Fabulous inventive food. Paced perfectly. Subtle but always there service. Deserves its top notch reputation
Excuisite culinary experience with sensational wine pairing and impeccable service. One of my favorite meals of all time!
Celebrated our anniversary there and it exceeded our expectations. there were times during the meal that i wanted to scream how good my last bite was! Thank you for everything. We shall be back.
Food and servings were amazing. Dessert was the best part, the sweets just kept coming. Staff gave us a tour of the kitchen after our meal. Great experience.
This place is obviously well-known for a reason and it takes extremely long to get a reservation. Frankly dinner was extremely delicious and unique but I'm not sure it was worth THAT long of a wait.
We had lunch here, chef tasting menu. It was amazing. The wine pairings were fantastic--not only on their own, but in combonation with the meal pairings. This was the most delicious lunch I have ever had the pleasure on enjoying.
Incredible service, food and pairings. Highly recommend the wine pairing it makes the food even more incredible.
The current menu as of 9/21/18 is a little underwhelming. Highlights were the lobster and deserts. The other courses simply weren't up to 3 Michelin star status. Nothing was less than good, but nothing was amazing either. The service stood out as truly exceptional.
Love the fact that they grow their own veggies
quality meals, yeah, super good. Super tasty. Prices that are reasonable. Atmosphere and food reminds me of Virginia Beach.
Great presentation and service. The food was very good. Not sure if it was mind blowing but maybe that's an expectation difference after hearing about this restaurant for so many years. The presentation and venue is superb. definitely a good experience overall. I was surprised by how noisey some of the other tables near us were. More casual in that sense than I would have imagined. I thought it would be whispers in there.
Great experience and even greater food
By far, the most attentive service I've ever had. Menu was over-the-top incredible. Worth every penny. Can't wait to come back.
Typical of a restaurant of this caliber, the service was impeccable. Beautiful location nestled in the heart of wine country. However, I was a bit underwhelmed by the food. When visiting also check out there herb garden located outside the restaurant. Still a good choice for a special occasion.
The quintessential "perfect execution" of everything, every time. I've spent my life seeking the "best" dining experiences, and this one tops the list! Was on the "bucket-list" to go for a long time and finally got a table with the newer "ticketing" system on line a few months ago. Now it's on that bucket-list the keep going back!
Luxury fine dining with great experience!
Celebrated Golden Anniversary - a lifetime event!!
Too expensive, nice enough. Lol . Really nice, great service!! Food amazing!!! I'm just a tight wad as they say! Go! Enjoy ;)
Very$$$$$. But I will go back, it is that good and this will be the best service ever in any restaurant. Wine prices are outrageous, but the corkage fee is equally high.
Hard to live up to the hype of The French Laundry but they certainly did. What a fantastic experience of wonderful food, wine and service. If you love food and are will be in the area, I highly recommend going. Hope to make it back someday.
Fancy over priced
We enjoyed dinner here very much. The Oysters and Pearls dish was one of our favorites. We had some great halibut too. The parker house roll and Animal Farm butter were great. My friend got the truffle mac and cheese...I've never seen that amount of truffle go into a dish. He loved it. The desserts were great too - make sure you save room. The portions are small but they keep coming. My friends were celebrating birthdays and the staff really made them feel special. We did a kitchen tour after our meal. Really a great place.
Bucket list dining experience!! All of the staff was professional, accommodating and delightful. The food is beyond description. Such a wonderful once in a lifetime experience.
Lut of this world amazing food is beyond good
Amazing dining experience! It is the most exciting place to eat in the US - sophisticated but real food. The flavors were well-balanced and everything was cooked to perfection. I felt like there was a wonderful balance between traditional French technique and modern texture/flavor combinations. The service is professional and at the same time relaxed, helpful and nice. It is an experience you will remember for a long time and you will be thinking it might be time for another visit!!
Everything you can expect and more. Service is impeccable without being pretentious. The food cannot be compared. Every dish was perfectly balanced. Being adventurous is a must otherwise you'll miss out on so many opportunities to taste otherworldly delicacies. Wines are by glass, half or full bottle, but are so perfectly paired and selected that trust in the staff isn't given a second thought. Loved every second.
Very very nice place..Food was great but not sure if it was worth the price tag..servers were very helpful..accommodated our baby superbly..expect to spend 2-3 hours..worth a visit for anniversary
Very approachable tasting menu focused on the highest-quality, freshest-possible ingredients all executed with perfect attention to detail. Chef Keller remains one of our country’s great culinary resources. Splurge on the supplements, especially the truffles and the wagyu beef (if available) - after all, you’ve come this far, what’s a little more?
Absolutely incredible! It's not just that the food tastes really good - the food experience is unique and adventurous. The chef's tasting menu tour it's way through the creamy and the dense, savory and sweet. I would often poke my fork to stab a fruit only to find a super creamy sauce. The flavors jump all over the tongue with spikes of tart. I had this one dish that was like a scallop pancake - the texture had this softness of whipped mashed potatoes but with the outer surface of a doughy fresh pancake. This linked perfectly with a subtle delicious scallop, onion, cream flavor. Once I added the tart sauce and cavier, I was left me dumbfounded by the overwhelming completeness of the bite. Excellent experience and more than a meal!
Food is Very delicious, every dish. Welled trained staff. Good atmosphere. I particularly like the chef. He really knows how to cook and is warm to his frequent visitors.
I've had meals at Gotham in NYC, Charlie Trotters in Chicago, and so far this is the best. There is typically a seven course meal, and expect to spend 3 hours for dinner. We had one guest with an extensive set of food allergies, and they were completely accommodating. The price is not for the faint of heart, but if you're a food and wine afficionado like me, it was well worth it. Men must wear a jacket.
Our entire experience was great! Me and my friends went to this resto to catch up with each other but we were just able to talk about how good the foods are! I always love do to food trips and I can say that they offer a different version to the dishes! Will definitely come back
Maybe I'm not the one to ask but I don't get spending A LOT of money on weird expensive dishes. Cute place but the ambience certainly is not worth the money!
Had a great time great environment
Absolutely delicious! From the classic oysters and pearls to the meticulously crafted wagyu beef, each course is it's own unique culinary experience. Worth the trip to Napa just to experience this outstanding Thomas Keller's restaurant.
We had the white truffle and caviar special tasting menu. It was an amazing experience. The staff and feel of the dining room was much more fun and casual than we were expecting compared to other 3 star Michelin restaurants we have been to. This was truly one of the best dining experiences we have ever had!
It's such fun when it turns out the hype actually downplays a place. Excellent all round. Thanks for having us.
What can I say that hasn't been said already. One of the great chef's of the world working at his highest level. The Wagyu beef was so good I can become a vegetarian now since nothing will ever taste as good again. Phenomenal but casual service.
Are you kidding me of course this is perfect! Best dining experience of my life, hands down.
It's hard to say anything bad about a place that strives for perfection. The atmosphere, decor and food were phenomenal.
One of the most memorable experience I've ever had. You're paying for not only the food, but the incredible service and experience each and every staff member is able to bring to the table! Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable and I couldn't have asked for a better experience!
Everything made to perfect.
A truly memorable journey of cuisine, service, and ambiance!
Simply impeccable. The meals were all carefully crafted to strike the right balance of elegance and flavor. Everything was fresh and unique, unlike anything I've had before.
We had high expectations for TFL from all the hype and attention this restaurant gets and our expectations were beyond exceeded. Brian, the sommelier, and his pairing were phenomenal. The plates were all decadent and delicious, exactly as expected. We cannot wait until our next visit.
Exceptional in every regard. And so great to see the man himself there. The quality of the food and the service is just world class. Thank you for such a memorable evening.
This is the place that I wanted to, to taste the food that makes me satisfied and enjoyable for that moment. Excellent!
I went a few years ago, food was amazing but I was put off by the add ons you are alryplay to much for food, but now $50+ to swap a plate for something with truffels? Bah greedy.
Wow. Wow. Every course is astonishing. If you can, do. You will remember it.
I am a meat and potatoes kind of guy. Love steak houses and basic dining. I am a pretty picky eater. My wife and I agreed to dine here with friends we were meeting in the area. First off, the restaurant is gorgeous and the grounds beautiful. Stunning. The staff, from the first interaction to the last, were genuine, fun, knowledgeable, engaging and really made the experience over the top. Now for the food. WOW. The attention to detail, as expected, was perfect. The combination of flavors in each course was perfectly balanced. The quantity left you wanting more, but at the end of the evening, we were perfectly filled. Amazing meal. Amazing experience. Thank you Chef for pulling together such a marvelous feat of perfection. I am no photographer, but wanted to share some snapshots
Had a 3 months waiting period. There is a lot more of where the food came from and how the chef made it than the actual food. It was still a unique experience with many different courses about a spoon size bite. My family and I expected the dessert to be bigger but no it was just a bite size! I think $$$$ fine dining is a one time experience. I expected a lot more going in after driving that long. Also we ate pizza on the way back.
When a restaurant is the paragon of a whole region, and that region is one of the best in the world for dining, it's hard to live up to expectations. The French Laundry does. Keller was not in the kitchen, but everything was working in concert, providing friendly, consummately knowledgeable service of refined, delicious food and appropriate wines. In the universe of fine dining, it's a good value, even.
My wife and I recently ate here as a stop on our belated honeymoon trip. We walked in at 5PM and asked for an opening, the general manager had just 1 at 8PM - so lucky! (We had been told it was nearly impossible to do without reservation 6 months in advance) When arriving we were served complimentary bubbly and were also greeted by customized menus congratulating us on the occasion. Every member of the staff was incredible. They were all exceptionally happy, smiling, friendly, accommodating, patient, and gracious. Needless to say the food for the meal was a unique experience second to none. The atmosphere is cozy but private, a great selection of music plays softly in the background and every table has candlelight. After the dinner we were given a tour of the kitchen, took a picture, and even greeted the staff. Every penny and moment spent there is something we will cherish for our lifetimes. We were even sent home with keepsakes and mementos to further remember our evening. A++ to Thomas Keller and his impeccable staff.
Phenomenal experience, attentive staff and amazing food - thanks!!
Absolutely the best! Amazing culinary creations, which is a heavenly experience for the palate. The garden is a beautiful stroll. Service is very attentive and gracious.
Most amazing place to eat in the Bay area, we love coming here, be prepared to spend a little money but the tasting menu is amazing
Truly one of the Best Restaurants in the World! The food was breathtaking from the first bite. Beginning with a salmon, cream cheese cone starter, we went through seven courses including three options to swap menu items (e.g., lamb for wagyu beef). As it was my wife's birthday, they started dinner with a complementary champagne and then brought a birthday cake for dinner. And given Thomas Keller has a sweet tooth, the birthday cake was just one of seven desserts served...not to mention extras in a bag to go. Afterwards, they took us to the kitchen, which was immaculate and extremely impressive, allowing us to take pictures at the pass. It's an event of a lifetime and worth every penny.
There are many reasons why this is considered the USA’s top place to eat, but my favorite part is the location. Almost tucked into a neighborhood, across from their own farm and garden. The French Laundry embodies fine dining while avoiding an unapproachable attitude. Making Michelin stars shine in the eyes of everyone lucky enough to walk through their doors.
Quality Meals and the feeling at this place is excellent. I give this place two thumbs up. This place has positive reviews for a reason.
A fantastic meal ... bring your credit card. Ha! Amazing experience.
Excellent service and atmosphere (5+ stars) but some of the plates have very unique flavors and ingredients that weren't always to my taste. A lot of the signature dishes were also similar to the chef's NYC restaurant.
Amazing experience overall from the food to the service to the ambience. Wasn’t quite flawless as you would expect from a 3 star Michelin restaurant as the Wagyu we upgraded to was not cooked medium rare (was closer to medium well). Also an issue with the bill as not everyone had wine pairings, but they took care of that. But besides those 2 things, everything else was superb, definitely ranks up there in my list of restaurants to check out.
This was probably the best meal I will ever eat but if your checking this you already knew that. Couple things to note. They can totally accommodate vegan diets (and did so miraculously). Our sommelier was excellent and really took his time with the table offering interesting as well as thoughtful choices. Finally the staff was, as expected, phenomenal. A whole other level of awesome
The Board Room makes for an unforgettable dinner experience.
Definitely worth the price. Been to many Michelin restaurants and this one definitely does meet the criteria for a 3 star experience. Reservations for 2 people can be extremely challenging, so i highly recommend getting 2 other friends as making a reservation with 4 people was a lot easier to manage.
The pinnacle of fine dining. All dishes were well prepared, presented in artful way and delicious. Service was top notch by a knowledgeable staff.
Wow, best food experience ever. Definitely must try at least once in your lifetime.
My family and I went to the French Laundry last night and had the most incredible, memorable experience possible. We were in San Francisco for my Make-A-Wish trip, and my parents, having been to the French Laundry once before, said we needed to go, because it was the greatest meal they ever had. We were lucky enough to get reservations, and I spent the entire day looking forward to our night. The meal started off wonderfully. The food was unreal, as was the service, but a few courses in my baby sister, who had been feeling sick all afternoon, threw up all over the dining room (not at all due to the food, I should add.) I was obviously MORTIFIED. Here we are at one of the most famous restaurants in the world, and my little sister just got sick all over the floor. The service, however, completely changed my horror to amazement. They set up a separate room for my baby sister to sleep in; they brought us down to the kitchen to meet the (unbelievably talented) chefs and took pictures with us; they cleaned our table and area and continued on with the meal as though nothing had happened. At the end of the night when they brought the check, we found that it had been comped. My mom burst into tears, and so did I. All in all, the best meal I’ve ever had with the best service I’ve ever had, and one of the most memorable nights I will ever have. Truly, they made my entire Make-A-Wish trip.
I had high expectations for a restaurant that 11 years ago was heralded as the best in the world. Based on other Michelin Star restaurants visited, I was surprised this had 3 stars. We ate at The French Laundry restaurant on Monday night and while the food was very good, the service was not as good. We asked for wine pairings and were disappointed in the wines selected for us. Also, we felt rushed, as if the staff needed to turn over the table. Dishes came quickly, one dish after another and dinner was completed in under 3 hours rather than the usual 4+ for a restaurant of this caliber. For the price paid, there are other restaurants which provide superior service and a better dining atmosphere.
Absolutely the best dining experience! The food was incredible, the staff was very engaging, attentive, knowledgable and surprisingly fun. The building and grounds were beautiful as well.
This will possibly be the best dining experience of your life.
AMAZING hospitality and excellent service with warmth. They took the time to add several personal touches to their service in addition to the awesome food and the hospitality. Highly highly recommend!!!
Service was impeccable. Food was beyond amazing. A must visit.
World class for a reason
Absolutely amazing!! The best food and service!
Fabulous meal and just as spectacular service as you would expect. The kitchen is viewable from a patio area - they served our dessert outside to enjoy the perfect weather and the views of the chef doing his work. Clearly this is not an every-night event (or even every decade) but it is worth experienced if you can foot the bill!
I mean...do google reviews even matter for a restaurant like this?? Michelin stars have nothing on google reviewers. ☺️ In all seriousness, our experience here was incredible. They went above and beyond to celebrate me and my husband’s 10th wedding anniversary. Every course was mind blowing
A fantastic dining experience. The degustation menu was excellent and the dishes big enough that we were not hungry at the end of the meal. The wines were little know to us (Aussies) but were likewise fantastic. The service was very elegant as it should be at this price point. Only difficulty is booking online from Australia months before hand at 3am. The latency (data travel time) of the internet at that distance puts us at quite a disadvantage and booking took several attempts. Anyway an excellent experience.
One of the best meals I've ever had. Definitely worth the price paid for this awesome meal and experience. I would love to go again if I get the chance to. Pictures posted in my Facebook account.
The best dinning experience of my life. It is a first class establishment all around. This is a must for foodies. This is a one of a kind restaurant and I feel fortunate to have donned there. It is worth every penny.
GREAT PLACE Chef Keller and STAFF make this place THE BEST
Very underwhelmed. This was a bucket list item for my husband and I, and we were disappointed. Food was average, and we both felt pretty sick about 2 hours after eating there. We don’t mind spending money on a meal, but this was a huge letdown unfortunately.
Absolutely exquisite meal. TK is a complete master of his craft. Service was friendly, warm, and generous. One of my favorite places on this beautiful Earth!
You've read other reviews, you watched TV shows cover this place. Is it worth it? Yes. Tips: Don't come starving, eat a little something prior so you can really take your time, enjoy the textures and layers of flavor. Ask if you can see the Kitchen and staff after your meal. Plan to reserve a seating 3+ months in advance. It's an experience people try to come from all over the world only to get rejected so be patient and plan ahead. This is something to experience at least once.
A5+ And 3 Michelin stars make it desirable and the staff make it #1 thanks again Thomas always look forward to dinner at any of your restaurants
What can I say.. love it
Amazing experience, world-class service, great wine, and some fairly good food to boot. When my co-workers wanted to go to French Laundry, I wasn't quite sure why they were so excited. I've never been one for super-expensive michelin starred restaurants, always preferred the simple life (Beef noodle soup!!). However, I wasn't going to pass up a free trip to French Laundry so I decided to go with the flow. Wasn't quite sure what to expect as I rolled into the place - definitely not a beautiful house in a small town with a nice small courtyard, amazing kitchen, and views overlooking a garden. The restaurant itself is definitely on the small size (imagine a 2 story 3000 sq ft house), but very comfortable, well-decorated, and impeccable service. We had a private room which took up a corner of the restaurant so we had great views of the garden and the courtyard. We had a 10 course menu with wine pairing - I don't remember every single item I got but the basic themes I remember: There was nothing I didn't really like, though some of the items had flavor combinations that I wasn't sure if they worked 100% The meats were delicious - I ate a lamb dish that was super tender, one of the best lambs I ever got. The fish were amazing as well. Plating was impeccable - everything was as much art as it was a meal. One dish had a tiny egg (quail egg size) that they filled with some sort of custard. So amazing. Service was exquisite and palatial - every course was all removed at once and presented at once for everyone seated. No idea how the waiters/waitresses accomplish that every time. We ended with a tour of the kitchen, which was huge, spotless, and lives up to what you need to run one of the best restaurants in the world. Don't know if I'll be back soon, but a unforgettable experience. Also the biscuits and laundry clip you get at the end of the night is unforgettable.
Hands down the best dining experience my wife and I ever had was here at French Laundry. The service was kind and friendly. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The food was flawless. If you are seeking the perfection of technique in cooking, this is the place to go to. My recommendation is that if you are lucky enough to get a reservation here, book another reservation for a nights stay.
I mean, it's The French Laundry. Food and service were perfection. Your glass is never empty as the servers will top you off during the meal (and you ordered a bottle of wine). Oysters and pearls is the highlight of the meal. Had reservations at 6:30 pm and stayed until about 11pm. If I had one critique it would be that it gets surprisingly loud for an upscale restaurant. Thought it would be an ambient buzz versus the typical chatter of a restaurant. Still, being here, you're wrapped up in your own world to be bothered by the noise.
A bucket list experience that was everything I had hoped for and MORE! Food and atmosphere were outstanding, service was impeccable - and on top of it, IT was a surprise for my birthday!
It’s called the Temple for a reason . Perfection in American Cuisine.
While the food is certainly good, our experience did not meet the hype and expectations of an iconic and expensive 3-star restaurant. Some of our biggest disappointments revolved around issues we had with wine. The bottle we brought should have been decanted but rather was just opened and placed on our table with minimal service - despite the $150 corkage fee. We were dining with three somms at our table and they too were shocked at the lack of service. We ordered another bottle during dinner only to find on the bill at the end of the meal that we were overcharged. Which is fine, as mistakes do happen, but rather than a simple apology for the mix-up we received a strange and contrived argument (that made zero sense) that ultimately ended up with them offering a bottle "on the house" to which we declined. Needless to say this left a bad impression on us at the end of a 3 hour meal. The food, of course, was good - although not great. Some of the wait staff were excellent but service overall was not exceptional by any means. At a place like this where you as a customer invest a lot of time and money, you expect the best and TFL simply did not deliver on that during our visit.
Lives up to reputation.
A little to pricy for my taste
A fav location for quality meals. came here on a saturday. service treated us so kindly.
I've had better...
Wonderful service and food. Price really not digestible. One time experience, should be done.
Amazing experience. Save room for a breath taking desert
Always the food is a work of art; joy, joy, joy, to my taste buds. Service makes me feel at home.
Best meal I have ever eaten, and overall a great experience.
Amazing food, wonderful attention and a special occasion and the $$$$ is fully worth it. Deserving of their 3 stars.
5 stars for service. The whole team goes above and beyond. When I realized I did not have my XD card one of the team immediately offered to give me his personal one. WOW. So patient and kind and personable. Plus the delectable dishes on top of that!
Best place ever
Exquisite food, customer service, and over all beautiful restaurant. Very grateful for the experience.
A true dining experience
Far exceeded expectations! To start off, PLAN AHEAD! They open reservations only so often. I got on Tock and was waiting for the moment the reservations were released. Was lucky I got one because they go very fast! Tables for 2 go quickly. Grabed a 5:30 reservation which was very nice to have time in the evening after the meal. I went into the evening with high expectations and they exceeded them on every level. The building and grounds are beautiful. We parked across the street and were able to walk by their garden before coming over to the restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They never made me feel dumb with any of my questions. I asked questions about the various elements of the food and thet new about the sourcing, preperation, history of the cooking terms, and made it fun to learn. Every course of the meal was amazing! Simply amazing. The oysters and pearls might have been my favor or the braised roast. Each course was amazing. Dessert came out as 4 dishes pluse several accompaniments. Then at the end the brought out house made hand painted chocolate truffles. Loved going into the kitchen for a look and waving to the team at Per Se in NYC. Just amazing. We would spend the money to go back again. It was special the whole evening.
Awesome meal and experience! My favorite part was walking into the kitchen at the end. It felt like walking into Ratatouille!!! Portions were perfect, food was obviously delicious, and the staff was fun and friendly.
It’s a classic and an institution. It’s everything it’s hyped up to be. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and the atmosphere. We did not do the wine paring and opted for a nice vintage bottle to enjoy during our entire meal. I think that was a good choice. The desert courses were whimsical. Leaving this meal I was the most full I have ever been. Highly recommend for a special occasion.
Beautiful place in with such an amazing staff. We were given a kitchen tour and it was the most organized and amazing kitchen that we have seen. The staff was really friendly and offered us fancy chocolates and were really happy to see us. We really enjoyed this experience and we will definitely be back.
The TFL lived up to its hype. Amazing flavor and textures on all the dishes. We went with the regular menu with a nice bottle of stag's Leap cab from Benchmark Vineyard. Most memorable foodie experience ever.
This place will always be special in my heart. My fiance brought me here last spring to propose to me. As a foodie, he knew I would love this. I had EASILY the best of my life here (the white strawberries were to die for, and this is the best beef I've ever tasted) and then he proposed to me in their garden. It was beautiful and I will never forget it. Thank you Thomas Keller for making this possible!
Awesome dining experience. The caviar dish that I have pictured is one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life. This was my first 3 Michelin star restaurant and I wasn't disappointed.
Most incredible experience - food, service, wine, food, service, service - I cannot express enough - how impressed we were with the service. So warm. If you ever have the opportunity to plan a dining experience to the French Laundry - DO! Such a comfortable atmosphere - zero pretension. The food was so incredible, we are hoping to make this an annual trip and we are also now inspired to visit all of the 3-star Michelin restaurants in the USA. So fortunate to have some in the Bay Area - next stop.
What an experience. Service is perfect, good is tasty and selection of wine is breathtaking. Very professional personnel. It it's pretty pricey, but the experience is totally worth it. The tour through the kitchen and the wine cellar is definitely a plus and adds to the overall perception of this fine dining place.
My family went to this restaurant on 12/30/2017, I was very proud to tell my mom and mother in law that I was going to take her to a top 50 restaurant in the world. Unfortunately, the dishes at The French Laundry are very disappointed. We have eaten several Michelin-starred restaurants in the Bay Area, so I think my comments are very fair. There is no any dish makes me feel surprised. 12 dishes are almost the same salty and greasy. There is no change in taste and flavor between the dishes. Although every dish is very small, my mother and I still have 3-4 dishes not finished. Even though the famous “oysters and pearls “ was salty, salty, salty.... On the other hand, the environment is also very poor. In the beginning, the table that the waiter arranged for us was near the stairs. The stairs were a railing, I just sit against the stairs. People up and down the stairs just like stepping on my back. After negotiation, the waiter changed the table on the second floor. Their service is good though. Anyway, the restaurant’s dishes don’t match its reputation.
Excellent and yummy food, I love the character the spot has, and the workers were kind. Will surely come back again.
Oh my god! This place is staggeringly good. Superb food, absolutely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff.
The experience is worth the price!
A truly magnificent dining experience. Culinary magic; flavors, textures, colors beyond belief.
I had very high expectations from this place, given how difficult it is to get reservations. I ordered the vegetarian tasting menu while my companion ordered the chef's tasting menu. Food was very good and the staff was very attentive. A little tour of the plating/finishing kitchen at the end was a welcome surprise. The place has good ambience. Taking one star off because the veg and non veg courses were not "matched". We had visited another Michelin star restaurant in San Jose and ordered veg and non-veg tasting menu. Most of the courses had been meticulously matched in plating /presentation, and they also tried to match flavors where possible. I would love for French Laundry chef to take it up as a challenge and go the next step in menu planning. Of course, independently taken, their food is awesome and they have no shortage of business
One of the best place to have a romantic dinner.
Amazing. This was one my “must try before I die” list and it did not disappoint. A Chef Thomas Keller creation. The restaurant is in an National Historical Building from the 1900’s making the atmosphere quaint and intimate. Dinner is served in courses each one out doing the next. Favorites were the Marcho Farms Veal with morel mushroom porridge and the sweet butter poached Maine lobster with crispy picholine olives, globe artichoke and fino verde basil. The wine menu is extensive and impressive! If you are planning a trip to Napa don’t miss the stop. You will need to make reservations a few months in advance as they keep a full reservation ledger.
Food was beyond exceptional. A restaurant that finally lives up to the legend. We had a wonderful time and experience!
Only five stars is woefully inadequate to express the experience. It's ridiculously expensive and reservations are nearly impossible to get. And if you are able to secure one, rest assured that the experience is a bargain to experience the sheer passion and artistry of Thomas Keller and his dedicated and absolutely wonderful crew
Thank you so much to Manny for an amazing experience!
Everything you would expect from such a renowned chef. Food was great. Service was impeccable.
O M G This place is amazing and Chef Keller is a gentleman. The team there made us feel like royalty.
I came in with high expectations and French Laundry exceeded them all!
The most impressive dining experience of my life. Walk by TFL garden in the morning of your reservation to see the veggies in the group d you'll eat later! First class food and service all the way.
I've had the best meal(s) of my life here. If you haven't been, put it on your bucket list.
There are no words to describe such an extraordinary meal and service.
quality meals, very delicious. Stopped in on a Tuesday. There was quick, helpful, and friendly service.
You will not be disappointed. Amazing service and food. A truly once in a life time experience.
Absolutely extraordinary evening!
One of the best experiences of our trip. TFL is absolutely worth every dollar we spent. Chef Keller has a way of preparing ever dish to perfection. It is hard to describe, but he removes the part of a dish that holds it down and elevates the rest.
Everything is great, oyster & pearl is just perfect, definitely a great restaurant that worths to visit again.
Great food. Great customer service and ambiance. Met the chef and got a tour of their beautiful kitchen. Wonderful experience from beginning to end. My opinion, worth every penny.
Perfection! Thank you for the memorable experience
Amazing! 3 Michelin stars and extremely difficult to get reservations. Reservations are prepaid.
Once in a lifetime experience! Food was beautiful and each bite was better than the last. The wait staff was world class, and made our party of four feel at home.
As you would expect, a meal at French Laundry is incredible. Each dish was flavorful but approachable and just the right amount of food to taste and enjoy but still leave room for the next delightful course! Service is impeccable. Make sure to visit the kitchen and gardens before you leave!
Amazing experience!
This was an over-the-top culinary experience. The wait staff, food and ambiance are awesome. Costly but worth the price.
Amazing! Very much a once in lifetime place. You are able to mix and match items for the menus to create your own menu.Lots of special treats and courses await, as well! Staff was amazing and great service!
It's the finest of fine dining and as long as you know what you're getting yourself into you won't be disappointed. The crowd is mostly affluent or older people wearing business or business casual attire. Dress like you're going to church or a wedding, definitely don't think you can get away with the fanciest of jeans. Expect to pay about $400-500 per person including wine pairings and the add-on's (e.g fresh truffles generously shaved over your bisque). I enjoyed my meal, but my achilles heel was filling up on the amazing bread. I struggled through the last couple courses because of this.
I very much enjoyed their dishes and service, awesome area very close to my house. The staff members are always welcoming. Will visit here again.
Had high hopes. All expectations blown out of the water! Best birthday ever. Thanks to Chef Keller and staff. I hope my last meal will be that good. But I doubt it (unless it's there).
