Quality has gone down. Haven't been here for quite a while. Went today to have one of my favorites, the mushroom burger. But was totally disappointed. I ordered the burger medium-rare, but it came done well. When I ordered I asked for medium-rare and the girl taking the order said medium-well. I told her no medium-rare, she said ok and tried to fix the order on the register. But apparently, it wasn't. Instead of a juicy burger like I'm used to getting there, it was totally dry like a desert. The only reason I'm giving two stars is the onion rings were very good. It's surprising this happened while the place was empty. Next time I'm going to Super Duper instead.

Excellent customer service. I placed my order online and it was ready right on time. How I wish they were able to deliver to me as well. It is such a compact size place that is good for both individual and group to dine relax - temporarily. The main entrance to the restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Quite visible and easily accessible as it is located along a major and very popular street.

Menu together with fries and a drink around 16$ - totally worth it and I’d recommend this anyone looking for a great burger experience. The place is small though and depending on the time you go there it’s most likely going to be crowded.

Every time I visit San Francisco I make a point of coming here. The main reason for that is the incredibly delicious milkshakes. My personal favourite is the peanut butter and chocolate, which I have a hard time finding elsewhere. The burgers are pretty good too and the fries were amazing. The staff was very friendly as well. You definitely need to visit this place if you're in SF and you like milkshakes and burgers!

When we found ourselves in the City for a play at the SF Playhouse, I wanted something more budget friendly so thought burgers at Pearl's would be right up our alley. However, after 2 burgers and a onion ring/fries combo plus banana shake to share, we were out almost $50 and that wasn't even an upgrade to the kobe or buffalo. We did get the California Dreamin Burger Special burger of the week and the Phat Bob that comes with onion rings in the burger itself, both tasty and did not leave us hungry. However the medium well which I assumed would be served pink was well done so less juicy than expected.

Outrageously good burger, and I know burgers. I ordered the standard “Pearl’s Deluxe” with nothing but lettuce and tomato. Meat was perfectly prepared (medium rare), with fresh toppings and delicious bun that didn’t get too soggy with all the juices flowing out of that burger. To top it off, had a great conversation with the owner, who’s gregarious and a really nice person to talk to. If you are looking for a burger in a city better known for Asian fusion and other trendy dishes, you could do no better than Pearl’s Deluxe Burgers. It’s that good.

Not what it used to be. Something is different. I came here yesterday and had an utterly disappointing, tasteless, and over-priced burger. I hope to see a turnaround, but for now, I won't be back. Correct your online menu, and please be transparent about whether you've had a change of management. Also, your employees need to focus. My transaction was at a standstill until I looked over and saw the cashier on his phone while my receipt was ready to pull. My burger was cooked inconsistently. My friend's milkshake was forgotten.

Had the weekly special California burger (check the paper on the register for the special) and ohhhhh it was goooood! Unlike lots of places, I think an entire avocado was on the burger, and yeah, it's made Fresh, the default medium cook was spot on, and dammmmnnnn it was delicious. Girlfriend had the Bula burger, we switched halfway, the bacon is done nice and crispy and the pineapple bbq is good, sweet, not too tangy (vinegary) so fit great with the onions and bacon. the side order of sweet potatoes and onion rings was a bit small but they were cooked to perfection and I'm glad the onion rings were ONION rings not rings of bread with some onion in there. The whole meal was excellent and great fuel for a day around the town. Definitely a treat I'll be sharing with guests and friends.

I used to live across the street in 2009 and came by at least once a week. I have since moved and traveled a lot, but to this date this is the place I tell people about when I talk about the best burger I've ever had. Great burger, great fries. I have returned in 2011 and 2014 and the food was still as good as ever. Plus the staff still recognized me after years of absence, super friendly!

Opt for the smaller size at this place. Milk shake options galor! They also offer options to combine an order of fries with sweet potato fries or their super good onion rings. Those are called Sp-Rings. And I am not kidding about the Burger size. The smaller sz is enough for both my partner and I.

It can get really crowded, but thankfully tables tend to open up rather quickly. I love that there's outdoor seating. It's nice to sit outside on a beautiful day. The burgers are good. I'm guilty of always taking forever to decide what to get, and the staff is ever so patient. Depending on the day of the week or time of day, I feels like a daycare with soooooo many toddlers around.

One of best burger in San Francisco? In California? Of the whole west coast? I don't know, but really one of the best burgers, fries and onion rings I've ever tried. We went there two times in our vacation and tried the Pearl's deluxe burger with cheese and bacon an the burger of the week California dreaming with avocado cheese and bacon on a sourdough. Both were so delicious I can't describe. The fries and onion rings are really delicious too. Get there and try! It's a little pricey but totally worth.

Terrible experience with Pearl's Deluxe Burgers on Post Street tonight!!! My husband and I ordered in person for take-out (with only one other person ahead of us). Well, they seemed to have forgotten about us because several people who ordered after us had their orders delivered to them shortly. Only then, one of the two guys who worked there asked us our order again, so we probably waited a little over 30 minutes in total which should not have been that long to begin with. Once they gave us our shakes and food bag, we double-checked before leaving that everything we ordered (two mini bacon cheeseburgers and an order of garlic fries) was all there and they were. After settling in back home with our meals, I took a few bites of my burger and noticed that my bacon strips seemed to be under cooked. I peeled back the top bun and noticed a faded yellow thing that didn't quite resemble cheddar cheese. Low and behold, it was a piece of a bread-tie!!! It was tiny and with sharp edges!!! Unacceptable!!!

My husband and I agree that Pearl's has the best burgers that we've ever tasted. If you're a fan of bbq burgers, I recommend the Phat Bob..... It was absolutely delicious. When I used to live in bay area, I went up to SF just to eat Pearl's Deluxe by myself taking Caltrain, and whenever I visit SF these days for a business trip, this is my must-go place. Whatever you get, any kinds of burgers, french fries, onion rings, sweet potato fries, you'll fully satisfied with them. To be honest, I wish not many people know about the place and want to keep it as a secret favorite burger house only for me, but now it became too much popular XD. Quite long time ago, they only accepted cash(that's why there's an ATM in the restaurant), but you can now use your credit/debit card as well! Enjoy!!

It's one of the best burgers in the bay, not only for quality, but size, value, and deliciousness. Fries are crunchy and seasoned, as is everything else is on the menu. I always opt for the Pearl's Deluxe with bacon and Swiss cheese, wife usually grabs the Veggie burger which is actually pretty good too. Can't go wrong in this local SF burger spot!

Walking distance from my hotel on a scorching 96degree day, I took a slow walk to Pearl's. Upon entering, there's a cooler of drinks on the left, next to an ATM. A chalk board menu rests on the wall, with a small bulletin board displaying their many accolades, next to it. All of the tables and the little counter seating area by the window were full. I was delightfully greeted at the register and asked to place my order(excellent customer service). I ordered a mini deluxe (1/4 burger, lettuce tomato and red onions) with bacon and cheese ($6.99). I then ordered some frings (1/2 French fries, 1/2 onion rings) I asked for the garlic fries and was not charged extra. They have these mixtures with sweet potato fries as well. The onion rings had to be the best that I have ever had in my life! Perfect crunch, perfectly seasoned batter and not skimpy on the portions either. The onions were not too crispy on the inside and perfectly cooked. Honestly, my favorite part of the meal. My burger was good. It tasted fresh and was cooked to a perfect medium, just like I requested.
