The food was pretty good, nothing too special. My boyfriend felt like his fried chicken sandwich needed a bit more salt to make the flavor pop. The sides were actually quite yummy. He had the potato salad and I had fries. The vibe is overall pretty cute.

The burgers are always solid yet I feel the price is a little steep. They serve hard alcohol and have a surprisingly deep selection of whisky/bourbon at rather reasonable prices. The service can be hit or miss. On my recent visit our server was absent both in presence and in mind as we had repeat parts of our order some time after we placed it. I did note that during our initial order our server didn’t write anything down. Hmm...

My friends and I went as a party of 6. We only waited 20 minutes to be sat and were able to order right away. It took a good hour for our food to come out (Burgers and fries) and half of it was missing or wrong while the people around us who were sat 20 minutes after us were getting their food. I believe the waitress forgot to put our order in. She offered reasons why our food was taking forever (call outs and short staffed) but we watched everyone around us getting their food. No one in our party complained at all and she asked if we all wanted desert on the house. After taking our pie orders she came back to the table and said “just to be clear, I meant only one desert for free.” In the end, the food was great, but the service was pretty horrible.

So good. Milkshakes are awesome! Burgers are great, and I tried the spicy chicken sandwich. It's very good also. It's the breaded one, but not too heavy. Parking here is tough, so I suggest the hotel valet, it's not very much with validation from Cassell's.

They know how to make burgers. Not heavy not greasy perfect tasty burgers. I like the side sauces they offer but not needed. Even the Vegan burger looked good. Stop by here for classic goodness Hamburgers!

Arguably the best burger restaurant in LA. You can't miss here. Great corner location on 6th St. Always clean and busy, you can not go wrong eating there. The burgers are ground on site and always fresh. The staff is competent and attentive. In my opinion, as a Chef and restaurant manager, the burgers are hands down the greatest. Although, management seems a little lost.

Cassell's may he the absolute best burger in LA. If you want a classic style burger (no crazy ingredients or flavors) cooked to perfection, then come here. Cassell's has an amazing vibe. This hip, yet old school, feeling restaurant gives off a classic diner feel. And they have menu items to match. House made sodas, milkshakes, and pies are all phenomenal, DONT MISS THE BANANA DULCE DE LECHE PIE! I could talk about Cassell's all day, but just know it's the best. You won't be disappointed, even my vegetarian friend thinks they have the best vegan burger in town.

FRIES AND PIES!! We got seated outside on a busy Saturday night for a party of 5. The waitress was nice enough to bring us an extra chair. We ordered the strawberry shake, chocolate peanut butter pie, and bacon cheese fries. AH-MAZING!

I believe I ordered the biggest burger they had, a 1/2 lb Shack Burger ($8.75), with bacon ($1.50), jalapeños ($0.50), and an egg ($1.25) for a total of about $12. friend ordered something lighter and smaller than mine, but I was a hungry monster that day. Eating the resulting food utopia was overwhelming. I wanted to cry, scream, and laugh to the heavens because this was the best burger I had ever had. I was also really, really hungry after not eating for over 8 hours so that may have had a bit of an edge on my perception of my food. But wow, their Shack sauce was amazing, the meat was cooked beautifully, and sometimes I still dream about eating this burger. Give this place a chance!!

Cassell's just don't make delicious burgers yet, they also make delicious pies that I love. I love their cheeseburger and blackberry pie with bacon cheese fries it was so good and drinks were not icy. The cheeseburger has a well-melted cheese with hugging the juicy patty and topped with its fixins. Very satisfying. The pie was also delicious, it was not very sweet and the blackberry flavor is very distinct. Highly recommended!

Excellent service and the food was great! They make everything fresh in house and grind their own hamburger meat. But $27 for a bacon mushroom cheese burger, cherry coke (grenadine made in house) and onion rings was a little pricey (everything ala cart). I'll be back to try the pie but I'll order differently for my meal next time.

Truly one of the best burger place in LA. In-n-out does not cooperate. Although it's a little pricey, the taste of the burger is phenomenal. It will leave you coming back for more and more and more. Pies are just as good as the burgers.

I did not expect much of Cassell’s after my younger sister had recommended it to my Mother and I. Despite this, I felt adventurous and accepting to whatever, due to the fact that I was running on an empty stomach. Upon arrival, I was surprised to see a cute, authentic establishment that evoked numerous memories from my childhood. Once I entered the door, I was greeted by the kind staff and treated with respect. I decided to order the B’Fast Sandwich, which was possibly the best breakfast food that I had ever tasted in my lengthy life. If I were you, I would definitely decide to have a meal at Cassell’s, because you really can’t go wrong when you choose Cassell’s.

This place has an inviting and laid back atmosphere. It has a diverse crowd. It is small so it fills up at peak hours. The food is very good and filling. A little pricey but definitely worth it. The staff is warm and friendly. You might also spot a celebrity from time to time.

Everything is good but not great, not much flavor in burger, all I tasted was cheap lettuce and lots of bun that took away from burger. I should have left it off maybe better review. Patty melt was again good but not the type that oh I have to come back. It's good to eat once or so if you are in area and hungry. Fries are good.The service is good and very helpful.

Delicious! Fun atmosphere with plenty seating. Has outdoor patio seating as well as indoors, which has two sets of bar seats. Breakfast is served all day, certain items. Happy hour is 4-7. The TV non-stop streams black and white films. Yes you can order food to go and that have a restroom in the back.

Overall a good burger. The hamburger patty had a nice thickness, was flavorful, cooked to perfection. I ordered my patty well done, it wasn't dry or overcooked. However I witheld the 5th star because of the brioche bun. The bun was to thick and heavy for the size of the patty. Great service.

This place was phenomenal. The food, the service, the atmosphere, the wait staff, everything. We tried 3 kinds of pie and all were amazing, each in their own way. Their sweet potato fries had a light cinnamon flavor that was delightful. The table next to us got onion rings that looked delicious. The fries and rings are big enough to share, so one side was good for 3 of us. All their sauces are made in house. If you are in the area it will be worth your time and your stomach will thank you!

Amazing! I try something new every time. I pick the sausage and when it comes time to picking the topics, I leave it up to the guys who work there. I figure they eat the sausages and have experimented with the many many sides they offer. This way I know i will always have the best tasting sausage EVER. This never fails. After you pick up your meat you can head next door to the Toranado and get an awesome brew. What an superb way to spend a Saturday!

I don't even know where to start. I'll keep it super simple. I live 30 miles away and come here almost every other Friday. I personally build my burger and get the herb mayo instead of regular! I love how everything is local and organic! If your lucky and get there when they have their seasonal hazel nut milkshake. You'll come back just for that! Best service as well!

Okay so the burgers are over priced $11 and up for a burger without any fries or beverages. I could see if the burgers were excellent, but their honestly just alright. The pie also is ridiculous priced. Honestly this place isnt worth the cost, what it lacks in flavor it makes up with excellent customer service. Well lit, parking is hard to find, you'll need to look on the street or one block over 7-10 bucks.

Cassell's Hamburgers is a good go to for lunch, especially with the kids. My little one had a basic burger and fries. I had the turkey burger, which was quite delicious. They have homemade sodas. I had prickly pear, which was so so. My son had pineapple, which was yummy! I wish they had not had the TV going, as I had to move tables twice so my kid would stop staring at it!

Burgers are solid and straightforward. They are a good amount of meat, usually 1/3 pound. I was a fan most of the desserts. There is a specialty milkshake, and I recommend asking for the cookies n cream milkshake, one of the best shakes I've had. The pies are all delicious.

Cassell's is a go to neighborhood favorite. They always have exceptional service - every single one of their servers is top notch. I have -never- had a bad service experience here, and have eaten here between once a month and four times a month over the past year and a half. The food is great, it is affordably priced, and tasty as can be. The kitchen is on their game as well. Excellent pies, they serve La Colombe coffee, they have an awesome bar and bartenders, and I live for the next time I'll eat a Breakfast Burger. It's a bit busy on Sunday mornings for the brunch crowd, but is well worth the wait. I love this place!

Visiting LA from Oklahoma, this place made me feel right at home! Wes took our order and was very inviting and friendly. I noticed the armadillo and the Lone Star beer and asked if he had Oklahoma/Texas roots, and he did, letting us know he was from Texas originally. The vibe of this place is amazing, retro diner feel with the old drive through awning and juke box playing classic jams. My boyfriend and I ordered the western burger with tater tots. The food was absolutely delicious, the burger was cooked to perfection and tots crispy! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for the best burger in town!

Amazing burgers here. I made the mistake of ordering a double, it was too big to eat without making a mess of things, really juicy burger with great flavor. I also got an order of fries, they were decent nothing to rave about. Didn't try try anything else but, the burger alone was worth another visit.
