We offer you all the reviews of real people who are using the services and products of Chin Chin West Hollywood (Restaurant) in the state of California.
As of day the firm gets a rating of 3.9 stars out of 5 and the rating was based on 202 reviews.
As you can see its rating is very good, and it is based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we can think that the assessment is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they are pleased, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to place opinions when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant belongs to the category of Chinese restaurant.
This is a most memorable event as it was with a smaller group of people. There were many portions they put out I lost track how many there were. The sake and sushi paired so well. I didn't have a good first impression of sake at another place I went to but so glad the chinchin crew was able to change my mind! I really enjoyed the sparkling champagne they provided. The staff was animated and very knowledgeable regarding the food and drinks. Stephen and coongie were very dedicated to the food they served. I loved being able to talk to them about the food. The service was also great as they were so attentive and made sure we had enough to drink. I'm never let down by Katie's events !
Overpriced food with no flavor. Hubby went in for food to go. He ordered a Tsing Tao which was $7 + $2 to open it. The shrimp fried rice was flavorless, the fish was mushy and flavorless the Mongolian beef was decent. Prices were high our total bill was $54.00 for small portion sizes. Will never go here again.
Food is good, with great portions.
Good food. Too hot inside the restaurant the day I was there.
Always so darn good.
So good.
Gluten free friendly, free refills on ice tea, fantastic customer service!!
Been going to this spot since High School... still great food!
this place is great! love it
I love this place. Really good Chinese food specially their Chinese Chicken Salad. Outdoor seating is a plus. Sometime you may run into celebrities here. Gloria Estefan was once seating right behind me.
Yuck - service is horrible -- Food taste like cardboard ... chicken is under cooked. ( if chicken) and many of us Got sick. Do NOT eat Here!!!!
Definitely not like it used to be
Went there for my birthday dinner like I do every birthday and the last 2 have been terrible. My cousin waited 40 minutes for his orange chicken to be brought out because they cooked a batch and didn't like it so they remade it. Then my chicken chow mein noodles were over sauced, gooey, and not how they used to taste2 or 3 years ago. Mayve a new chef or new reciepe but it isnt the same. Chin Chin used to be one of my favorite restaurants but it looks like that'll have to change and I'll be having my future birthday dinners at a different restaurant.
Favorite Chinese restaurant in the country!
Proper Dumplings!
Delicious and great service!!!
Went to this Chinese restraunt last night and I use the term loosely. For restraunt prices it was not worth it food messed up 3 times food came out bit by bit with items we had not even ordered and items not even turning up whilst sitting on metal uncomfortable bucket seats on stools made for large than my 6 foot son. Apologises thrown at us as stuck on a recording loop . So I f you wish for a good restraunt with great service don't go to chin chin very disappointed
immediate thought when coming back after 15+ years - is this still here? response - it shows its age....big-time
Terrible food and even worse service.
My father use to take me here as a little girl. It was always a good friendly place with excellent food.
Located in the sunset strip plaza area so free parking in the lot behind the restaurant, good food and service, great value for money, they do get busy sometimes so might have to wait to be seated or served, good part is there are lots of options around if you need to change plans, have been here multiple times and tried different things off the menu, no complaints!
La comida es perfecto y justo a tiempo
We eat at all the Chin Chin locations on a regular basis. Tonight our favorite dish, Kung Pao Wann was not prepared correctly. We let the manager know of the problem and it was quickly corrected with a brand new dish that was so delicious. The patio seating is fantastic. Thank you Chin Chin!
Very good food but with your entrées they don't give you a ride I guess it's a texting thing but in Houston they always give you rice with your entrées we had to ask for rice but it was still delicious
Yum. Get the Chinese chicken salad.
Good food
Waited over 20 mins after being seated at a table with my wife ready to order but was never greeted by a server. Stood up and left without them even noticing we never got served. Place wasnt even busy, explains why. Also couple seated after us were served and given drinks.
Chin Chin has been a favorite since the early 90’s and am addicted to the Chinese Chicken Salad–a classic! Shout out to our server, Steven, during our April visit. Best service we’ve experienced at any restaurant in years. Great family time!
"A beautiful atmospheric restaurant with excellent food." Take the time to sit and eat. You won't regret it.
Always wonderfully delicious. My friend and I.
So so
Ahi trabajando limpiando zapato de lo climate
this restaurant has been a long time favorite of mine! the food is consistently delicious and filling. i especially enjoy the "dim sum and then some" menu option. it lets you have "a little of this, and a little of that". don't miss the chocolate covered fortune cookies!
Excellent server, hot and tasty food, great location!
solid chinese food with the easiest and best pickup situation available. great parking and its own lower-rear storefront for quick in and out. not a bad view either back there
I used to LOVE this location and have been coming here since I was a teenager. However I will NEVER EVER eat here again! The food was HORRIBLE the last time I visited and they stopped serving the ribs we have loved for years. I even celebrated my birthday at this location a few years ago but it has gone way downhill both the service and the food. My family and I now will ONLY go the Beverly Hills location. The food and service are way, way better. I have to say the location at Sunset Plaza needs new management and new chefs. I frequented this location so often through the years. I remember every renovation. I used to go when they cooked out front and the food was delicious. I'm sad to say my favorite restaurant is now one of the worst.
I'm surprised this place is not 4 stars and higher. We were served by very friendly, but not overly annoying staff. The food was reasonably priced for the location, very tasty, and good portions. The wines selection is not extensive, but the wine I got was very good and very reasonably priced. Thanks to our waitress, Nili!
The spot since 6th grade, before the poshness. Chicken salad, veggie dumplings, mango tea and the cherry blossoms at sunset over the pacific design center. PRICELESS
Food was over priced and wasnt that special to me. I had the orange chicken.
My wife and I had our first date at the Chin Chin in Brentwood in 1987, and this Sunset location was a common date night for us (from Lakewood!) In the 1990s. Stopped there to get takeout last night for a dear friend in the area needing to a lift in spirits... Seemed like a good idea and, frankly, served to be a great centerpiece for dinner with him and his son. For those of you that don't know Chin Chin, as it was back then, it's a casual dim sum/moving-towards-fusion restaurant that, at least in our book, really marked itself for consistency as well as good quality. Certainly not just for us, but the Chinese chicken salad is a well-earned staple. I'll go back, maybe even for the next 30 years, as long as the sands still flow for me that long.
We searched for a Chinese restaurant and came across this one, staff was dismissive. Do not order the lemon chicken, its two pieces of chicken fried to death over some rabbit lettuce. How is that Chinese?
(Translated by Google) Super-abundant meals. Highly recommended (Original) Súper abundantes las comidas. Muy recomendable
One of my favorite spots in the Sunset Plaza!!!!
Chinese, vegetarian friendly, gluten free options.
This place is one of the best restaurants in Hollywood. The food come fast, consistent and always tastes great.
mediocre but cheap.
Orange chicken is the best. Peanut noodles with chicken is delish!
Messed up my to go order on Postmate. Ok, it happens. Called. They said 20 minutes for the correct order. Drove over. 20 minutes came and went. I sat there for a hour waiting for my order. Manager was informed of my situation but he was very unprofessional about resolving it. Finally received my order...wrong again!!!!! Too tired and hungry to fight at this point. I’ll just never be back.
I ordered orange chicke. Large order cist 17 $ and beef brocolli cost 18$ plus summer sprong rolls . I only get very tiny amount of food for 64$ total of my order via uber eats.. i rip off never again and 40mins delayed.. whay a joke.. make.me.made you should close
Horrible. Ordered a vegetable sushi roll for 14 dollars. This is what i got. 6 small pieces of some trashy sushi. On the phone he Said it would at least 8 pieces.
I hate to give poor reviews. I am hoping that the management of Chin Chin reads this. By far-- the worst food I've ever had in LA. The steamed white rice was undercooked and tasted like the rice boiled in bags that you buy in the grocery store. The spring rolls were beyond awful and tasteless. The chicken gift wrap app was awful. The tangerine chicken on a scale of 1 to 10-- I am being nice here was a 1. The wait staff were all lovely. I love to walk from my apartment to sunset, but made the wrong decision eating here last night. I hope management reads this and takes this to heart.
Classic Chinese food
Never disappoints. Reliable, consistent menu options. Best Chinese chicken salad in town. Sezuan dumplings rule. Friendly, attentive service always. Easy parking lot. What's not to love?
Love this place. It needs a serious remodel, but most of the food is excellent. If you can get passed the drab interior, the Peanut Noodles are Delicious !!! If you sit outside you’ll have a much better experience !!! Come on Chin, spend a few dollars and fix up the joint !!!!
Food is Amazing they have Great Customers Services And that was the last place I have dinner with my Best Friend Doug RIP for my birthday.
I recently went to Chin Chin to pick up my phone order. I can't say how the service really is if you go to the sit down portion...but I feel like their service in the togo/pick up area is lacking. I was craving soup and decided why not spend some money and get yourself a delicious soup. I ordered the hot and sour soup and then the beef chow fun noodles. These two items alone was over $30. This is something I definitely am not okay with...the price point for their food is ridiculous. I called and they let me know it would be at least 45 minutes for my order to be ready... Anyway aside from the price and the time...when I went to pick up the food...you have to go to the "back area" or downstairs around the side....that's where the Togo food is. After finally getting to the pick up area...there wasn't anyone to help me. I had to wait around for someone to come and assist. Anyway aside from that the food was decent. Nothing amazing nothing terrible. I have to say...unless someone really wants to eat chin chin....I don't think I'll ever go back...at least not if I'm paying for it.
W. Sunset Blvd.‘s in the vogue atmosphere of West Sunset Boulevard star-studded with awesome Mediterranean/Asian cuisine with a California twist. Great service great atmosphere and most importantly in west Hollywood. But you know what I like best about HOLYWUDD? Me Rockn Rod Long
My top place for tasty Chinese food. service is always awesome even when they have a full house. the staff was sociable and attentive. the bill was good for how much you get.
Great food, service and ambiance. Chinese and sushi.
Best food ever good balance of quality /price and service
Friendly staff and a nice space to eat your lunch in. But the food was just kind of blah. Nothing wrong with it, but certainly nothing special. Prices are a little on the high side for the quality of food being served. Most the food was bland and reminded me of chain restaurant food. Yes, its fun to eat in the Sunset Plaza, but I wish the food was up to par with the surroundings.
This restaurant is an "institution". The food is very tasty and the portions are generous for most dishes. The staff is friendly. There is both inside and outdoor dinning. Also free parking.
This places lives up to it's reputation. Had the Dim Sum & more...a choice of 3 half size dishes. This was a fantastic way to have a taste of several items. Our waiter was entertaining and very helpful.
Great location! Eat on the patio to people and car watch.
My wife used to eat there 20+ years ago. She couldn’t wait to get back there for the Chinese chicken salad. It was amazing as she remembered and turned me on to a fantastic dinner. Worth 5 stars all the way!
Got food poisoning. I've eaten there before without a problem. Lately though i ordered take out, and after i ate about half my meal my stomach started getting really upset and i had a fever. I thought it was me, so i put the leftovers away. As soon as i had another bite the next day, same result. Definitely it's the food. Something in it is bad. Excuse me while i go throw up now. But seriously, they should lose their "A" rating.
General Tso's Chicken with white meat rocks.
Worst service
Fantastic food ! great sevice.
Great
Little over priced for the quality of food.
One star for the food being hot and one for the service. Food is gross and not worth the price by any means.
The food- mediocre!!! Service-- decent. I love that I could sit outside and checkout the scene while eating. If you're a tourist like me in LA, take what I wrote under consideration.
Stopped by on a day trip to LA, highly recommend the gift wrapped chicken and the hokey-pokey roll!
Love this place!!!!
Do you like chinese food? You should try this place, there are a lot of different plates. It is a little bit over price, it is not a good cost benefits. There is a park.
Delicious Chinese food. The Hollywood location has outdoor seating
Good
Great food! Great service!
The food quality is but the service is slow and expensive
The staff and service were excellent! I had the lemon chicken and it was at best ok. My son enjoyed the beef and broccoli, however I did not like the flavor or cook on the beef. My husband loved the sushi. It was all way over priced for the quality of food in my opinion.
good place to get asian fusion.
My family, son and I love this place. Great food great service. They cook your food Cooked to order. We can't get enough of this place. Love it. We've been going now for about 5 years now.
Always good food, huge portions and friendly staff. We've never had any complains here.
Ok food, good service.
Whenever I am craving a Chinese chicken salad and happen to be in LA, I make way to Chin Chin in Sunset Plaza. Free parking behind retail stores. They also have yummy spring rolls. Grab a seat outside for some fun people watching and sometimes a celebrity siting. Dogs allowed in outdoor seating area.
I forgotten how good the food was at Chin Chin at sunset plaza. He start off with three parking. Then you can sit outside on the street and order from a very wide menu, get great service, watch the pretty people walk by on sunset. It's a fun LA experience and the food is really good
Don’t order pick up there’s no one in front desk and no attention
I love the food I go there almost every Sunday
love it
Was craving Chinese food and found this place in West Hollywood based on reviews. The staff were super friendly and attentive. We ordered the spring rolls and pork wontons. Wontons were good, but the spring rolls were mediocre. For dinner we had the Mongolian Beef and Orange Chicken with fried rice. Both were pretty good, but the orange chicken definitely stood out. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate cake and fortune cookies. The cake was ok,nothing to write home about. The cookies are made locally and brought in (so not fresh to the store). They are really good though! I'd probably come back.
Bad service, food not as good as the Studio City location
has really gone downhill recently.
One of the few authentic hand drawn noodle places in Philly! The hand drawn noodles are thinner and shaven noodles have a denser, more chewy texture.Unique Selling Points -Really reasonable prices for their portions. You'll get lots of noodles! But not a lot of meat. I think it costs extra for more meat fast service: no BS, if you're hungry and need some food ASAP.
Horrible service and food.
Start with the location...excellent. Service was superb and the menu was extensive and had creative surprises.
Always consistent, menus changed more variety...
This is my first review EVER about a restaurant and all I can say is GO TO PANDA EXPRESS! I'm not kidding you will enjoy it WAYYYYYYYYYY better than this place. Prices are ridiculous for the quality of food! How do these business maintain open!????
We went to Chin Chin on Sunset on Sunday night, and despite the restaurant being half full and there being plenty of waiters- service was very slow. It may have been an off night. Because the food is so tasty, we will opt to go back to the Brentwood location next time.
Way to expensive but the food is okay
(Translated by Google) Perfect! (Original) Perfecto!
It may be a fine Chinese restaurant last time I went it was okay
california-asian food with a special twist that can be delicious or a disappointment.
Tasty food on Sunset.
Very plain Chinese food. No better than Panda Express
When you arrive convenient parking in a rear lot. You walk into a quaint, modern, classy and clean restaurant. A tall brunett hostess came to our table in fishnet stalkings with a super short skirt. I have to say her trashy look was NOT apealing as I was eating. Her attire should keep with the presentation of the restaurant. We then had a server who was very nice. The food, dumplings, chicken salad, BBQ and chicken fried rice were very good. The portions leaned to the small side but i will not complain as I left full. I will return to give it one more try and hopefully be met by a well rounded, classy and good eating establishment. I would have given them four stars but the hostess did play apart in my rating for service and atmosphere.
Amazing food but pricey.
THE BEST OF THE BEST!!! EXCELLENT FOOD!! EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! EEEXCELLENT!!!!!
Great place to eat.
Servers are amazing .. especially Antonio!
I really enjoyed the food. The broccoli beef was amazing. Had a large order but they took care of it quickly and correctly.
Pleasantly surprised! The food was amazing.
They didn't invent the Chicken Salad but they sure make the best one.
Best food i ever had true story no lie i will be back.
Bad service, bad food
has it gotten sort of trashy, or is it me?
I ordered for pick up at 18pm and got the information my food will be ready im 20min I got to store after 20 min. The attended called the kicthen e and said: is not ready I canceled my order
Family style ordering, good food a bit different then American Asian food. A good blend of all Asian cuisine.
Even the rice is awful. Eggplant have no taste, only the chicken was correct. Avoid avoid avoid.
Great food.
