Great good n service... The owner who is the main chef came out and talked to us, even this was our first time at the restaurant. He is funny and friendly... We were visiting with a couple friends from Cuba... we all had a great time. The test n flavors are excellent. We also noticed a great deal of traffic for people buying food to go... Go n visit this place, you will be impressed even the place is not elegant or located in high section of this Town...Enjoy it...!!!

The food is good, and it is Chinese food geared towards a specific demographic, which is evident when you are warmly greeted in Spanish. Service was excellent from start to end, and the owner even came out to see how everything was. I've been coming here for 20 years, though sporadically.

I always love coming here my family been coming to this specific Chinese Restaurant since 1995 since it first opened the same year I was born. The food is amazing hands down as long as I can remember. Every manager have been great making the restaurant great with there employees being hard working. Also almost every employee that works here are trilingual Chinese, English, and Spanish these employees are excellent. The portion size it very big for a reasonable price it's worth it. Overall I highly recommend to come to this Chinese restaurant than any other Chinese food restaurant around the area.

Though hair doesnt really disgust us as there is worse things its still discomforting to feel an 18 inch hair being pulled out of your throat... twice.

This restaurant has been there more DECADES and it stills keeps the same fresh and rich food flavor. This place is one of the tops on my special places list. They speak English and Spanish very well. Its not a huge place but every time there is a free table when I go there.

Ying Li is by far not only the best chinese restaurant in San Ysidro, but the whole south bay. Staff is very attentive and the service is fast. The decoration is very cozy with cool ornaments and neon lights. I go here at least 3 times a month. Try their soups, particularly the house won ton soup, super yummy.

Seven minutes was all it took for my sesame chicken order to show up at my table (nine minutes for my companion's salt and pepper chicken). The restaurant is always busy when I come here. The food is delicious and the prices more reasonable than similar quality restaurants. So I come here regularly. By the way, the wait staff is multilingual. Spanish, Cantonese, or English-- they have someone who can speak one of those.

If I could give 0 stars I would. NEVER going back EVER. The veggies were old and browning, the potstickers were just fried dumplings, the shrimp smelled fishy and my husband got sick. The "chop suey" was just a few pieces of soggy beef on top of a huge pile of bean sprouts and a few pieces of broccoli. It had NO sauce, no flavor, and left a puddle of water on the plate. Just straight up water. It was disgusting. Do not go here! I see why it's so cheap now.

Ordered mixed veggies and spicy tofu to go. The veggies had a filthy looking sauce pooling at the bottom inch of the container and bits of noodles and meat. The spicy tofu was not spicy and was tasteless. There was more bean sprout in the bed of the tofu than tofu. Overall very poor for what I paid.

I can tell that my experience was not the norm. We called in our order, and we were told 15 minutes. We ended up waiting 35 minutes. I asked about my order at the 20 minute mark, and the young man said he would check. He came out several times after that and probably forgot, as he didn't tell me anything after that. I agreed another lady, and she said she would check. She came back out and said they were waiting on the Kung Pao. Again, I know my experience is definitely not normal as I saw several phone orders being fulfilled as the patrons we're picking them up. We got our food and feel the food was ok, but certainly not great. I ordered house fried rice, but they must have thought I meant Hawaiian fried rice, because it had pineapple in it. Not my favorite.

Arrived at this location, female waiter just pointed a table and said you sit there as she pointed. Usual dinning approach, got us our drinks and when she was ready to take our order I asked if curry was spice she responded "all curry is spicy" which confused me bcus I've had curry many times but maybe she just was having a bad day idk. During our dinning experience she filled one water glass thru out the whole dinner and it wasn't mine. After my dinner date requested to order a chowmein with vegetable and no order was ever placed. As we waited and waited for our noodles to arrive they never came. Over all, I wouldn't even give this experience one star. And just to add, I've had curry many many times, never there again. It was not Spicy at all and it was very very salty. It look funky color and the vegetables that accompany my curry was onion and green bell pepper. Definitely not the best place for curry. I wouldn't visit this restaurant.

Ordered one of their meals for 2 people. Most of the food was good but the chop suey was overcooked and tasted burned. The sprouts were all mushy. We complained about it to two different servers and they absolutely refused to do anything about it. They said it would upset the cook. What kind of service is this? You would think they would want to make it right, but they were very adamant about not taking it back and we were still charged for this terrible dish! After years of going here we will most likely not go anymore. Food is getting worse and they don't want to make the customer happy.

We (two adults and two kids) came in around 7 and were seated immediately. We ordered orange chicken, beef and broccoli and walnut shrimp. Lo mein and fried rice. Everything was delicious! The walnut shrimp was my favorite. The orange chicken was not spicy as expected but still good. Coming from Arizona, the prices were higher than our norm but reasonable for the amount of food. We should have just ordered two entrees and one side. Best Chinese food I've had!
