ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I read many reviews thinking this would be a great spot to try while spending the day in Pittsburgh. I was so wrong! I paid around 42 dollars for two adult buffet meals. I wouldn't have cared to pay that much if the food was actually worth it but it just wasn't. ALL of their chicken dishes tasted disgustingly sour/old. Their seafood was terrible. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt when we moved on to the fried & baked bar. I realized we had to wrap it up and leave when my boyfriend bit into a freshly fried spring roll and it tasted & smelled like old feet. The sushi station had flies all around it and the items looked old so we didn't bother. The chocolate fountain was cool.

Management was kinda awkward.. asked me for my name when he sat us but didn't ask anyone else in my party..not really a big deal, just left us with a weird vibe. My biggest complaint is that there were signs everywhere saying the food was fresh, but my friend got food poisoning and was sick all night. Granted it's a buffet, so I understand that some food sits out for a while. But some food items looked like they'd been sitting there all day long without ever being replaced with a new batch.

I love this buffet. If you wanna fill up on tasty sushi, seafood, and more, this place is a no-brainer. Dinner is 18.99 which I think to be a bit pricey, but a nice lunch date for two with hot tea will only cost you $25. Don't fill up your plate and not eat what's on it because they could charge you an extra fee for wasting food. Never had it happen to me, but if you're unaware, now you know.

This place used to be premium quality seafood, but more recently it is more run down on the outside, the rice for the sushi is too dry/grainy, the Mongolian BBQ is too saucy and the cheese wontons taste old. They still have unlimited crab legs for dinner and it's worth it for that by itself.

This place has so much good food. The first thing I went for was a plate of crab legs. Then the coconut shrimp. They have a lot of good sushi and sashimi options, and they don't skimp on the fish. I gave it 4 and not 5 stars because the venue itself is not exciting and the bathrooms kind of suck.

Unfortunately the whole place has no respect to people come from same country that speak same language. Keep watching us when we were signing the receipt, using Chinese to remind us giving tips. Pretty sure we were food poisoned, seafood are not fresh. Did complain to the manager, told us it’s okay to never come again.

Good sushi. I drowned myself in wasabi. Next time I'll remember that the habachi grill selection I am supposed to ask the cook to fry it, I didn't know until after I put it on my plate. The fruit and salad section is actually a bunch of seafood coleslaw so I got ice cream for desert instead.

This place is actually pretty good for all you can eat buffet. I usually don't do all you can eat buffets cuz either the food too greasy, too much sodium or no taste. But this place for the price is a deal! + They have a variety of food to chose from. From Mongolian BBQ, Japanese tepanyaki, American style Chinese food, pretty decent sushi, salad bar and desert. I'd come back here for sure... Have fun!

I go here about once a week. Best Chinese buffet in the area. Very clean and great food with large selections. Also has sushi, and a grill cook that will cook food such as meat and vegetables. Bathroom is very clean. Probably the best buffet in the area. A little pricey, but the food, and cleanliness make up for it. Plenty of parking and high top booths make it feel private.

I liked the restaurant. Typical Chinese Japanese style buffet restaurant. Clean and cozy. But I think the branch in Glendale is better than the Long Beach. has all the favourite items that is common in these types of restaurants. I enjoyed having the different types of susi and poke to offer. Their main course like orange chicken, beef and broccoli, coconut shrimp, chowmean, spicy fish, baked salmon etc are all my favorite. My daughter loves the murshmello and chocolate fountain. There are a lot of variety of fresh fruit, baked dessert and ice cream. Also occasionally they have crab in menu. For the price you pay for all the food that is offered is very reasonable. I enjoyed the meat section of the restaurant as well. There was choice of good pork sausage, beef roast and pork roast which tasted very yummy. Also I liked the baked shrimp with cheese - this was something new that I had tried. There were some cheese and pork wantons and they were really delicious. I think the variety of sushi in this restaurant was amazing, almost 10-15 different types in offer including fried sushi.they have a very good bar on site and you can order beer, sake and cocktails from the bar. I had tried the margarita and that was also good. Overall the place was clean and the waiters were prompt to attend you and clear up the plates form the table. Only thing I missed here is the large shrimp prepared with salt and garlic that is very common in these types of restaurants

I was pleasantly surprised by Hokkaido! I typically get nervous about eating at buffets, especially seafood! Everything at Hokkaido was fresh and actually had flavor! None of the shellfish made my stomach uneasy and the staff seemed fairly pleasant. The decor was nice and everything was clean. All in all it was a good experience and we will definitely visit again!

I’ve been visiting this Hokkaido for about 2 years. It provides various kinds of tasty Asian food, including sushi and some dim sum. While the weekday price is reasonable. The dinner service was ok. There isn't anything outstanding about this buffet. The crab legs were tiny and they didn't offer crackers. The sushi was above average for a buffet, fresh, with plenty of variety. The steamed edamame was brown. The hibachi was middle of the road. The carving doordash was 1 star. Over cooked, gristle-y beef and sausage. They did offer fried and braised chicken feet, though. I would be unlikely to recommend this place to friend.

My husband and myself went to eat it was just opening it was about 11:15 am everything was cold general tso rice, noodles, fried chicken COLD. I made one plate one bite of the chicken COLD one scoop of rice COLD one scoop of noodles COLD. I calls the owner over and told him the food was cold he look over and said no its not the steam is coming out. So I got up and said I'm leaving I don't want cold food. He looked at our plates and said give me a little bit of money you can take it home and heat it up.... He has lost his mind we left and the time was 11:27 and he want me to pay for cold food

Pretty solid as Asian buffets go. Only thing that is annoying is their crab leg policy. They will literally stare at you until you get your portion, and then rip your crab leg plate away from you as soon as you're finished.

This was a very interesting restaurant with a lot of unique food. I was a little disappointed in the selection though. For being a seafood buffet, I was expecting a larger selection of seafood. There was a good selection of foods other than seafood. The sushi was good, and there was a wide selection of food for the hibachi. I went a few hours before closing which is why I will not truly rate the quality of the food. Most buffets do not circulate food often when it is late. I was also surprised that there are other location, most of which are all in California. With being that there are a few locations, I was surprised by the "we will charge you extra for excess waste" posting at each of the tables.(See Pictures) It does state this is in an attempt to keep prices low, but I was a little surprised at the dinner cost. The staff was nice and the inside is well kept with enough seating for plenty of large groups or parties.

Weekend dinner price is $18.99. Soda/coffee is an additional $1.99. Lots of parking in their private lot. The dishes can be quite oily and the main dining area feels a bit dark in my opinion.

Always consistently good food here. I never go any further than the sushi bar. The sushi and sashimi are made fresh right in front of you, it is very good quality. The hot bar items are constantly monitored and changed out to make sure you're getting fresh hot food. Lunch crowd is light on weekdays. Dinner crowd is heavy, especially Friday and Saturday. Very popular, reasonably price dependable restaurant.

B E S T S E A F O O D Big selection of sushi they even have stuff like fries and chicken tendies lots of food from asia dough balls, dumplings, seaweeed salad, lo mein, and more. Waiters might be a bit of hassle because as far as ive seen, they all mainly speak chinese but all they really do is give drinks and take plates. Im gonna say this the honey chicken and coconut shrimp are godsent.(prob not) they have deserts including a chocolate fountain and icecream with various cakes (coffee cake is the best). There is lots more like stuffed mushrooms and fried lobster and crab, but on the way out grab either a mint or papaya candy (depends what that little wood thing is filled with) and probably get a stomache ache from all the good food you ate

Who doesn't love buffets? The food is really quite delicious, and that is surprising for a buffet. There is such a wide variety of food available and you can't go wrong with any of it. Expensive as hell at 18.99 you're not really that much on the buffet. Sign of the crab leg says 7 crab legs with your dinner any more than that you'll be charged extra. Half of them were empty of crab meat. We're from Florida and in Florida for 13.99 you get all the crab legs you want and a buffet 10 times as big as that one. I guess everybody thinks that's cheap in Pittsburg you can have it. The atmosphere is a bunch of Chinese waitresses standing over you like they're looking at what you're eating. Making sure you don't get any more than 7 crab legs.

The older "owner", I assume he is, was so insanely rude when we walked in. There were other customers in line ahead of us so we stood behind and waited. This man hurried us to the counter and started speaking broken English so fast you could hardly understand. He was like... "you pay now!" and then started saying "tell me now what u drink!" didn't even give us a menu of drinks or tell us the products they had. I asked for water and the my boyfriend asked what type of soda they had. The man then said "I despise soda"! Haha.... It was crazy! Good food though, although we almost just walked out!

Ah.... NO ! Unfortunately, rude unhappy people work at this place. Especially the management. Getting a beverage is difficult because they don't have enough staff to serve the customers. Getting refills on your drinks takes forever, too. Not the staff's fault, just poor management. The quality of their food is mediocre, at best. Lots of empty dishes that never seem to get filled. Mislabeled dishes make deciding what to eat a bit difficult when you aren't familiar with what you are looking for. They need to hire a cleaning crew and shampoo the carpet. It's just dirty. That's probably why it's intentionally dark in there - even during the day. Makes you wonder how clean it is where they prepare the food. Didn't see any roaches, like a previous reviewer wrote, but did see other bugs in the restaurant. Management doesn't like to be advised of these things and becomes rude and defensive. I merely pointed out a few things, so they would be able to correct the situation. But, I instead of listening, and thanking me for trying to help them improve business, I was met with and aggression and rudeness. Don't they know that this type of attitude and behavior towards your customers drives away business, or don't they realize that ? Again, poor management ! I'm not going back anymore. Very disturbing and disappointing to say the least.

For what you get on food, the prices are great. One of the best Mongolian BBQ for ayce buffets. Other stuff is good as well. Only things not up to par is that the place is ran down, dark and doesn't look clean. The staff is typical of ayce buffets. All I ever hear people say about this place is how good everything USE to be. This is just one of many cheap Chinese buffets with easy profits in mind. All food on the trays look old and are lukewarm. You can have a much better meal just about anywhere. Places like this put minimal effort into their food. It's just a pig trough for humans, focus on quantity and the bare minimum on quality. My phone battery was dead at the time so I was unable to take pictures. There won't be a next time so you'll have to take my word for it.

Sorry to say this place has been declining. I really liked it a year ago, but both the food quality and service have been declining steadily. While you might think service doesn't matter at a buffet, do you really want to eat next to a pile of dirty dishes and wait a half hour to get your check? And seafood and sushi are one food group where you don't want someone cutting corners on. Some of the nicer things on the buffet such as crayfish are no longer offered. When quality and variety drops, there's not much point in eating here.

Horrible.. they advertise lobster and seafood. It looked good walking in so we decided to give it a go. Well the lobster was cut up in pieces which I understand why. After breaking open a few I noticed there wasnt much meat and some meat that was there was brownish and appeared old. I stopped eating it after also realizing it had a weird after taste. I got another plate with some black pepper shrimp. 2 bites in I realize this also has the soapy,bleach,something taste. We brought this to their attention but the man was extremely lacking in any customer service and would not resolve the issue or take any responsibility for his food quality

This place has went downhill! I used to love this place and traveled 2 hours just to go there because of the all you can eat crab legs. They now have a restriction that you can only have 7 legs! They hardly had any in the tray on the buffet and they were all small. It was very disappointing. My drink also had black stuff crusted to the inside of the glass and it tasted like toilet water. I will not be returning and will be telling my friends to not bother wasting their time to go there.

What a wonderful, intriguing place in the entrance of Homestead of all places to be. Dinner here on a Friday night is more expensive than a lap dance at Cricket. I am pleasantly surprised by the decor, but disappointed by the selection. It doesn't seem like a real popular place for the kids to be at on a Friday night. I wish it was, then maybe it wouldn't be so dismal. Half the restaurant is currently closed off and empty. I'm not sure if I will return, but I am hopeful that they can recover. Where's the fish selection? Why do you have pizza? No utensils to crack open the lobster... and an abhorrent amount of money if you waste food? This is the only location anywhere east of California. C'mon, we can do better loves!

Unfortunately 0 stars isn't an option. Old food and no crab legs, which I thought was the whole point of this place. We came here a few months ago and it was delicious. Definitely worth the $19 per person back then. We came on a Monday and that was our first mistake. The food was dry and had obviously been sitting out for hours. I'm extremely concerned that I may get food poisoning. I wouldn't have fed what I put in my mouth (and then spat out in a napkin) to my dog. We'll never be back.

Sorry to say this was one of the great buffets. Specially due to their crab legs. However, on my recent trip it looks like they placed a 7 piece crab legs limit per person for the entire meal. There’s not much reason to go here now. The Mongolian grill is good. Their other food items are decent. I like their clams. Sushi is average but edible. At the end of the day, the crab legs was what made this place. Without it, it’s pretty average experience.

I would avoid coming here if you’re looking to get your fill. After having 2 dishes, I was already feeling thirsty. They put up a big sign that said no MSG or artificial food coloring but judging by how much water I drank, there’s definitely MSG. Go to the sushi section and look at the green tobiko, there’s definitely food coloring. If you’re an avid crab eater, you will be disappointed. The crab legs were boiled for too long, making it difficult for you to get the meat in one piece after carefully snapping it. We ended up having to use chopsticks multiple times to get the meat out. The sushi was decent, better than other Chinese buffet. Interior’s atmosphere was very disorganized you had classy music playing with yellow stained walls in the dining room whereas the sushi section was decorated with Japanese decor. There is no “flow” to the atmosphere. Customer service was very good, especially for a buffet place. But overall, this location used strategies to get you to eat less, especially the crab, and so I would not recommend it.

While in the past we have had wonderful food and service, this last visit was not as good. Some of the buffet items were cold. We were celebrating my birthday and when my mom brought gifts in she was questioned about what she was doing. When the bill came the waitress hovered until we paid and then still hovered until we left. I felt so rushed. It will be a long while before we go back.

It used be great, now it's meh. They still advertise the crab legs but they limit you to 7 pieces and break them up so a "piece" is barely anything AND the crab legs have a funky taste, as if they were cooked in dishwater. Have been there a few times now. Last time we agreed "this will be the last time". Sure enough, 6 months later we had forgotten how bad it was and figured we can have an edible dinner, don't have to cook and everyone will be able to choose something. Wrong. Sushi is warm. (God knows what they use for cream cheese). Anything Chinese food is over cooked and has no flavor. Nothing has food flavor- even the fruits. My orange slices were cold (wished the sushi was that cold! I liked it!) but completely dry and without any flavor. The cheesecake and mousse were warm and kind of emulsion-y tasting. don't even dream about drinks getting refilled. After another $100 spent we all confirmed it is officially the last time.

One of my favorite restaurants and one I recommend regularly to my rideshare passengers for their sushi. Hokkaido is an all you can eat seafood restaurant with Korean, Chinese, and Japanese sections. If you want sushi, this is the place!! The sushi is consistently excellent and offers a variety of specialty rolls, as well as sashimi, and seaweed salad. There is a nice dessert section as well. Lunch is only $10 and is offered till 3pm (highly recommended), Dinner is $18 and includes Alaskan snow crab legs.

We have been coming here since they have opened, always enjoyed coming here, but today will be the last time. 1st of all, walking in, we were informed that there is now a 7 crab leg per person limit. Well not only are the crab legs now small, they were cold, and the meat looked old. The quality of other foods lacked also and serving temps were not being adhered to. They had raw shucked oysters sitting in ice, that was melting, I love raw oysters, but I haven't any idea when they were shucked, and how long they were sitting there. Sorry, I could go on and on, let's just say we won't return.

Got plate of food as I was there waiting for a client I took to doctors appointment from ohio. The owner (old man) comes over, points to sign on table, and says are you going to eat that... The sign on the table says they add $8 charge to your order if you waste food... I said, well surely if it's nasty I'm not gonna eat it or pay extra for food wasted because it's nasty.. So I guess your cooks better know how to cook. Also had to keep asking for a refill of the correct drink. After one plate the bill came.. Yeah I'm not ready to go yet. Set and ate as I watched a movie(with headphones on as to not disturb anyone around me) He comes over what you watching, Boys in the hood? Laughs.. I said no How to get away with murder. I received call from client they were ready. Went to the bathroom... Come out to him and 2 servers looking for me, and him saying oh.. And tipping away like I had left.. Horrible experience.. We, couple went to Hokkaido, Long Beach for the lunch special, much lower priced than dinner. When I got my credit card bill, the charge was much higher dinner price. after I got the credit card bill. I called the manager and he said it was clocked at 6.35pm. The clock stamping was definitely error. We went in around at 2pm in bright daylight time. Hokkaido refused to refund the price difference BECAUSE I signed the credit card receipt without carefully reading the time indicated on the receipt. Who reads that kind of detail before his signature? Hokkaido must have made extra money on that day from some customers on that day due to clocking error of the machine. THAT IS A PRICE DECEPTION !

Just recently I didn’t even get a GREETING and went I went to ask for a fill on water to the closest server the lady got mad that I even asked! Really great buffet and options. Nice atmosphere, nice staff. You can carry out. Dinner is expensive but lunch is not! Now there's a tip for ya ;)

I went when it wasn't so busy which was nice but the staff were a bit standoffish but I'm not a regular there and it wasnt my first time and the food is usually good and I like that there's a large variety to choose from. It's a nice place and I hope it stays that way.

Been going here for years, but today was the last time we'll go again. It's not a relaxing environment, it's actually really nerve wracking. I feel like I'm rushed by the servers, and have had words with the owners before about how they wait for their tips at the table. Ultimately it isn't a pleasant dining experience and I'm done giving them another chance to redeem themselves.
