Any place that has infused pancakes that are larger than your plate is amazing.

yolanda Robinson

To say that the food was amazing is an understatement. Great flavors, great choices. I've had the pancakes, French toast and burrito. Can't pick one over the other, all so good!!!! Also, the Tortilla chips are some of the best I've tasted. The wait was super quick, party of 6 on a Sunday was less than a 45 minutes...then on a Tuesday, no wait for 3.

Björn Bekkouche

This place is a must! A mountain of pancakes (don't even compare it with IHOP "pancakes") or the mother of french toasts (actually called "mom's french toast" in the menu). And the coffee is GREAT (being a swede and all)!

STEVEN BEARD

Perfect pancakes!! Long wait, but well worth it. Greeter was ok, but the waiters were super friendly and helpful! Would def like to return in the future if I’m ever back in LA

Niles Stillman

Omfg! The food is AWESOME! And well priced for the area. I ordered the pancakes, not knowing what to expect. Just old fashioned buttermilk pancakes, I wasn't interested in any of the other choices. $11.95 was the price...a little steep for pancakes, but we were on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, so hey...my wife ordered a steak omelet with hash browns. The food arrived about 7 minutes later and looked and smelled awesome. To my surprise, the pancakes were about 14 inches around and at least a pound each...there were 3...I ate about a third and was stuffed! In addition to being way too much, they were light and fluffy, and tasted great! I found out later you can order just one, that is the way to go unless you are a competitive eater lol. My wife's breakfast was not as big but still a huge portion. Great flavor in the omelet and hash browns, with the customary avocado slices on top. Would definitely go again, just wish it was closer to home!

I don't know how long I've been coming here. However it's definitely just a little shy of two decades it seems. Always worth any wait. Never been disappointed in any plate I've ever ordered. Overall one of my favorite breakfast places in the United States.

Natalie Haddon

Great food, almost too much food for me to be honest!

B Gallo

Delicious food. Gigantic portions

Serge Chakmakjian

You can probably read 100 other reviews about how good the pancakes are! And they’re all correct. I got something different this time and went with the tacos. If you feel like some Mexican food, the tacos are amazing !! I got the steak tacos.

Jason Lessard

Amazing little breakfast spot that was recommending to us by our Uber driver. Good food, big portions and you even get a French press for your coffee order. When ordering pancakes make sure you are hungry! Pancakes are the size of your plate and come in single, double and triple stacks. Recommend visitors to this area check it out

Alexa Cardenas

Breakfast at this location - delicious. Came here on a Saturday. I will be back with my friends. Prices are appropriate. This place has many good reviews for a reason.

Look, I am a pancake FIEND and this place delivers on amazing pancakes. About a mile from where we were staying we popped in here for breakfast... mostly for the pancakes but also because someone told me you can sometimes spot a celeb eating here and I am nosy like that. We came at the perfect time, weekday at about 8:30 and were seated right away and receiving top notch service which lasted throughout our meal. I ordered a Mocha Coconut Latte that was divine. My colleague ordered regular coffee which he said was awesome as it came in a french press and was robust and smooth. We were warned when we ordered our pancakes. I got the Golden Ticket, my pal got the Banananana. Our server told us there were three pancakes to an order and were huge. We opted for the short stack which is two... and should have gotten a single. These things were enormous. I literally could only eat maybe 2/3 of one pancake. The pancakes themselves are off the charts wonderful. I also ordered a side of bacon... gotta say they have killer bacon here... thick quality slices.

Maxwell McQuirter

Great place for breakfast in Hollywood, open until 4pm. Highly recommend the red velvet pancakes. They are very moist, flavorful and should probably be shared unless you have a big sweet tooth. There is Street parking in front. Be prepared to wait 30-50 minutes during peak times. Service is great so no worries there as well.

Joseph Albanese

Incredible serving size of fantastic pancakes, waffles and french toast. Great brunch, and friendly service. I ate here with a group of friends and had a fabulous meal and great time.Be prepared for a long line and wait time for even 2 tops.Worth it.Bring an appetite!!

David Bradshaw

Iconic LA eatery serves giant portions. A wide cross section of locals and visitors alike weather the long lines to sit in the comfortable booths and dive especially into giant stacks of pancakes that only professional eaters would actually be able to finish a stack of these delicious concoctions. Other menu items are great- I had their take on huevos rancheros which was wonderful- but the pancakes that rethink the very concept are the main attraction.

Rahul Rajeev

Amazing pancakes, incredible french toast, delicious waffles, the list goes on. You may have to wait a while to get a table, but don't let that deter you. If you're in LA, you've got to try The Griddle Cafe!

Rachel Hardy

Really cute environment! Their pancakes are absolutely massive... my friend ordered 3 before realizing 1 pancake is more like 4. The pancakes are DELICIOUS so if you’re looking for a perfect pancake this is the place! I had an omelette which wasn’t bad but wasn’t amazing. (A little too rich for my taste). A couple notes about the service though. My friend asked if he could substitute the side for his meal with something other than garlic toast. He asked for a pancake, and the waitress said sure. They actually just omitted his side altogether and charged him $8 for the pancake. Also, the waitress couldn’t split our bills and told us to do the math (with tax and everything) ourselves. This creates a lot of hassle, especially if you go with a bigger group. So I’m taking an extra star off the review just because I felt that the service was very half-hearted and lazy. Last thing... their menu is all in the same price range. Almost everything is between $14-$17, so if you are looking for either a light snack or something a little fancier, this isn’t the place. They still charge $8+ for just a side.

Sometimes places are a little overrated, but I don't think that's the case with this place. If you have to wait for 45 minutes to an hour on a Saturday or Sunday, one that's pretty typical, and to just put your name on the list and wait because you won't be disappointed! I have been to this place now twice and it's a legit spot. One thing that I like is that it's small on the inside, and they haven't changed that atmosphere. Now when you enter, it is kind of chaotic but once you get seated and your space it's fine. The service is outstanding oh, I believe it's all hands on deck most of the time but servers typically I feel turn over the tables pretty quickly here. The food here is pretty good and it comes out fairly quickly so be ready to eat! Please do not come here and not order a pancake or the French toast. The best thing to do is to order some for the table and to try something else as your main course. However, I am not a big pancake person and I enjoyed the pancakes I had! The pancakes are as big as your head lol. It's definitely a staple brunch spot, so if you're here visiting definitely put this on the list of places to visit!

Anne Lena Hansen

The food is SO incredibly good, but remember to get ONE portion and share! Their portions are HUGE! I wish they had a system that would get homeless people leftovers instead of throwing it away. It's a LOT of food

Kevin Cooke

Amazing peanutbutter french toast and shrimp pesto sandwich

Patrick T'Kindt

Love coming here for breakfast! If you haven't heard by now...the pancakes are HUGE!! I couldn't even finish 1 let alone 3. Plan on getting pancakes to share. This place is definitely an LA staple though!

Filipe Vieira

Good, but wayyy oversized hot cakes. Unless you’re a giant who looks at this as a snack, the dish is nearly twice the size of my head. And double-layered. Rather stick with a smaller portion and this way the ingredients are better balanced. In this case I ordered the teachers pet where the apple to dough ratio could have been better and probably could have done without the big glob of butter.

Sinoun Pil

Service and food is great. It's a smaller restaurant and it gets very busy during lunch hour. Our group of four had to wait about half an hour for a table. It's a good place for some soul food. The tacos were delicious. Their pancakes are enormous (best to share with about four people).

Anna Lewis

Oh my God !!!!!! No breakfast is better !!! I ordered a lot of sweets. The food here is delicious. Only one drawback is the waiting time :-( If you have a busy schedule for the day, this is not the place to go, because I had a waiting time of up to 1 hour, and there is little space. But the food is definitely worth the wait.

Gadgets Four

Nice place and great food, service

Robert Bogolin

We love this place. It is absolutely worth the wait, even if the line looks long. It's hard to find food that looks novel and tastes great, but they accomplish it all. The price in relation to the size is unbeatable. The banana pancakes and the french toast and the best, the savory breakfast items and burgers are great too!

Esther King

The best pancakes in Hollywood. Their Banananana is a hubcap-sized disc of perfection. But I'm biased given banana pancakes are my favorite. Everything here is fresh and delicious. Also, the coffee is served in a French press right at your table. Some of the pancakes here are so large they seem like pure Instagram food. But if you bring a healthy appetite, you're in for the best breakfast around!

Sheri Stohler

Service slow. They said holiday weekend and 3 people called off. The food was tasty, coffee good, most options extremely unhealthy. Large portions. Most servings could serve 3 people. Think of sharing. Have no desire to return. Would not recommend. Not sure why "iconic"

Motuma Tulu

One of the top 3 breakfast places I have been. The food is life changing, you have to get the "Mama French Toast." Service is less than best but you will not care when you taste the food.

Jl Douglas

Good food. Be ready for large portions. Friendly atmosphere. Good service too.

Debbie Lewing

Huge portions, fresh juice, good service.

Simon Ng

Go hungry because the serving size are massive. Great service and good

durrell randle

I can say that I went here The food here is pretty good I like their selection of pancakes as well as they have waffles and other foods as well the seating there is okay and I will say you definitely are going to have a wait if you come here so definitely put on your patience pants you going to need it The prices are pretty okay for the amount of quality for the food you get if you're in the area and you have some patience to check it out you might just enjoy yourself

Kenneth Madsoe

We got there and were lucky that there was no lines! Great food, huge portions (the staff should have told us that we could share the plates as no ordinary human can finish portions of that size) recommend the caballero (breakfast burrito). Ok prices and nice staff! They should give you the option to pay by credit card at the table! I don’t like strangers walking away with my card. It is 2019.

M B

This place is great and well worth the wait. We ordered 3 different pancake orders (between 5 people) and barely ate 1/4 of the order. The Oreo pancake and golden ticket are my favorites. The side of potatoes helped to balance out all the sweetness as well. The place is definitely worth a return visit This is an intimate setting, so be prepared to get close with your neighbor.

Robin V

AMAZING cakes & toast!!! Line out the door for good reason...HUGE PORTIONS (Flintsone-esque) never to be finished by a normal-size person. GREAT VALUE, good service, too!!

Tywana Wright

This place is SMALL but it's so much fun. The pancakes are HUGE...I'm talking bigger-than-the-plate huge! We literally ate off of them for 4 or 5 days. The variety of pancake options is so much fun...I am glad we decided to celebrate my daughter's 13th birthday here. With 5 of us eating, it was only 115.00 which isn't bad for the amount of food we were served (including drinks). We will certainly be back

Sidney Johnson

I don't see the hype for this place. We got in at 7:15am, I'm not sure where the host was but we waiting for 5 minutes before he came to the front to tell us to chose our own seats. The food was good but not something I'd come to again. It nice for groups the portions are big.

Dan Davis

Not many places do I give five stars too. The one thing that made our visit here enjoyable was the host at the front. He did a tremendous job orchestrating table arrangements and keeping us up to date. The coffee was smooth and the food was delicious! Portion sizes are large so I would highly recommend eating “family” style.

Moneeba Khan

We ordered the sunset pancake (which is large enough for probably 3 or 4 people) and french toast. The food was delicious and the portions are huge! Parking is free :)

John Paul Sakakini

Terrific food! Fresh and fast. Ordered the "Some Like it Hot" Scramble. Highly recommended.

David Weisfeld

My local cousin took me here. Ridiculously gigantic pancakes. An order will feed a family of six so careful not to over order. I had an omelet with delicious veggies served piping hot. Highly recommended.

Oscar Magana

Took my kids to the Griddle for the first time yesterday. I had visited the Griddle in Las Vegas a few years ago but when we went back found out it had closed. Then I was informed that the original was here in LA. Anyways, did not disappoint. Pancakes are awesome. Line was long but were seated quickly. Staff was great, waitress was fast and friendly. Can't wait for the next visit. Oh, a little pricey but worth it.

Slade Neeley

The first time back in about 14 years and it was just as good as the first time we went. The food is always delicious and service is quick and friendly. It is hard for me to tell you how wonderful the food is, but trust me when I say you won't be disappointed. We were sat in a room in the back and our server was really attentive considering we were out of the way. Our receipt says our server was Luisina. Thank you, as she was probably one of the best servers we had in the LA area.

THAT FREE SOUL

Pancake portion is insanely big and delicious! El pollo rico was a great choice for lunch as well. Can never go wrong with a classic French toast with fresh strawberries. Will definitely be back to try out more of the menu. Carson our server was a pleasure to meet and we left with smiles.

Stephen Parr

THE BEST pancakes you will have in LA. Huge, fluffy, tasty and when you don't finish, they'll give you a takeaway box

Danielle Blount Bridewell

I love non-touristy diner spots with a laid back vibe, but short of the gigantic stack of pancakes, the food was just ok. The french toast seemed to be a fan favorite, so I'd return just to try it.

Arturo Doyle

Ugh.. there was no service. Listen the food is amazing. French toast, pancakes the size of your head, shrimp sandwich's omg mouth watering.. but the service from start to finish was non existent. We had to complain to actually get someone to take our order. We had to ask the busser for napkins and more water. I had to ask for the check and then I found who I thought was my server which she greeted me with I'm not your server I was cover for your servers break. So no one wanted to tell us? We were jus getting ignored? Thanks. If you want great food and don't care about service, this is your place.

MeshariM2O

This place has magic into it.. the food is fantastic. The service is nice. The atmosphere is so good. Their pancakes are the greatest and it's humongous!!

Adam Moranos

The service is just excellent and the staffs are very polite as well as friendly. Try out the breakfast items such as the burgers, pancakes and the savories, you would love it. The food looks delicious as well as taste awesome.

Tony Angelucci

It is always crowded…and there is always a line to get in. They have more than 10 different kinds of pancakes, a ton of egg dishes, and all the morning favorites. Some of the most enormous breakfast creations you’ll ever find are served up - and they taste incredible too. From their insanely huge pancakes to their ridiculous breakfast burritos - The Griddle is a must do for any breakfast lover. In addition, they have a full lunch menu and serve the entire menu all day! I recommend you try it for yourself and see what you think.

Nicholas Popovac

Busy little gold mine of a breakfast and lunch spot. Always a wait so be prepared. Shrimpling omelet and sunset omelet. Fantastic. Portions are large dont underestimate them. Nothing is bad here. Service 5 stars. Bang for buck 5 stars. Food quality 5 stars. 7 to 4 are the hours weekends 8 to 4. Come early!

Abigail Tyger

Amazing spot for breakfast and lunch! Really laid back atmosphere, great for friends and family. Usually a wait because it gets really busy. They serve giant portions per order, and a little bit on the pricey side. Classic American food at it's finest.

Jessy Vasquez

This place is amazing! The portions are huge! The pancakes are almost a foot wide and come with 3 pancakes! My wife and I share the gone fishing and a pancake and aways fills us up. We even have left overs to take home. All the coffee they serve here is french press so it's always fresh and delicious. I've been here a few times already and always try a new dish each time I come. The breakfast burrito can be better if they didnt use so much lemon juice. Also a home made salsa would work wonders for the dish. Overall this place is simply superb! I'm a lifetime customer! I will be coming back soon!

Alan Donegan

The food was sensational, the French toast crunch, tasty and with the salty butter amazing!! I love this place! If you come one place for breakfast in LA make it this place!! Can get busy so come early!!

BBB Bigbrownbear

Hear Me Roar pancakes was bomb first time I ate a pancake without syrup. My bro in law had Hoagie Omelette and my lady had The Sunset People and they were satisfied. Will come back definitely

steven rivas

Red velvet pancake is not worth it. I got a side of eggs and they were cold. The only good thing was the bacon and the iced mocha. The wait is about 30-45 minutes. Just know once you order you can't order anything else after your food is on the table (on weekends). I tryed to order something else after I was done with my red velvet pancakes and my parents had just started and i was not allowed to. Dumb idea in my opinion. Would I come back? No. the place had a funny smell not joyful while eating. Would I get it to go? Maybe pancakes are not that special. There some places that make better pancakes.

Joe Muni

If you're looking for some wildly creative and outrageously awesome pancakes, then this is your place! Not to mention their awesome french press coffee. I recommend the bold brew.

Tony Gandara

Delicious food and vei friendly service. The servings are huge and pricing is reasonable. Free parking in the back, timed parking on the street.

Harry Warren

A must go spot if you're in the Los Angeles area and you want brunch! Changing menu are a plus as you get a chance to try something different every time. Good flavor and value! They also have a lot of seafood egg dishes as their specials, such as a lobster omelet. I like their unique special offerings! They seem to do it well based on what my friends have told me. Friendly service, unique offerings, great food quality! This restaurant is highly worth checking out!

Phillip V. Garcia

Wow! Wow ! Wow ! There is on WORD'S that can describe the OUTSTANDING food that is served at this place . All I can say is SEEING is believing . You'll enjoy everything about your visit there. Have fun & enjoy !

Dionna Scoggins

The food here is absolutely wonderful and filling. You definitely get a bang for your buck. The atmosphere is kind of loud because of the music. And it's kinda small on the inside but if you're into cozy and personable service, then this is a perfect place.

Alexa Mathews

breakfast and service at this location is excellent. Loved this place from the first taste. The service was very helpful and welcoming. It has a cool interior.

alex michael crook

Silly amounts of food. So good! The nutella french toast was a dream. We gave the rest of our enormous stack to the homeless.

Elizabeth Lizotte-Brown

Excellent food for what it is, plus fast and friendly service. The pancakes are as advertised: delicious AND huge. I loved the potato skin Benedict. Be prepared to wait but they have an efficient process. Recommended.

Kailani Labonog

This was my first time. Great brucnh spot to take a dive into. The wait time wasn't terrible for two and for it being so busy. We waited about 20 minutes or so. It's a cramped restaurant but the food was amazing. They're pancakes are HUMONGOUS and definitely worth your penny. You will more than likely be leaving overly stuffed and ready for a nap. They serve mimosas too! But not unlimited. They had an interesting line set up posts to create a line when you had to put your name down first. The impression it made was that you just wait in line to be seated. Caused confusion, not for just myself but others as well. The host was not very welcoming as the front face of the restaurant, they just seemed to want to mule people in as they went on. Our server disappeared but then we didn't know we had a new server so I felt we sat a while to order another mimosa and then our check. I didn't know who to look for.

Veronica Lynch

Great for breakfast! We came at 9 am and were served quickly. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I had very tasty pancakes for $14 only. Portions are really big. This place is worth the traffic and difficult parking. I will definitely be back.

Sarah Turner

Listen to the waitress when she tells you to only order one pancake. I promise you. Coming from the Midwest I thought I was prepared. I was not. We had the black magic and the espresso chocolate chip. Oreo pancakes? 100% here for it.

Erika Ortega

Impressive variety of pancakes! Nice ambiance. It gets really crowded.

nebil josef

Delicious food, friendly and quick service.

Roman Griffin

Fine location for quality Breakfast. service is always awesome even when they have a full house. the staff was very friendly and kind. this place has a nice feel to it. food is similar to a cafe in indianapolis i liked.

Irene Barberena

The food was amazing. Or I wouldn't have waited. Definitely worth the wait.

John Lee

This place is great if you go with three or more people. They have this policy that if you are only a party of two, you must sit either at the bar or at the tiny "two tops" in the middle. We watched a mother and her two year old being forced to wait while larger parties were seated before her. Final, not did she speak up but so did others. She was told that was their policy and be quiet. The guy keep telling her to be quiet or leave. Finally, another worker came and seated her and her child at a booth, but the original gentleman was still rude and yelling (not just with a raised voice) to be quiet. After they were seated, we decided to leave also. He gave me the rudest stare, have this point, if he is said one thing to me, I was going to grab him and take him out of the restaurant and have thrown them on the curb. I would have just faced whatever charges came my way. No one with a small kid should forced to denied a booth simply because their are only two of you.

Aaron Gant

Mama's French Toast, yes please. GREAT staff and great food. You'll stand in a wait line on the weekend for a reason.

MsValerie Troutt

Quick and efficient. Food was good, place was clean.

Brandon Lane

The pancakes are bigger than your head. And come three stacks high. Fast paced, great service. Amazing food.

Ms Fox

Great staff, great food, especially breakfast, go & try them out. They have big portions so be prepared to eat.

Altek

Best pancakes, period. I've always wanted to try something else but when I see the Sew your oats on the menu, it's all I can see. Order a 3 stack and bring a few friends, because unless you're a huge mess, you won't be finishing these yourself.

Adam Faybrem

Can i say this place was awesome I never seen a pancake any bigger than this in my entire life. Oh guess what I ate the whole thing haha loved the place busy and quirky atmosphere awesome staff! Was here with friends for breakfast!

Carlos Juarez

Good food not crazy expensive for the area

Nicole Mazzilli

I love coming here for breakfast the pancakes are so delicious and HUGE they are definitely shareable. It gets very crowded and it’s not to big of a place but the food is worth it

Michelle Williams

Golden ticket pancakes we're delicious!

Philip Walt

Not a fan. Eaten there a couple times and felt comatose for the entire rest of the day. The portions are huge and it's about the most unhealthy food a person can eat. I think this place is way overrated and caters to people who want a gut bomb and don't have discerning tastes. Blu Jam Cafe is head and shoulders above. The quality can't really compare.

Gregory Mercado

good service, huge pancakes, big as a steering wheel, price range 8 to 12 , feeds 2 to 6. one of the best and most iconic pancakes spots in LA and Cali

Gabriela Salcedo

The best pancakes I have ever had in my life. I don’t think anyone could beat the quality of these pancakes. For only a little over ten dollars, you can feed up to four people with one order of pancakes. For the ultimate sweet tooth, I would get the golden ticket. The whip cream melts and sinks into the pancakes along with the crunchy-ness from the nuts!!!

Innas Iorrilltr

If you have 2 HRs to wait for food in a congested room and don't mind mediocre customer service, then this place gets 4 stars easy. Portion sizes are amazing. The food is super photogenic. Don't get me wrong, the food taste great, but not worth the wait.

Vicki O'Neill

Recommended by a friend while we visited, food was good but portions were way too big for individual portions. Definitely try the pancakes - order 1 to share if you get a separate meal. One pancake can serve four (see photo for hand comparison).

Jazzy Morillo

Amazing service and great tasting food! Even though there was a short wait, we had a slightly bigger group and they sat us right away. Huge servings of pancakes, should definitely share with at least one other person (if not 2 or 3 others). Tried the oreo pancakes (can't remember their menu name), and they were soo tasty! Already feeling like I need to go back to get them again.

John George

I've been there twice now since visiting Beverly Hills and both times were so awesome! Food is great as is the service. Keep up the fantastic work.

Kisha Johnson-Smith

In Cali, vacationing. This place had a line outside the door on a Wednesday (late) morning and was PACKED before Noon. We waited maybe 15-20 minutes, but we’re greeted right away. From what I see, the pancakes are colossal! The service was decent, although my husband’s food took longer than everyone else’s, there were no real complaints. Griddle Cafe came highly recommend and it was worth it. Caveat: one pancake can be shared!

Gomo Kollie

Stumbled upon this place while in the area and was delightfully surprised how good the french toast is..... I mean, really good! Came in between 2-3 in the afternoon, not much of a crowd, so the waiters will give you extra attention, lol. Had the turkey sausage as a compliment. All around great "testing the waters" meal. Looking forward to other menu items in the future!!

Christina Jackson

The food and service was awesome!

Karl 1974

Elevated takes on breakfast classics draw diners to this hip, bustling American cafe.

Beth

Just WOW! Just go to see the art of their family sized pancakes. If heaven serves breakfast some of this menu may be included. Note: don't just stand in the line! Walk to the front, put your name on the list THEN wait in the generally down the block line.

Emilia Clarkson

This place is bout as nuts as it can get in the weekend. Why have they decided not to open another location? Really the only time you can go is on a Wednesday. The food really is fantastic, never had a bad meal. But to wait in line for 2 hours for eggs...just a little nutty.

Colleen Zayas

So sharing is caring bc we hate wasting food! Enormous portions so go hungry! The pancakes can probably be shared between 5 people! Delicious and we had leftover and took it for later.

Virginia Nussey

Come here, your taste buds will thank you. The pancakes look epic (3-stacks deep and size of large pizza) but we opted for their cinnamon French toast and peanut butter crunch French toast. We ded. We even came 2 mornings in a row while staying in Hollywood for the weekend. The whole staff, like Lydia our server, was really nice, including the persons working the door and managing the 20 people deep line of folks waiting for a seat. Expect a 30 minute wait — goes quick. It was 2 for 1 champagne cocktails on Sunday, maybe all weekend? Enjoy!

Jared Hartman

10/10. Loved it here! My wife lived close by here a few years back and she always talked about The Griddle so on our most recent trip we ventured up here to try it out and I was blown away. The atmosphere, the staff and the food were all excellent. The food blew me away. The portion size and taste were top notch. Highly recommend.

Faisal Alshehri

Baked Potato Omelette, Peanut butter french toast. Absolutely fantastic. Must try!!

Tyrell Shoemaker

First know that they are busy, so be prepared to wait for a spot, we had about 5 groups ahead of us and had about a 20 minute wait. Once we were seated the service was quick and super nice! The noise level is high, but casual conversation can still be had. The food (we only had sweet stuff at our table) was amazing! I ordered the Peanut Bubba, which is basically Nutter Butter crusted french toast! If you love peanut butter this is a must try! The portion was huge, I wasn't able to finish it all despite being 11 am and not having eaten anything since dinner the night before! My friends ordered Scotch on the Rocks, pancakes with butterscotch chips, pecans, oats, and coconut! The stack of three fed both of them with half left over! The prices seem high but for the amount of food you get really are decent. Highly recommend it!

carmine lomonaco

Don't let these one-star reviews fool you. They are people who either don't know food well enough or they're looking for a Michelin Star restaurant which serves a meal equivalent to the size of a U.S. Quarter on an oversized dish topped with a ton of fancy drizzles. This place deserves exactly five stars. For $13, I got a triple stack of pancakes filled with bananas, brown sugar, walnuts, with fresh whipped cream. Easily could be a dish for two, maybe three. The pancakes are not exactly cosmetically appealing, also the inside of the place could use a touch up (these are two reasons that cause negative reviews).

Khalid Mohammed

Very delicious food. Excellent service. Portions are huge and a bit loud, but worth the visit for sure

Destiny Cunningham IG: dezr

The wait was long and the food was only okay. The Host was very accomidating, but the staff seemed rushed for a Friday morning. It was a packed house. We had about a 25 minute wait. We got the Cheese Omelet and the French Toast. The French toast had a good flavor, but the bread was soggy and I did not like that. The Cheese Omelet was almost more cheese than eggs.

sheila manns

Alway great food and great service. The wait time is definitely worth it!!!

Steven Prevost

Absolutely wonderful place to eat. Busy and loud atmosphere but that’s what makes this place fun. Awesome food and for coffee you can get your own French press!

Ashley Dedear

Absolute favorite in LA. I use to take anyone that visited me when I lived in the area and now I make sure to go when visiting California. You will love the coffee press and Hear me Roar pancakes. Its truly a one of a kind Cafe!

Lisa N

One of my favorite places to go in LA. Yum!!!

Most amazing pancakes I've ever had! I got the pumpkin pie pancakes and they were scrumptious! I tried my aunts red velvet pancakes and they were amazing too! I got an iced Mocha latte and that was good too. You more than likely will have to wait a long time, we waited 45 mins, but it was worth the wait!!

What can I say. 3 stack of pancakes biggest I've ever seen. They were literally 12 inches wide. Taste was truly delicious

Phenomenal breakfast all around. Wife got Papas Benedict and a Chai Latte. I got the Mom's French Toast, Gourmet Sausage, home fries, and a medium roast press. Great atmosphere and mood. Food was nothing short of amazing and portions are MASSIVE. Must try!!!

If you love pancakes, you will love this place. A lot of options ! Coffee is a french press and tastes awesome. The pancakes are gigantic, a plate can be shared between 2 or 3 people. So many people eat the middle and leave the rest. The host was a bit cold; as we walked through the door his first words were "how many", doesn't cost much to say "hi"/"welcome". Neverthelss, great breakfast place.

It's definitely gimmicky and a such a waste of food but it tastes amazing! The pancakes are humongous and I don't think that anyone around our table finished theirs since they're so big. It was a little bit after 10a when we arrived and the place was jammed packed. Make sure to talk to the host to get your name on the list and don't just take a spot in line. The hash and eggs was so good! Not a fan of the French press coffee but it was alright. Definitely will hit this spot next time I'm in L.A.

Nice experience to try giant pancakes, but the reception wasn't nice when getting into the Cafe.

Giant pancakes that were delicious l and the Hash It Out was the level of spicy I need in my life. Finally a place that is actually worth the wait

The service is amazing and the food is really great (their pancakes are huge). It's quite the wait before being seated and before you get your food after ordering. It is quite the amazing café, though.

It is a small restaurant and apparently every popular so expect to wait at least 45 minutes. The French toast was amazing. The pancakes were okay but they are huge! It's definitely enough for at least 3 people, I'm not a small guy. The prices ar very reasonable and the portion sizes are very generous. It was worth the wait.

The Griddle cafe is such a cozy place to get breakfast. They have a huge menu selection that you can choose from. I went on a Thursday and it wasn't very pack. I was able to get a seated within a second, they also provided a quick service. One good thing is food portion is huge! This place is worth a 4-5 stars but they forgot to take sauces out of my omelet other than that everything was great!

Regina Zielke

The pancakes are amazing and it’s worth it to wait in the line. We definitely come again. Best pancakes so far !

Carla Tiwns

Unbelievably delicious. You will not believe these pancakes. This is a must have on your list to do at least once type of location. I had the old-fashioned and even without all the toppings they are the best ever.

This was my 2nd time here @ the griddle. My son brought me here a few weeks ago and i loved it. Happen to be on the area and hungry thought i would stop in. And AGAIN the food was FANTASTIC! I think i found a new spot?

The food is always delicious and the servings are so large you can easily split some orders between 3 people. Parking isn't bad for Hollywood, either. The only downside is the wait, which there will be no matter what time you come by. The inside is cozy and the atmosphere is very casual. Definitely worth dropping bu if you're in the area.

Came to this restaurant out of town. To see what the hype was all about. Honestly i don't think it's worth the wait or price. It's more of a tourist attraction then anything. The red velvet cake was decent, the other pancake we ordered (oreo) was super dry. The service was wasn't the best either. It took us 30 mins after seating to get a cup of water. With three people the bill came up to $80. This is not a high end restaurant nor the food to spend that much on what we received. I would skip it, not worth the hype.

Amazing food. The BLUESberry pancakes were a good choice to me. I love their potatoes very flavorful. Can take time since it is a very popular breakfast and lunch dinery.

This place has never let me down. The omelets are great and the pancakes are to die for. I highly recommend.

Today my blue berry pancake hunt took me to The Griddle. This place is very popular and you have to wait in line to get a table from when they open. The potions are over the top! I severing is like a full birthday cake in size. Its impossible to eat it all. Great coffee and good service. If you go - share your meal!

Wow , awesome experience. This is a real taste of America!!

A favorite spot for tasty cafe food. I love this place, excellent food & service. I will be back with my relatives. The place has a good atmosphere. Atmosphere and food reminds me of Virginia Beach.
