This Restaurant belongs to the category of Sushi restaurant.
Looking for true creative cuisine? This place has one of the most unique flavor expressions I have ever encountered. Fresh fish, emphasis on raw, fresh fruits and vegetables, great sauces. Bring your appetite and hold on to your expectations. This place rocks. Sometimes chef owned restaurants neglect the front of house staff, but not here. Servers know the food and help guide you through what is most likely something new. It is worth the trip from SD!
I sat at the bar during my dining experience. I AM IN LOVE with this place. Quirky, and fast paced. The chefs at the sushi bar were great and I got to enjoy to many different tastes I never knew I wanted. I hope this place sticks around. The caviar truffle...I wish I could have them send that to me.
Pretty average for pricy sushi. We had 3 different rolls that we shared and they all ended up being very similar - all had the imitation "Krab" which is nothing special and only the topping was a bit different. The Salmon Sashimi was fresh and good. If you come here for traditional sushi, you will likely be disappointed. Like I said, just average. Not bad and not great.
Amazing food! A bit pricey though.
This place has incredible sushi prepared in creative ways. Sitting at the bar is the best way to experience the sushi!!
It’s run by talented non-Japanese chefs, thus they are free from traditional formats in various ways, and I was impressed with their creativity. Fish is all in high quality, and combinations and sauces are quite unique. Meanwhile the next door Ramen bar is still above the US average but some space for improvement, compared to dining room.
The food was good..once we actually got it. We waited 20 min on a Wednesday night for a table, which is fine. We sat inside, and it was hot inside..and that's fine. What's not fine is sitting down, ordering appetizers, 2 pieces of sushi and a salad and it takes 50 minutes to get the food. Even the table that was sat 15 min after us got their food and paid their bill before we ever got our salad. Not a great experience overall.
Traditional sushi meets a smokehouse! Incredibly fresh and innovative dishes, a must experience!
Exceptional sushi I had sashimi highly recommend! Place is small so you'll want to get on the list if you're coming during peak times. Nice outdoor patio too. Awesome!
Very friendly staff and high quality sushi. I highly recommend you give it a try.
Had a great experience here with my mom on her birthday. The chef prepared an amazing Omakase (chef's choice) and the prices were very reasonable. The nigiri was unique and non traditional but each piece of fish was paired with creative, local, seasonally sourced ingredients and perfectly balanced sauces as to complement and not overpower the fish.
Really good food, nice staff. For how busy they were the food cane out pretty good timing. Nice atmosphere. We really enjoyed this place!
Have been going to this Sushi Restaurant almost since it opened. My husband can't get enough. I know he'd love to go every other day, not just once a week. The food is incredibly fresh and love everyone that works there. Thank you for caring what we eat, Davin.
If you are in the San Diego area, you owe it to yourself to visit the Wrench and Rodent. Chef Davin Waite and his wife Jessica have created something so unique you won't believe your eyes and taste buds. Do what we did, choose the "Chef's Choice" and let them surprise you. I promise, you won't be disappointed!
This is a hidden jem. Non-traditional sushi made my a madman of flavor. Some of the most unique and interesting flavor combinations ive ever had.
Not sure if our seating was the latest seating for this reason. Some of the food are a bit salty and overcook a bit. Wondering if the main chef have left for the evening. Service was great. Noise level is too high for a Michelin two star restaurant. Recommend not to take the last seating of the night if you want the food taste better. 9 courses tasting menu is a lots of food for the value. Wine pairing not bad. Good for group of friends but a lot of couples too.
I didn’t come here for sushi but my friend had the two gingers roll which she thought was ok. I had the cucumber salad and wings which happened to be fish lol. Okay because I love hamachi Kama but that’s not what I thought I ordered. It was okay. I asked what was in the ceviche and I never got an answer. I am not sure what the heck it was but when we sat at the table there was a really bad smell like pee. Don’t think I’ll be back. It has good recommendations but not my style.
Food was excellent. Servers and staff were all pleasant but they were understaffed.
We've been going here for a few years now. All our sushi fix can be satisfied by chef David. Yes, you may have to wait....yes; you may have to make a reservation and yes...you may have to take on a sitting "situation" that may not be of your liking BUT trust us...it"s worth it! (Of course, we don't heed our own advise...
Excellent food with variations I haven't seen before. Wonderful staff. Relaxed atmosphere.
One of the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to. Highly recommend
Don't let the name fool you. The creative take on sushi is some of the best I ever had.
Only place I've had sushi this fresh is Tokyo. Every dish melts in your mouth and the chefs are mesmerizing to watch!
This was one of the most unique dinners I’ve ever had. This was creative, non-traditional sushi at it’s finest. Although the purists out there will trash this place for not sticking to traditional japanese sushi it was hands down some of the freshest and tastiest fish I’ve had. The unique flavor combinations that Loren infuses with the fish are out of this world. Every time you take a bite your palette tells you it’s wrong but then you realize how well pesto goes with opah. I will say that I could only appreciate this place after eating high quality traditional sushi and realizing how different and out of the box this place is. The best part about the menu is that they have an omakase option that they let you share and does not have a finite amount of plates. You simply tell them when you are full and they give you an estimated amount. One of the best restaurants in San Diego!
Non-traditional sushi the prices are very reasonable for what you're getting and everything we got was delicious! Can't wait to go back!
The best vegan sushi in town. Thus place has became my go-to! You must try the banana peel tacos & desserts by Snopel's Bakeshop too! So many vegan options!
OMG - This was amazing. Super casual atmosphere, excellent service, outstanding heterodox sushi.
Food was surprisingly better than I expected. Fresh and good portions.
The only sushi place I've been to, because honestly it is the most clean, delicious, friendly and lively restaurant. They have a big variety and everything is amazing. They also have vegetarian and vegan options which make it fantastic! ❤️
This is one of the best kept secrets in oceanside but not anymore. If you're craving sushi and I mean some unique, rich, delicious, generous portions of it, then THIS is your place!!! The sashimi portions are huge and well worth the price. The cuts of salmon and yellowtail were prime and fresh. Unique sauces complement the fish in ways never thought of before! By far the best sushi establishment of it's kind. The staff is incredible and always smiling. The environment is family friendly but also caters to the adult side of things, too. Highly recommend!
I loved this place.
Food wasn't great, veggie options had the wrong flavor combination
Love places like this. Went with 4 friends for a birthday and sat at the sushi bar. Cozy and very friendly. We let the sushi chef kinda do his thing and just surprise us. We wanted mostly nigiri and it was all scrumptious. Definitely recommend. I went again last week. Chef made us small bowls of fish w fruit and herbs along w nigiri. Amazing! I want savor each bite forever in my mouth. So good!
Had the sweet chili with chicken. Great mix of vegetables with the chicken. Separately their ok, but together awesome.
This place is Top Notch! Dave does it right. We will definitely be back.
I try to stop by whenever I'm in town. The menu is always changing and feature sometimes unusual combinations so it's a good spot to go if you're looking for variety and adventure. Staff here are always wonderful. Looking forward to my next meal here.
Absolutely amazing food!!!! Did the "rodents choice" omakase and it was great. Every dish was beautifully presented and the food was a superb! Great ambiance and service.
Good food. A Little pricey!
Fantastic service. Original decor. Let the chef do up a special roll.
Amazingly fresh and wonderful sushi. Alex was an attentive and dexterous chef. My husband loved celebrating his birthday there!!
Amazeballs! Sushi chef is an absolute artist. Chef surprised us with several unique and delicious plates. Try, you will not be disappointed.
The non conventional take on sushi and high quality fish make this a truly outstanding and special part of the north county. You can experience great and unique sushi at what are essentially low prices. The power bowl is an especially good option. And finally the staff and setting are fun and friendly.
Unique and non traditional sushi rolls. The hedge hog was the best roll we had there. It didn’t look special when it came out but the taste of it is very good especially the crunchy garlic inside and the seared fish. The mango one was okay- nothing great. And the Del Mar was pretty good. The yellowtail Kama has a Korean hot wing sauce on it that made it so good and unique. It was interestingly good. Make reservations since it’s a small place located in the Whet Noodles to the left.
Spectacular presentations and even better flavors.
Would sit here again
Wonderful food. Nice revolving menu.
That’s a 66 year old CIA graduate telling you, that this chef (couple) has put together one of the most unique menus I’ve ever seen and living in Vegas...I’ve seen a bunch. The service - 10. Everyone was polite, helpful and never once tried to up sell. The atmosphere - Cozy and a feeling of exclusive, lucky to get a table (like the soup kitchen) The menu - “All Greek to me” but you can’t go wrong. (TIP - have a drink or two before ordering, to give you time to Really look over the menu. Don’t miss the specials). The food - we had the Wahoo, it melted in your mouth (Tip - don’t eat it like normal sushi, savor this in bites); the swordfish - to die for and the 1/2 and 1/2 Snapper- this is half sushi and half fried whole fish...to die for (Tip - if you don’t like sushi with skin on, ask for the whole fish fried...you will not want to share. The drink- a large selection and the large hot Sake, is LARGE. (Tip- even if you don’t drink hot tea, do it here. The heat from the green tea clean your taste buds between each course) All in all a unique dining experience that you will want to bring your friends to. The dessert- okay, you gotta go outside the box on this and try the Lobster Panna Cotta (Tip- ask for extra fruit and with each bite, take a bite of fruit)
Best Sushi Ive ever had by far, wahoo was fresh, yellow tail perfect. large servings on the rolls as well, worth the price for sure. Great people awesome food.
Tried to make a reservation online and it wouldn't allow me to and went to the restaurant in person both hostesses standing there were very abrupt and short and didn't offer any kind of resolution to our dining questions
The food was insanely good!!! My two coworkers did the chef's whim option and they had plate after plate of uhhhhhhmazing food. I'm definitely doing that next time.
Just Awesome! Great food, atmosphere, didn't disappoint.
Absolutely exquisite. Do the omasake, they will try to kill you with their amazingness. I also recommend their Paso Robles wines, super great selections!
The best. Davin is a genius. Truffle oil in sushi? Diabolical! The Wings of the Sea, kind of spicy barbecued hamachi kama, are amazing. Very quirky Bohemian vibe. My favorite restaurant.
Best vegan sushi in San Diego county the chef special veggie roll never ceases to amaze
This place has good food with a good atmosphere.
It goes without saying, the place has some of the most inventive, flavor packed food globally. The diligence behind every course leaves you equally awed and hoping it never ends.
Unique flavors. Great price for the quality.
Delicious sushi! Sit at the sushi bar and let the chefs feed you whatever they like until you can eat no more. Then have dessert. You will not regret it.
Like most others, the experience at Wrench and Rodent exceeded my lofty expectations after reading reviews that contributed to the hype. Lots of factors went into the bold statement of saying that this was one of the best and most satisfying places that I've ever eaten. To say the least, cravings had been absolutely nailed with the selections chosen from the appetizing menu. The table was filled up with the Swordfish Pastrami nigiri special, Avocado roll, Deadites roll and Patrick the Great roll. After being so pleased with the first round, an additional order was placed for the Chef's Choice Veggie roll along with another vegetable roll that I cannot recall the name. See the following for comments on each item: Swordfish Pastrami - 4pcs of pure excellence with a tasty plated sauce, Avocado - fresh and light, Deadites - all-around delicious and highlighted with the sweet chili sauce, Patrick the Great - beware of the piece size, because it's literally a mouthful and topped with another amazing sauce, Chef's Choice - solid mixture of flavors and textures in each piece for a well-rounded plate, (forgotten named special) - plated beautifully and should be a featured regular menu item. This place took close to an hour to drive to, but was well-worth the trek. A planned return to Wrench and Rodent will happen, but the bar has been set very high from the first visit. Hopefully they'll continue to deliver.
Morgan and Annissa were fantastic!! I got "the wet brain" solely based on the name and though it wasn't a wet brain, it was fantastic.
One of the most unique, well executed, beautifully crafted and presented dining experiences I’ve ever had. Hats off to chef and staff. Might move to California just so I can eat here regularly.
I get sick of being offered an avocado roll and a cucumber roll as the sole vegan options for sushi. Here, the chefs choice vegan roll was off the charts delicious, and the teriyaki tofu nigiri was filling and delicious. My son had the rodents choice (aka omakase) and everything he ate made him happy. A delicious dinner, well worth the 70 mile round trip drive.
My favorite sushi place in San Diego!!!! Owners are awesome ..sit at the sushi bar and do chef's choice...fresh fish...try the truffle caviar scallops sushi....you can Thank me later...haha
An extremely well crafted meal with excellent service.
Interesting little place. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, good food
Hands down the best sushi! We love the cozy hole-in-the-wall atmosphere, kind and knowledgeable waitstaff, and the friendly owners. Our favorite rolls are the Mango Madness, Chronic, and Patrick the Great! Highly recommend!
Heard and read great reviews, but nothing special chicken torta was good, fried chicken sandwich with biscuit was very dry according to my friend. Noisy location right on Coast Highway. Fun, local vibe with great selection of beer! Probably would not return, as there's a lot of incredible new restaurants to choose from in Oceanside.
Non-traditional dishes are out of this world! Chef Daven is an artist. Excellent and kind service made it all a great experience.
We made reservations for 8:30 pm was not seated until 9:00 (what's the point of making a reservation?) Then the waitress was awesome and winning us back, but she fotgot our miso soup. Then we put on last order for a sushi roll 30 minutes later maybe longer after I went to ask, our waitress changed, heavier set girl and she cuts me off and felt like she was talking down to me...I asked for our check cuts me off in my sentence and says it's coming. We have eaten there before and it's always been awesome
Its a place for all sushi lovers!! We went for dinner. Place was quite hipster style and cool! The have outside sitting as well. We sat out it was hot evening. Food was really really good. We had veggie sushi and it was really good. Service is also good. Our server was a nice guy he helped us with the menu and we went on his recommendation and we were happy about it. Not very cheap but worth it. Would really recommend for weekend dinner with your partner or family or friends. They have lot of good options to try in their menu. Will definitely go again
Sushi is delicious. Lives up to the hype!
Another amazing night at Wrench and Rodent. Loren and Alex were magicians at the sushi bar and Tori and Jessica made the night a complete pleasure.
Fabulous sushi. We had omikase style, meaning chef's choice. One amazing flavor combination after another!
Cute place with awesome vegan options! I ordered the deadites roll and the veggie ngiri sampler. Both were great, but next time I would order the deadites roll and the patrick the great roll.
This place provides extraordinary service and enjoyable food. One of my favourite spots in the area. The food and drinks came out quickly and the prices are inexpensive. Will definitely recommend this place.
One of a kind!! Outrageous flavors. Must try..
Best sushi that I have ever had! Do yourself a favor and order the hedgehog roll.
OK, but not great. Sush dishes were creative but luke warm. Needs to be chilled!
The best restaurant in San Diego County. Open your mind so Chef Davin can blow your mind. Get Omakase. It's the only way.
Everytime we go is a different sushi experience. The menu constantly changes to highlight whatever the freshest catches of the day/week are. This is not a typical sushi joint. If you are looking for a cool experience that is geared towsrds introducing you to something new, then eat here. You'll love it.
Interesting sushi combinations & a very good wine list. Great birthday dinner!
I'm sorry, but the high reviews this place has received, which is the reason we went, is a complete mystery. The service was very good, but the food much less so. We had three of the specials, and three of the items on the regular menu and none of them were worth coming back for. And, most troubling, the sushi was room temperature, a basic no-no. We asked why they use fake crab and the explanation was economic and environmental. But almost all the dishes use it, so why not just skip the (fake) crab altogether, and yet many of the dishes use it. Strange. The place itself goes for the funky vibe that works when the food is great, but comes across as lazy and unprofessional when it isn't. And what's with the shot glasses they use for water??
Great place and great food
Fantastic food experience! Service and food selection for vegans and non-vegans was great.
Cool atmosphere, delicious food, great staff. Will definitely be back!
When it comes to the food, this is an easy five stars. We had about half of the dishes in the vegan menu. Except for the Inari which was quite plain and very simple, everything we had was absolutely delightful. Not to cheap, but worth it.
Always wonderful service and food. The menu has a whole vegan section and vegan desserts. Very reasonable prices and great people make this my favorite place in north county.
Great service, super fresh and really creative rolls.
Super unsanitary. Went with my girlfriend and didn’t even want to eat because the soy sauce is open for everyone to breathe, cough or sneeze into and isn’t changed in between guests. Wooden chopsticks are left on tables unwrapped and pose risk to anyone who eats here. This place had to have been the most disgusting and unsanitary establishment for fish I have ever walked into. I will never order anything from that place again.
Good food, great service, little pricey tho
This is my favorite restaurant for sushi chefs that like to explore different fish, ingredients and toppings. I sat at the sushi bar and Alex the chef just kept preparing different sushi and sashimi for me to try. The spicey tuna role was topped with a light citrus sauce, kumquats and jalapenos. The seabream was smokey sweet and melted in your mouth. The opah belly bacon was and rich and crunchy. The ending rhubarb coconut dessert was tart and creamy sweet.
Amazing
Some of the most creative and fresh sushi in north county. Great place for a date night.
Fantastic Sushi, great vibe and decor. Small but you don't feel crowded. Call ahead to see what the wait times will be or make a reservation. It can easily be at capacity. We loved the hedgehog roll that included truffle which can be overpowering in a lot of dishes, but it is precisely executed. Don't forget you can order ramen from Whet Noodle next door from the counter and they will deliver to your table. Definitely keeping this place in the monthly rotation. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their menu.
Vegan options. Vegan noodles, tofu and vegetables were delicious. Ordered vegetable sushi rolls, delicious. Restaurant has a cozy feel and fun seating.
Food and service was good . we diddnt have a reservation but they gave us a hour and 20 mins to eat we ate in an hour food was good but they diddnt have the carmel custerd for dessert
Best sushi hands down. Was truly wowed.
The chronic roll was delicious.
The best sushi you will ever get anywhere and the owners are the nicest people. Your really stupid if you go to harneys this place is 100 times better.
Great omakase, though the atmosphere tries a bit too hard to be funky and unique, ended up missing the mark and feeling forced.
Not bad but way overpriced
The banana peel tacos and cold noodle salad were great.
This place is awesome! Original and delicious sushi options! Definitely a must try for sushi lovers!
Fast service and always delicious food. Make sure and check out the daily specials.
This place is really good! I usually get a ceviche flight or the Kama. It is a nice place to people watch, directly on Coast highway with a nice patio and the ambiance is sort of classy punk rock. (Picture features ceviche flight)
Amazing selection of unique sushi rolls and Asian dishes from the whet noodle next door. Great vegan options as well.
Always innovative and delightful.
My 3rd time coming here and it gets better every time! Do the Omasake at the Sushi bar and let the chefs blow your mind. We had a little bit of everything probably about 10 plates total and I wanted to have 10 more! Alex was amazing with the combinations, if you like a laid back atmosphere with amazing food this is the place for you! Photo credit goes to Anna B. Lim
What a great place, went with a group of friends and were served omakase sushi. Very nice presentation and amazing sushi. The service is spot on, never waited for anything and the fish we were served was super fresh and delicious. Very creative dishes and an all around fantastic experience.
Pretty amazing dishes here, I love the fact you can set a budget and let the chef decide for you.
Excellent place
Great place, great food!
Really awesome sushi at a really awesome price. Go with the Rodent's choice, it's their take on Omakase (chef's pick) you'll get nothing but their best rolls and sashimi. I'll definitely go again when we come back to San Diego.
Talk about the most amazing dinner!!! My third time here and again everything was perfect!! This place gets it right everytime!! The Chefs attention to our table was reflective in every dish!! Thx again and of course we will be back!!! Soon!!
Absolutely phenomenal hidden gem, we'll be returning as many times as possible!
When u come to this place got seat at the sushi bar and do omakase !!
2017: Creative and delicious take on sushi. Excellent sake options. Fantastic value. 2018: nearly one year since our last visit and Wrench and Rodent continues to impress with innovative courses and flavours. We had the chef's special / omakase and were treated to a study in swordfish (bone marrow, vertebral column, and sashimi) as well as other tasty dishes. As for negatives, the course pacing was a little off and we were seated by the door to the patio and thus had to keep on our coats for the duration of the meal. Altogether, the food outshines any shortcomings and is the reason we will gladly return for our next culinary adventure.
Greart Japanese sushi restaurant hidden away in Oceanside. It has a sister restaurant right there for cooked food. The sushi is traditional with a twist. They also serve a lot of local sustainable sushi so different from the run of the mill tuna, salmon, yellow tail etc. I would definitely go back again to try more
Most creative chefs in oceanside maybe in all of san Diego
Love this place. Sushi to die for! Creative dishes!
Only go there if you're looking for the best. North county is the place to be and wrench is the center on it all!
Great place, food and service. Presentation was on point, flavors and textures.
The BEST sushi in San Diego hands down! Honestly the best sushi I've ever had time and time again! Davin and Lauren kill it every single time!
Seriously probably the best food I've had. We're vegan and the staff, including chef Davin Waite, made some AMAZING options for us! I can't say enough how much I recommend this place!
If you like sushi this is the best deal for innovative sushi I've had or heard of. The power bowl (mix of fish, veggies and rice) is incredible. Negative reviews seem to be mainly from people who don't like sushi or are looking for top notch service. Personally I prefer top notch food and am willing to wait a little to get it at a great value. Do they think they named it "Wrench and Rodent" to attract people looking for fancy service?
This place is great. Nice atmosphere but the food is damn good. Meat is good, sushi is well made(with love even) only cons is that the place can get packed so call for reservations to ensure a good time.
Been a dozen plus times, best sushi restaurant ever.
Not the same boring sushi place, imaginative rolls and sashimi bowl was outstanding! Highly recommend
Dang this place is good. My review is a little late so I don't remember what we had :( but I do remember excellent service and great food; we'll be back!
Hands down one of the best sushi/ramen places you can ever go to in SD county! I’ve known the Waite brothers since I was a kid and they just keep moving their cooking forward! Can’t wait to come back again.
Great gastro sushi joint
Just let the chef freestyle something. Absolutely the freshest sushi around!
BEST SUSHI I have ever had!! My favorite spot to go in Oceanside! Food and service is always spot on.. Thank you Davin, Jess, and staff!
The Vegan menu available at this food mecca is divine!
We were recommended here from a friend. They didn't disappoint us. Great food, fun atmosphere. Conscience about those with food sensitivities of gluten and dairy.
Very good sushi spot! VERY different than what you expect! Weird name had me skeptical but it turned out to be pretty good! I really appreciate the fact that it's attached to a noodle place too!
Very nice place with exciting dishes inspired by japanese cuisine.
A search for the highest-rated sushi place in Oceanside on Yelp led us here, and it didn't disappoint. Their "Unorthodox" approach to rolls and nigiri was fun, artistic, and delicious. Fresh fish paired with local ingredients. Chef even made us a special roll off-menu with figs delivered just this morning from a local farm (with hibiscus crystals) that was a real delight. Absolutely recommend this place.
So good! Reasonable prices!
Not sure if this would be co sided a sushi resturant. Eclectic menu.
Easily one of the best places to eat in all of North County. It's connected to the Whet Noodle and you can order from either menu. The quality of the food here is so good that when we found this spot, we ate here 6 out of the next 7 days! Only missing one day because it was thanksgiving! Service is great, owners are amazing and ambiance is awesome. Highly recommended spot. They even have vegan options. Try em out, you in for a treat :)
This is the place to be! Welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Service was impeccable and omakase was over the top Wow!!
Look for a sign that reads “The Whet Noodle” and enter there, this restaurant is inside but next door. Lovely staff, great ambiance, delicious food.
Glad we came in for early dinner as the place is small and was packed before we finished. Delicious sushi. Weakest part of the choices we made was the ceviche. After having been to the co-joined Whet Noodle, figured we would try this side of the house. Glad we did. Could have kept rolling with the rolls. Will be back again--and will be really hungry next time.Fresh delicious Sushi, Sashimi, and Rolls. Chef is innovative serves delicious Omakase and other cooked delicacies. You can have a terrific meal in this casual restaurants. I wish they opened for lunch, it's only dinner.
Had the power bowl absolutely amazing salad and sashimi!!
Such excellent food. You have to try it.
Very creative and unique. Managed to get in without reservations, but reservations are recommended. Loved the whole fish with 1/2 fried and 1/2 sashimi. Will be back.
This place does a wonderful job of having high quality seafood while still offering many unique and creative dishes. I also love that they have vegan options and good beer.
Awesome, fresh sushi done on an inventive manner. Loved the power bowl and the fried fish skins appetizer!
Honestly mind blowing. Pictured here is the best piece of sushi I’ve had: scallop nigiri topped with caviar. I was one guy sat at the bar by myself, and the guests as well as staff were all friendly and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back!
Splurge on the $40 meal. It's all you can eat fresh sushi and worth the cost. Only one meal offer that isn't seafood or tofu.
Awesome as always!! We were so sad when the Fish Joint went away and now we can get that awesome sushi again plus a whole menu of new things to try.
Some of the best ceviche and sushi I have had. Easy to miss this place but worth searching it out. Plenty of options. Has a great "dive bar" appeal.
This is the best sushi in Oceanside
This is the best sushi spot I've ever had, and I don't put that lightly. We did the omakase, chefs choice, roughly 80 dollars. The dishes are a bit fusion, but you can expect that because the main chef is not an old Japanese guy, he's not even Japanese, he's a white guy from Cali. The flavors they put together are astronomical, I don't believe I ever used that word. If you want something different and you love all sushi dishes, this is the place.
Excellent sushi and fun atmosphere. This is a great place for date night.
There isn't a sushi place in a 100+ mile radius that can touch this place. The fish is so fresh and the selection is so amazing and unique. Everything we ordered left smiles on our faces, even my mom who was raised in Japan and knows her sashimi
Really really good, but you are gonna get something you don't like everytime. Still worth trying the different items as most of them will be one of a kind and amazing.
