The view here is fantastic and the restaurant is cosy. We went around 2 PM during the week and it was not crowded at all. The prices are a little up there, depending on how exorbitant you want to get. However the burgers were delicious and we especially enjoyed the sweet potato fries as they were crisp and came hot out the fryer.

It's about what you'd expect from Union Square. Crowded, fun. Stuffy, cozy. Expensive, trendy. I give it four stars because our service was good and the food we actually ordered was probably worth what we paid, which isn't always what you get in this area. They also had a dessert burger which I thoroughly enjoyed, as pandering as it was.

The burgers are interesting and tasty and the views of Union Square are fantastic, especially at Christmas time. But oh wow...the prices. Three of us ordered poutine as a starter. It was kind of gross...really odd tasting. Our burgers we're good...I ordered the Southwest burger with jalapenos. Not bad. We didn't order any alcoholic beverages and finished with delicious milkshakes. After tip, the check came to $180. (And really, I secretly prefer In-n-Out burgers!)

I was here on March 23rd, after flying in from the East Coast. My GF who lives in Calif. took me here. We got there right when it opened. The food was good, but its definitely very over priced!! The service was terrible! We had to ask the waiter about our drinks and food. It took a very long time for our drinks and food to arrive. The waiter was not friendly. My GF didn't even want to tip him. However I did tip him. I would never recommend anyone to this restaurant. The waiter forget to give me back my credit card. Unfortunately I didn't noticed until I got back to my hotel and my GF had left to go to her home. I had to take an Uber back to the restaurant and pay $16 to get my credit card. I spoke to the mgr. Suzanne - who told me that it was my fault, and my responsibility to get my card back! She also told me that I was in a bad mood when I got to the restaurant! I was in shock how unprofessional a mgr could be. I had been flying since 3am! I am sure I looked tired! I take some responsibility, however, it is the Waiter's job - to give good service, and to give you back your credit card. I would highly recommend DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. Service is terrible, and the Mgr. is RUDE.

I have loved the barn for years, but a bit less now. Same open parking lot feel, but the actual cook house truck is looking ill. Needs a little sprucing up for sure. Secondly they started using clear plastic cartons for the meals and it's a big litter mess. If they sell out of an ingredient for your burger or frued pickles, you will be out of luck. That happens often. I'm less inclined.

We went to this place because It had 4.7 stars. The burgers were not cooked well , if that's how they serve it okay but they should have asked . How well we wanted it cooked. Ordered the Le "frog" burger. Asked waitress if soda is included and whether you can substitute salad for fries. Yes to both and no mention of additional charge. When the bill cam, got charged for both??? When we questioned the bill, was initially given only a credit for the soda but not the substitution. Had to ask again and finally got credit for both. IMO, are they trying to gouge me? Not sure, but surely not the way to do business

Best burger place ever. Kind of weird that it is inside of Macy's but it gives you something to do while you wait for a table. The burgers, fries and milkshakes are all off the hook. Some very unique options. We loved the skinny fries and spicy fries but we aren't fans of steak fries normally. The wings are great but over priced. You can't go wrong here.

I dont like burgers. I rarely eat them. We heard about burger barn and decided to take the kids. While I didnt plan to get one, I seen "Ethan allen" on the menu and it looked good, so I figured id try it. WOW. IT WAS AMAZING. I was never so thrilled about a burger in my life. Now maybe it was just a good pick on my part, but to make me- a burger hater- enjoy a burger so much, this place definitely deserves 5 stars. We will be back!

This place has a become a summer tradition in Jeffersonville. They have a wide variety of burgers to choose from. Careful with the Burgermeister Meister Burger. It is huge and a challenge to eat without making a complete mess. The fries are tasty and there are other items on the menu like mozzarella sticks. These guys definitely make one of the best burgers in Vermont. The burger barn is cash only. Seating is outside on picnic tables.

Recently, my wife and I arrived at Burger Bar a few minutes before opening. By opening time, we were joined by two other waiting couples. Twenty minutes later the restaurant gate was still closed and there were now ten customers waiting to enter (and at least six others had arrived and left upon seeing the restaurant not opening). In frustration, one of the waiting women shouted through the metal gate to the back of the restaurant "Is anyone here?" To this we heard the sound of laughter from the restaurant employees. The employees were mocking and laughing at us. Naturally everyone waiting, including me and my wife, were disgusted by this vile and rude behavior. At this point everyone left and vowed never to return, not only to Burger Bar, but to any Herbert Keller restaurant. As we were walking away, we all came to the conclusion that based on what we experienced, we would never want such disgusting people (such as those employed by Herbert Keller) touching our food. If you want to avoid being laughed at and made fun of (and whatever filthy thing they will do your food), try another restaurant. As you may have heard, San Francisco a few others to chose from.

My wife and I heard about this place, so we took a 30m drive out to give it a shot. It did NOT disappoint. Both of our burgers were fantastic. The grass-fed beef was delicious, the fries were cooked well, and the outside seating made this place feel right at home in Vermont. I would definitely recommend anyone nearby to come on over, and give this place a shot. It is cash only though, so plan ahead.

Absolutely the worst service and atmosphere ever! My 10yo and I were situated (crammed in) between two 8 tops. Both insane and drunk tourists. Because I’m a mom with a child doesn’t mean either of us have to put up with this for “gourmet” burgers. I can’t get over the one teen boy belched like no tomorrow before their food showed up and right before mine was placed. Like 18” from me. His mom did absolutely nothing! She just looked at the kids and said “who did that” but could tell by my face (I was facing her) that I was none too happy. The other tables kids were running amock while the parents were downing shots. Oh then they broke a glass and we’re continued to be served alcohol. WTH? Super loud. Crass. Annoying while I’m about to eat and then eat my $20 burger. Took forever to get my first glass of wine. Then didn’t get my 2nd until I was done with my food. Burger. Well done, super dry, no juice...asked for medium-well. No pink at all, just charred. Asked for skinny fries, received pub. Asked for aoli, received Ranch. Which I put on 1/2 my burger and bit into it to realize it wasn’t aoli. And I do NOT like ranch anything. Which I told our server. Took a good 10 min to get aoli, and then another 10 for my fries. Could only pick apart the 1/2 that had ranch. My sons funnel cake dessert fries were rubbery (over fried)...not fluffy like they should be. Fairs and boardwalks serve much tastier and cheaper versions. Unbelievable all around Nothing was taken off my bill. No one asked to re-fire my food (considering my burger was cold by when the fries arrived and 1/2 the burger was inedible with ranch all over it). Sure we had apologies for who we were crammed between...and the food mishaps.....but apologies only go so far. I’ve worked in the service industry and this would have gotten you fired at Houlihans in the early 90’ if you were spotted and performing this poorly. And the excuse of Santa Con means... nada...those 8 tops were families, not Santa Con goers. Why in the world would you serve the one table 3 more shots of tequila after it was obvious they were slurring and drunk?!?! Anyway, terrible service. OK food. This place has gone way downhill! Side: Roam is far better, Batch & Brine and so many others in the East Bay.

My daughter and I went to San Francisco for a 24hour get away. She wanted something different! Burger Bar hit the spot! The milkshakes were delicious. We ended up going back to SF 2 weeks later and returned to Burger Bar! Our waitress was awesome. Highly recommended.

Everything in SF (we know already) is beyond outrageously expensive. To the point of jaw dropping "Excuse me, what did you say?" However knowing this, I tried Celebrity Kellers Burger Bar. A nothing burger. First: It is located on a high floor with stunning views of SF's famous Union Square. SO THUS, the willingness to pay even higher prices for a hamburger to ENJOY such view. I got a high table, and the experience began to slide straight down. Server was straight up awful. Seemed "out if it". Once the order (Build your own burger) and beer, was taken I never saw him again. Someone else delivered the beer, and another an extremely salty and over cooked twenty plus dollar burger. I guess his definition of "Pink/no juice" meant cooked completely through. I ate it. No server to send it back with. Host asked if everything was fine so these 2 stars are for them as they tried. Decor is very plain. And a mess. Table next to me had milkshake madness all OVER it the entire time - while I ate an extremely expensive hanburger. Management - good luck to ya. Lots and lots of hype, but in the end a very mediocre experience.

Stop what you're doing right now and go get a burger. Do it. This place has the best food. It's easy to write off as it does look like any other food truck when you're driving by by trust me, it's worth it. You might have a little bit of a wait, but hey when you're getting the most delicious burger in a 100 mile radius that's something you'll need to accept. Order the fried cauliflower, I know it sounds weird but just try it.

I love Hubert Keller and I was impressed by his burger bar at Mandalay Bay in Vegas. This one however, did not impress. Service was laughable, the restaurant was empty and I see why. They asked how I wanted my burger cooked - apparently to their expert grill man, “medium” means dry without a hint of pink, or moisture left in the meat. Amateur hour. Will not recommend and will not be back.

The burger tastes average , super duper burger is way worth for taste even the Cheesecake Factory veggie burger costs lesser than this place . The servers are rude ,won't recommend this place . DON'T GO HERE!! We were in San Francisco for the weekend and stayed at a hotel which is within walking distance to Burger Bar. After a long day one Sunday evening, we decided to get carryout for dinner and take it back to the hotel. It was around 7:30pm when I got to Burger Bar to place my order for a burger cooked medium and they were not that busy. It took them about 40 minutes to make my burger. By the time I got back to our hotel room and sat down to eat, I noticed that the bottom bun was completely pink from all of the blood that came from the burger which was cooked rare, at best. Exhausted and I frustrated I called back to request a refund on my card for the burger that was thrown in the trash, by this time it was about 9:00pm. They offered to make me a new one if I went back, but given the time I declined as I did not want to eat that late. The Asst Manager informed me that all of their burgers are under cooked, so if you want it medium, you have to order it well done. Needless to say, the bartender never bothered to mention this when I placed my order. He also said that he couldn't refund my money that I had to speak with the Manager on Monday and he left a message. Long story short, I had to call the Manager as he didn't bother calling me and he gave me some BS line about having to call his IT regarding the refund. It was clear that he was blowing me off. I have not heard from him since, so I essentially wasted my time and TWENTY dollars on a grossly undercooked burger. I would NOT recommend supporting this establishment.

Read about Burger Barn and decided to take a drive to try it out.So many yummy sounding choices,its hard to decide what to have. 2 of us had bacon cheeseburgers and I had the Blue burger- caramelized onions and blue cheese. They were cooked perfectly and really good. The fries are hand cut and crispy .Very good onion rings as well. Grab seats at one of the picnic tables and enjoy ! If you are in Vermont it's worth the drive( we drove 1 hour to get there)

The food is pretty good. But the service isn't so great and the waiters don't greet you properly. Our waiter spoke so softly and without energy that we didn't hear things he asked us. I like the view a lot but this place could be so much better. I felt uncomfortable dining there because of the lack of good service and uncleanliness of the tables, the napkins AND the bathroom.

Great experience until I go and throw my trash away. Every time, a huge pile of wasted plastic and Styrofoam. Most people eat there and end up throwing away the Styrofoam and plastic because they don't offer an option of a paper plate. Get rid of the styrofoam and give me a paper plate. Less trash, less waste, less money, and more respect for Vermont and your cow patties.

the burgers itself weren't that great and they didn't have many options for people who couldn't have beef. The fries and sauces for them were wonderful though. Same with the milkshakes. The wait was long and the waiter was rushing us out. altogether I don't think it was worth it

Solid burger place with a great view! And yes, this place is INSIDE the Macy's. You can take the stairs up to the floor with the restaurant or the elevator. Definitely an odd/unique set up depending on how you look at it, but it's worth it if you're looking for a good burger place. I highly recommend it!

The burger was was one of the most unique and delicious burgers I've ever had. I had the Le Frog burger, and it was a mix of unique items and juicy meat. The fries were just ok, nothing special. The milkshake was amazing, both in flavor and presentation. I sat at the bar, and the service was not very good at all. Perhaps it is better when you are seated at a table?

$60 Rossini burger and $22 Keller burger arrived well done, not medium rare as ordered. We sent them back and fairly quickly got what we ordered. Le Frog burger was our favorite, followed by the Keller, then Rossini. Passed on the $8.75 milkshakes. We got seated at 7pm Friday night, without reservations (they don't take small parties) or a wait. We will be back, but not running.

No, it's not fancy. And it's not near anything. But it's my destination for burgers! Their cooked-to-order burgers are made with fresh, local grass-raised beef, and you can enjoy them with wide variety of toppings. My favorite is the Greek burger, with feta cheese, roasted red peppers, red onion and tzatziki sauce. If fried sides are your thing, there's a nice selection. Try the fried green beans or the fresh-cut French fries. Veggie burgers are available.

I went there with several family members. We ordered a good mix of several burgers. The burgers were tasty, but I expected something more flavorful for the price. the experience, ambiance and the view of Union Square were all wonderful. I will go there again and, next time, go all out and order the very pricey kobe beef.

If you want a great view, go here. If you want a great burger, maybe think twice. Service and view were awesome. Our waiter went above and beyond. The burgers, however, were nothing to write home about, and definitely were not worth the price. Maybe my expectations were too high for a $26 burger. The beef was of decent quality, but lacked anything special. I had the burger with shaved asparagus, mushrooms and blue cheese (I forgot the name), and wasn't the least bit impressed. My friend had the Angus burger with blue cheese and bacon, and was totally impressed with the bacon, but nothing else. Dont bother with dessert, either....grocery store quality brownie cake thing. The only saving grace in my eyes, was the fact that we used our sfo flex pass, and therefore got a discount. So, if you must try it, at least look into getting a sfo flex pass, and use this as one of your attractions. (You get 30 dollars of food). I happened to get a screaming deal on groupon.

Ate here multiple times, popular among visitors, mainly because it is close to Union Square. When you enter the building go for the left hand side elevators! Go for watching sports, every table has displays. Loud when people are cheering. They have a super spicy burger!

I generally disapprove of fancy expensive "regular food", like burgers and hot dogs and pizza. I'd rather not pay $18 (or more) for a burger. That said, Burger Bar makes terrific burgers, probably the best I've had anywhere, and I don't mind splurging there every once in a long while. It is a busy place, and we have had to wait a bit even with a reservation. The service has been good and food has been excellent. Other places try to dress up burgers with fancy surroundings and exotic toppings as well, but Burger Bar actually makes the underlying burger itself first rate. If you like burgers it's worth trying once, then decide whether the somewhat outrageous price is justified.

We came in on a Saturday night and found this place to be pretty packed, but got lucky finding enough seats at the bar where we could squeeze in. As soon as we sat down we we're greeted by a waiter, and then a couple minutes after by the shift manager as well and taken care of really well. It was nice to see service on point when the establishment looked like it was at about maximum capacity. As for the food all the burgers we ordered came out to perfection! I remember ordering the Kobe burger and the result? That Kobe burger is one of the best Kobe burgers I've ever had! Also they have a pretty solid selection of beers, craft beers, and liquors as well too!

My wife and I ate there 05-27-18 in the mid-afternoon. We ordered the classic cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. We ordered the burgers cooked "medium". The burgers were burnt so badly we couldn't eat them. We never saw our server after he took our order. We couldn't get anyone's attention to send the burgers back. We ate our fries, drank the shakes, and were billed nearly $60 for this. Horrible food and service!

I had the "Hottest Burger in the World" - it was unnecessarily hot... but what do you expect with a title like that! Burgers are always great here and the service is always courteous. Great place to bring tourists or visitors to the city as it give a lovely view of Union Square and central SF. The reason for three stars is completely the price. It is very much overpriced for what you get in terms of a burger with the price being driven primarily (in my opinion) by the chef's name and the location. ~$20 for a regular sized burgers and small portion of fries is excessive, as is $9 for a rather average sized milkshake.

No option for 0 stars, this place is horrible. Starting with the watered down lemon aid, then they got both of our orders wrong. They brought the burgers back to fix them and and they brought back cold soggy burgers, again the wrong order. We got small napkins they were using as coasters but no real napkins. I saw one other table that had revived a cloth napkin with utensils. The beer was warm, and we were not checked in with for re fills on drinks once after the food arrived. Then revived the bill and for some reason there was a 3rd burger on it! WAYY over priced for the poor quality. DO NOT RECOMEND

One of those "used to be good" situations. Staff is terrible. Hostess was nowhere to be found. Waitress is aloof; she asked us how everything was and we told her the truth. She just said, "oh," and returned to her normal business. The bus girl was the most useful person here. Food has also taken a few steps down from what it once was. My husband threw up twice in the restroom from it. So sad. Ruining what's otherwise a good trip back home.

One of the very best places to go for a tasty burger in all of northwestern VT. Their burgers are grilled to perfection with many, many, many, toppings available. Everything from bacon, blue cheese, and red onions, to the really exotic. I'd caution you that unfortunately they are only open seasonally, early May to the end of September. This is a classic, old timey-type, snack bar, not a sit down restaurant. Therefore there's no indoor seating, only some picnic tables outside.
