I come here with my coworkers, almost every week. We really enjoy the food here. It's cash only, to keep the costs down, but, it's worth it! It's cafeteria style, there is a wall with the menu, and the photos of the food dishes, on the wall. I think there is over 20 or more dishes to choose from. You pick out what looks good to you, and place your order. They give you a tray, and your utensils, and you can ask for a salad, or soup, to go along with your meal. If you order the lunch menu, it comes with a salad or soup, and a drink. My favorite dishes are the chicken kabab, or the teriyaki chicken. Their steak dishes are very good too.

Sundowners Restaurant continues to be a great place to have a meal at for a reasonable price. Even though you get what you pay for it's still delicious. I especially like the pricing scale and the things the owners do to keep the cost down to a minimal for the customers.

I gave it 2 stars because the food is mediocre.There is a need to clean and paint there premises. Sometimes you get a whiff of urine in the air. Could be from the old carpet they have there. Also there are just too many choices on the menu it boggles the mind. And what is worse they only take cash no plastic cards. There ATM machine was out of order when I went there.

Have to give this nostalgic cafeteria style 4 stars for only taking cash. The food is home style American. The ambiance is not the best, probably built in the 50's or 60's and has never refurbished it, but the food is spot on and extremely affordable, just don't forget to bring cash$$$

Absolutely fantastic! I was born and raised in Berdo and Sundowners was always a popular choice for a meal out. Lots of choices, excellent quality and reasonable prices. I have never heard anyone say anything bad about Sundowners, nor have I had anything there I did not love. I highly recommend! And if you like blue cheese dressing on your salad, theirs is some of the best in the world!

I read about this restaurant on review and decided to give it a try. It is a GREAT place for anyone trying to economize. The portions are hearty, tasty and CHEAP. Go before 5 pm and double your savings with a free salad bar and drink. My kids enjoyed mac & cheese, fried chicken and grilled cheese. Adults had meatloaf and surf & turf. Everyone was satisfied for less than $30! We will definitely return!

Sundowners offers many,many items on their menu-everything from meatloaf, hamburgers,shrimp,steak,chicken and many more.They also offer comos with steak and chicken or shrimp served with fries or baked potato and cheese toast. Many lunch items include soup or salad and a drink with the price.The prices are excellent and the food is very good.You order at the counter and they call your number to pick up.While the restaurant is not much on decor, the food and prices more than make up for it.

This is a really good spot to come with a big hungry family, you can't beat the price and almost everything is good on the menu :) this is definitely a classic restaurant in the area that mostly everyone knows and has come to at least once, I love the steak and shrimp from here and the fresh salad and the soup is also really delicious. I would recommend trying this place out, it's especially nicely decorated for major holidays. Parking is sometimes a problem, seating is usually always available and staff will help if you ask.

First time going there the food is ok I had there roast beef sandwich combo with a salad, my wife had meatloaf but it was more like Salisbury steak. It's like a cafeteria setting.

Its very sad that the cooks in this resturant are wasting so many steaks ots pathetic.. My son ordered a medium rare sirloin steak plate and of course it was well done..he was like dad its okay ill just eat it. My daughter also had a sirloin steak she also ordered medium rare and guess what it was also well cooked. Now I ordered a rib eye steak dinner thats on sale for 9.99 so i jumped on the deal and guess what I love my steak medium rare. And let me tell you im a steak man but not only that I went to culinary school so I know that a beautifully cooked medium rare steak should be at 135 degrees. No more no less..and guess what it was beyond well. It was like chewing on cardboard. So yes my kids might not mind there steaks burnt but I do. So i went back to the window and asked for another steak and please cook it medium rare please. I waited for almost 25 mins and i get my plate go back to my seat and guess what just by the look of it i knew it was over cooked..I cut i to it and again it was like cardboard. Ao i went back for the 3rd steak and i said look this is sad i came here with my family and now everyone is done eating amd i yet to even taste my food because its burnt. So now we are on my third steak i said please a medium rare cooked steak should be at 135 degrees no more no less. Again it took forever so i was expecting another burnt steak. Guess what i was relieved to see it not burnt but again i am a steak man and just by looking at it i knew it was cooked blue. Which means very rare. The thing was still mooing. So i cut it from the center of the steak out i went back to the window and said look please just cook it about 2 mins each side. Please no more no less. I stood there right in fron of the windown and next thing u know 21 mins past and i knew what i was going to get and guess what IT WAS COOKED EXTRA WELL..GIVE ME A BREAK. I just took my plate went to my seat and asked for the manager. He came looked kinda upset amd im sure he knew i was upset ao i politely told him look this is the 4th steak please ive ordered a rib eye dinner and asked for it medium rare. A medium rare steak is 135 degrees and he said ill get it right out. He came back about 9 mins later with a beautifully cooked steak. I cut into it and it was awesome. But what got me was he didnt offer any kind of comp. And all 4 other of my family that had already finished there lunch were just sitting there. I was not expecting a free dinner but the least he could of done was offer the kids a desert. But nothing cone on. I will never come back to this establishment here. I would recommend everyone to go to the fontana location. The food is better and over there i know tgis would of never happened. I can only imagine where there food cost is at... Sad very sad..

This is my to go to spot for a good steak at a decent price. Great food place is always packed, the only downside is that you need cash. If you stop by with card they have an atm machine but will cost you a few dollars to use. Cant wait to come back soon.
