We stopped in this restaurant because of its insanely cheap price and large menu selection. Although the quality of the food and staff friendliness was decent the cleanliness of the restaurant overall made for a very nerve-wracking experience. The floors tables and utensils were sticky. Some of the less popular food items have been out for several hours. Items like the condiment dispenser clearly have been out for so long that they were past sticky and just crusty. I would have been fine paying $2 more per head if they hired a janitor would have left a positive review. Does anyone know how long it takes ketchup to go from gummy sticky to hard and crusty?

Me and my family ate here tonight after a night at Disneyland and it was excellent!! There is such a large variety of yummy foods for everyone which tasted awesome! Plus, the staff are very friendly and the place is very clean! THE PRICE IS AMAZING!! Who would spend double the price for one burger and chips when you actually have unlimited chips and food here as well as UNLIMITED DRINKS!!!!! I definitely recommend eating here, it is great for everyone so amazing for the price

The skin on the gravy was almost a 1/4" thick. Most the food was cold. The price on their website was not what were were charged, it was more. Which was not worth it.

We went for breakfast as my son was nagging us the whole time. To put it bluntly....it was bland and not very appetising. The bacon was good, but very greasy. Service was not overly friendly. I don't normally write reviews, but felt it was needed. I would have been happier with McDonald's.

Great place to eat. I bring my family here Everytime we are visiting Disneyland. Captain kids is a convenient location because it's right in front of Disneyland entrance. Staff is amazing and so is management who compt is drinks since we come so often. Food is great and so is the price

If i could give them 0 stars I would !!!! I LITERALLY PAYED $50 for a family of 4 am so disgusted by the food literally sitting there for hrs without any workers moving the food or cleaning around it ! Place is literally falling apart and the location that’s it’s I mean right I front of DISNEYLAND I MEAN COME ON am pretty sure this place can do better I ask the young Lady in the front for more fried chicken and waited literally for the 2 hrs that i was there the same old left over peace was still there from when I arrived and asked for more with no new chicken coming in , same of the rest of the food that was just sitting there THE POTATO SALAD THAT THEY HAD WAS SO NASTY TASTED LIKE RUBBER I WONDER IF MANAGER WOULD EAT THAT ? Buffet was not stocked. The food was extreamly bland and a lot of the food seemed to have been sitting out for hours and hours. I wouldn't waste your money here, go next door to IHOP or even McDonalds and I'm not joking. Worst buffet I have been to. $80 wasted

Unfortunately our experience wasn't fantastic. The buffet concept is great, however the execution was average. Much of the food was luke warm to cold and not much there. We arrived at approx 7.45pm. After a while new dishes were served which was great. I think they need to keep the food coming and keep it hot.

Don't do it. The food has been sitting out and its dried out. Wanted a good meal for dinner but was not even sub par. Save yourself from making the same mistake we did. Read other reviews. Sad because they have a great location. Need to make it better and at the least get something you can actually eat!

Horrible food horrible service. Wife ordered something off the menu. The mashed potatoes tasted like dirt. We told them and they said oh well. They forgot to bring her toast and when they did it was like they wiped up the kitchen sink with it because it was so soggy. Would never recommend this place.

Seems to be aimed at Mexicans. Spicy breakfasts. Definitely not for us. I wouldn't go back. Mexicans on the table next to us seemed to be really enjoying it though. Not a huge selection of food and not high quality what is there. You have too pay for the car park at $25 i think it was if you don't eat there so if you pull in just to have a look you've either got to eat or pay the $ to get out the car park so you are stuffed. If this wasn't the case we would have gone next door to IHOP after walking in and looking.

To be honest this place was beyond disappointing. For the price me and my daughter paid (32 for two people plus drinks) I was expecting something along the lines of Hometown buffet. But no the price is for its location (Across the street from Disneyland) The food was bland, left out for a long time, dry, and/or just missing. The atmosphere did not feel pirate themed, and the place was not appealing. For the price you pay here go to hometown and save a few bucks

Not worth the 15 bucks for dinner. The Buffet was horrible and it looks the food had been sitting there for hours. The drink station was on the opposite side of the restaurant where we were sitting. The salad was turning brown and wilting. Like I said not impressed at all.

It is a perfect restaurant. You feel like dining at home. The staff have smiling faces and quite considerate. The server is a giggling person. It is clean and tidy, and it is also quite easy to find some gifts for friends and family.

Very small budget. Not kept hot or refreshed. The whole time we were in the restaurant the pizza was never changed or a new one brought out. The ham was dried out. The skin fell off the dried chicken it has sat for so long. No very clean. Has to ask the server for silverware after we got our food. Never going back. Not worth burning 45$

Don't waste your money. Eat at your own risk. From the roaches to the food it is all horrible. There were two employees when we went there at dinner time and the janitor was cooking the food. We walked in hungry, but just looking at the food ruined it for us. It was clearly not fresh and my husband said the ham in the macaroni salad was fermented. They were out of most of their limited options and eating there caused severe diarrhea in one member of our group.

Personally, i would suggest you skip this place. We paid $50 for a family of four, which would have been fine, but there were multiple dirty plates in the “clean” stack, moldy tomatoes in the salad bar and cold chicken in the “hot” buffet. Also the coleslaw was brown and the hostess was mildly surly. Go to the IHOP next door.

Everything at this facility is absolutely disgusting. There is employees and chefs wearing no gloves. The desert had a laundry detergent smell and taste. French fries leave disgusting after taste. Employees sneezing and not rewashing and picking noses. No mature adult does this. Definitely, do not go to this eatery.

Don't be turned off by the discount Disney decor, this place is a wonderful buffet! They have a nice variety of food and most of it is consistently above your average buffet spot/chain. The staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant is a leaning heavily on the Disney image decor wise but it's nothing that'll ruin a dining experience. If you have a picky kid, need a lot of food for a reasonable price, or just like buffets, this is definitely a restaurant for you!

During our Disney vacation we decided to try out the breakfast buffet at Captain Kidd's. We were disappointed with the food and state of the restaurant. We were questioning if the buffet bar was up to code. I would recommend skipping Kidd's and going next door to IHop.

It's a cheap buffet, they're not supposed to be great tasting. The location is amazing right by Disneyland. Like the other reviews my kids loved the macaroni and cheese. It appeared home made and was better than most I've tasted. Good place to fill up before going in the park. Now this isn't 5 star best place in the world to eat, it's a 5 star when compared to other buffets. I would put it as one of the best I've been forced to go to by my family.

Its a decent buffet. Definitely keep the salt and pepper handy, to add some sort of flavor. Basic dishes such as pizza, mac n cheese, spaghetti and mash potatoes for the kids. For adults ribs, chicken Alfredo(without the chicken), fish dishes(non specified at times),and some greasy Chinese food. Adults pay 14.99 not sure about children. Good for a cheap dinner by Disneyland.

The quality of the food is College Cafeteria. The selection is small, but very diverse food options. Expect some food to taste bland, but for the price what more can you expect? Went closer to closing time. We were charged 47 dollars for 2 adults and a child, including drinks. We were told we had to pay before going to sit down (which was fairly normal), but what we weren't told was that there was almost no food left, and that what was left was Obviously sitting out for hours. Needless to say, after a 50 dollar dinner we left hungry and had to go eat at Denny's..

If I could give this place -1 stars I would. It is ridiculously overpriced, and doesn’t have close to as many options compared to other buffets. The food looked and tasted like it has been sitting out for DAYS. Despite being under heat lamps some of the food was still cold and tasted like garbage. The plates looked like they were hardly washed and the fork they gave me was most definitely not washed. Whatever you do, DO NOT EAT HERE!! It is the biggest waste of money and honestly still wouldn’t recommend eating here even if it was a third of the price. To the few people wrighting good reviews of this place... Just left this place with a hungry family and $70 poorer. It is way over priced for the quality of food. We were afraid of getting food poisoning because the appearance of the food and unsanitary conditions so we just left and went next door. It ooked great from the outside but was overall very dissappointing. The floors were so sticky my foot literally slipped out of my shoes while it stayed attached to the floor! Sounds silly, I know, but it truly happened. The dishes and silverware were dirty still and the restrooms were filthy. The selection of food was poor as well as the quality....Don't waste your money.

Do I really have to give them one star to write a review. They should get a -4 Star for the garbage they call food. You have been warned. If in Anaheim, try the Golden Corral on State College and Lincoln. So many items to choose from. Golden Corral is a better bang for your buck.

This place is right across disney land . We decided to give it a try because the breakfast buffet price was so much cheaper than any other place nearby. They had fruit meat eggs and cereal. It's a very nice place with fun decorations. They have a small staff and didn't have all the items out but what was out was good. I think this is a great option it's better than just buying fast food because you get all you can eat and for 11 dollars plus 3 dollars for drink. Not bad . Try it .

I couldn't agree more with all the negative reviews. Although the location is in a great spot, directly across the street from disneyland...the food is bland, looks like it stays out for a while and sits, and not much variety - very basic choices... The staff is unfriendly, the dishes are dirty, bathrooms are dirty. The prices are cheap, but in this case you get what you pay for. My suggestion... Denny's is about a block away from this place... Walk the extra five minutes, get some good food and great service from them.

Do not waste your money here. The food quality is not worth the cost for the buffet. Our family of six cost nearly $90 (4 adults & 2 children - buffet and drinks) and nothing was great at all. Well except the watermelon and honeydew, but that was natures doing on that part. Many dishes questionable on the amout of time they had been sitting on the buffet. We went during dinner hour (6pm on a weekend) they had a steady pace of customers who also were eating the buffet. There is not one dish I can say stood out as a highlight. Everything was edible so it wasn't like the taste was so horrible we couldn't eat. It was just very mediocre. The desserts were very unappealing. Fake Ice cream and no taste mini cakes. I could of paid way less for something more satisfying at one of the neighbouring eateries.

This restaurant was friendly, and convenient in location as it is accross the street from Disneyland. The parking was a bit confusing, as you get a parking gate ticket from the hotels parking next door and validate it at the restaurant, but just fine once we figured it out. There was something for everyone to eat, from salads, pizza, Mac and cheese, tacos, to Asian food. It wasn't high quality food but the price is much easier ( about $12 per person) than the ( $50 per person) price of a buffet at Disneyland. For us it was a good meal before going to the Disneyland parks.

I also find it strange that the silver wear is on the opposite side of the restaurant meaning you have to walk past and through every one just for a fork and knife. in their defence that's where the soda fountains are as well

The pizza was over cooked, chicken in the alfredo didn't taste like chicken, fried chicken was only bones little chicken, orange chicken was mainly breading with no chicken to be found. My youngest couldn't stand the spaghetti with meat balls, they had a weird smell.

This is the best buffet we have been to! The orange shrimp is amazing & BBQ pork is the best . They have so many items to chose from and it is in a perfect location to eat before & after the park. So it was $36 all together for me and my girlfriend (drinks were $6 each, they didn't tell us). At first I was a bit upset at how poor the food and atmosphere was, but eventually I just saw it as so hilariously bad that it helped me enjoy the experience in a sad kind of way.

Captain Kidds Family Restaurant As long as you go to Captain Kidd’s knowing what to expect you should have an enjoyable experience. This is NOT a five star buffet. This is a budget buffet and the quality and taste are reflected in that price. Nothing is bad, but you also shouldn’t expect anything to be of gourmet quality either. I think they do a job offering a wide mix of food for a reasonable price. Service is usually decent but again, don’t expect the 5 star experience.

Definitely stay away! Selection was to say the least not what was on the display menu up front. Paid $150 for party of 6 kids and 4 adults. All they had available was spaghetti and dried up chicken fajitas. The mashed potatoes were empty and the rest of the items on the menu were none existent. So disappointed will never eat here again.

2 stars for the wide selection of food and for the friendly staff, I had the chance to visit twice in one day and the ham had been out and looked nearly the same as when I had left 6 hrs prior, I only noticed this because I contemplated grabbing a certain slice. For a second I thought I had short arms, but reaching for some of the food like the salad or cucumbers across the glass shield...man...how have they not fixed that....

Do not eat here unless you check what they have available first trays were mostly empty and food was not even warm we asked if they would be restocking their selection of items they said yes the new items they brought out was hot and looked good but taste was ok so it looks like timing is the key for this place if you happen to go in when they are bringing out fresh food it’s ok but you must look first

Dont come here. This place is horrible. Very dirty, food that taste like its been in the fridge for a week, the juices taste like dirty dish water. Horrible service. They sell rotten ice cream and we told the manager and he avoided us. All the food and dressings were mixed up. And this buffet is for kids and it doesnt even have a changing table in the bathroom. Its disgusting. Dont come here. The apperance fools.

Terrible, they advertise a build your own hamburger there wasnt any type of hamburger, they also advertise a full salad bar haha that was a joke. The food was cold and not a very good selection. Wont be back. Very disappointed.

Stay away from this place. My nine-year-old daughter was even scared to try the fish that have been sitting there for hours on the buffet. LOL. Don't get sucked in by the clever advertising and marketing. Find a different place to eat

This place is just nasty. Got food poisoning from here. Must of been the soup that had everything from previous days including spaghetti in it. I took one sip and knew it was no good. 30 min later im barfing all over and cramping stomach pain. This place is not good at all. Food is very old. DONT EAT HERE!!

It is ok. More food for your buck. But is expensive for the quality of the food. Some of the food had sat for quite a bit of time and was dry or over cooked. Good mashed potatoes. They were able to seat 11 people easily. Kid friendly. Quick, because it is a buffet.

Tasty food and a kid-friendly selection. The prices were reasonable and the staff was friendly. I'm not sure if it was the time of day that we got there, but they were out of quite a few things and not making more. We got there around 10 a.m. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this spot for families with kids looking to fill up before a day in the park.

GROSS! Filthy. Dirty. Vulgar. Unclean. If you are looking for a little food poisoning this place will do. If you have a food allergy stay away. It's not a buffet so much as a trough that they dump food on top of. There were globs of taco meat in the pudding, it took 14 plates off the stack to find a "clean" one. The lettuce in the salad was brown as was pickle brine. I could go on and on.

It sucks. The buffet style food was obviously old and needed to be freshly remade. Honestly some of the entrees seem to be way past healthy eating. Some stuff were just bad like their freshly opened 99 cent can of almost ripe peaches. Gotta say their ribs were good and falling off the bone. That's what you get steaming them all day I guess.

Excellent value. Lots of choices for the whole family. The name threw me off a bit as I thought this would be a place for kids. Duh, but taking a break from Disney across the street and I was kind of biased. It was satisfying and delicious. They had ribs!! Clean restrooms and friendly staff. They even have a souvenir setup where I bought mickey ears for my family which were way less expensive than the ones inside the park. Highly recommend this place for lunch.

This place is mediocre at best, and disgusting at worst. Chicken nuggets are dry, most of the other meat was either super soaked in grease, or burnt. The only thing really good and well-cooked about the food was the fish, which I had two big portions of. No sprinkles or other toppings for the ice cream? I had to ask for silverware, it wasn’t just out for use like most buffets. Soda was flat. Most of the stuff in the fruit bar looked like it came out of a can... Never eating here again.

Went for breakfast to celebrate a birthday and such awful food there wasn’t even any food. The food tased very bad. This place is not a place to go to. Such an awful experience never going back. Also paid 25 dollars for a parking !!! And didn’t even last an hour in the parking.

We really enjoyed this buffet. It's basic homestyle, nothing is overly seasoned. Lots of selection and both myself, husband and son we're satisfied. It's right across from the bus loop at Disneyland which is convenient when you need a break from the park food and the park in general. We found the restaurant to be clean and all the staff very pleasant. The dessert selection is minimal but they have soft serve ice cream so we didn't care.

Okay for price considering the area. Husband had the dinner buffet and thought it was great. We all had the breakfast buffet but it was overpriced for what was available. But then a lot of stuff was overpriced in this area so I guess I would go back if my choices were limited and we wanted something in walking distance.

Great variety of food for a relatively cheap price. I adored the sausage chunks and hashbrowns. Only thing I would avoid is the quesadillas, which are just wrap and thin cheese. Breakfast filled us up to the point of not needing anything else for the day.

Simply, we like it. Not everything in the buffet fits our taste profile, but there is plenty to enjoy. Plus, it's a great value for the area. I would suggest eating lunch so that you have the day to 'walk it off' at the park. The food can be filling (heavy). The salad bar was clean and the veges fresh/crisp. Plus, an ice cream machine for that ice cream cone 'to go' Oh, and don't forget to try the bread pudding with a dollop of whipped cream...it's surprisingly very good!

This was the worst place I have ever been to eat. The food was old and nasty-wilted lettuce, dried up meat. The place smelled bad. We ended up getting our money back and going to Panera.
