Okay Chinese food, not the best around. Good for a quick bite, a bit pricey compare to other Chinese food.

If you have no knowledge of Chinese food beyond orange chicken or Mongolian beef, this is a perfectly enjoyable restaurant. But if you realize that you're only getting uninspired and inauthentic "Chinese cuisine" at half portion and double price (which, you probably should have realized the moment you wandered into Beverly Hills), Xi'an could really wreck your wallet and your dining experience.

One of the better fancy Chinese restaurants in Beverly Hills. There are some other great take out places. This One is dine in. Not your traditional czechuan cuisine. Although some traditional favorites. Friendly staff. Good service. Entrees in the mid $20's which is reasonable. Good wine selection. Generous portions, enough to share. Dark mood lighting. Valet parking or street parking. Small outdoor patio overlooking Cannon. Private party room. My favorite dish? Singapore curried thin vermicelli noodles with chicken.

Good service, but overpriced for the quality of food. The whole experience was... normal. Nothing stood out, though maybe I didn't try their amazing dishes. I felt like I was paying double price for regular food. I would much rather go to Shanghai Grill.

The Chinese restaurant has nothing to do with Xi'an as in its name. Foods here are general Chinese foods, not from Xi'an at all. Fair and eatable Chinese foods.

The manager doesn't seem to care about the medical needs of the clientes. I explained to him I have Celiac disease and need a strict gluten free platter, and wanted to double check if he could confirm the kitchen is able to do this. He brusquely said "yes, we have options," but didn't care to follow up that the kitchen does or does not pay attention to strict gf needs. I know LA has a larger share of the gluten free dad than other cities, but people that make their money from food service should be aware that Celiac disease is different. His attitude sucks- otherwise everything has been only okay. And if you're wondering why I'm here if I have Celiac, it's because it's the holidays and I'm with a family party of ten- wasn't my choice :)

Ok to eat if you need to have Chinese food when in Beverly Hills. Not excellent but not bad. I think staffs are quite lovely and helpful unlike the usual Chinese kind of restaurants.

Really amazing place that my entire family especially my Dad craves. It is a fresh noodle mecca of course. But if you don't try some of the vegetables you will be trying them eventually, and they are clearly part of the freshness of Xi'an. The braised green beans are cooked just right and are a compliment to anything else you order here. They melt in your mouth. The baby bok choy is also amazing and in many dishes. look forward to more of that vegetable bent, when I come here (yet again) to Xi'an.

Food is really just OK. I am from Vancouver Canada, this kind of quality will be hard to survive there in Richmond (where most good Chinese food is). It’s a bit pricey considering the quality, portion, presentation, taste; but it’s Beverley Hills. Worse thing is we, party of 4, get auto charged gratuities of 18%. I mean for real??!!! Why would we get charged for 18% in the first place, second I really don’t think their food and service deserve 18%. Anyway, I didn’t want to argue because I don’t mind paying 18%, but auto gratuities is ridiculous. Thank God I will not return there! I have to say after reviewing some 5 star reviews here, non-Chinese eaters are so easy to be fooled, have any of you guys tried authentic amazing Chinese food in your life? I invite you to come to Vancouver to experience the authentic and savoury Chinese or any other Asian food.

2 Stars simply because the green beans were the best I have ever had - delicious!! Our service was awful, we were virtually ignored while larger parties were served quickly. The spareribs tasted like feet and we couldn’t eat them. On the menu they have 2 different kinds of ribs, one specifically said it was served with asparagus but the one I wanted didn’t say so, so I said I’d like an order of asparagus...They came served on a bed of asparagus along with the $9 side of asparagus. I should have asked, they could have mentioned, it was all just a bad experience. With so many better options all along the street, this was my first and last time here. Seriously, PF Chang’s is better!

Been going here for like 20yrs. Took a solid 2yrs off but dang Gina Xi'an got their groove back! Garlic Chicken and Some beef dish that's got thinly sliced steak quality beef is delicious. Couple it with soups or string beans and rice maybe a tea and just go to town. Chinese done right. You won't feel like a horrible person after devouring the freshness.

Highly recommend Xi'an to anyone looking for tasty Asian cuisine! I last visited on a Friday night (no reservations) they got me seated as soon as they could. I ordered their fried eggplant to start off and WOW. I do not generally eat eggplant but the way they prepare it with breading and peppers is amazing. The main dishes I had were the popcorn shrimp, pungent fish aka candy fish (my personal favorite), and I want to say a Mongolian beef type dish. You'll notice that not only is the food delicious but of great quality too. Very light on the stomach and fresh tasting. Good portions for about 2-3 but with multiple dishes there is more than enough to go a round. My service has always been excellent, though I understand in the restaurant business not everyone is always satisfied. Any issue, ask for manager Tao and he will definitely appreciate compliments as he takes great pride in his work. Overall, beautiful restaurant, really good food.

If you thought Chinese food was mostly greasy -- even good greasy -- you have to try Xian. Xian is healthy clean and extremely flavorable Chinese food. I had scallops and shrimp in black bean sauce which I wanted made spicy. They were happy to make spicy. Also garlic eggplant and "power" rice. This was wonderful with bits of vegetable and tofu -- a brown rice classic. This restaurant is a great place to check out.

Xi'an is solid, living up to its praises and reviews. Loved their pork dumplings, Shimp Shu-mai and Peking duck, right down to the Wanton soup with fresh vegetables and chicken. Fits right in to its Beverly Hills zip code. Take a table near the street.. and order from the full bar. Winner!

Egg drop soup tasted old and like it had gone bad. The chicken didn't really have Much flavor. I ordered some vegetables from the garden menu, and they had put oyster sauce in it which wasn't on the menus obviously and caused me to have an allergic reaction.

Drove all the way here from Newport Beach to eat at this place. Got to restaurant at 10 P.M. - they close at 11- it says so right above- no one would even acknowledge me and the staff acted as if they were closed. Horrible way to treat loyal customers. I DO NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The waiter who appeared to be the owner, an older gentleman was extremely rude. Not sure if it was because we were visiting from out of town or what his issue was. We were there celebrating, my son had just proposed and went in for lunch after. Very bad decision! Food was just ok and comparable to PF Chang’s.

Lunch special is a superlatively good deal. Tangerine pork is perfectly fried, slightly sweet pork chop. Fried rice is simple and perfect. They have amazing house chili sauce too so make sure you douse all your food in it.

Worst Chinese restaurant ever, don't ever try the Peking duck, go to Mei zhou Dong po instead, it's just 10 mins away. Btw, it charges 20% gratitude automatically.
