REVIEWS OF Dinah's Family Restaurant IN California

Laura Johnston Kohl

Dinah's is an historic restaurant. It is warm and inviting with great service, and has lots of seating - but has cosy separate rooms. The menu gives lots of choices for comfort food or light meals. Our waitress was very welcoming and efficient.

Nacho O

Anytime I'm in the area this is a MUST GO for breakfast. We stopped by today on our way home from our Princess Cruise trip to Mexico. We couldn't resist their original fried chicken and brought home a 27 piece bucket for the kids at home. The fried chicken is absolutely the best!! The only other place with fried chicken this good is Knott's Berry Farm. The chicken fried steak breakfast is also a must! Delicious

Drew Umland

Good food and hearty portions at this classic LA diner. Stop in for a filling meal or just to grab a shake and enjoy the setting. The fried chicken is pretty solid and worth a try. Although I find it and everything else to be little under seasoned. Clean and consistent goes a long way with me. In those categories Dinah’s doesn’t disappoint. They have a separate entry and counter for takeout. Where there normally is some pretty good special deals. There are also daily specials for dine in.

Abel Lawal

Great place. I really enjoy the chicken here! It is crispy and moist but not flaky, and not greasy at all. Shame there is only a couple of them around.

Vincent Rogozyk

Hi Dinah’s, we love your place. What would it take to get a veggie patty as an option for breakfast? Thank you for reading this.

Mali Moor

Very friendly staff. The restaurant smells horribly of old carpet and dog. The food is over priced for the quality. The food was not good neither were the drinks. I only gave stars for the server.

Carol Murray

Great location for tasty American food. Visited at eight, it was not full. It has a cool interior.

Jonathan Merz

Great diner. Exactly what you would expect! It's also been in a bunch of movies and TV shows so it's a cool place to take out-of-towners for breakfast. Watch out for the nihilists though.

Amy Frank

Excellent location for tasty american food. next time i'll be back with my coworkers. it has an awesome feel to it. they have a lot of good reviews for a reason.

CollardGreens & CornBread

This was my 1st time and last time. I received burnt French toast and the food was tasteless. They use food coloring and water to make strawberry flavoring or syrup instead of using real blended strawberries and the silverware was dirty upon sitting down. The 3 sliced tomatos, fries and 2 fried drumsticks off the kid menu were ok. SMH!!!

Autumn Martinez

american food, mmm, so great. Entered near eleven, it wasn't packed. Certainly worth going back to. Bring your hunger - portions are filling.

Kevin Mccarthy

Great service. Amazing Fried Chicken. Delicious home made Cherry pie. I would go again in a heartbeat!

Michelle Rodgers

First time eating at Dinah’s. I ordered the chicken breast dinner. All of the sides were very good but, the chicken breast, not so much. It was so bad I spit it out. However, since it was my first time eating there, I’m willing to give Dinah’s another chance.

Kylie Marshall

One of my fav places for delicious american food. Good place to catch up with friends. This place has an awesome feel to it.

Jim Popovich

Great Old school cooking, great atmosphere, good prices, great service.

So, my family and I visited this restaurant one Sunday after church service. Been here many times so I am very surprised that I have to write this bad review. My family and I walked in were greeted and showed to our table. We had a waitress named Susie, and let me tell you she was extremely rude. We ordered buffalo wings. Wings were extremely dry and hard. no buffalo sauce or anything. Being that this is my favorite appetizer to order from this place I was very surprised. waitress came to the table so my husband and I mentioned to her our problem. She stated to us "well what do you want me to do about it take it back?" I stated to her can they be re-done because we couldn't even eat them and we ordered 2 servings. One order for me and one order for my husband. So our waitress stated that she will go a ask the chef if he would make them fresh. She comes back and says to us. "The chef says that the wings are just gonna come out the same way" I stated but, they are over done... She says" well i'm just telling you what the chef said" The main thing that upsets me is the lack of customer service. She could clearly see that the chicken was over cooked NEVER once said "I'm sorry about that Let's see how when can fix it" She made us feel like she was annoyed by us asking for fresh quality food. smh.. Her nasty attitude made me not wanna EVER come back here and spend my hard earned money. She was very rude. A person that has that type of attitude should not be working in customer service. Just my opinion BEWARE.........

Fredy Cortez

The staff is awesome. They all work very Hard and are quick and efficient.

Susan Navarre

Great varied breakfast menu at reasonable prices. Friendly service.

April Desaulniers

Had the club sandwich. With the gumbo soup. Delicious!! Very friendly waitress!!

Constance Jones

Great service and wonderful food. Apple pancake was to die for. Small was more than enough for me.

Annie Acevedo

Good place for tasty American food. I give this place double thumbs up. The staff was very helpful and observant. This place has a good feel to it. I see why this place has a lot of great reviews.

John Nakamura

Great place for comfort food and great quality. Mid afternoon and mashed potatoes and gravy was still top quality and NOT thick. perfect.

Alice Conner

american food... so great. I give this place two thumbs up. Service is consistently good. This place has a good feel to it. Reminds me of a restaurant in Philadelphia that I enjoyed.

Crystal Jackson

Food was just okay, but the ribs where so good

Maurice Montgomery

Asked for well done eggs, was still runny

A. C. du Pont

The best. Getting expensive.

David Galloway

Great place. Good food. It has been featured in movies and tv shows.

William Seals

The experience was great I believe the last time I sit down with my son he was probably about 11 so he's 22 at this time and it was like the first time we actually sit down and had breakfast together experience was wonderful the food and the service what's great also... to the great commander and chief L.S.S.

Kim Newman

Ok,so when you have a place that you like,to eat and then they are good that day you visit what do you do? The chicken was dry, hard and tasteless. We had to send the fruit back,be a use it was dead, soft and flavorless. My sister had home fried potatoes that where fully cooked. The service was nice as always. So we will try again another day.

Raymond Roybal

very pricy for what you get! good customer service

Blanca Gutiérrez

Service was great and so was the fried chicken. The pancakes were fluffy but a bit too dry. Plenty of parking.

Jennifer Pierce-Vieira

A nice quite diner with good food and friendly staff

Dave Rogers

Amazing place!! Food was excellent, cool atmosphere!a little on the pricey side. I won't be there every Saturday but every once in awhile when I'm in town!!@

Deneen Johnson

Historical place to get a nice variety of food to fit any palate. Staff very nice.

Domingo Mendez Jr

Great costumer service. Friendly staff. Food is rightly seasoned . This place is well known for their fried chicken however the salmon I ordered was very good, served with lemon and tartar sauce. It was moist and delicious. Curly fries could use a pinch more salt and their brownie was on point as well. Highly recommend.

Thomas Talbot

Fun atmosphere. Good burger and chicken. Large breakfast. Fresh orange juice. Surprisingly pricey, but that is due to LA...

Nicholas Cole

Great food, great coffee, great service

Kimberley Searching

I’ve been going to Dinah’s since I was... well I don’t remember it not being there. It’s the one West LA classic restaurant that they haven’t replaced with a Starbucks!! Ya don’t think of taking a photo here, but next time I will. Never know when it’ll be gone like Stern’s, Woody’s, Ship’s etc. . This place never changes & I love that!! The comfy booths, the same menu and staff! When I was young & thin I’d get the German pancake! Basically I was eating a dessert for dinner! As big as the plate, stuffed with apples, baked crispy, with a ton of cinnamon on top!! Soo good!!

Grace Sainz

Just discovered this place..I hv always driven by it for years..The food n atmosphere is nostalgic...nice. the food as u can see in my picks is bomb! My family n I will definitely be going bk..great service n the manager took the time to introduce himself and told us about an upcoming event..stop by n eat u wont regret it!!!

Richard Kennemer

My friend suggested going here to get a Thanksgiving meal since neither of us have family in town or feel like cooking. I had been here years ago when I lived in the area and remembered having a good meal there. Today's Thanksgiving meal was not only a bad meal but it was the worst Thanksgiving meal that I've ever had in my life and just downright an awful experience. The food tasted Bland and flavorless and the service was poor. I flat-out refused to continue eating the meal after only taking a few bites and told the manager that I would not be paying for my meal but that if my friend chose to continue eating his meal I would pay for it. I would have maybe chosen another meal to have for lunch but I was already just kind of grossed out because the vibe of the place was raunchy. There was an old overweight woman sitting across from me in my view that kept putting her hand down her pants and scratching her crotch area. I wanted to hurl.. so I just encouraged my friend to hurry up and finish his meal so we could get out of there and find something in the freezer to cook at my house. Should have done that to begin with.. I won't be back after this experience. Im sure the staff are fine with that since I communicated all of my complaints before leaving.. other than agreeing to not charge me for the meal there was no other resolution offered to me..

Karen Guinan

It's iconic! We had breakfast and there was plenty of it. Service was fast. Some of the interior could be revamped. Overall, a decent meal.

Ken Curry

The best friend chicken and I love their Bloody Mary

Blake F. Donaldson

My favorite breakfast place! Great breakfast special until 11 AM very inexpensive breakfast that is delicious. And the best club sandwich I have had in the city! That is saying a lot! Oh hear Dinah’s is awesome!

Keely SAMBONINO

First time here had the chicken n waffles. Very satisfied with the service and taste. Will definitely be coming back. Also the bakery is great got a pecan pie delicious. Will be coming back with my family.

Deborah Jane Power

Food was great. Portions huge! Sitting at the counter was perfect for the full experience!

Deanna Driscoll

Best diner experience! Worth finding it in LA.

Anthony Kennedy

I have eaten at Dinah's before and the quality of the seasoning has diminished for their chicken. The meal I ordered by phone was warm when I arrived 10 minutes later. The staff was friendly, the establishment was moderately clean and there was no crowd. For me the quality of the food and the service only earned a marginal grade. I have not eaten the spicy option, nor have I in the past to receive seasoned chicken. It's just not for me anymore. I hope they go back to seasoned and not bland chicken. Have a great meal.

Lisa Holmes

I had the seafood pasta and my friend had the ultimate burger and all of the food was delicious! The waitress was really kind. She kept coming by to see if we needed anything which I really liked.

Jared Salem

The pork ribs were great and fantastic service

Danny Carranza

Overly priced

John Urbach

Good portions, good prices and a friendly staff

james boone

Warm, friendly diverse crowd with good food

David Dudley

After seeing this place on Masterchef I was anxious to give it a try. Drove 1.5 hours to get here just to be horribly disappointed. chicken lacked salt and had a weird odd flavor to it, fries were a bit too oily, needed to be crispier. Pork ribs were decent but did not taste fresh. Beans also tasted old like they have been sitting somewhere for a while. Considering how fast the food comes out it is apparent that not everything is cooked fresh to order. Definitely a big let down

David Romero

Great chicken & banana cream pie!

Heather Kau

Enjoyable atmosphere and good diner quality food.

Caitlin Estrada

American food, mmm, super delicious. Very savory. Will surely make a return trip. It has a nice interior. Ambience is similar to Fresno's scene.

K J

You guys just stole the Cornell's original receipt!

Jack Bright

American food, mmm, so tasty. I really loved this place. Looking forward to coming back with my relatives. It has a cool atmosphere.

Amber Nicole Becker

Great!!! Pacific coast plumbing... We have our monthly meetings there and it's always great!!! The staff is amazing!!!

Zach Levine

Went after I saw this on "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee". Food is quite tasty and parking was easy, but way way too expensive for what it is. Weekend Breakfast for 2 was like 48$ (2 egg dishes 2 coffees + tip). Especially for the rather boring location, the prices don't make sense. If they lowered their weekend prices, I would go back regularly.

Traci Hester

Good place for american food. Great place to meet and catch up with friends. The staff was sociable and attentive. The place has a cool feel to it. Ambience is similar to Fresno's scene.

Daniel Christopher

Beef Ribs...is all I can say. Oh, the cucumber salad is good too.

Marvin Rodriguez

Their breakfast is really good. Their biscuit and gravy are so delicious. Definitely coming back.

Sabina Howell

The chix is not good chix livers made up Somebody call dinah

Jay Spence

There is absolutely no reason to come here for fried chicken, which I thought was one of their specialties. First time here and I ordered a fried chicken dinner. The fried chicken had no hint of spices or flavors in the batter at all. If anything, there was a slight burnt smell like the oil was old and the chicken fried for just a bit too long. Hopefully, the meat will make a better leftovers meal once I season it and add it to something else.

Ina Parker

I really expected the fried chicken to be out of this world....but sadly it tastes just like KFC. I did really like the steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes and gravy. The roll was cold but I bet it would have been really good if it was warmed up...missed opportunity!

dapunisher1

Holy smokes the breakfast and Chicken were the bomb!!!

Zebulen Iredale

Excellent place for American food. Cool place to meet and catch up with coworkers. Prices that won't break you. This place has good reviews for a reason.

Thomas Corona

Local favorite for a long time, good breakfast

Brian King

Friend suggested we eat here on our way to the airport. Highly suggest if you enjoy delicious classic diner food. Chicken and waffles, swedish pancakes, plain Belgian waffle and a side of bacon. You certainly can't go wrong here.

Diane Stellman

Great food and service

Timothy Akao

Excellent choice for a good meal. It is a nice size restaurant with great food. Every one is friendly from when you walk in the door. Food portions are big. I would recommend this place for breakfast.

Rodger Chartrand

Literally a West Side food institution/active museum. Large collection of old radios surround the dining area and the entire place exudes a very retro atmosphere taking you back to a simpler, more innocent time in America's history. The food is very good and all recipes date back many decades. We recently enjoyed the all you can eat fish and chips. We also took home a large family chicken dinner which was enough food for about two dinners for a family of 5 so definitely a great value. The wait staff was very attentive and ensured a wonderful dining experience. You absolutely cannot go wrong dining at Dinah's! 5 stars is not enough! HOOYAH!

Searcy

law enforcement friendly , good food, and service is great!

Nathan Cook

My preferred spot for tasty American food. Got there near seven, it wasn't very crowded. The staff was sociable and attentive. It has a cool interior. Feels similar to a cafe in Chicago I loved.

Romender Jean

The food was horrible I did not like the chicken or the fish. The best thing was the salad. The service was very good. My husband wanted to eat here he use to come here a lot 30, 40 years ago. Even he was disappointed with the food. We will not be coming back.

Thomas Knybel

The best place they give a good very good apple baked pancake all of the u.s.

Marco Farley

american food and the feeling at this location is great. Visited Sat afternoon. I will be back with my friends. Prices were appropriate.

Liz

Great food, large portions, reasonably priced, lovely servers.

Sara Figueroa

Eaten here and taken to-go. Delicious and large portions. Fantastic scrambler #1, biscuits and gravy, and buttermilk pancakes. Jam is delicious. Believe it or not the bacon donut is amazing. Great service. Long wait though, but worth it.

Alyssa Shepherd Moore

Dinah’s anniversary special on July 30 is the best EVERY YEAR!! Not a big red meat eater, but I will treat myself to their 1959 hamburger and fries during their anniversary. It never disappoints. During the anniversary all 4 of us ate well for lunch and the bill was only $5.13. Don’t expect that price everyday, only during their anniversary on July 30th. Take care.

Jennifer Kochevar

It's a bit run down but the staff was efficient and friendly. The margaritas are not the best (but it's a diner, what can one expect?). I enjoyed my cinnamon french toast and I heard the ribs and fish were quite good.

Jaime Figueroa

Food is overpriced for microwave products. Service is terrible and overall an unpleasant experience. Seriously, food couldn’t have been worst for the price you pay. I ordered two eggs over medium with turkey sauce and French toast, wrong choice. Sauce and French toast were the items you buy, already cooked, at the supermarket and heat up in the microwave. I will never return. It’s a tourist trap!!

Sergio Perez

Classic diner, food and service is great. Daily dinner specials. Fried chicken is one of the Best!! Crispy juicy and flavorful I love Dinah's!

OMAR SHINEZ

Really good restaurant. It was my first time visiting, and I will definitely be back. I ordered the two egg combo with french toast and turkey bacon. The coffee was okay. If you're looking for a bold tasting coffee, they don't have it. But, that's okay with me, because I don't like bold coffee.

Andy Mysliwiec

Lunch and breakfast classics a plenty. Long lines if you're not there early. They will run out of cinnamon buns if you get there late. Good chicken too.

Laura Gonzales

I absolutely love this place. Not only do they have great sausages with excellent toppings, but they have the best pickles on the planet!

Dominique Brown

I don't know what Samuel L Jackson was talking about. They have great bacon here.

Derrick Cunningham

Great breakfast! Great chicken!

James Arroyo

A favorite place for american food. The food was amazing. There was quick, helpful, and friendly service. It has a cool atmosphere. Menu is similar to a restaurant in Jacksonville I loved.

Drew Mayer-Oakes

Dinah's is my go to breakfast when I'm in the LAX area. Great coffee and traditional diner fare. You'll enjoy it!

Dennis Fatherree

Prices have gone up tremendously, you don't get your money's worth.Nice servers. Atmosphere is cozy . The host needs a nicer attitude or should not work in the public.

Timothy Giles

Pretty good but $$$

Luciano Gonzalez

Prime rib was good but needed salt, rest of meal was bland

Juls Vidal

Good place for breakfast. Try the berry waffles. My daughter and I enjoyed breakfast items.

K Badd

Food and great service always!

Robert Willis

Good place for american food. I was super full. It has a nice atmosphere. If it wasn't far from my work I would come by more.

Robert Smith

I had the fried chicken dinner and the fried chicken was not cooked well it was Pink on the inside. The mashed potatoes was cold on the inside. Everything else was okay

Bernie Stern

Fall-off-the-bone pork ribs are on the menu. And they do not disappoint. It was so ridiculous you almost couldn't pick them up to eat them if you wanted to. The fried chicken was excellent and when I stole a bite of bacon from my girl, that was excellent as well.

Jamie L Adair

Try their chocolate chip pancakes; it's a secret recipe. Most people like their fried chicken. I personally like their French Dip with curly fries.

Tara Foster

I am pleased with everything I eat here. It is consistently good. The service is decent. All of the serving staff are friendly and efficient.

Robert M

Classic LA coffee shop. Here today just for coffee. Service was good and so was the coffee.

Laraine Graham

Often have breakfast here when visiting friends. Friendly staff, reasonably priced

Herb Gotti

Juicy, delicious original recipe if you remember how good the colonel was back in the day, Dinah is THE spot for chicken no matter where in L.A. you might be well worth it

Dany Butler

Food was ok, fruit not fresh. Svc was cool

Deanna Frost

Good comfort food. Breakfast for dinner is available so that was a plus.

Joel Simpson

Had pancakes and eggs. Pancakes were not fluffy but flat and firm. The one egg was acceptable. Will not be back.

Dan Foley

I got Dinah's Breakfast Special: 2 eggs, ham (or bacon or sausage), pancakes (or hash browns), coffee -- $12.29 total out the door, good deal for the money, I thought, good prompt service and coffee refills

Jones Reece

Been around for 75 years celebration in the making food the staff sll friendly knowledgeable about their menu plus how to make it your own. Plenty of parking space for all also a carry out entrance did I say they can catering specifically fried chicken baskets. Check them out all types of meals can be served at your eating desire Senior prices.

Mario Marino

TWO WORDS: FRIED CHICKEN

Al Baker

Best breakfast special ever ❤️ so much food I had to leave a half stack of pancakes on my plate.

Motty Wolodarsky

I am addicted to this fried chicken - big fan highly recommended

Jocelyn Domingo

Came for the All you can Eeat fried chicken dinner. The chcken was so juicy and well seasoned. The staff was friendly and made you feel bery welcome. I will definitely be back!

Javier S

Dinah's is a family restaurant institution! Fried chicken is really good!, their breakfast is good, many pancake options. So if you're every in culver city check out dinah's.

Susan Wolfe

I just can't get enough of their patty melt on sourdough with cheddar cheese and thousand island dressing.

Justin Regis

Great neighborhood diner; pancakes are perfect.

Ms. MAW

Great Food! Mother in Law & Aunt Loved it.

Bill Oliver

Have gone here many times over the past couple of years. I don't have any specific dishes to recommend since all of what I've ordered has been very good. It's a busy place, especially on the weekends. Prices are a bit high in my opinion but the food has been consistently good and the service has been above average with only a very few exceptions. Will likely return.

Mike Hosley

I had an absolutely off the hook experience here chatting it up with the counter with really cool people and I had Dinah's chop which was the most incredible Cobb salad with warm green beans and chicken you could possibly imagine I'll definitely go back

Jason

Great breakfast spot for comfort food and large portions. Ive eaten here for a LOOOONG time. not that often but Id say 3 times a year maybe for the past 30 years or so. Food is always good, no complaints. Recently Ive been coming here a lot with a group of friends maybe 6-10. We never seem to have a problem getting a table which is nice. Service is great. Fried chicken is delightful. This is my go to when I come here for breakfast. The people who come here are nice, Ive often engaged in convo with other tables. Dinahs just has a nice hometown vibe to it.

DIANE ISAACS

Dinner food is modest. Salmon was dry as a bone; creamed spinach tasted like it was made with wallpaper paste. Staff was very good courteous and prompt. Best bet is to stick with their breakfast menu.

kaliipnet

I heard there is a debate about Dinah’s and Roscoes. I’m not from LA nor do I live there but we go to LA yearly as my husband is from LA. Dinah’s was okay. The vibe was rad; old booths, career servers and an overall retro aesthetic which I love. Their food was okay. The fried chicken was not very good. It tasted like old fryer grease and wasn’t seasoned. The waffles though? So good. They were like a 3d cube waffle which meant it was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Highly recommend the waffles. Otherwise it was a fun place to go to check out an old LA classic. But if you are looking for fried chicken stick with Roscoes.

Darlene Lucas

This is a nice place. I love the old phono players and cameras that are all around the restaurant. I had a banana and walnut Belgian waffle that was very tasty. I'll be back.

jun li

It's family restaurant and friendly. Just don't have the sirloin steak there. It's not fitting your steak tastes.

Kenyatta C. Moon

GROWING UP MY FAMILY HAD DINNER NIGHTS OUT. BETWEEN DINAH'S AND JOLLY RODGER'S (NO LONGER OPEN). ANYWAY, DINAHS IS AN AMERICAN STAPLE AND A LANDMRK. DOWN THE STREET FROM MY DAD'S OLD COMPNAY AND MY OLD SCHOOL. THEY HAVE THE BEST FAMILY STYLE DINNERS AND FAMOUS FOR THAT FINGER LICKIN' DAMN GOOD FRIED CHICKEN. IT'S COMPLETELY RETRO AND YES YOU WILL BE TRANSPORTED BACK IN TIME. AHHHH I NEED TO MAKE A VISIT AND HAVE A BLAST. MAYBE ON MY BIRTHDAY. WE'LL SEE. UNTIL THEN PEOPLE .... DEFINITELY CHECK OUT DINAH'S !!!!!

Rahman Culver

Great family-owned iconic L.A. diner. Friendly staff, with traditional and Mexican-inspired fare. Expect a wait during typical high traffic hours.

Hana Downey

Not for the health conscious fitness guru. Delicious greasy food and lottery scratchers to pass the time. Love coming here with my boyfriend. Went on Valentine’s Day and had a blast.

Tim Jackson

I think the demographics on the inside of this place needs to change because it's extremely hard to sit in here and have food with family and be stared upon by someone who has prejudice. The inside of this place needs a re facing something to promote togetherness. I did not like my Experience on this place although the food was very good the hospitality was great but I think because of where is located there seems to be only one crowd that is expected to be in there other than anyone else in it's not a good feeling.

shelby phipps

The German Apple Pancakes are amazing!

Garry Matthews

Great food and fast service

Al W

last visit was like 2008. not as good but Good enough. Don't have the same energetic personnel and patronage seems to be off. One of the 50s diners that is still around.

Nancy Rubio

Great food. The service is very nice. Friendly.

Sternchen Petersen

Yummy Those Cinnamon Rolls are AMAZING The Chicken gumbo DELICIOUS!!! You can not go wrong what ever you order it is a classic Diner that exists over 60 Years! Everything is delicious

Theresa Hofmann

Service was good, food not so much. The mashed potatoes were dry and tasted old. The breading on the chicken was soggy and off putting. The food quality has deteriorated greatly.

Michelle Ierardi

Good food and service.

Raymond Y

All you can eat fried chicken Monadys and Thursdays! Third generation family business. Super welcoming staff and awesome food for a reasonable price. Not the best friend chicken I have ever had, but deffinetly up there.

Scott Wiseman

Seriously this place is the last place in the area that serves old fashioned California cuisine at a fair price they been around for fifty years and hopefully they'll be around for another 50 or more

Rashaundra Davis

The fried chicken was not fresh and lukewarm

Miguel Cruz

Had a blast with prices from the past!! The chicken was good.

Christian Woodward

Historic, fun, solid diner. The food is a few steps above other diners and a few things are really quite good. Esp the chicken, waffles, and bread. Easily seats many people and a convenient take out window exists. This place definitely has charm.

Lori Moye

Nice local family restaurant. Good straightforward well cooked food. A bit on the pricey side.

Wendell Jones

Great old school diner. It has a breakfast counter and lots of seating. But it does get crowed in the morning on the weekends. They put us in the back room which is kind of banquet style since we had 11 people in our party. It was really cold back there. There are a ton of TVs all over the walls. The service was good for such a big party. I tried the fried chicken and waffles. The waffles were good, hot and fresh unlike my chicken. It was try and hard like it had been sitting around all day. My brother in law ordered the same thing with white meat and his was golden brown and juicy. I guess I should have asked them to replace my dark meat but I never like to send anything back you never know how they will take it. All in all I would go back but not in any great hurry. Next time I’ll make sure to ask for fresh chicken.

Tina Pittman

I enjoyed this place I enjoyed Ines my daughter did to she loved the chicken and waffles and if you've never had their waffles they are huge so if the waiter or waitress I suggest a half order instead of a full order take that advice

Universal Mission

Love it.. experience results for more items.. I'm not eat for restaurants.. but search for all menus card .. than results for better... Dinah's keep it up...

Sami Panda

Not a fan of the fries, but great place to eat

Becky Jensen

You have to wait for them to cook your sausage and it took about 10 minutes. The sausages are very very good. I had beer sausage with sauerkraut and onions, and I will never forget the crunch and juiciness of that meal.

royce bell

Been coming here since 1973; now less often since we are in San Bernardino, but we've never been disappointed. Wife loves the creamed spinach. Not me. I love the fried chicken and waffles, but apparently I am allergic to Dinah's. Every time I eat here, I break out in fat.

John Kroon

Never had German Pancakes before. It was fantastic. I'd highly recommend it.

Craig Arnush

Dinah's is an institution that I've been visiting for at least forty years. They're well known for their fried chicken, but their apple pancake is my go-to order everyone I visit. There's a little extra wait for the pancake, but it's more than with it.

Omari Bakari

One of L.A.'s beat family restaurants with an awesome daily special menu!

George Padilla

This restaurant has a variety of meal plans for you and all the ones I've tried are pretty good the only concern it's a bit pricey for what you get. The chicken dinner for instance had two side dishes soup and three pieces of chicken and a beverage for about $20, I think that's a bit pricey for what we were getting at this type of establishment. The Fried Chicken was very crispy and delicious and the beef stroganoff was pretty good as well.

Jade Blackburn

My favorite place for American food. The place has a cool atmosphere. Feels similar to a cafe in Chicago I loved.

Leah Hudson

Food and service is ok. Nothing special.

Ryan Haluch

All of the food is so good and filling, the service was amazing and it has a cool oldies vibe.

Angelica Pollard

American food... super satisfying. i love eating here. food is like a restaurant in louisville i loved.

Kinna Thompson

Service was good, food was better. I had the swedish pancakes with bacon (great), my husband had eggs and a waffle (great) and our friend had chicken and waffles (great). Good atmosphere, it's the very definition of a diner.

Jamison Moore

To the point, with the fatty, salty, diner chow you crave. Coffee is decent, and service is usually pretty good. Menu is big, but stick to the core for the best experience. Breakfast special is a great deal, but only weekdays. Also, there's a claw machine. I mean... claw machine! Parking is usually not a problem. Look behind the taco place if you're desperate.

Martin Baker

Iconic Culver City restaurant worthwhile for everyone.
