Connor Walker

I would give this 5 but some of my Indian friends tell me this is good but not the best in the Bay

Sridhar Prathikanti

World class. Great owners, take careful customer notes and you might even see your variation officially on the menu. Different vegetarian kitchen /utensils /fryer from non veg. Great presentation. High prices mean high quality food and superb presentation that is tasty. If you are looking for a classy authentic Indian restaurant to bring guests, family and business parties in a dignified setting, this is it.

Rachel Inman

Super yummy, friendly staff, and great place to go before a movie across the street.

Alex France

Great atmosphere but disappointing food. Not enough vegan options. Vegan naan would be great.

Catchlight by Saurabh

Food is satisfactory, ambience is sophisticated A little expensive for a normal visit, can go for a special Indian date or if you are in a mood to eat at a fancy place this place makes for it Dosa is dosa - expensive only because of the location and the ambience. But not disappointing . Overall 4/5

Nilesh Dharmadhikari

Slow service, delayed food, total confusion where the staff clears empty plates before the food is served!, too sour uttapam and dosa, very expensive for the taste. To their credit, complementary dessert was offered for the delay in food.

Michael Scholl

Aren't they all just as cute as whatever to think it's cute especially the one I'm the middle. Woo hoo.

Siva Datla

Sambar tastes authentic and excellent. Customer service can be better. Prices are bit higher but ok to go.

Raymond Robles

DOSA is one of, if not the best, restaurant in San Francisco. Food: Bold flavors, texture heaven, spice stories, silk road exoticism with California freshness. The small bites, desserts, and cocktails are equally memorable. Service & hospitality: Top notch and seamless It's also family owned and a truly lovely space. It's a Monday night place, a weekend treat, and a special occasion affair. I couldnt ask for more! BE HERE

S. K. Arora

Nice place for Indian food delicacies. Besides the south Indian dishes they serve north Indian dishes as well. Food is really good and ambience is cool. This is a very popular joint.

Kalyan Kumar Kisku

Fantastic food , excellent service.

Z or M. L or R.

Best for drinks! Must try them as other places just have mango lassi That is the only reason I would recommend this place. If I could only choose one. There's several. Great company

Hannah Moring

Very good but it was hard for everyone in our party to find something to eat. Much of their menu is fairly spicy (as is typical of a lot of Indian food). This was delightful for me but not for everyone.

Murali Sriram

Must visit Indian restaurant when in town. Service is quick and snappy

sudarshan dange

It's a good place for trying South Indian delicious food. We tried Pani poori and vada Pao sliders! Vada pav sliders were bit spicy (more than required) but tasty! Pani poori was bit extra sour. Chicken thali was really good and it was a lot of food. Lemon & plain rice with 2 chicken dishes. The curry was authentic & dry chicken was great as well. We ordered rassam which never showed up :(... Rava masala dosa was worth trying with the chutney but the subji inside was bit bland. The ending thought - it's expensive & has great ambiance but food is not worth the price.

saurabh gagpalliwar

Have been a frequent visitor, love the fusion dosas here and I never miss the vada pav sliders

G Rajesh

Awesome dosa and idli...the best one away from home...great ambience

Bhanusri Sridharan

Went there after I heard many people mentioning about it. The ambiance and setting is very good. I really liked their moon uthappams. But the authenticity of the dosas as such was meh

Tanner Williams

Great place to relax, people watch, eat good food or all the above. Prices are appropriate. Atmosphere is like a restaurant in Fort Worth I loved.

Kunal Shah

A little better than mediocre. Like many establishments that pride themselves on "fancy elevations" on classic dishes DOSA seems more concerned with style rather than substance, as somewhat indicated by their landing photo: A manicured photo of the founders, not of the actual food- it's really a prefect place to showcase a nice photo of an actual dosa. I had a pretty high expectation for this place, and it's not like their prices are really high, it just felt not worth it. I understand that the dinning experience is in some part the "experience" part and not only the "dinning" part, but the main goal of a restaurant that seems to pride itself on the product should be the actual food everything else is just posturing. At the end of it the dosa's are fine, perhaps little better than average, I wasn't particularly blown away and neither was the person I was with. Chutney: Mint: Very bright, almost too lemony, a clear departure from the norm in a fun-that-one-time way, but not something i'd really seek out Tamarind: great, not too sweet, really tangy, There were two others, but not as memorable, one was very astringent and peppery. Vada Pav: Was probably the best thing I ate, they used brioche which paired nicely with the more heavy gunpowder (milagai podi) and potato, the onions were hardly caramelized, but that wasn't as big of a deal. Paper Dosa: Pretty crispy, as one would expect, but you don't get classic dosa taste, it's a little too subtle, thought i do concede that it may be more prominent in the standard dosa option, it was big so there's that. The aloo (potato) filling was pretty basic, this is honestly was where i though they were going to to something different, but it was pretty standard nothing exciting. The sambar was also pretty standard or if anything a little watered down, better than a packet. When i visited India i drank sambar like is was water, but maybe that's an unfair comparison. I'm happy to see dosa get some cool augmentations and next time i would try the more extravagant departures (looking at you paneer and butternut squash).

Terrible service, after repeating my order to waiter they still got it wrong and I had to wait for new one, very overpriced food that wasnt very satiafying. Only redeeming qualities are it's late hours and proximity to movie theater.

Rae Ann Gustafson

Besides being a beautiful space, the food was delicious x 10! Had the 5 uppati. The albarina was good, all delivered by great service! I want to go again and again

michael antoun

Fun, modern atmosphere with excellent food and service!

Sampat Kedarisetty

Best meal I have had in the US!! The food was amazing and so was the service. We ordered the idli and vada sambar and fried idlis for appetizers. The food was hot, quick and delicious. THE SAMBHAR IS A MUST HAVE!! It was as good as my mother's. We had masala dosas for dinner and again, perfection. The chutneys they serve with the dishes go very well and are a great pairing. The service was timely, professional and courteous. Great place to eat. Definitely coming back.

David Ferry

Delicious Indian food. Cozy ambiance. Small space. $$$

Mahendra R

The best desi food...hands down.

Monika Garg

I found it ok ok...Madras cafe is better than this..

Yining Chen

Had high expectations but the flavor was underwhelming. Sambar was too salty and rava dosa was greasy. The uttapam sampler was great.

himanshu ahuja

Awesome interiors. A lil expensive

Krishna Narasimhan

Really enjoyed this restaurant. Strong drinks. Very good Indian food, generally spice levels on the higher side. Fried idlis were a great with the drinks. We ordered a variety of dishes and they were all uniformly good. Large space with ample seating, a communal table and a bar area. Has a small upstairs seating area as well. Good location on Fillmore as well. Overall strongly recommended.

Reggie Bryant

DOSA is a cool Indian restaurant on the border of Japantown with tons of seating. The menu is authentic and interesting, and the teas are delicious too! Minus one star for being really loud, a bit hard to hear if you're on an intimate date. Maybe I just picked a busy day! For lovers of Indian food, this would make a great spot for a nicer night out.

hari Vamc

Indian restaurant with 10/10 for presentation. 2/10 authentic taste. Great cocktails.

jithen y

High class restaurant with good food and great service. Tried 2-3 types of dosas. The dosas themselves were not awesome, they were good. Loved the sambar and just finished the left over sambar.

Sreesha Nagaraj

Best dosa in Bay Area! When u pay a premium price for the quality and experience you expect not to sit right next to pantry where the waiters keep making frequent trips. It’s common sense.. I don’t have to ask you guys to get me different seats even when it’s clearly available.. this has happened to me twice and both the times I’d to explicitly ask for different seats. I’d suggest the management to get rid of those seats as they make customers uncomfortable and not enjoy the food and ambiance well.

Harish Chilamkurthi

It would be better if ingredients are mentioned in the menu along with the items instead of what they are served with

Gib Sims

The food is good at DOSA, but you are paying higher prices for an experience. Mine was probably one of my worst experiences at an SF restaurant tonight. And that's big for a person who has lived here 23 years. DOSA had an issue with their air conditioning system that caused the roof tiles to leak water on the table and down the back of one of our guests. The restaurant apologized, asked us to wait in the lobby and finally found a new table. The service was great, until we moved to the new table and then we couldn't get the attention of servers. The restaurant offered nothing complimentary to compensate us for our inconvenience (for example, remove a dish or bottle of wine from the check). I asked the manager and he said they would usually give us a free dessert. I explained that was not offered, we didn't eat sweets and had a sufficient amount. The manager said he would ask what they could do, but never returned to our table. The food is beautiful and tastes good, but the bad service (for which we were billed 20%) and lack of trying to make up for their equipment or building failure make me give the restaurant 1 star. DOSA wasn't a good host tonight.

Beth Flowers

Amazing food and service!!! I really enjoyed the idea of little bit from everything! They make you feel so special like your the only customer dinning .Will definitely come back.

flash gordon md

Elegant surroundings, very attentive service and good food. Pricey, but you're paying for the whole shebang: not just the food itself.

praveen sharma

Bit expensive but good taste for fusion indian food

Rajesh Parekh

Named after the popular South Indian delicacy ‘dosa’, this is a popular eatery in San Francisco. The food is good. The ‘Channa Bhatura’ is quite unique in its presentation. The restaurant is quite pricey. All in all, a good experience but not extraordinary. Advanced reservations are a good idea especially on weekend evenings. I was concerned about parking but found the public parking garage at the intersection of Post and Fillmore.

Behrang

Yummy dishes with lots of flavor. Excellent service. Highly recommend!

Janenal Carlso

I will not be back, the food is good but not worth going back for. One other side note: one of our dinner mates ordered the chicken tandoori and it looked so dry like it had been left out for a while. He said it was the worst he's had.

J Sh

Awsome experience again. Great food, drinks and great servers. The samabar was little too salty this time. Secondly, I have wondered why they have only one kind of lassi. Also, the mango lassi has cardamom. Mango and yogurt taste better with a hint of saffron not with cardamom, in a drink form. Cardamom can be used to garnish when in a thicker paste like texture of shrikhand. Serving only fried papdam soaked in oil, in SF high end restaurant doesn’t seem too good idea. Offer roasted papadam with mint chutney and the health conscious crowd of SF will appreciate more.

Liam Flahive

DOSA is a unique place in San Francisco. The restaurant itself is huge, a rare find in this typically cramped city. The food is delicious with a high end take on traditional Indian food. Don’t go here expecting classic dishes like tikka masala with naan as you will not find it. But if you like good food, this place is an awesome choice for date night or just a nice dinner with friends.

Raja Bal

Great place for classy Indian dining.

Brittany Kausen

Overpriced in my opinion for mediocre food. The samosa are pretty good,, but not worth the price. Good atmosphere though, very hip.

Tanzi Lala

Nice place to party & good food

Raj -Insiya Zanzi

Nice interiors , decent drinks Food was bit too spicy although manager changed the dish so that was good but waiter was inattentive and busy on his phone!!

bharat bhate

Beautiful food pallets, variations of Indian dishes. Has spectrum of food from all of India. I enjoyed muddy drink, rasmali.

Rex Christian

Traditional Indian dishes done with a fancy twist. Not very good. Overpriced decent at best Indian food.

Pradeep Bola

Lamb Kima was wonderful.. Vada Pav was great...

R D

The food here has never disappointed. Definitely a great spot to enjoy good south Indian food without sacrificing on the ambience. Along with an extensive menu of traditional south indian items like idli, dosa etc. they are also very creative with innovative options like idli fries, lamb dosa etc. on the menu. Their cocktails are unique and delicious too. My one minor complaint is that everything cooked here, has excessive ghee ( form of clarified butter ) or atleast distinctly smells of it. Else the place is a definitely worth a visit!

Srikanth Madugundi

Good ambience upscale restaurant. Fast service and awesome dosas. The sambar that comes with dosa was the highlight.

Herb David

Very impressed with the food. We had two kinds of dosa and the Puri. All very good.

Keerthana Manivannan

We came to visit this place after a friend recommended it to us. We ordered dosas (surprise surprise). I ordered a spicy mung masala dosa and my partner ordered Rava Masala Dosa. Both were good. The chutneys were just about alright. If you've been to this other place in Sunnyvale called Madras Cafe, the chutneys there are amazing. My partner joked about how we should make a restaurant with dosa sourced from DOSA at Fillmore and chutneys sourced from Madras Cafe lol. It'd be a super hit. Anywhoo. We also tried the Philipkutty Chicken Curry. That was pretty good. Surprisingly there's no Chicken Dosa. I was a little disappointed at that fact. But yeah.

Amit Bhushan

Try the Keema Dosa - that was my favorite. The Puri in the Chana Puri dish was light and flaky. Worth a visit.

John Zacharakis

Delicious food and great service. Recommended

Biswadeb Chakraborty

Love the place but food is really so hot ( habanero)

Joseph Owens

Delicious! Best Indian dessert I’ve ever had. And wonderful dessert wines

Jeanmarie Boben

Excellent high end, South Indian flare. Of note -- South Indian is WAY different that North Indian food. Excellent flavors, clean food that is filling, yet not heavy. Love.

Brij Gupta

Good south Indian food

Sarath

Nice fusion food with an interesting take on south Indian food

Archana Raju

DOSA is a great restaurant that serves Indian fusion cuisine! The service is excellent, but the food portions are small. Their paper dosa are really crispy and definitely a must try! Also, don’t forget to munch on their quirky shot glass paani puri!

Gaurav Singh

Very authentic south Indian food

Gary Roth

Again, I'm just a passerby with my phone on!

Joyce Cannon

everyone at our table was quite pleased.

A K

THE Place for excellent Indian food and great ambience, in the City.

Mukul Bhanawat

This is one place you do not want to miss if you want to try south Indian delicacies in SFO !!

Archit Jha

Scrumptious South Indian food as rightly pointed out on the Michelin list.

Shalini Khurana

Great restaurant however there are better Indian restaurants in SF at a similar price point. One such example is Rooh.

Anusha Venkitachalam

A restaurant with South indian cuisine and good ambience. The food was ok. I wouldn't call it great and the uthapam I ordered was not cooked properly. Service was good... But I was just expecting excellent food and was let down a little

Jason Claxton

Veg slider was delicious.

Khushboo Sahni

Perhaps among the best Indian restaurants in California. Food and service both are great. My kids and parents, always relished the food here.

shrad panda

Best dosa in SF

Myroslava Symonenko

I loved the foods, the service aspect was quite scattered and slow. Everything we ordered was delectable and flavoursome both appetizers, main course, and dessert, equally so for kids and adults. The service side was strange - no lack of people that came to attend to our needs but seemingly lack of communication among those people, so we had to repeat the same things over again, wait for attention for quite a while, as if there was nobody keeping track or responsibility for our table and order.

Mari

The vibes here are tremendously positive. Had a great time with my co-workers and the dishes were quite the novelty. Everything was delicious and dishes were also quite vegetarian friendly for friends. Unique experience and one of a kind!

chaitanya brahmbhatt

Great food at reasonable price

Abhinav Singh

Too good! I ordered Veg Thali & it had every element that makes a meal perfect! Loved the ambience.

Michael Duong

A high scale Indian restaurant on Fillmore street. Ambience was smoothing but food was a bit pricey. The food was good but a little fancy. Went with a group of Indian colleagues and even they were a bit caught off guard by the menu. They also have a decent selection of wines and beer, unfortunately no Indian imported beer. Overall good experience, but again a bit pricey

Daniel Caraviello

Amazing Dosas (beautiful too), goat Biryani and chicken curry. Give me 3 months and I will try the whole menu.

Oscar Peterson

Wow. I'm impressed. Whereas South Bay is where I go for real Indian food, SF tends to have just the mediocre Americanized stuff. Until I discovered DOSA On Fillmore! This is a fancy establishment with a very creative menu that's also true to its South Indian roots. The spiced cocktails are not my thing but I love the creativity and appreciate the execution. The decors and service also wow every patron and keep us wanting to come back for more.

Copper Planet

Awesome dosa place

Usman Khaliq

This is such an amazing place! We ordered masala dosa, urappum, darhi puri, rose gelato and rasmalai. The food was brilliant, the ambience was great and our total bill was around $60. Great value for money!!

The American Grill TAG

Well a good Indian fine dine. Their weekend thali was good.

Abhijeeth Reddy Linganagari

The small plates/ appetizers are the best here. Fried idlis and pav sliders are def a must.

Kiran Murthy

We have never been less than satisfied with this place. The food, the ambience, the service are all top notch. It gets quite busy most evenings, so make reservations ahead of time

Guilherme Marques

Everything was really good, from the chutneys at the beginning and all the appetizers. We were a big group and the food that we had was perfect to share while we enjoyed their drinks (highlights to Steph Curry or Masala Mule).

Phillips Roger

Second time in a year we've come from Boise, Idaho and had the pleasure. Just being in their vibe makes me happy! Food and staff are superb. Had the chance to take our 16 year old, she adored it and the experience. Thank you and be back soon! Danny, Boise ID

sasikanth dale

Good ambiance. Pretty good quality, but missing flavors and taste especially with dipping chutney's.

Umakant Bhope

Authentic South Indian and other Delicious food.

tanvi vidhate

Beautiful selection of appetizers and desserts!

Naveen Nagaraja

Upscale Indian restaurant in sfo, little expensive obviously for the location but worth trying the best Indian food

Akshay Shetty

We reached the place around 2:45 pm. Yet they didn't pressure us to order since it closes at 3:00 pm. Ordered masala dosas and fried idllies. Absolutely Loved the idlies and the chutney that accompanied them. The service was really good.

gary murphy

Great modern Indian cuisine in attractive space. Had goat biryani. Huge portion baked into a potpie. Ate at the bar. Creative cocktails and friendly bartender.

pankaj padia

Good food pleasant atmosphere. Pricing mot very justified. Overall a good experience.

Lokesh Raizada

Great ambience and delicious food

Carlos Lopez

We walked in 5 minutes after their afternoon closing time, the super nice Manager and hostess let us grab a table and order, they were honest about setting the expectation we had to order quickly since the kitchen was closing, very fair, I value straightforwardness. We ordered a number a things, I cannot remember a single dish name, but every single of the 6-8 items we ordered were AMAZING. This was my first time trying southern Indian food, which apparently is a deviation from the usual dishes. Nevertheless... Food: is fantastic, the best Indian i have ever had. Their 'breads' (chips and the like) were to die for. Service: the staff was super nice and attentive, they all seemed happy which makes a tremendous difference. Presentation: very nice, orderly and clean. Quantity: proportional with price, this is not a cheap Indian buffet but it will get your stomach what it needs to survive while pleasing your palate. Price: its expensive for Dinner, but very moderate-average for lunch. Ambiance/Decor: modern, very nice and clean.

Blake Walker

Great dining space, friendly and attentive staff. Authentic flavors and beautiful presentations. Large bar and gourmet non-alcoholic choices. Great execution.

Karthik Rama

Excellent food but pricy

gaurav patel

super expensive, less quantity and so not tasty. panipuri's pani felt like lemon mixed with spices no hint of mint. Dosa, completely disaster and sambhar was salty. one good thing was plate decoration. after paying more than $100 went to In n Out to fill up the hunger.

De Greenbrae

Best Indian in SF and possibly best food in San Francisco, whose overall food scene pales in comparison to NY, LA, Sydney, Prague, even Boston or Miami. The $65 prix fixe is great though the dishes come out far too quickly and some of the earlier courses are very spicy and followed by ones with very little heat. Still, a great meal and vastly better than the extraordinarily expensive, mediocre fine dining restos in sf.

melinda moy-elliott

Absolutely beautiful restaurant and pleasant atmosphere. The vibrancy is all around as you walk in...the colors, the service, the food, the drinks, the music. The food was delicious and filling. Bartender was very engaging and provided good drink recommendations. A place worth checking out for the full experience.

Rita S

too bad they moved! nice lay back Indian food buffet style

hemal tolia

Price and quality good as per the ambience... The quantity is too less.

Ishita Bisht

Upscale Indian cuisine restaurant. The decor and ambiance were welcoming. Food was really innovative and delicious. The drinks were a hit or miss. Dessert was yummy. Service was great too.

Sunny Israni

This place serves fine and exquisite Indian dishes. the ambience is great with high ceilings and nice classical Indian music playing in the background when we went for lunch. My favorite item was the truffle oil dosa and it was nothing but fantastic. They served various types of chutneys which made the dish even more appetizing and flavorful. I wish I have this place 5 stars but the cost per dish is too high and I have heard it has become even more expensive lately. You can expect to shell about $50 per person here!

Vikas Kapoor

Pretty nice ambience and decent food. Not entirely sure though if the food is worth the high $

Joe Fischer

Went there on a Friday I think. The service here is better than most. This place has an awesome atmosphere.

Ram Viswanathan

Good place for tasty South Indian delicacies. Little pricey but the ambience and service makes up for it. I ordered for a 'Thali'; while the food was tasty, the portion was for 2 or 3 people. I don't like wasting food but ended up leaving most of it on the plate.. :-(

Stephen Stocker

Food is good but the hostess was rude. SMILE! BE NICE!

Daniel Austin

Portion sizes were excellent. Service was great and ambient atmosphere was appropriate

Jamie Delgado

I love this place. The bill was reasonable I would say. Menu is like a cafe in Boston I liked.

Richard Shaffer

Great location to meet with friends. Certainly worth a return trip. Prices were fair.

Karthik Dhanukodi

The fall tasting menu is simply divine! The adventurous ingredients and authentic cooking style lead to a classical, but enhanced bouquet of flavors for the discerning palate. The Arctic Char with Apple Moilee was a nostalgia-filled classic, yet the flavors were brighter and more vibrant than I had remembered. The lamb ribs were so succulent and tender, that they literally fell apart by just being nudged by the back of my spoon. This spot has quickly become a favorite date spot for me and my girlfriend. I'm sure we will be coming here for years to come.

Nitin Potdar

Unique recipes

Michele Sidoine

Beautiful decor, wonderful ambiance, great staff. The food was not the best I've had though. And we were a large party, so they wanted us to order from the family menu where everyone would pay $65! Took some conversations to change that #romantic #vegetarianfriendly, crazy.

Nicolás Arkhipenko

Good food, a lot of people and very popular. I don't know if the whole experience was good for the price. Probably I will not come back unless somebody else invite me there.

Karla Koebernick

Remarkably fresh food, deliciously spiced and beautifully presented. Was told the samosas can't be made vegan (but are marked vegan on menu for Oakland location); adding those would make it perfect!!

ravinder goel

Three stars only because of the ambience, high ceilings and cleanliness. However, the food is very average. Filter coffee was pathetic (did not even seem like filter coffee) , dosa was okayish, and dahi vada seemed stale. I was expecting authentic and fresh food but did not get either. The wait staff was very friendly though. Overall, it's a fancy south Indian food place but if you want to go for food quality, look somewhere else.

Mayukh Chowdhury

Great ambience

Rajesh Patel

Food was great , dosa was delicious

Michael Robson

A very pleasant surprise and a well informed and interesting bartender walked us through the menu. The appetizers were perfect and the chicken was melt in your mouth. We had a shared lamb curry which was perfectly seasoned and presented. I felt fully satisfied and pleasantly surprised that the Indian food was authentic and aromatic. The bartender mixed incredible cocktails right in front of us during our stay.

Sean T

Unique Indian food.

Melissa Hensel

The food was good and very flavorful, but the service didn't really match the ambiance. At one point I spotted the manager handing out payroll on the floor. Not a deal breaker, but it seemed a bit unprofessional.

Vipul Mahadik

Food was good. The restaurant is more about the ambience. Mango Lassi was fine and thick. We ordered Masala dosa and Chile uttapam, both were good (4 out of 5)

Lisa Coffey

Great location to chill, eat some good food. Had a sister come into town and asked me to take her here again.

zachary zurich

It's southern Indiana so don't expect typical northern dishes like saag and butter chicken and masala and vindaloo etc. Some interesting flavors and presentation but it wasn't spicy. I think something you can go once to for experience but personally I think I like northern indian better because it's more like comfort food. Also not supprisingly it was expensive we went with six adults and three kids and bill was over 600 and kids entre was only 10 dollars. So if you want to try a different sort of India then you are used to give it a try but not likely going to be a regular.

Minh Do

Unique menu and cooking. Good service. Very pricey. Some of the dishes only have one hot level (which is very spicy) and I feel odd that they can't do anything about it.

William Lambert

3.5 stars but I’m rounding down I’ve had better meals, attentive service, more food, for less money through out San Francisco. A little bit more focused on bottom line than cultivating an experience. Dosa is a shared dish. One you share with friends and guests. This felt like Indian Tapas, where the drinks and tapas cost the same price. Servers were pleasant, but forgettable. I’ll come back, but only if I have to.

Ayat Amr

It’s good, but expensive I prefer Mela Tandoori, delicious and more reasonable prices

Anusha P

My fav place for lunch when I visit sfo :)

Gina Hall

It was delicious and a fun atmosphere. It would be nice to order what level of spice u enjoy. What was a 4 on the hot meter for the waiter was an 11 for me.

Dhruv M

Amazing place. The Dosa here was really authentic. The ambience of the place is really nice and modern. The prices are bit on the higher side but it’s completely worth it’s quality of food.

Tina Tjahjadi

Famous for their crepes. It's served in small plates. Pricey but the food is good. The ambience makes the dining experience feels like home.

Arlene Nasser

Dissapointing. Nice environment dood bland.

Jennifer Ng Gemmell

Showed up without a reservation on a Saturday evening and was able to get a spot at the bar, serving the whole menu. Attentive staff and in particular my barkeep Surinder, who took good care of me. He even offered me (on the house) a new concoction title Queen Bee made of vodka with fresh grated ginger, mint, masala cardamom and honey. Very refreshing. My input: serve it on shaved ice! My spicy Mung dosa was on point, served with chutney and sambar. Loved my mango lassi with just the right hint of cardamom. Thank-you for the great food and service. Will definitely be back.

sanjay muttamsetty

Excellent Food!! Can't go wrong...

Monish Chainani

Phenomenal. I visited during Navratri, with rigid dietary stipulations. They whipped up a veggie (no onion, no garlic) meal fit for a king. Thank you!

Chetan Suresh

Always had great food here. Be prepared for lengthy wait times without an appointment.

Sabariganesh J

Good to get a south indian cuisine in Japan own. Traditional and authentic, good but not great. Also a bit costlier option.

Kaushik B

Great ambience. The experience was great. Food was lovely. Happy to go there again.

Mathew Royce

Staff not familiar with the menu, slow service, and very overpriced. The foods good, but I’d recommend eating at the bar

Nehal Patel

Amazing selections of South Indian food with interesting twists! Definitely try the cocktails, too!

Sri B.

Very high end Indian restaurant. Awesome customer service, great food and super fast service. The appetizer Corn chat is small in portion but deep in taste. Some of the dishes are pretty decent in portions and done are just enough for a bite or two. Every dish is well made and leave you wanting more. The desert, Tapioca Kheer, is truly yummy and ended up ordering more than we wanted. Don't you miss to try this out, if you like Indian desserts. Overall a great place and fantastic experience. Money well spent on an evening with the entire family.

Carolyn Mohr

Love eating here. Food is very good

Sid Shah

Wine with my dosa ? That’s just wrong :) The food is pretty good for Indian in SF... it will be just ok if it were in Sunnyvale. But you are going there for the ambiance and service . All things considered its above average

bekki bolthouse

The food is great but the service leaves quite a lot to be desired. Cold service with a confrontational flavor. I felt unwelcome and I won't be back.

nirmal g

Obnoxiously expensive and not very authentic. I never get why people pay so much for staple South Indian food. And street vendor back in India can make much more delicious food than this Much better options for authentic South Indian food in Bay area

Sridhar Rasthapuram

One of the good Indian restaurants with decent prices.

Anant Damle

Good food. Slightly high priced.

Rupal Sharma

We really do not like the food and service is very slow and poor. They forgot what we ordered and delayed the remaining order. Mango lassi was worst. Price is unnecessarily high.

Pushpendra Garg

Great place, choice of dosas is just too much. Dosa with wine is difficult to find at home.

A Google User

Back for a 2nd time in one day! Lol!!! It's just great. We literally decided to have the same dishes but I think it was the chicken poutine that brought us back. Love this place. Do your self a favor and stop by!!

Chad Balistrieri

Love this place!

Aditya Solge

Worst indian food ever. Not good dosa and slowest service I have ever experienced. They missed an item on the order and took forever to serve it. It was very difficult to sit since tables were placed very closely and this place is unnecessary expensive too! Mango lassi disappointment me the most!!!

vbr prasad

one of the better places in SF for dosa. The ambience is good and the service is good. The Masala dosa here is the best and also the fried idly. Also they have a bar table for a pleasant evening .The best thing abiut dosa is not dosa but sambhar!!

vichitra agarwal

Horrible food. Two star is because of their beautiful ambiance and huge space. Fine dine restaurant. Their complimentary fried papad was life saver at that meal. Also, coconut sauf at the counter was tasty. As far as food is concerned we had vada pav which was very bland, dosa was okish but no authentic flavor and a combination of chef's choice 5 mini uttapams was tasteless. Presentation was okay but not eatable. People who are new to Indian food may like it, but it was not for the tongue of a South Indian food lover like me.

Deven Parghi

A higher-end South Indian restaurant, which does mean smaller portions and higher prices, but you're in downtown SF with plenty of after-dinner options. The Vada Pav is very spicy but delicious!
