Probably the beat brisket I’ve had in a long time. The meat was very tender, extra fatty and salted perfectly; just amazing. Ribs were just okay but the pulled pork Mac-n-cheese was really good. Fun atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating, live music, corn-hole and lounge chairs. Good menu selection with plenty to drink solid service and good atmosphere.

This is one of the best BBQ places I've found in Reno-Tahoe. Portions are good sized and the sweet tea fried chicken and brisket were amazing. Mac n cheese wasn't stellar and they got something wrong with almost every order but our server was great and fixed everything super fast. Would definitely come back.

Good sauces and service but the food was just so so and way over priced. Fries were way over cooked. 38 bucks for a couple sandwiches w/ fries and one soda. My husband did add cheese to his sandwich for another dollar but still. I wish I would've tried the sweet tea fried chicken instead. Probably won't be back unfortunately.

Best Beef Brisket I have ever eaten. Smoke ring was visable and the bark super flavorful. Nice choices if bbq sauces that you put on your self. Great wait staff. Only negatuve is due to a football game in the TV it was very loud.

Went there with friends yesterday and it was indeed a good idea. The whole day I was craving for good meat and his place definitely fullyfied my expectations! I had the pulled pork which was one of the best I ever had (says a girl whichs granddad was a butcher)! The garlic mashed potatoe was to die for (says a German girl - home of mashed potatoe)! My brother had the rips and I couldn’t believe how soft and tender the meat was.. I mean come one LOVE! My glass of wine seemed a little too small for what I paid for but okay! Service was really nice

Most disgusting experience EVER. DO NOT LISTEN TO OTHER REVIEWS!!!! Maybe I'm the only one, but the second I sat down to eat, flies *much like Hitler's blitzkrieg* flew over my head, threatening to bomb me with their disgusting germs. I was then "greeted" by an air headed staff. My waitress really needs to learn how to comunicate with people. Not much was going on up there. After they brought out the appatizers, we found that they were COLD. They brought out the tri tip, IT WAS COLD. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! I'D RATHER DRINK TEN GALLONS OF MCDONALDS SECRET SAUCE THEN EVER EAT HERE AGAIN. SOMEBODY CALL GORDON RAMSAY!!!!

Really left this place underwhelmed. All the dishes are just lacking in execution and flavor. Pulled pork tasted like it hadn't been seasoned at all. Mac and cheese really needed to be stepped up, noodles overcooked, top not browned and flavorless. The real insult I thought was how bad the bbq sauce was. That's kind of a show stopper in my book if you're going to be a "bbq" restaurant.

We thought we forgot our wallet in Sqaw Valley. Philip, our waiter, was super great about it and helped us figure out how to pay. We found our wallet and the food was great, service was amazing. If I could rate higher, I would. Will be coming back. 12/10 would recommend

On Wednesday 12/26/2018, after skiing for the whole day since 10 am to 4 pm, we were so hungry and walked up to this BBQ restaurant, and it actually turned out great. Since everywhere was so packed and all had to wait over 2 hours, we were able to get a outdoor table within an hour, which we were pretty happy with. We ordered a 2 lbs wings as of starter, 3 plates of BBQ Ribs, Salad with Fried Chicken. Both waitress and the hostess were really nice, and really fast on sending in our order and also have plates delivered.

Rib tastes good with BBQ sauce. The variety of meat is kind of limited. The location is very convenient, which is in the center of south lake tahoe downtown.

This place was amazing. The food was superb, the service was excellent. I can't say enough good things. We had a great time, tried the ribs and tri-tip. The mac and cheese side was delicious. Portions are huge! The only thing that disappointed me was that I couldn't eat all my food. We walked from our hotel, ate some delicious food and had a few drinks (HH prices, woo) and people watched. Sat inside but there is a patio with live music and games. Gets really busy but I can see why. Will definitely be eating here again next time I find myself in South Tahoe.

Good BBQ. Main Dishes We ordered the tri-tip, BBQ chicken sandwich, and veggie burger. The BBQ chicken sandwich was amazing, one of the best we've had. The tri-tip was good and went well with the BBQ sauce. The veggie burger was also good. Sides The mashed potatoes were garlicky and great, but the mac and cheese had a little too much cumin. Less cumin and more pepper would have made the mac and cheese better. They do seem to use really good cheese and the one thing I can say is that it wasn't bland. The cole slaw was also really good, it wasn't drenched in mayo and the vegetable used to make it tasted fresh. The order was a pickup order and the staff got it ready quickly and were very friendly. I'd recommend going here if you're in South Lake Tahoe and want BBQ.

It was pretty basic but not bad. It's a little over priced for the quality. I had the fried chicken (Nashville Hot) and it wasn't spicy at all. It was nice and crispy and not overcooked like I've seen other reviews mention. But if you're looking for a low key place to eat some meat, it's not bad.

The location was convient, that is basically why we went to this restaurant. The tea was good. The best item we ordered was my daughter's meal, which was chicken tenders and fries. The chicken was moist inside and the breading was tasty. The fries were a little to salty but otherwise good. The next entry was the tri tip this was ok not great, a little dry, and the meat was not very hot. The restaurant boost having smoked meats so I thought I'd try the brisket. Where I come from brisket is served kind of thin sliced and piled high. This place serves you ONE slice and one third of mine was fat and grissel. When we asked were the the rest of the meat is she said it's only 6 ounces of meat. Well one third of mine was like I said fat and grissel. The meat was barely warm and had very little flavor I also ordered cole slaw, they put onions in their cole slaw, which I don't like, so if you don't like onions in your cole slaw don't order theirs. The best thing I had with my meal was the backed beans. And the iced tea. This all only my opinion.

From the Buffalo Cauliflower, to the chicken wings in Sweet Chili sauce and Alabama White BBQ sauce, this place gave me a little taste of the South all with the stunning scenery one expects in this beautiful setting. Fantastic little hole in the Wall restaurant. I stumbled across it because all the other places had 1-2 hour wait. We are here in the ski season in a enclosed outdoor patio area with heaters. Food was fantastic, serving sizes were great, waitress Anna was right on point. Definitely will be back. The pulled pork sandwich was overloaded with a ton of meat. The wings we got the 2 lb and the flavors we mixed it up among a couple different sauces, they were a hit. The kids size mac and cheese for $6 is more than enough and the coconut cream pie for dessert well.... We basically fought for the spoon!!!

Great post-dinner skiing. Good beer/liquor selection and large portions. The wings were very good, you can try 2 sauces per lb of wings. The Carolina sauce was my favorite by far. For dinner I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. It was good but not spicy at all, and a teeny greasy. I got the slaw with it but wish I got something else, it was very bland. Overall we left stuffed and happy.

(experience may very) Here from out of town (cody,wy). And have to say, wow. My friend and I got the house loaded Nacho's and the pull pork sando and was amazing. If you get the Nachos please have 5 or more in your party bc these are huge!!! The pulled pork was great! I personally like a little more sauce on mine, but not everyone does. Flavors were great and the service was speedy and nice. Would recommend.

Friendly staff, starting with the buffalo Cali flour was a good into. I was told the ribs were smoked for 16 hours and fall of the bone. These RIBS ARE NOT FALL OF THE BONE, the first clue was when they were served with a steak knife; however had to return the first order because it was not the dry rub I ordered, when the dry rub came out it was look warm and luckily I had a steak knife to cut through them. The friends I was with said the man n cheese was the best they ever had.

OK: Brisket FAIR - "Smoked" 1/2 chicken (flavorless) - Service (see above) - Mac 'n' cheese (boring & watery after the topping is gone) POOR: - Greens (*way* too salty…and I like salt) - Beans (better half hated them) - Coleslaw ("bizarre," "terrible") - Barbecue sauce is *literally* colored water...tasteless, runs all over the plate If you like barbecue, just...run away. Location, location, location. This is a mediocre restaurant that happens to be in a hot spot. Smoked ribs were undercooked and hard to swallow. Tritip was a small portion of undercooked meat and full of fries to fill the plate. Service was ok and didn't get a refill of water until the end. Not recommended.

The BBQ was excellent!Our party of four sampled the pulled pork,BBQ half chicken,and the trip tip. All was excellent. The sides were equally delicious....Cole slaw, BBQ beans, jallepeno corn bread, mac and cheese , and garden salad. We were even more impressed when we met the chef,a young man self taught! If you're looking for great BBQ this is the place. Full size smoker with the brisket in overnight the way it should be. Great outdoor area for families and drinks with live music. Food and service is excellent from start to finish. This is one of me and the wife's new favorite places in South Lake. Can't wait to come back!

More like an over priced dickies bbq. Service could have been better. Our server didint even bring our food out. 2 other employees did. She got one order wrong and our dishes weren't cleared til we were paying our check. It wasnt overly busy at that time so no excuses. Upon seeing the bill I realized why her service had been lacking. She was already getting a $28 gratuity service charge. Sad...yet another reason you should be able to tip based on service. We were only 2 parties of 4 and she really didnt do any of the work. I really hope they split tips. I would rather have tipped the runners and busser.

One of the better BBQ joints I've visited outside Texas. Great service, Michele was our server. We started out with the fried pickles, which were just as good as anywhere I've had them. They have a "Heavenly Happy Meal," which is a BBQ sandwhich (I chose pork), fried, and a PBR. Yea, pretty awesome. Pork was a little sweet for my fancy, but the spicy sauce was very tasty. Fair or not, I judge most BBQ places by their brisket. This place had possibly the most tender brisket I've had outside Texas. What killed me, and the reason this is not 5 stars, is they cut the brisket along the grain instead of across the grain. I suspect whoever smoked the brisket was not the person that sliced it. Still a great spot though, and I will definitely be back.

The meat was half decent, sides and starters were flavorless. Service was really mediocre: - Main dishes were served during starter. - Menus were not taken away. - Wrong side dishes were served. - They did not have two of the dishes that we wanted. - Bill was brought before we even finished the main course. - Waiter did not bother when our drinks fell over due to the wind and spilled over the whole table. Food comes in adequate serving. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very affordable. My family loves everything! The place is located adjacent to Marriott Timber Lodge Hotel. Will come back here for next year's summer visit to South lake Tahoe.

It was overpriced and bland. When you spend $36 on two sandwiches with added fries and no drinks you think it would either be a lot of food or really tasty food. It was neither. I did a to go order and waited for it at the bar. I had the Sweet Tea Friend Chicken sandwich with added fries ($3 and according to the menu were supposed to be steak fries). The server said they only had waffle fries so that's what I got. The fries were rock hard and cold. I also asked for it "Nashville Hot" like they said on the menu and I've had spicier chicken sandwiches from Jack in the Box. I didn't taste any heat. My other order was the Wagyu Beef burger. It tastes like any other burger and the meat was drowned out by too many pickled onions and pickles. If you are going to charge that much for the special Japanese beef it shouldn't be masked by everything else. I'm sure since this place is right on the main drag it's got tourist prices built in. That's understandable but at least make the food better. The meat platters looked good but not sure of the pricing.

DISAPPOINTING: bad service and Average burguer. My friend and ordered a burger each (15$+3$ for waffles fries) My dish was served in 10 minutes and my friend had to wait 30 minutes more for his burger. After 15 minutes waiting the waitress said she didn't understand that we ordered 2 burgers.. which we did. I supposed that it is her job to check the order. We didn't have any apology from her or from the manager. Rude. The burger was not so good: the dish was cold, the bun too sweet, the slice of cheese really small. French fries were almost cold. The manager ignored us when we left and said goodbye. Very disappointing. A EVITER : mauvais service, les plats nous ont été servis avec plus de 25 minutes de décalage, aucune excuse de la part de la de la serveuse ni du responsable. Burguer industriel servi froid, frites sans goût, pour plus de 30 euros pour 2 personnes.. il est possible de trouver mieux dans le coin. DECEPTION

Real southern food. We had collard greens, Brunswick stew, mac & cheese, pulled pork, brisket, and fried chicken Nashville hot. All excellent and generous portions too.

Not the nicest outdoor eating table right next to the trash, which was also carried two times pretty close alongside our table by an unmotivated employee The food came too quickly for being made fresh - supersmal portion of fries for 9!USD - incld black hairs. Pretty overprices as well - service was OK - but the food quality wise the worst so far on our 2 weeks California, Nevada trip. There is definetly a lot of potential for improving. We went afterwards across the street to the Baja Mexicana as we were still starving and got for a minimum of that price freshly prepared, good tasting food.

Kinda overpriced, left hungry...that should never happen. Nobody in the party was satisfied. Our drinks took approximately 30 min, the food another 25. The alcohol was not properly mixed. I had the "sweet tea fried chicken" sandwich and it was ok. One of our party members found a hair in their potatoes. To be fair the waiter did remove the meal off the tab after we showed him. Overall, the food was expensive the service was friendly but slow, it was not a pleasant experience.

Good food. Good service. Food came out quick. Staff was very friendly. We got the prime rib philly cheese steak and the Mac and cheese with bacon. The sand which was good, albeit a little small for the price. The Mac and cheese was very good and it was an extremely large portion. It lasted 2.5 meals for us. Definitely a must try if you are vacationing in Tahoe.
