Really stoked to have a kind of "fast food" fish restaurant. Even though it doesn't seem like fast food. The vibe is really cool and the fish tastes fresh. There's a lot of cool eats on the menu I want to try but the lobster grilled cheese was for sure a winner. Kids eat free on Weds and I love that!

My Surf and Turf burger from Slapfish last night... 1/3 patty, piles of lobster, cheese sauce, lemon with Old Bay fries. ...not pictured, the bee that worked it's way into my ginger beer and then subsequently stung me inside my mouth. 5-stars, would do it again, even the bee part, for this burger.

Small menu = perfection of the meals prepared! We had the lobster roll French fries were crisp and well seasoned! Parking can be a d but of a problem so get your walking shoes on!

We took the granddaughters her for a night out with them. They loved it !! My wife loves the lobster roll and salad. My clam chowder was really tasty. Not fast food pricing but well worth it.

Overpriced and under seasoned. They seem to just throw raw fish in a pan, cook it, and then lay it on a bed of greens. There is no seasoning and I did not taste any spices. The highlight of my meal was my WAY overpriced coconut soda. Definitely not worth my money. I’d rather have McDonald’s. And I really don’t like McDonald’s.

All aspects the acquisition of the fish, preparation, and delivery are thought through to show that all involved are genuinely interested in giving the best experience possible in your meal. 10/10 Will be eating here again.

This gem on the corner of Broadway and PCH is amazing! Hole in the wall doesn't do it justice, but what it lacks in space it more than makes up for in quality! Don't expect a huge menu, but they do everything well. The clam chowder is beyond heavenly (though they can run out later in the day; it's made fresh daily and when it's gone, it's gone). The lobster roll is worth the price ($24 for mine in the picture), and the fish taco was HUGE. Highly recommend this amazing fish shack. Oh, the service was awesome; everyone was so nice and helpful.

I love this place but we went on a Saturday early evening of a holiday weekend and they were out of a lot of items. Then went to get soda out of the machine and most of that was out too. Not sure if it was management not preparing for a holiday weekend and probably losing money as I saw some leave as they were out of most items. Hope management gets it together as I want to see them succeed!

Food was okay, I ordered fish tacos and they came out cold, really nothing to brag about... Busy when we dined in. We were looking around for a place to sit and one of the servers mentioned there was more seating outside, the temperature was in the 30s and it was dark outside?? When ordering our server seemed rushed and was annoyed with our questions. It’s a newer restaurant in town, of course the customers are going to have questions... Staff had also arguing with each other. I don’t mind paying more for higher quality of food but I did not find the food any higher quality... Seems like they struggle with big crowds. Willing to try again when it’s not so busy.

This was a very fun experience for seafood in Albuquerque. It's kind of neat to walk in and order off the menu on the wall and sit down enjoy excellent Seafood. I highly recommend the chowder. The fish and chips are greasy but very tasty and the fish is very fresh. The restaurant has kind of a fun decor and the wait staff were very friendly and answered all my questions. The selection of sodas is an interesting thing to try also. .

So I finally got to try Slapfish and they didn't disappoint, in fact it was a great experience. My wife and I have been going to Laguna Beach for years and we pretty much stick with the same restaurants when we go. Not this time. I found slapfish via Instagram and I have been craving their Lobster fries and Lobster breakfast burrito. All I can say is AMAZING!!! The Lobster fries were huge and I could barely finish them, in fact I could only eat half the burrito. My wife had the Ultimate Fish Taco, fried and she loved it. She also had the Chowder fries and she liked those as well. So if your in Laguna Beach and want some great seafood do yourself a favor and visit Slapfish!!

The food was delicious and the view was great being right off the beach. It's a little pricey given that it's outdoor seating, but the quality of the food and the proximity to the ocean make up for it. The clam chowder comes with large bacon chunks and I highly recommend it. The fish and chips only have a single large piece of fish, so I recommend paying a little more and opting for the double if you have a healthy appetite. A lot of people have mentioned the craft soda fountain as a plus, but after trying many of the options I found them pretty unexciting. The cola in particular reminded me of bargain store cola, but maybe it just wasn't for me. I ended up mixing up an Arnold Palmer to make the most of my drink purchase.

Absolutely perfect by the beach food! Staff was great, food was flawless. The lobster taquitos were my favorite; I will be craving them until our next trip to Laguna. Chowder fries were great, our sandwiches were wonderful.

Best lobster roll I've had outside of the east coast and the "two handed fish taco" is killer. You can also enjoy beer and wine with your meal! We were wandering around Laguna Beach and ended up at Slapfish for lunch. Short version: Food was great! Even our picky kids enjoyed the food. The cashier/server was really nice (it's a small, order-at-the-counter place). I would definitely recommend going to Slapfish for a casual meal by the beach.

Had the Hawaiian bowl, grilled shrimp awesome, all ingredients fresh and so tasty with a perfect amount of dressing. Family had 2 different meals with fried fish... perfectly cooked with large chunks of tasty fish! Shrimp burrito is ginormous and so yummy! Had the Poke bowl last time I was here....oooooo, it was wonderful!!!!! I LOVE this place!!

Food is a bit hyped and the price is a bit inflated for the volume you get. The menu is practically an a la carte menu and prices add up quick. It’s good food though and might be back, but only on a Wednesday when the kids eat free. Definitely not worth paying for the kids menu...it’s not even on the same planet as the full menu.

This is the definitely the place for you if you want to cure your seafood fix for an affordable price. This place is small, there is much more outdoor seating than indoor. The food is delicious. Everyone loved their food, not a single complaint about anything. Everything was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. I will definitely recommend this place, and I will most definitely be returning!

Food was fresh and tasty. They give generous portions. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful. They checked in with us several times to make sure that we didn't need anything but they weren't intrusive. Will definitely go back there again.

Today my husband and brother in-law went to eat here. They ordered their food and waited an hour and a half for their order. The place was not full when they ordered. There were people before them complaining to the Manger about also waiting for an hour. They only ordered three items. My sister and kids all finished eating before they got the food. The only reason I gave it two stars was because my husband really enjoyed the food. They said it was really good but he will not come back.

Good food but disappointing. I think it got hyped up too much for me. They don't have all of the items on their website, eg the ceviche. The lobster roll was decent but i feel lacking still. Nice view right by the beach though. I think next time I'd try the one by the Irvine next instead. The expanded menu sounds good

I hated it. I had the poki bowl (no flavor and super bland) and the hubs had the gator bites (horrible breading and soggy fries). We both had a 12oz can of spiked snow melts (6$ each, we could have bought a 6 pack) and it came out to 48.70$. Swing and a miss.

Walked in and asked the employee some questions about the menu. They definitely were not excited to be at work as they gave short quick answers to each question. At that point I was questioning whether to eat there or find another casual local seafood spot, but my friend was up to try it. We both ordered fresh grilled fish bowls. My friend was happy with hers but mine was overly greasy and did not taste fresh at all. The fries were lukewarm, the salads were okay, and the rice was fine.. but i ended up tossing half the fish which sucked because we went for the seafood not the sides! Next time im in Laguna Beach, this place is my last option.

The staff was very attentive and their customer service was good... however after ordering 3 distinctively different plates and trying all 3 I was not impressed and somewhat disappointed. I came to know of this location from an Instagram marketing campaign and being a seafood connoisseur I figured I had to give it a try. The food was good but I was not impressed some of our dishes were blan in flavor. Sad to say that this is one of those situations that the picture looks better than how the food actually taste.

Love this restaurant. I have friends who came into town that no longer eat red meat and chicken. Knew this was the place to take them. I'm still hearing about how this was the best fish and chips they've ever had. The fresh fish is great to have in the desert. Fantastic alcohol selection. It can get a bit expensive with market price $22 lobster rolls but damn it is tasty.

Really fresh seafood at fair pricing. I tried this week for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised. Various seafood of constantly varying types flown in daily and Eric was more than happy to tell us about each of them. Multiple types of natural sodas on tap and a good local beer selection. I had the power bowl and my friend had the lobster roll and both were freaking awesome! Give it a shot and I think you will be glad you did.

Excellent food, great service!! The kids wanted fish tacos and this place is near the Main Park in Laguna Beach so we decided to try it. The location is small with no parking, so I wasn't expecting much. But I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. They have a variety of fresh fish, either grilled or fried, that you can have with fries, rice, salad or slaw. They have tables outside and the service was excellent!! Definitely good place to go with kids.

I came here for dinner and I was hangry. The service was great and I didn’t have to wait much long. They have organic healthy sodas which were really fun to taste. The coconut was my favorite! We started with the lobster taquitos - delicious. But the surf n turf and lobster grinder were fantastic. We topped it off with chowder fries and they definitely did not disappoint. The seafood was so fresh and tasty, surpassing my expectations for a New Mexican seafood experience.

I had the Mahi Mahi fish sandwich. It was pretty good. The fish was cooked very well. The rest of the sandwich could be improved a little. The fries were tasty. Unfortunately the drink fountain wasn't working, but it looked like they offer craft sodas.

If you order the fish and chips I would suggest getting the double. The regular is plain and may not be as filling. The location is small with only a few stool seats inside, the rest of the seating. From what I remember their is no parking at the place itself, you need to find parking nearby.

Wow! Delicious fish n chips. GIANT portions beware! A single fish n chip will feed 2 people for lunch. Go double at your own risk! After bringing 3 filets (we bought 2 doubles) she said she would bring the 4th filet in a minute (each filet is one fish). When she brought the 4th we were already really full, so I asked if I could say no so that we wouldn't waste it. I fully expected her to just take the filet, but instead she refunded the filet and brought me the cash to my table! Awesome service, awesome food, nice outdoor seating, very casual.

We had a big group and wanted good food without the hassle of planning and making reservations. This place was perfect. We sat outside and had great food. The whole geoup went twice that week. We had 11 people in our group. I had the lobster tequitos and the fish and chips. So good I had the same thing the 2nd time we went. A few others in our group said the claim chowder was the best they ever had. See you next August Slapfish!

This is a delightful place for seafood in Albuquerque. The menu includes shrimp and lobster rolls with various sauces, fish and chips and several options on how it is prepared. A variety of fresh fish is available for your options. They also serve salads and fish tacos as well appetizers and cold beverages including beer is available. Small location. Staff is friendly... On Wednesday kinda cool personalities about. Food was good but the grinder sucks. Better to get the real lobster roll instead. If you want a messy burger and are super hungry. Try the surf and turf. Seating is plenty outside. The other Slapfish locations are bigger and the staff is pretty friendly. I'm not wowed by the food but it wasn't an awful experience. Restroom was clean and store was well kept. Local tip- The mexican spot next door is a good alternative if your not vibing this spot.

I wanted to try this place for a while and decided to go for a bday lunch...I was not disappointed. The lobster roll was delicious and the fries were perfect. My husband got the poke bowl and wow! The only reason I gave this four stars instead of five was bc we ordered the fried pickles, which were delicious, but they were so hot we burned the roofs of our mouths pretty bad (be warned). Other than that it was worth every cent.

This was the coolest little place with outside tables that face the stunning ocean view in Laguna beach. It's tucked away, look until you find it and eat there! So let me start off by saying that I do not give a lot of five star reviews for food, I think that it has to be absolutely exceptional for a 5 star recommendation. That being said I had heard a lot of good things about slapfish and had been looking forward to trying it for quite a while. I enjoyed the menu selection I ordered a epic burrito and I shared the fish and chips with my sister. Both of these selections were presented very nicely and where full of flavor, I really enjoyed how light and non-greasy the fish and chips tasted I would definitely recommend this, the epic burrito was just okay, it was good definitely not epic. We also ordered the chowder fries as a starter they were good they taste it a little too fishy for my taste but I am pretty sensitive in that area my sister really enjoyed them. Overall, I found slapfish to be well priced with a fun menu selection and definitely worth a try.

I found this gem by accident, but boy was this place great. I live seafood, but I honestly lower my expectations when I'm getting seafood here in Albuquerque. The fish at Slapfish totally changed my mind! The fish is definitely fresh, got a Hoki fish and chips, the fish was fresh well battered and fried just enough. The lobster roll was also delicious, buttery and filling and the roll itself light and toasted. Do yourself a treat and check this place out. I had the shrimp burrito and it does come with a good amount of shrimp. The only thing I didn't like is that the amount of rice they put on the burrito is so much that it overpowers the flavor of the shrimp. I ended up opening the burrito and picking everything out from the rice.

Wow! That's all i can say about their FISH TACO. Literally one of the BEST FISH TACOS & this is coming from a foodie! Please go try one, they're $7 each but they're huge! Unfortunately I didn't like their fish/ chips platter, I've definitely had better elsewhere. I'd like to try their shrimp taco another day. They have a simple Basic everyday menu but ....they also have different daily specials which change daily.

I wish I took a picture, but I ordered a shrimp burrito that had ounces of sauce poured over each half (They were cut in half, open side straight up). I POURED the sauce out of one half and found that the interior was so heavily sauced, I couldn't even pick out the shrimp ajd eat them. Gross. I probably should have complained, the staff is usually very friendly, but I didn't want the cooks to remake anything after I turned it back in.

I went yesterday with my husband. We ordered the fried calamari, the lobster roll, and the power bowl. The good taste fine overall. There was just a lot more cabbage than I would have expected. The calamari was served in a bowl of cabbage, making it look like there was more calamari than there was. The power bowl was nearly half cabbage. The largest portion we received of anything was the cole slaw which was, you guessed it, so much cabbage. The lobster roll was a measly portion for the price and mostly bread. The highlight of the meal was the sauces and the pickles. Slapfish does condiments well, no doubt about it, but they didnt save the experience. It's an expensive cabbage festival with a side of decent seafood.

The food here is simply amazing. Even something as simple as fried pickles were next level compared to every other example I've ever had. The beer and wine selection is small, but very thoughtfully chosen to compliment your meal. We had a lobster roll, fried pickles, beer battered fish, iced tea, and a sour ale. The lobster roll, while smaller than what'd you'd get in New England for obvious reasons, was just as well done. The mayo and lemon we're perfectly balanced and applied in the right amount to highlight the lobster and not cost your mouth in fat. The beer battered fish was perfectly cooked and very crispy, all the while being moist and flakey inside. The fried pickles, of which I've attached a picture, were lightly battered and very crispy too. Well done, Slapfish, very well done. The service was fast, the employees incredibly polite and enthusiastic about being there. There aren't a lot of places to sit, but it's cozy and not cramped. Probably not great for large groups. It's clean and modern inside. Overall, I really wish I could give them a sixth star.

My wife and I have been going to Laguna Beach for years and we pretty much stick with the same restaurants when we go. Not this time. I found slapfish via Instagram and I have been craving their Lobster fries and Lobster breakfast burrito. All I can say is AMAZING!!! The Lobster fries were huge and I could barely finish them, in fact I could only eat half the burrito. My wife had the Ultimate Fish Taco, fried and she loved it. She also had the Chowder fries and she liked those as well. So if your in Laguna Beach and want some great seafood do yourself a favor and visit Slapfish!!
