This buffet is far from 4 stars. There's not much selection in food, you seat yourself, which is annoying when you're by yourself bc you get up to get your food and your table is gone. The price isn't worth the food they serve. There was really only one good dish, and it was the mini octopus. Would not recommend coming here.

Wow. I feel like I ate from a dumpster. Cold food should be cold. Hot food should be hot. The place is dirty and unsanitary in so many ways. Food ground into the carpets what looks like mould growing outta the ceiling. See pictures. Would not recommend to anyone. Not even sure how it got over three stars on average ! Avoid.

Came here Wednesday evening with my elderly in-laws. My father in-law became sick (due to many medical problems) NOT the food. We asked if he could put his buffet selections in a To-Go container to take home to eat later. I was worried they would not allow such a request. Well, you know, it is a buffet and you just can't do that sort of thing. They totally were cool with it. My mother in-law and I had a wonderful buffet meal and my father in-law was able to eat his meal later when he could do so...Thank you...Jay

Not what I expected from years back. Not a huge variety of food and some food was warm and you could tell it was sitting there for a while. Customer service was better dirty plates got picked up quickly and they smile! No paper towels in bathroom and bathrooms dirty.

I've been living in the area for almost two years and finally decided to go inside this past Sunday. I wanted to just peak inside to see what they had and maybe come back some other time if I liked what I saw. I admit I was skeptical. I thought I would encounter some 99 cents style buffet and that's why I never went inside before. I ended up staying for their brunch. Awesome! Huge variety, very tasty, and very reasonably priced. To be honest, their $12 Sunday brunch buffet seemed similar to some Sunday brunches I've spent $40 or more on per person. I think it's a hidden gem.

My family likes to come here but I'm the one with High standards so thats why this place gets a 2 star from me. I used to enjoy it here until I tried real food cooked fresh with quality. If you enjoy microwavable food cooked on the stove THEN THIS PLACE IS FOR YOU! If not I would steer clear from here. Someone said the soda fountain tasted soapy in another review. I think it taste more like chemical. I'd come here again if the party I am with outvotes me. Otherwise Id rather go somewhere with actual Asian flavor in their food.

Solid 2. Only for the price is it a 2, if not it would be a 1. It's what you would expect from a low quality buffet. Paid $27 for 2. The food is mediocre. And mostly flavorless. Also they have no AC running so it gets pretty hot in there.

This is one of rhe best buffet restaurant in Chula Vista. Their menu is super delicious variying from Oriental to European and America cuisine. Staff are respectful and attentive to customer's needs as well as to their food running out and immediately refill it. They honor discount too for seniors.

Came here to for the first time in 3 years since returning to SD and was not terribly impressed. No more crayfish, due to cost according to the owner. Most of the staff seems great and work hard. Only reason reading of 4 star is because of s dirty plate with napkin stuck to it in clean dish area.

We were greeted with a "$26.95!!!" instead of a hello. Pay first... should have been a clue to what we were in store for. I waited by the sign that indicated a hostess would seat us. Instead, same girl who rang us up barked "go sit wherever you want!" While there was a wide selection to choose from, mostly everything that I tasted (about 10 dishes) had no flavor to it. The flavorless egg drop soup was scalding hot, while the other hot food items were room temperature. I had some kind of seafood pasta salad (? - again, no flavor, so I couldn't tell.), that was also room temperature, belying the ice bath it was currently in. The dining room was pretty run down and dirty looking. I have a fairly strong iron stomach, but I was praying that it would survive this meal. As I looked up to the heavens, I also noticed black & moldy ceiling tiles...oy vey! Where is the health department and how is this place still open?!?!

Tasty buffet, my mom loves this place and so does the bus loads of Asian tourists that flock this establishment. I don't come for their Asian food, for some reason they make a mean meatloaf, and was disappointed they didn't have it on my last visit. Coconut shrimp awesome too.

One of my favorite chinese buffets in San Diego. Great food, their sushi isn't that great but besides that the food is delicious. The staff are nice and are constantly picking up the dirty plates. Really recommend.

Food is good and there are enough seats no matter if you are dining solo or in a large party. There is plenty of parking space as well. Staff is polite and remove finished plates quickly. Minus stars because the women's bathroom seems to be perpetually filthy and unpleasant. I've been to other buffets and their restrooms are kept sanitized and usually have some form of deodorizer. Food is worth learning how to hold your breath in case you gotta go.

It is a very nice Buffet. I have not been here in like 10 years. It's a nice and hidden location. The Food was good, better than what you would expect from a buffet. My entire family was there and they liked it. It is the most important part for me at restaurants. The price was not bad at all especially if you go in early. (one of the pics will show the current price Point). They even offer senior discounts. The location is not, at its best.. I will say some of the tables don't match and are now plastic. But you cant beat the location for the price.

Doesnt open until 11 food was cold and it wasnt a very clean place. Smelled like an old diaper inside. Not many good selections. The baby octopus was like chewing on a car tire. Wanted to try this place out fot the longest time but was sad and disappointed with everything there. Never again....

VIP Oriental Buffet. The only thing I can say is that well in trying to eat it's one of the best things you can do the food is good the taste of each delicacy makes it equally fantastic when you're eating the food your tasting something that you did not expect to eat yes is Chinese food but one thing to another you're eating more than just Chinese food. You're eating something that's called Nirvana. And that's what it is the Wonderland of all foods and if you're a fan on Chinese food well do you recommend this restaurant. other stuff that I would say it's missing but that's something for you to decide.

There are some hits and misses with the food, i guess their myriad of choices makes it one of the better choice when you plan on eating buffet. Cleanliness is sub par on some areas but overall the general ambiance is good. The food choices are mostly Chinese dishes. The desserts are also delicious. I would definitely go back to this restaurant for buffet.

This place is really old--not in a good way. It needs to be cleaned up. Food looks good, but doesn't taste good. You can taste how old the oil is on all the fried food, and you can see it in how brown most of the fried food is. Sushi rice was mushy. The stir fried food just tasted processed and blah. Tried a lot of different items on the buffet, but sent almost a whole plate back because they just didn't taste good. Only exception was the soup. We enjoyed both the seafood and the egg drop soup. Price seemed good until you realized that you just didn't want to actually eat the food. And the bathrooms really aren't clean enough. Definitely won't come again.

I got here on February 13th 2019 I was at the register at 1747 and 21 seconds. Now I have consumed a few plates of food at all sections of the buffet the closer you get to the door this evening the food is colder the door has been completely open this entire evening. At one point in time over 30 minutes ago somebody was smoking outside and smoke was completely coming inside. I am sitting in a corner of the establishment it is now getting cold and it is 1904. The entire food in meal it's completely cold I am eating there whatever they call ice cream with some real generic peanuts which here in the social is coming from California and the rest of the world is caving in to the gay rainbow snowflake unicorns of not serving peanuts. The so-called generic want to be ice cream with only the topping of generic peanuts is extremely cold when it hits your palate in your mouth. The temperature range is about not far from the food probably not as cold but it's hard to tell what I've eaten and what I haven't there's a lot of seafood pork and a chicken and other things that were extremely cold this entire evening. Not sure when the health department ought to close this place down but obviously the temperature of the water heating up underneath it oughta be warm enough cuz you can feel it when you get the food in your mouth it's about equivalent to like this ice cream well generic ice cream. With what appears to be fake peanuts but out here and straighten Socialist Communist a rainbow snowflake Unicorn State fake peanuts might just take some of these liberals out it could be considered a weapon of mass destruction ( peanuts)! LOL!!! P.S. today is Wednesday FYI do to other posts that state Wednesday Today is Wednesday and it's not good referring to food.

This is a cozy place with a great variety of food (crab cakes within crab shell, tender beef, sushi (was just okay), spicy garlic shrimp and my favorite - cream cheese fried wontons) for like $13 all you can eat? Amazing!!! The staff were nice as well... As I stated the place is cozy (like going to your grandma's place - some things might look dated - but you're okay cause it's grandma's place), so be okay with it. If not, go across town and pay double.

A smaller, but very nice Asian food buffet. They offer simple, but good, sushi rolls, included in the price of your meal. Some great chicken, beef, and shellfish options, too. Passable dessert fare as well.

Some of their food is good, but they struggle to keep their food to a decent temperature. Most of it is some what hot. They always seem to blame the AC being too cold, which is not the case. Very disappointed that they do not offer military discount. I have to admit some of their food is very tasty.
