Cool place to go. Plenty of beers and nice happy hour. The veg burger I got was all mush but I know how hard it is to make a decent patty that holds up. My friends all liked their meals. The staff was super nice and very attentive. We got a spot out side which choice.

This was a bit of a hidden gem! Food was great. Lunch specials were 100% worth it. Flavor mixtures with their burgers are on point! Tried their brussel sprout appetizer and it was different then I've had before. So good! Amazing little spot

I checked this place out a few months ago and remember the food was decent but also that I didn't want to go back and I couldn't remember why. So I decided to give it another try since i had to kill an hour while my puppy was at the Vet. One burger and two 10oz beers and my tab was $35 and it doesn't even come with fries, that's extra. Food was good but not good enough for what they are charging. Quickly remembered why I didn't want to go back

Great experience. tonight was the second time my family and I went and we had a great server just like the last time! Our server was alex and she was the best she went threw everything and made our night amazing. I really recommend this place for good food and beer.

This has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants. My family goes here fairly regularly because the food is all top-notch and scratch-made. I've loved every burger I've tried (which is most of them), the fries are great, and the onion rings are some of the best I've ever had. Good craft beer and ice cream selection, too. The wait staff and management are also super-friendly every time, whether it's just us or a big group.

Food was pretty but the burgers were flavorless. The burgers looked like they should taste amazing, but came out bland (needed salt or something?). The best dish was probably the jalapeno poppers because they had the most flavor. The side brussel sprouts were cooked almost to a crunch (charred) and very very strong balsamic vinegar coating.

Located on the 16th Street Mall, this is an excellent place for burgers! I love that one of your choices is to have two small "slider" size burgers of your choice. I also had a glass of their Cherry Sangria, very tasty!

Great food and service. We had a party of 15. We pre called and they had our table ready for us when we arrived. The service was just as great as the food. Loved the "What the Guac" burger. I highly recommend you come and try it. Looking forward to the next time.

Property owner needs to step up! No fault to 5280, there's a sewage smell in the entire area. Nice weather, you won't know it! However, when chilly and al doors closed, there's an unwelcome smell.

Normally, the staff member I encounter working the ice cream parlour is a young woman with long dark brown hair and is always super sweet! I adore her, and she is so friendly and accommodating. Today (Saturday), I came in and the employee was a young (maybe even teen?) man with black glasses and sandy brown-blond hair. He didn't say a WORD the entire transaction. He handed me the cone with his bare hand, no napkin wrapped around it, which was super off-putting and kinda gross to me, personally (if you're handling any cash and a register, you should not touch food with the same hands). He handed me the receipt to sign, did not offer a pen, and I struggled to find one myself near the register. I asked for a napkin, and he gestured vaguely (still silent) to a napkin box next to the register, where there was ONE napkin left, covered in sprinkles and was already dirty, which I really didn't want to use. This place is usually great, and I usually love it, but I might give it a break. If he's the new employee working the ice cream area, it's not really worth it, which is sad because the Oreo ice cream is to die for! Super disappointed.

Loved it! Great for the whole family. Burgers are extremely good. Pricing is great for an upscale place like this. My daughter and I had to go back for round two. There will be many rounds to go as far as we're concerned! I recommend this establishment and I think you will as well.

Grease bomb. Burger bun was oiled and the mayo was incredibly thick. The result is that I could barely taste the burger itself. Despite me being polite my waitress was giving strong cues that she really didn't want to be serving me. One saving grace is that the fries were good.

OMG!!! Easily the best burgers in town. Any town. The mgr Clay, came over and explained the menu. He's a Superhuman, just like his card says. The staff was AWESOME. Very reasonable prices, especially for the quality of the food. The cheesy fries are out of this world. Highly recommend. You HAVE to go. I'm going back. I can't wait to try more burgers.

After reading the reviews, thought I would give this place a chance. Blew it..... I was in a hurry, so I got it to go. Ever heard of a TO GO CHARGE ? Me either. And that was after I was quoted the price of $9.95 for the lunch specially even tho I said it was to go. As for the burger, well it was small and I ordered it with no onions....you guessed it, I got onions. Oh and so much for being in a hurry, 15 minute wait and I got my drink right away and it was nice a watered down by the melted ice by time I left. Still a huge Five Guys fan.....

Excellent burgers. Did a gluten free flat bread burger and a burger lettuce wrap. The burgers and fries were fresh and delicious. Service was good and the very short wait was well worth it!! We will be back the very next time we are downtown!

Ordered med-rare but was so rare I thought i was eating a live animal. The burger was also cold. The price for my wife and I was $50 for two burgers, one fry, and one beer. That is too pricey for what we received. The one plus which is stopping my review from being a 1 star was the service was pretty good.

Ate here on our first and last days in Denver t last week. Nachos with pork good. Chips crisp. My son and I both ordered the I Can't Decide both times. Between the 2 visits we had 6 different burgers off menu. Second time we ordered a single serving of fries, plenty for 2 people. Fries hot and crispy both times. Side of brussel sprouts very good to . We did forget how big the "slider" size burgers are. We each brought home a whole burger. Service was kind and prompt on both occasions. We went to the ice cream shop, later in day, after our first visit. The server was personable. Offered samples. I got a mini cup. Just enough for a sweet treat for less than $2. He mixed the nutella and banana. Very creamy. Delicious combination

Initially I prejudged the 5280 burger. Upon first bite it was a good, just not great. Little did I know this was just the beginning of my flavor adventure! The further into the center I went the more elaborate the flavor was. Truly a champion among burgers and deserving of the title of Best in Denver.

My visit was slightly disappointing. The burger patty was good, the bun was good, the service was good, but the ambiance was not good. I was given a table near the bar, the front door, and the outdoor patio. It was very loud, I had to ask my server to repeat herself several times, and the constant foot traffic was distracting and unpleasant. In addition, the burger had a BBQ sauce that I didn't particularly like. It tasted like it came out of a tub from Sysco. I'd be willing to try this place again, because most of the burger was pretty good.

Came in to pick up a delivery order for a customer, long hair bartender is bold with verbal disrespect — perhaps in attempt to provide ‘entertainment’ for the few patrons eating. Couldn’t hold his tough bartender frame when a grounded energy was matched. Real uncomfortable for everyone around. Ego is a trip.

I came during the GABF, out of town for business, not realizing this amazing festival was even going on! Daniel took care of me though. He treated me like a local, but still walked me through not only the amazing beer options, but didnt even force me to pick a sauce when it came to wings. I couldn't decide so he brought me all of the sauces and let me decide. Believe me, Buffalo is not the best! Try the Honey Sriracha, or the Thai. It is more than with the risk, they are great!

THE ROCK

1st time here, and ordered take out, the burger was raw and could only eat the outside edge, and the onion rings were salty, sad to go out of my way to try and end up home with a disappointing dinner. The bottle beer was good. P.S. this was the Westminister restaurant.

The manager is the nicest guy around and goes out of his way to make sure every is happy. Good beer selection as well, which is never a bad thing! If you haven't been, I highly recommend!

This was seriously the best Burger I've ever had, and I've had some really great ones. I got the "Best Burger" and it really is. I wouldn't hesitate to come here every time I'm in town for work. Bartender was great too, highly suggest a cocktail or two.

First visit to this burger restaurant. Went as a group of three (2 adults, one kid) on a Friday evening around 5:30pm and it was crowded, but we were shown to a table with minimal wait. Server (Marcus) was polite and prompt. Our food took a bit long (20 minutes or so?), but I think the burgers and fries we ordered were worth the wait. Prices are a bit higher than your typical burger joint, but the variety is worth the price. The 5280 burger (the default one, with a half-pound beef patty, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions) was quite plentiful, and we ordered a basket of fries to share among three of us. Bonus - there's a small 5280 ice cream counter connected to the restaurant for dessert and the ice cream is pretty good. Will make a return trip soon. If you like Red Robin, Smashburger, Larkburger, etc. this place will also hit the spot pretty well.

This is an excellent place that offers a wide range of burgers. All burgers have the option of beef, bison (supposedly their best patty), chicken, lamb, or veggie patties. The bison is quite juicy and pretty delicious when prepared medium. They have about 15 different creative burgers to choose from, but there's the "A** Hole" option if you'd like to create your own. As good as the burgers are, I couldn't stop myself from eating their crispy brussel sprouts (I know... crazy right?). Do yourself a favor and get these on the side of your burger. You get a ton, and they're the perfect flavorful, zesty bite to go with any burger. 5280 Burger Bar gets a thumbs up from me!

Yum Yum Yum! We've passed this place 100 times and finally decided to check it out. We arrived around 5:30 PM on a Friday night and luckily they weren't slammed yet. There's a nice division between the bar and dining area. Our waitress was very friendly and told us about all the specials and their signature dishes. Our appetizers came out pretty quick and we're hot and so delicious! I ordered their signature 5280 Burger (medium well) and it was cooked perfectly. My sister in law ordered fish and said it was also cooked exactly as it should be. Everyone at our table loved everything that we ordered. The fries were also extremely delicious, the basket size order was huge though haha. And just FYI....The entrées do not come with fries, you must order those separately. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back!

No corporate dress code as it is privately owned, but if the front of the house is lax about professionalism, heaven knows what else is sketchy.

Better yet, if you can't decide, you can have two smaller burgers in stead of one large one. The two smaller portioned burgers are still a great size! This is where you order a burger in Denver, they will serve you the best one in the Mile High City.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The drinks were pretty good but the food was excellent. Definitely my go-to burger spot for when I return to Colorado. I got the 5280 Prime cooked medium, and my friend got the Boss Hog medium. We also got a side of fries and onion rings. Their ranch was absolutely delicious. We really enjoyed our time here and can't wait to return.

Perhaps the best burger I've had in a long time.. What the Guac burger. I eat gluten free and it was amazing... The "bun" is more of a flat bread.. almost a tortilla.. so I ate it with a knife and fork... But it was fantastic. 3 out of the 4 of us got the same burger.. and it was great. I was happy to check out a local burger bar. After reading the reviews and the menu, I was impressed. I went on a Wednesday evening and the restaurant was busy. I sat at a table top in the bar area. The service was terrrrrible. Waited about fifteen minutes just to get some water while neighboring tables were being attended to faster. Our waitress even said that I should come back when it’s not so busy... I’d hate to find out what kind of service would be given during the weekend. Food was good but not good enough to go back.

Burgers were quite good overall but the staff a little pushy to get this or that. I got the burger with briquet and while it was quite good, the brisket was quite dry I was checking on it. The basket of truffle fry is HUGE and so delicious. Probably my favorite part of the meal and I would recommend it.

My party of 11 came in last night for a celebration for my husband and unfortunately got terrible service, server forgot two orders and didn’t ring it in and never got refills and forgot my dads card and never gave it back and we didn’t realize until today so we called and the manager EJ told us to come back in and he will take care of us since we live so far away. We went back in and they gave us a to go order of what we ordered last night and completely made it right for our trip back in there. The hostess today was amazing and soooo nice! We really appreciate how they made it so right and we for sure will be back and try it again!

Now that’s a good burger! By recommendation I went for the Ring of Fire burger- it didn’t disappoint. If your not a fan of spicy food, choose from one of their other crafted burgers. If you are a fan... it will hit the bullseye. Fries were fantastic, crispy, perfect hints of seasoning and not greasy. Service was friendly and attentive- I definitely recommend 5280 Burger Bar.

As I was chowing down on 5280's "Perfect Burger", I tried to think back on all the other burgers I've had in my lifetime, and if any of them were even comparable to what I was currently experiencing. I didn't have much time to reminisce, however, because I inhaled that thing quicker than it takes a 4-year old to Velcro his own shoes. It's still safe to say that was the best I've ever had, and the accompanying basket of fries were on a similar level. The host staff was kind and engaging, our server was prompt and friendly, and the local beer selection was on point. I dare you to find a tastier burger in Colorado.

Had super lovely service at about Noon on Saturday, server made some great recommendations (Including for a Mule that I now make at home, I forget the name of it, but it had Black Tea and Lemon Infused Simple Syrup) as usual my burger was perfect (I got the Mushroomy one) and my friends burger was also perfect (she ironically got "The Perfect). If you are ever in the area I highly recommend checking this place out and getting the Can't Decide so you can try more than one thing off the menu, literally everything is good. Also, small side note that is meaningful to me, they make a ton of their sauces in house, including, if I'm not mistaken, their ketchup.

I wasn't thrilled with the burger. I think it was the actual meat that just wasn't right. I felt like the patty should have been more dense or something. Maybe I'm just used to a lower quality type of beef, but that's what I prefer.

I dont really get the hype for this place. The food was ok. The one thing that ticked me off the most is we ordered fried pickles and we got them less then 5 mins before our food came out. So we ordered fries for no reason really. The burgers are good but they are $10-14 and you have to pay $2-5 extra for fries! Guess that's cuz everything being "house made" you pay more for EVERYTHING. But the buns fell apart while we ate our burgers, the fries where good but the ketchup "house made" didnt taste very good. Kinda watered down. My son got the kids salad with ranch, not that great. kinda became soggy. The tomatoes kinda tasted like they had been picked out of Some pico de gallo. All on all prob wont be back. Not worth it.

The Durango burger is great, but the service and atmosphere is not great. Its crazy loud and if you're at a four top you have to yell. Our server was not attentive and we had to flag him down for drinks, for food, to clear. Even after the manager let him know we were still waiting for our drinks he still didn't follow up. Also don't face west as the sun goes down you will be blind.

One of my favorite burger bars! Their burgers can come in beef, elk chicken and waygu beef if you are feeling fancy. I would recommend the Perfect Burger with hand cut fries. Ask for a side of garlic aioli for dipping. If you want dessert they also have some tasty ice cream options. Go forth and enjoy my friends!!!

One star because they don't allow zero stars. I was so disappointed. I've been looking forward to trying this place for over a year. We finally got there and the whole meal was a mess. The meal started well enough. The hostess mentioned that even the fryers were gluten free I made sure the waitress knew our table was gluten free by allergy, not by choice. She said that anything in the menu could be made gluten free. Woot! Then we started ordering. Well, the fryers are not gluten free. There are no gluten free fryers so all the fries and onion rings, whether gluten free or not, are contaminated. Total disappointment. But not a deal breaker. Then the burgers came. The menu states that all burgers will be cooked medium. Well.... Medium is not raw. I worked in a restaurant. There's a difference and any cook should know that difference. We returned the burgers and asked for them well done as they were so disgusting that no one could handle the pink at that point. The burgers came back. One was fixed properly. One was messed up again. We chose to leave and, after speaking to the manager, paid our bill. The MOST disappointing part of this whole thing? If the restaurant messes up your food and you send it back, THEY CHARGE YOU FOR A NEW MEAL. Do what? Who does that??? The manager removed the burgers and we wound up paying for four sodas, one glass of wine, one burger, and one small (super gross) side salad. To the tune of 42.00. Suffice it to say, we will not return.

They are supposed to come medium, mine came closer to well done and was small. Got the mushroom burger, barely any mushrooms or sauce. Yes, yes, and yes! Super tasty. Because I couldn't decide, I chose the "I cant decide!" You get two mini options with that, so I chose the Aspen and the Boss Steer. Both were awesome. The food and service here are exceptional. The atmosphere was casual and fun. They provide for a variety of people's needs. There was a table with men having a work meeting. There were people in their jeans and favorite t-shirt. The was a bit higher priced but appropriate for for the quality of the food. There was also an ice cream shop attached at the entrance to the restaurant. We could directly order from it at our table and it was added to the dinner bill. We could also have just walked in as a separate vendor. It was really fun. I would absolutely return.

We’ve been coming here since this location opened up. To date we’ve enjoyed every visit we have made. Hands down these are the best burgers we can get in the area. They are always cooked to perfection and the flavor on the patty is fantastic. The prices for the burgers are decent, but do not include any sides, so we tend to order either one side of the queso fries or truffle fries. The service has always been decent. Second to the burgers, I would say the best thing about this place is that there is 5280 ice cream in the same store. The ice cream that you can get for desert is fantastic. The toasted Marshmallow is my favorite.

A decent sports bar serving a range of burgers as well as build-your-own options. Fries are hand cut and full of flavor. There's an ice-cream parlor connected to it for dessert which seems popular but is a little expensive in my humble opinion.

Going into this restaurant I didn't know what top expect. I went in there and got fast seating. Reading the previous reviews was rather humorous. People complaining about greasy food, waiting 10 minutes and suggesting Five Guys over 5280. First off this is a burger bar. If you don't like a little grease than you are shopping in the wrong place. Second, this isn't fast food and waiting 10 minutes for house made food is NOT unacceptable. And for somebody to compare 5280 with Five Guys is just flat out ridiculous. These one star reviews are your fast food goers that feed off of immediate service, limited interaction and dry frozen food. Bottom line is if you want to sit down and relax and enjoy an amazing meal with great service than this is your place. As far as you complainers, please go across the street to Five Guys and leave us an open table!

My husband and I have been twice now to the Westminster location! Both times have been outstanding. Tonight our server was Taylor and she was awesome. She was friendly and attentive. They were super busy too. Kenna in the ice cream shop blew us away with her kindsness and hospitality. The ice cream wasn’t equally awesome. Food was great both times. My girls loved and blew through their chicken tenders. The hubbys burgers and and my strawberry fields salad were tasty and fresh. Based on the reviews, we went in having high expectations. But, the experience was just ok. Nothing special. The fries were really good, but we got the “bottom of the bag” fry bits. The burgers were ok. The onion rings on one of the burgers were cold. The rest of the burgers were just bland. They weren’t bad, necessarily, but they definitely didn’t justify the high price. Service was slow. We didn’t get any waters until our food came, even though we ordered them right when we got there.

The salad was DELICIOUS. Those candied nuts were amazing. The sweet and salty from the strawberries and feta cheese was the perfect blend I would definitely come back for the salad to go. I didn’t get a good picture of the wings but the ranch was good and creamy. It was a bit pricey I paid 27 bucks all together including a $3 tip this place is pretty pricey but the food is good. The service is okay. I watched 2 young men come in together and I’m guessing they originally was supposed to sit at the bar , but changed their minds. I then saw this lady ask them 3 times to sit at the bar and they politely declined and insisted they changed their minds. I watched her go to 2 other waiters and gossip about them. That really turned me off and because my waiter was apart of the gossip the boys ended up not eating and leaving is why I tipped $3 fyi but food is great

I went with a conference group to this restaurant, and it served our needs quite well. The burgers are tasty, though mine could have had a bit more sauce on it. The fries and ketchup were delicious, so it's a shame they don't come with the burgers and have to be ordered separately. Some of us ordered milkshakes to go and were charged extra to carry them out. I haven't seen that before. My milkshake was delicious and made from two ice cream flavors, so no complaints on the ice cream front!

I got the Boss Hog, wings and Fries. The Boss Hog was VERY tender, however I had to put salt and pepper each bite which doesn't happen often. Must've been a day where seasoning was lacking? One of the best places to go in Denver. Great atmosphere and super friendly staff, but the food is on another level! All items, including sauces and buns are made from scratch in house and the beef is locally sourced in CO. I recommend the I Can't Decide, so you can pick 2 of their amazing burgers and get them as a 4 oz. Slider. I also recommend the Frings, a basket with half onion rings and half fries, make that parmesan truffle fries. And you absolutely must save room for the ice cream, you will not be disappointed.

I've been to the Denver location many times before and love it, and I'm so glad they've opened one in Westminster! The atmosphere is identical, as is the menu. Fun tip - the "I can't make up my mind" option at this location allows you to split it with a salad, not just burgers. The service was great, and we were pleasantly approached by the co-owner who was beyond kind. Love this place and it's definitely one of if not the best burger place I've been to.

It's difficult to reinvent burgers and fries, but 5280 has come the closest that I've tasted. I wasn't expecting much, but it was very good. Everything is made from scratch and with Colorado ingredients (Hatch Chile? What about Pueblo Chiles?) Good combinations of ingredients on the burgers. Unfortunately for me, the Law of Diminishing Returns hit, so the first few bites were great, but I think I should have eaten only half. Fries are handcut and the onion rings are probably the best and most unique I've ever had. The only drawback was the salted caramel ice cream which lacked any flavor of salted caramel. Will definitely go back.

I was looking forward to eating my first bison burger, but overall I thought it was meh. The bison meat taste similar to beef. I ordered What the Gauc? The bacon and guac definitely gave the burger more flavor. I suggest to skip out on the fries (a $3 side) they were soggy and bland. Their entire burger menu would be perfectly fine without any french fries.

Finally, a real burger restaurant has opened up in the Denver area. 5280 Burger Bar offers all the fancy burger patties like American Wagyu and Angus, but also includes the Colorado specialty of Bison patties too. There are some creative topping sets to choose from, and if you can't make up your mind, you can pick two and turn them into "jumbo" sliders. Sides like truffle fries are available. Overall, it was a very good burger dining experience.

Got the 5280 Prime Burger mid well. Came out closer to mid rare, which is fine. Still a solid burger. ANY side will cost you extra, so that was a real bummer. A beer and my burger ran me $25 which, while good, wasn't a great value. Add in fries and you've got a $30 pre-tip bill. Worth checking out? Probably. But Denver seems to have a plethora of great food options that will likely be more wallet friendly when all is said and done.

The fries weren’t over cooked and they were very good along with the onion rings. The shaketini was amazing I had the coconut one it was made to perfection and I feel is iconic for this restaurant. I say that because it’s not something you can get just anywhere and it’s worth every penny. The burger was cooked correctly my friend wanted hers a little more rare, that’s what she got. Everything was by far excellent.

Not too bad of a place. They have a good selection and I like their variety of sauces. Nice atmosphere with outdoor bar seating and a patio.

The burger was certainly tasty and within the right price range, though nothing special. Regular fries were a waste of money, they do have other options for fries though which might be better. Nice selection of beers, especially ones from Colorado.

The skills and customer service abilities of the most splendid and beautiful hostess Charlotte are first class. Very professional getting me to my table quickly and getting the Best Server in the House Ashley to quickly call on me. Impressive how fast Denver 5280 Burger Bar gets things done. Found this place after doing some shopping and it did not disappoint! The burgers were amazing and the brussel sprouts were delicious. I got the sliders because I really couldn't decide on one burger. I will definitely be dining here again.

Not quite the best burger ever, but darn close. Fries and onion rings are good and the prices are fair for rhe quality. Bonus points for the ice cream shop next door which has awesome ice cream. The staff at the burger place are always nice, the ice cream staff leave a bit to be desired quite honestly in terms of politeness and being friendly.

This spot is GREAT!! Excellent location in The Downtown Denver Pavilions and the food is exceptional. Don't forget to get home made ice cream (some made with real liqueur)

Great service. Very accommodating. Not good for people with nut or dairy allergies. All buns have milk and frying oil contains peanuts. Had wings instead. Very good wings. A little pricey for a burger. Great ice cream reasonably priced. Will go back just for ice cream.
