reso and enjoy!

Pie Cutie

Fabulous family friendly dining experience.

Ben Lachini

Great Ribeye and wonderful Oysters. Beautiful Setting and great service

Dawn Baker

Great spot to grab a drink at the bar to enjoy the wonderful bartenders before dinner either there or just to start your evening off. Nice Happy Hour with oysters, yum!

Peter Hill

A great place to take the family for fine food and drink.

Erika Barrington

Excellent food, ambiance, and service. Great place for all kinds of outings: family brunch, group get-togethers, or date nights. The only thing that could be improved would be to add a few more vegetarian options.

David Ohara

A year ago my wife and I had tried this place for dinner and loved our meals. Yesterday we tried for their brunch. I will say still love this place and for brunch you have to do their steak and blue cheese omelet. The steaks was so tender in it. Great job.

John Houston

Great cocktails, good food, great town

Cyndy Hinkelman-Smith

Very sad to say that Service was not good, food not good, beverages not good. Was a special occasion and very disappointed.

Francesco Spitaleri

Excellent restaurant. Very nice wine list. Great dishes. Fresh seafood. Beautiful place with very detailed interior. Nice vibes. Courteous and professional staff. I was there last Thursday for lunch. I was sitting at a inside table. The bartender took my order and follow up with my meal. He was great. Super nice. Professional. I left very happy. Highly recommended.

David Appelhans

$150+ for two adult entrees and a kids meal, no alcohol. I was expecting good things, but was dissapointed with the food in general, and especially the steak which had lots of gristle and fat without much flavor. Overpriced and bad food, I wish we would have gone somewhere else.

Evan Roberts

Great atmosphere, and delicious food. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. The building is steeped in history. They have a gorgeous bar brought in from Leadville over 100 years ago. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Jennifer Powell

What a wonderful find! We were so happy here! Service was great, and the food and drinks were delicious. We've passed by a number of times and I've always wanted to try it out. Boy am in glad we finally did! Came here with a small group for a birthday celebration. Sunday evening, no reservation. They took us right away and were quick and efficient. Drinks were yummy! Everyone ordered something different and shared a bit - we all commented on how good everyone's meals were. Another cool thing about the place is the wood bar, which has a super cool history to it, all the way from Leadville. Makes the place that much more interesting to be in, knowing it has such a history. Read all about it on the back of the menu! I will absolutely be back.

Katie Kingston

I don't know what it is about this place, and it's the most beautiful place you could possibly sit in to eat a meal, but the service is always somehow slightly off. Slow, confused, something or other is wrong with it. We sat there for 5 or 8 minutes while nobody paid attention to us after we were seated. I had to go to the lady at the door to ask when a way to might come talk to us. The food is pretty good, but the service always puts us off.

Michael Beranek

Food was excellent. Waiter was polite, well dressed, as was the rest of the staff. This place has come a long way since the Old Louisville Inn days. Guaranteed to return again and again.

Thomas M Nickerson

Lovely restaurant with great food and prompt, friendly service.

J Snider

Brunch is 5 stars without question. Both times we have sat outside and the waiter was outstanding. The food was also great, the western skillet is a must order. In the evening it feels like a different restaurant. Waitress was apathetic, they messed up 2/3 of our orders and the food was average.

Chris Frazier

Steak was delicious, cooked to appropriate request and I had an attentive waiter. I wasn't initially sure of this place, based on the recent reviews, but my Mothers Day meal was excellent. Drink menu here is extensive and great variety. The history of the building was pretty neat and the atmosphere is very attractive as is the beautiful bar back made of cherry, birch and mahogany. I will definitely come back here.

Keith Lommatsch

Food is great! Home made pasta, brined, roasted chicken was very flavorful. Service was hit and miss and we didn't get any bread, but will return, the food is that good.

Andrew G

Great food and good bottomless mimosas the refils were a tad slow but overall great.

Nicholas Fox

Great atmosphere, and delicious food. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. This place is definitely worth a visit.

C Jaime

Huge salad! Great crunch. Really enjoyed this pile of goodness. Love the ambiance of this place. Friendly staff and the owner can tell you the history in detail of this building!

Caleb Young

Best steak I've had in Colorado. If you like New York style dry-aged beef this is NOT the place to go. If you like fresh beef, this place is gonna be your jam. Kinda busy, reservations are recommended. Kinda expensive but worth it. Very nice vibe here. Wait staff very professional and owner is super nice and seems to really care how your experience was. Can't speak highly enough of this restaurant.

Mathew Braun

I had the opportunity to stop in for brunch here, and it was an all around solid experience. The decor and style of this location standout immediately; the beautiful old Saloon-back to the bar is almost like a relic from another time, and lends a huge amount of atmosphere to the restaurant. Brunch was good; I sampled their unlimited mimosas, and also had the chance to try the frozen-fruit style mimosas that they offer, as well. The standard mimosas are good; the frozen fruit and sparkling wine drink wasn't really all that great. Food was decent; my burger was good, about what I'd expect for the price, but nothing to write home about. Service was good, as well, with multiple servers stopping by to check on us. I'd say that this is a decent choice if you're in downtown Louisville, and looking for somewhere new to eat and enjoy cocktails.

Nora L

Nice restaurant, the food was good. We went for restaurant week I liked the variety to choose from on their menu, the Creme Brule was runny, our server was "ok", the seat in our booth was broken not very comfortable & manager never came to our table. That's why. I like restaurant week you get to try new places.

Aaron Watkins

Best bar in Boulder county

Neil Ghanti

Solid atmosphere and drinks, friendly staff. But for what you get for the price/service you may walk away with the 'meh' feeling.

John Gress

The steaks are good, for sure; but the food is generally over salty and the salads over dressed.

Cynthia L. York

My husband and I were looking for an alternative to Bonefish Grill. He suggested we try 740 Front Restaurant and I am glad that he did. The food was great. Parking was convenient and the staff was very friendly. My husband and I are both looking forward to going back again.

Desi Parker

Food was really wonderful. Beautiful location with history and charm. Somehow we managed to get lost to our server. It took 20 minutes to even get a menu. Had to reorder our drinks multiple times. Did not seem like it was happening to any of the other tables, so it was something really odd. I'll try again to double check their service.

Alejandro Angel Correa

Good steak, good wine, really enjoyed the ambience and the bar is beautiful.

Krista Kielty

Loves the atmosphere and the food and service were great!

William Farris, MD

More upscale restaurant with wonderful food and service. One of my favorite places to eat. Outdoor seating when the weather is nice.

Gillian Owen

Went to a holiday party here and wasn't impressed by the food. Things were under cooked and it seemed like the kitchen rushed everything out.

jody Collins

We use to love this place but honestly I feel like the food and service has gone down hill a bit. I'll give it another chance.

Marty Lewandowski

Amazing food and a wonderful place for date night. Our waiter was fantastic

Hannah Lackey

If you are looking to spend 3 times the amount of a mediocre dinner and get a mediocre dinner, this is the place. I made the reservation early in the morning and specifically said it was for a date. Usually when you make reservations there are defined tables, especially at the price point of this restaurant. However, the first place we were put was in a back room with a table of 10 that was a reunion of frat boys. Mind you we were there for a long over due date night. Not college night. Asking to be reassigned to a different area, preferably one where we could hear each other, we were moved next to a church group. To be honest, I did not see the point of making reservations if the host will not accommodate. After sitting down, our waiter did not tell us about the restaurant history or ask if it was our first time. I began to order a martini and was cut off when he immediately asked for my ID. I am 30. I understand the importance, but he didn't ask my significant other for his, when he ordered an old fashioned and he is 29. I then had to stop the waiter and tell him exactly how I wanted when he said "I assume you want gin". This was a great start. We ordered mussels as an appetizer and asked for some bread. The mussels came out in less than 10 mins and were either undercooked or dead, most were closed. The bread came out and was only 2 slices with a giant gob of butter. Then we ordered our main meals but unlike most steak houses, Mac and cheese or brussel sprouts were not a side. So we ordered a baked potato and crab cake. My SO ordered the flatiron Wague beef and I ordered the dry aged bone in NY strip. Here is the most disappointing thing about this evening, the steaks are made with an attempt at Millionaire butter sauce. I wish we had known that. It is a sad day when I do not finish a steak. I didn’t finish this one. You taste more Worcestershire than butter and it had ruined all of the steaks flavoring. The steaks were also over flavored with a garlic lemon seasoning that I was scraping off. When we first walked in I was wondering why most of the patrons weren’t eating steaks, and it made sense now.

Miss S.

I'm totally disappointed. After a long day getting off late from work I didn't want to cook because I was tired I wanted a good cooked meal. I came here and was impressed with the renovated historic building, however was not impressed with the food. The soup came out luke warm and my sons clam chowder was green with a large branch of a rosemary stick in it! Our entree's was about ok but seemed low quality and not fresh, my son's asparagus was burnt and black and did not taste too good. I let the waiter know about the soup and the entree it was not fresh. He just shrugged it off and offered to bring a new one. I gave the benefit of the doubt and the waiter raved about the peach pie for dessert and how a lady out near Estes park bakes the pie and has for 50 years, well the peaches very obviously came from a can! The coffee creamer had chunks in it like it was expired. I hardly ate the pie and I ate about 1/4 of my entree, I decided I didn't even want to bring the leftovers home. The waiter saw we hadn't eaten much of the food yet we still got charged $81! Honestly I feel duped, high priced food should have high quality and taste fantastic. My advice if you are going to come here check out the building and historic bar but don't eat the food. What a let down and now after tip and everything I'm basically out $100 for nothing, what a waste. I gave 2 stars because the decoration and restoration of the historic building was beautifully done.

Great experience as always. Top notch wine selection, good happy hour food options, exceptional service.

Christine Snyder

Definitely not worth the cost. VERY slow service, so loud you can't hear the person across the table. Ok food, nothing spectacular. Uncomfortable seating. Waiter never checked back to see if we needed anything.

Marty Henderson, DVM

Great food and atmosphere. A bit pricey though.

Francis Goodenday

Friendly staff, food decent but a bit salty and not hot enough. Good ,not great, and pricey.

Went for oysters at Happy Hour and wasn't disappointed. The baked ones were delicious along with the raw East Coast oysters.
