Passed this many many times on our #tenthousandstepsaday when strolling the are and there was always a huge line - so I always wanted to check it out. I knew this place came to fame through some TV series, so I did not even bother to check any other reviews - and make my own opinion. Now I know I was very right to do so, as obviously too many people believe that because it was part of a TV series, they must be able to pull miracles here. The service was nice, the ambiance is chill, the menu options were on point and the food was delicious! Prices were a bit above average in the area, but ... sure worth it. Would I go again - and maybe even bring friends? Very likely. Would I take a major detour to drive this place for breakfast: probably not, hence only the four of five stars.

My favorite place in Los Angeles for breakfast. Super casual and a dizzying assortment of tasty breakfast options. Parking can be tricky but there is a valet there (be prepared to wait a little but if you drop your car off).

Very cute bakery/breakfast spot. The service was excellent, waiters were very friendly and food was out quickly. The portions are huge. Ordered the banana chocolate chip pancakes and thought they were good but a bit dry. The avocado toast was delicious and came with a nice salad. Do recommend.

This is a nice little spot to eat in although It's a little pricey, (it is in Hollywood after all) but the quality is definitely there. Everyone around me at the table agreed on the superior quality of their breakfast. The customer service was of a high quality and we were very well looked after and treated as guests and staff were very polite, friendly and helpful when discussing options and recommendations. They also offered to put two tables together as we were a large group. Thank you!

This is a good size sit down café with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is pretty extensive, and the prices are a bit higher than average and mostly a lot of things cost the same amount. The service and staff are attentive. I got the breakfast combo with French toast, eggs, bacon, potatoes. The French toast is a pretty thick slice of bread, potatoes are fried...a little oily…and not seasoned at all. The eggs were a little overcooked. Overall, it’s a fine choice for brunch or lunch.

This is such a fantastic spot and it all starts with the service. The staff pays such attention to detail and they really make you feel at home. I am a bit fan of the simple food: salads, all day breakfast and really good sandwiches. I love that you can have sweet potato fries or a side salad. The burgers are great and they a salad called The Natalie that is outstanding.

A popular cafe with a large menu and good range of baked items It's got a little bit of a "neighborhood coffeeshop" vibe with lots of different types of seating and good energy. It's possible to stop in for a quick drink, full brunch or entire afternoon. It gets busy but in a way that makes it feel more alive and not crowded. The food is standard comfort/brunch fare - eggs, sandwiches, soups and salads.

I ate here yesterday on 1/2/19 and had the Huevos Rancheros, tasted fine, but in the coming hours after eating, I began to feel violently sick. I had diarrhea and was vomiting uncontrollably for about 10 hours. I almost went to the hospital. Today upon finally feeling a little better, I attempted 4 times to call and speak to a manager before writing any reviews. It wasn’t until I threatened to call the Health Department that the Manager, who is a hugely rude and disrespectful person, finally called me back. Claimed I was lying, multiple times. He was extremely disrespectful. I tried to explain to him that I wanted him to know something got me sick and to please rectify the situation. After he repeatedly told me ‘Not to manage his time, or tell him how to do his job’ I began to get very frustrated. This manager should be fired immediately! This is the worst experience I have ever had with a so called manager. Not to mention he claimed I lied again about how much we spent. Our bill came to almost $80 for two people, in which he said again, I must have been lying. I will never go here again, and the LA Department of Health is currently investigating. It is unfortunate that the manager wasn’t able to handle the situation with care and respect, if he could have answered immediately and treated me with respect, he would have been able to avoid all of this.

It's a cute little breakfast spot in LA. Stopped by while I was visiting. We came during peak time so there was about a 15 minute wait. The staff was super friendly and the food was pretty good. You get a good portion if food for the price that you pay. Nice place to sit outside and enjoy the weather.

Very good experience at this café! We came super early on a Sunday for breakfast, I had no issues with getting seated straight away. The hostess was super nice as were the servers. We ordered our food, it came pretty quickly. I had the new steak and eggs bruschetta and it tasted amazing! As we were finishing up we noticed the line of people getting longer and this was closer to 10 AM so keep that in mind if you're going for brunch you're probably going to have to wait for a while. Food quality was great service was great, location was great there was plenty of parking on the street. Can't wait to go back and try more on their menu!

Jonathan is a very rude and racist individual. Upon picking up food we ordered for takeout, he refused our credit card payment because my card “doesn’t have chip on it”. He immediately told me cash or chip card. After becoming irate he decided to take my payment; however, I kindly refused. We have been coming here every weekend with our kids for 2 years using the same card for payment. Will not be returning to this restaurant. Will spend my well earned money elsewhere. Unbelievable how people of no caliber choose to racially profile people that make there years salary in a month. Jonathan is a unpleasant peasant. No black zone!!

Love this place. Whatever I have there, always turns out yummy. This is an ideal breakfast/brunch spot. The portions are quite large, coffee goes together with a tiny complimentary cookie, tea - with micro-jars of honey. And those pastries!!! Large choice of egg dishes/omelette, good variety of sandwiches, yummy French Toast and yummy pancakes with maple syrup. Good looking and happy people around. Indoors and outdoors seating, several really cozy tables inside. I love the one (for 2 people) in a kind of a little niche, with a window and an outlet (if your phone battery is dying). Good service. Come here really hungry, my advice: you will want more than you’ll be able to eat (I’ll repeat: those pastries!!!!!)!

I ordered a scramble which is traditionally with eggs but they offer a tofu scramble option which I opted for. However, instead of scrambled tofu, i got chunks of warm uncooked tofu stirred into some veggies. Gross for the price tag of nearly $17.

I'm sure our server was working his hardest, but it seemed like he was just given way too many tables. It was crazy loud in there, which may have contributed to my order coming out wrong. Because we had waited so long for our order to be taken, then for the food to come out, the idea of waiting for our server to tell him about the mistake and for the food to be corrected seemed like it would just take another 40 minutes. We had to hunt down our own silverware from the server station. Also our salad came without dressing and we had to track someone down to get some. We were seated right next to the kitchen window so we were *right* in the chaos cluster of busy servers trying to sort out orders, which (I'm in service industry) is anxiety-inducing. We could be more forgiving of all this if the omelettes weren't $17 each. We still tipped 20% because, like I said, the server seemed to be doing his best, but I think management could change some things around to help out their employees and to improve customers' experience.

I’m truly obsessed with Toast. Amazing menu, amazing scrambles (with the very exciting option of corn tortillas as your side of bread), one of my favorite matcha lattes ever, and incredible breakfast potatoes. I also highly recommend the chop chop salad as the side to your scramble. The only drawback of Toast is occasionally shoddy service (especially if they’re busy), but I’ve come to accept it because I just love the food and ambiance so much. I highly recommend sitting outside or at one of the two couch surrounded tables inside. Also major points for placing the orders on an iPad — the food really does come out super quickly after you order.

This place was so cute and delicious! I got a Denver omelette with a chop chop salad and English muffin, and a side of breakfast potatoes. The main stuff were good, but what really made me happy was the jam. The homemade stuff were sweet but not too sweet. It's the little stuff that make or break it.

My breakfast today was the "Open Face" with a coffee. The open face was actually a very balanced dish with the crusaunt being light and fluffy. Cutting it with the butter knife they gave me was easy which, in my opinion, was a very good thing that highlighted the positive quality of the pastry. The saveryness of the smoked salmon complimented and did not over power the light, fluffy eggs, or the creamy richness of the hollandaise sauce. The side fresh fruit was the best side of this nature that I've had in a long time. The kiwis, orange, grapes, blueberries, strawberries, watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple, and honeydew were all prepared and ready to ready to consume without any additional work on my behalf as the customer. Good job Toast! The menu seems rather robust and I could totally see myself eating here again to try the other items.

Treated very rudely here. Asked us to leave because the only other table in the room, far away from us, complained that we smelt from the food we ate prior at subway. Very rude and so I asked if they really wanted two members of our group to sit outside. Also- Didn’t have anything we ordered so we left. Wouldn’t recommend this place. Was excited for the food but very disappointed now. Only exception was the waitress who sat us was super nice. The waitress who took our food couldn’t even tell us to leave so she made the nice lady do it.
