You know that we do not usually stop to place scores when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Indian restaurant.
Everything is good about this place except rates, that are little higher and could be better.
Eat hear twice a month, generally take out. Veggie korma is delicious
Tandoori chicken was great. Spice levels are particular for each individual, I found it tasty but my dining companion wanted more heat.
The Kadaii Chicken was phenomenal.. It took a few minutes to get my meal, but deff worth the wait. I will go back.
Some of the best Indian food around the Charleston area. Their lunch buffet is fully loaded and they bring out fresh tandoori bread! It's high quality and fresh. And for 8.99 you cannot beat the service quality of the food.
I've never eaten here but did visit the grocery section. So many great things to buy at reasonable prices!
This is a great place! Just try it!
The moment we step in, I felt blah. Server, maybe the owner. .frowning accident or intend kick my friend 's chair,No apology, menu selection not appealing nor taste just spicy, not coming back.
Good food.. we had some special requests during buffet and the chef made that for us. Great service.
Resturant was excellent. The owner met me at the counter and we had a splendid Conversation. The Food in which I ordered for take out was very tasty and most importantly, everything was deliciously and freshly made right then. I would definitely recommend this Resturant to my Friends and Family. Jod well done. R, US Federal Officer Brian Van D.
Great food but terrible service. The first time I ate here the food was dripping everywhere on the table when served. Very poor customer service when I ordered online and the order was not received. The staff did not help figure out what happened with the order at all and did not seem to care that I was a regular customer, spending apps. $60 per month at their establishment.
The food was good but the customer service was terrible! We waited a whole hour and 15 minutes to be served. The same person who showed us our seats, served us and 7 other tables with no less than four people each. Poor girl was running all over the place! I've been to numerous Indian restaurants and there is always at least one person other than the waitress walking around offering drinks of water. But at Bombay nobody but the waitress was taking care of the customers. I am still pissed! That is slavery! I will never go back there as long as there continues to be employees lounging behind the counter and one waitress serving the whole restaurant.
Delish! We ordered lamb and goat curry. Love them. I thought they were both delicious. But my husband liked Goat better then Lamb. Loved the buttered Naans—-perfect balance
This place is so good! The staff is friendly and puts up with all our vegan questions. The dishes are so filling, I always have leftovers. Definitely my favorite Indian restaurant! Try the Aloo Paratha
I'm addicted to the food served here. If you want great authentic food, this is the place to go. They offer an all you can eat buffet lunch and an intimate dinner service for two or large tables for your whole family. Dishes ordered at dinner come to the table on a serving plate. Everyone starts with an empty plate and can share, just like family dinners at home.
Good in groceries, coming to restaurant I will give 2 *
Great lunch buffet with chicken tandoori, Tikka masala and plenty of other options.
Tasty foods, good price
*This rating & review is for the Grocery Store* We recently moved to the Charleston area and stopped by to check this store out. They seem to be stocked up pretty well. They were quite friendly too. I asked about a couple of items that I did not see and they offered to have those ordered. Looks promising. We plan to try the restaurant soon.
Great place for Indian food with excellent service. People take a personal interest in getting to know you even as they serve you. Food is near authentic and the price is very reasonable for the buffet. Great atmosphere to gather with family and friends seven days a week.
Really good Curry and Naan. Nice atmosphere
Restaurant food taste is ok. Service is bad. I am flexible but I won't visit this place again.
Well, it is wonderful. I have been lucky enough to have been to India a number of times and the food here is just like being in India!! The staff is very excellent and caring. The decor is what I would call vintage, but charming. They also told me they do ubereats as well. The lunch buffet is the best deal in town! Hurry on over and get yourself great food. The Tandoori Chicken was some of the best I have EVER had!! Ok.... so go..... right now!!!!!
Great service and great food
Horrible biryani. Basically it's sambar rice. The photo says it all. The taste was even more terrible. Felt like lemon rice.
The building is rather unassuming and nothing fancy but if you want some good Indian food you can't beat the quality or the price.
We went there for dinner last night and although the food was good, the service was really bad, the ambiance was lacking, and they weren't very friendly. We had to wait a while for someone to show up to seat us. Then it took quite a log time for someone to take our order. When we go out to dinner we're never in a hurry and actually dislike it when we're rushed, but this was too long. After we got our food, nobody ever came back to check on us! We had to get our own to-go box, and since it was our first time there, we didn't know that nobody brings you the check. Like I said, the food was good and plentiful! But because the service was so bad, I don't think we'll go back. We've been to several Indian restaurants in other cities and always had a great experience...very disappointed with this one
I love indian foods because they have many flavours in there food items. And indian peoples are very friendly and very sweet persons . i recommend to please visit this restaurant .
Great food ! All of us from FIREHOUSE TOWING & THE PALMS CLEANING SERVICE Love this Buffet!
Pretty good, could have more variety. Better salads. Bit slow on the nan bread for a place so small.
This is an Indian restaurant with an adjourning Indian store. I ordered Curry goat. The dish was decent but something was missing. It had the heat as requested but the flavor was off. The long grain rice is to die for. I could have eatend it by itself.
good place nic3 food nice store i visit every week
Amazing food. I got Chana masal which is curry chickpeas, roti, which is a thin bread(that is really good) and curry chicken. I ordered ahead and it was ready when I got there. A little pricy but I was surprised by how much food you get so it was definitely worth it. It also comes with lots of rice. The staff was very nice as well. Definitely would go back.
Best explanation ever, best fresh food ,traditional indian test
Fantastic lunch experience, very kind staff, deliciously fresh food, great mix of vegetarian/meat dishes. We will return every visit to Charleston!!!
This place use to be good not the same maybe not enough worker and. Service is not good and food is kind of okay .
I've been coming here for years. The lunch buffet is the best. The food is always fresh, and I haven't been able to find another Indian restaurant as delicious as this one.
Good to go place for Indian spices
Love the food. Rich in flavors and very good prices. Been a big fan of this place since 2011.
I enjoyed the buffet lunch since I am a fan of curry chicken. The lentil soup was enjoyable and the food not over seasoned. So, a person could add salt, pepper, etc. or enjoy a heart healthy meal. The service was prompt and courteous. I'll definitely be a return customer.
What it lacks in ambiance it more than makes up for in delicious food and generous portions. Definitely coming back.
Yummy, let them know how spicy you want your food.
Great food and service. The grocery side has a $10 minimum for credit purchases which is not as great
Decent Indian food but not great. They have a small buffet for lunch that's pretty fresh. But I think there are better options in the area.
Not sure why this restaurant has 4 rating, The place was a Chinese restaurant earlier and still has presence of it. Hotel is still using the same chinese dishes. It took them 30 mins to serve the food. Attitude wasn't great. Place looked dirty. Food was ok. Will not go again
2 stars because they gave us food. Lack of the rest of the stars because : 1. It was a buffet and they refused to refill the dishes. 2. The food was either bland and/or not tasty. 3. The service was lackluster and I sometimes thought that the people working there hated everyone for having lunch there. They had that look in their eyes!
This is my go to Indian Food. Amazing service. I get the same hung every time and they always remember my order! Coconut vegetable curry, no peppers ;) Delicious!
Consistently great dishes. Everything I've had here had been splendid, good service too.
yummy buffet for lunch
Very nice, welcoming and informative people. If you're vegan or vegetarian this is a great brunch place. Even got to try bitter melon for the first time!
Food was good and inexpensive.
In my experience, the buffet was very good and the service was fine for a buffet; as you serve yourself... right? The grocery is also crazy good, as I buy the dry packets and make my own Indian food at home. It comes very close to restaurant quality. My wife and I remember one of the owners from when he worked at a place down town close to ten years ago. He served the best Indian food around then and this restaurant is doing the same now. We have had Indian food in many spots in the U.S. and abroad and we highly recommend Bombay Bazar. Dan, Liz and Raine Wilson Hanahan
was greeted promptly. seated immediately. there was a language barrier between my waiter and i. he promptly got someone to help me. im trying to go dairy free. they had plenty options. my food was very good. garlic nann could have been more flavorful but was still tasty. would come again.
Menu had plenty of options for vegetarian eaters. I had a yellow dal with garlic naan. They bring the food out in little batches, which is a little odd but it seemed like they brought it out as it was cooked. Want to go back and try the lunch buffet.
They attach the timing ( restraint with store ) which makes me confused with time the should separate the store from restaurant any way food not that much regular quality they can do better but the store have many things but the price was too much and there some items you can find in big stores
Good food
Great place to shop and eat
Good size restaurant but with average food. Ordered dal makhni but very salty.
The bomb
Consistently great food. Fresh, and extremely well priced. I've eaten the buffet multiple times now and and am really impressed with the food quality. The dinner menu is wonderful and has many, many different choices with outstanding selections for vegetarians. It is the best Indian food I've had in Charleston. Update: Ate there again last night and had the Malai Kofta. It was outstanding. Perfect. The veggie dumplings were the best I've had, and the sauce was masterfully prepared with the perfect amount of sweetness and heat. Rarely do I actually look forward to having a dish again, and this is one of those times.
Worst service ever! Food was acceptable... never again...
Taste was bad. You have a better chance to win powerball than finding paneer in spinach paneer (palak paneer) . Bread(Naan) was not warm and not fresh at all.
Great service. Everything I have ever ordered from the menu has been spiced well and fresh. The buffet is also decent, but I personally like to order fresh off the menu.
Love this place! Always happy with the food and service!
Such delicious food! The palak paneer was great!
This place has a very nice lunch buffet. For only $10.99, you can have an amazing lunch. I wish I knew the name of all the dishes that were available. What I can say is that each one was flavorful and delicious. The tandoori chicken was especially awesome. They also make a great mangalasse (spelling?).
Stopped on the way to sf. It is amazing. I don't know how healthy the rotis are but they tasted FABULOUS. Very neat and clean too. The curries are really good.
Looked scary, however food was great
Great price for an all-you-can-eat buffet. Good food
Outdated, bland food and confused staff,i would not go back!!
Ordered from them with UberEats. Great experience, food arrived hot, and fast. Ordered vegetable samosas and chana masala, both vegetarian and dairy free. Just the right amount of spice for the masala, and whatever sauce is used for the samosas is tasty. Very happy with this restaurant.
Tired of burgers? Very good food. The buffet from 11 to 2 (or 3 pm)? is the bomb. Ask for complementary hot sauce if you want to know what India hot is! But unusual good taste comes with that hot, just use it a bit at a time. Owner and wife are very nice. You can take out for someone who does not know what Indian food is, a full full takeout box is about $15, but I mean more than anybody can eat at once, and they will be hooked. When I take someone here, they say ahh, yes, its goooood. This is not the normal fast food . Its fast, immediate food at lunch buffet hours to eat in or take out, but it is carefully prepared, carefully spiced food. Not to say dinner isn't advised, but the lunch buffet must be experienced. Congrats to the owners, unique food!
Food taste like home cooked......
The lunch buffet is pretty good, but they recently increased their prices so I don't get to go nearly as often. I have a hard time spending $15 for lunch.
Went for a lunch buffet at this place. Don't be fooled by the humble decor, this place has quality food. I am a vegetarian and i was pleasantly surprised to see quite a few options for me
Really good option for vegetarians. Would suggest to take food to go. The seating area is quiet and kind of awkward. No music plays and a TV on the wall makes a strange noise instead of volume. Store connected next door with a lot of options as well.
Great restaurant! Id recommend butter chicken with some garlic naan and a mango lassi to top it off. Can confirm the attatched store is also amazing
Honestly, It is the best Indian Restaurant in Charleston. The food is always fresh and delicious. The grocery store next door has the almost every grocery item that an Indian kitchen might need. The owners are very helpful and friendly.
Great food, nice place
They took 1 hr just for the appetizers. Manager was very rude and the food was burnt too. Will never go back to this place
This was my first time trying Indian food. The place was quaint and quiet. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food.
I enjoyed eating here, is it authentic, I can't say... It's the only Indian restaurant I've gone to. But I do like it.
Ms. Patel (owner) and her staff at the restaurant are world class. Great food, great atmosphere, great service. My husband and I love the restaurant and visit often.
Delicious! Have been going here for years- great food and wonderful service.
They pretty much have a lot of Indian seasoning and herbs. They're fresh and cheap. Love this store!
My absolute favorite restaurant of all time! I can't get enough! Great food, great ambience, and even better people!
It's a small buffet but what they put out is good
These folks try to do their best. It is not exceptional but OK for the price. Limited selection but again commensurate with the buffet price.
Taste ok. Taking long time to refill the buffet items. No one available to provide answer.. waited for long time.
Great Indian lunch buffet and the price is good for the quality.
Buffett was good, best Indian food in Charleston by far.
chicken Biriyani was definitely not a biriyani. They did not charge for the biriyani though. Need to change their silverware too. However THEIR TANDOORI IS ONE THE BEST
This is where I had my first Indian food a few years back. They have a buffet with a decent selection of items - and when I was there at least, dessert was included in the buffet. Yum, gulab jamun!
I went to the buffet here. The food was good. It took forever to get bread that comes with the meal. The staff was very unfriendly. It seems they want your money but they don't want to give you service. I haven't went to the store that is joined so I can't comment on that.
You can find all Indian Masala and sonamasuri rice, snacks...etc and some vegetables
Rice and Tiki was great!
Great buffet for lunch of authentic Indian food.
The worst Indian restaurant I have ever been to. They took literally an hour to bring us tea! This shouldn’t take more than 10 mins at the most. The samosas they got for us were burnt, not to mention this was served late too. Since the all the items were late I talked to the manager and she was the rudest manager I have ever talked to, she was behaving like I am eating for free! The to go items we got, went home were also burnt ! Such an annoying and and frustrating experience. All my friends are going give this a negative rating!
Humble surroundings and great food!
Don't order online. The information does not get through to the restaurant in a timely manner, I showed up at the restaurant at the time we were supposed to pick it up and waited an hour and 15 minutes for the food to come out.
HORRIBLE...!!! The food and the Service was HORRIBLE...!!! The owner behave like you owe her. There are many nice restaurants around than this place. Waste of Money and Time...!!!
I went here with my girlfriend and my vegetarian daughter for dinner and be advised the restaurant half is closed from 3-5pm but everyone greatly enjoyed the meal and it was good for vegetarians and meat eaters all was enjoyable and flavorful of the appropriate spice level, I'll go for spicy next time. Thanks so much my daughter wanted to go again so we returned for another meal.
Slow service awful food
I passed by this resturant for years until a my co worker opened my eyes to this hidden treasure. this resturant is small and cozy. They have a lunch buffet from 11 to 3 for 8.99. And they also offer to go boxes for the buffet that is weight for the price. The food is authentic indian and it is delicious. I love the chicken tikka marsala... it is so flavorful. And I havent found a vegetarian side on the buffet that i didnt like. Everything is delicious.
Not worth for cost
Food is good. Service is also good. Good portion.
Oh wow ! An amazing Indian grocery in North Charleston. Everything you need and then some from spices to flour to rice to vegetables. As good an Indian grocery as I’ve seen!
Poor selection at lunch buffet. Food didn't taste very fresh. Poor atmosphere. Not very clean. Won't ever go back.
The desserts we're good. The buffet was somewhat Limited. Tandoori chicken was dry. Overall not quite as good as Nirlep
Great food. Neat and clean place. Good service.
Very good flavor! We ordered take out and had never eaten from here before. Only problem is don’t get the “spicy” unless you KNOW you can handle it. We love spicy and it was too much. Ordered a regular one which saved our life. Very good. Got tikka masala and chicken madras. We will be back!
Great food, the lunch buffet has a somewhat limited selection but the food is always excellent.
Mmmm !!! That Chicken Tikka Marsala is sooo Yummy !!!! They have a Great lunch buffet as well !!
Very helpful
Excellent food and service. Friendly atmosphere.
Very good food, and service
The butter chicken and the keema samosas are great from this place. That being said, their service is absolutely horrid. My husband and I called them to place a to-go order and as we have done with other restaurants, we will name 2 or 3 dishes and ask them what is the best selling or what they recommend the most. Those of you familiar with Indian curries, there are different types of curries from different regions of India (ex: Goan curry, north indian curry, etc). The idiot that answered the phone (refused to tell us his/her name - couldn't tell if it was a man or a woman) got so worked up and began yelling, "curry is curry, they are all indian curries, I don't think you know what Indian curry is" and started questioning our knowledge of the cuisine ( don't think he/she knew we are also Indian). To top it all off, says something like, " you come here and I will show you indian curry" and hangs up. We called back, another gentleman answered, he went onto laugh about it and changed the topic without being apologetic of the situation or hearing us out. I don't know about the rest of you guys, but service from a restaurant is just as important as their food. For such poor service again I wish I could give them less than a star for this rating.
I enjoy the lunch buffet and shopping next door at their store. They sell frozen packages of naan and samosas so you can make some at home when you start missing this place. I will always enjoy coming here.
Yeah. Great price, quiet, good enough
I had a meal from the menu. Lamb with cashew paste, lamb appetizer and paneer bread. Great food and friendly people.
My husband and I went here for dinner. I've taken out plenty times before but that was my first time taking him. Our food was slow to be delivered and the waiter and waitress paid so much attention to the other tables(like 3 other tables) that they never paid us any attention except for when our food was ready. I was embarrassed that I took my husband here just to be ignored. Nonetheless, the food is delicious but I can only give a 3 because the service was horrible. Considering we were the only minorities there beside the service people, it made us feel really bad.
Great buffet at lunch, but they raised their prices quite a bit for the small menu choice
One of the best Indian cuisine I ever had in the US, very very delightful
great place, mouth watering food at good prices..
I enjoyed the lunch buffet. Everything was delicious. I will definitely be back.
Make sure you check your receipt, they love to rob customers.
Oh my god. So good.
I went for lunch buffet. Good food and some fair variety. Kinda too spicy for me though!
Great Buffet and pleasant atmosphere and staff await when looking for something different to eat for lunch and dinner.
Too late for order, and customer service was externally bad
I have eaten at many Indian restaurants from coast to coast and the food here is very well prepared. They have muligitawny soup and condiments you will not find on the. West coast. Unfortunately there is only one waiter and he is excellent but service suffers on his day off. Not comparatively expensive especially given the location. Parking meters enforced til late at night and parking is difficult on weekends both day and night. Beer and wine on request. I love Indian food a d this is currently my favorite.
Best north Indian restaurant in bay area
Ok food but if you naturally adore Indian food you will probably like it
Excellent buffet.
Buffet got a little pricey for the selection
Loved this place, definitely underrated. I loved the lunch buffet. Not many options on the buffet but everything was fantastic.
Attitude if the staff not that great...food okay types. I can cook better food.
Their lunch buffet is a great value and the service is respectable. The buffet runs from 1100 to 1500 and has a variety of classic Indian dishes done right. They also have an Indian grocery store that caries ingredients not often found in most common supermarkets. The reason for only rating 4 stats is the appearance and decor of the restaurant / shop does not match its quality. The space is very outdated and the exterior looks a bit weathered. I would eat here again and recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Indian meal or lunch buffet!
Excellent service & delicious dishes. Enjoyed a lot!!
The store isn't kept well. Items are not marked, so they charge you any amount, which can be different every time and is certainly high. Last time I went, the stuff that needs to be frozen ( it was written on the packets) was in the refrigerator but it wasn't frozen, it was just cold and thawed. I'm not sure how long it was thawed, so the chances of it being spoiled were pretty high. Avoid buying frozen/refrigerated food here.
Excellent customer service and food. The people who work here were extremely kind and helpful. We ate here for my husband's birthday, given this is his favorite kind of food, and we were very pleased. Delicious. Recommend!
Interesting place. Good, authentic menu.
Best indian in north charleston
Good Indian food. Great, personable service. Will continue to come back for quick, good food.
Buffet lunch was a small selection. Didn't seem very fresh.
Worst Indian food. They use expired chicken in the dishes.
Saw all the positive reviews and decided to give this place a shot. My wife and I went in for dinner. To begin with it seemed like they were extremely short staffed. Drink orders were essentially ignored and the waitress was less than professional. The food was very good though. I decided that the food was good enough to warrant a second shot and we went in for the lunch buffet. Gone were the vibrant flavors of the dishes we were served at dinner, but the service quality still remained unchanged. If you go here, ready yourself for sub par service and skip the buffet.
Fantastic dinner, I can't wait to return and try everything at the lunch buffet!
I visit bombY it's tooo good food I love this food it's too delicious the workers are too good very nice and the specially guy garry work over there a cool NYC guy he treats too good
Kind of creepy experience. You will be watched and followed. They do offer items you cant find anywhere else. Buffet was nothing to brag about
Excellent lunch
This isnt an elegant spot, but the buffet is awesome! Great food for $8.99!
Expensive. Really good naan with cherries.
Very nice authentic Indian feel...food was good. Only issue we had was we waited 2 hours for our food. Also when we ordered the waitress asked us one by one "mild? Or hot?" 4 out of 5 of us said MILD. 2hours goes by our food comes we dig in and simultaneously we all start screaming grabbing our water!!! That food was so intensely pit of hell hot it burned my lips. But we waited 2 hours for the food so we tried to hammer through it. They never asked if we wanted anything to drink beside water either. Kinda odd. Probably wont go back....still nursing my 3rd degree burns of mouth.
My favorite Indian place in the neighborhood!! Get the coconut curry!
Very homey place with amazing flavors and reasonable prices.
Great place. One of the few 'Actually Indian' places i have been to and the only one in Charleston. Food options were good and tasted very much like what you would get in India. But it lacked a certain taste that you expect from a restaurant. Felt more homemade which can be a hit or a miss. I personally loved it. The dal (lentil) was amazing. Chicken tilka was good too. Reasonably priced to boot
Below average Indian store & Restaurant. Restaurant serves Very bland & tasteless Indian food which is not at all hot. Found hair in the curry. Obviously wont eat here again. It has store that sells Indian groceries as well, but it's quite expensive. The groceries are not fresh & understocked. Lacks variety. Also does not provide correct information in the bill..Wont Recommend.
Worst experience ever in terms of food as well as behaviour of the staffs.
Food is not that good....waist of money and time. Service is bad and grocery prices are high.
Amazing as always
This was my first visit and I loved it! Staff was friendly and very helpful with food suggestions. I had the butter chicken. I was amazing!
I love it here! The lunch buffet is dependably delicious. When I asked about specific ingredients because of food allergies the owner was very informative and told me I could call ahead with special requests next time. I've never been disappointed eating here. They usually have a quiet corner they can tuck you in, but they can accommodate large groups as well. Be warned though, in typical Indian restaurant fashion, they have incense burning constantly. I love it, but my friend had a headache the moment we walked in. They offered us a seat in the back room away from the incense, under an ac vent, and he was able to enjoy his meal. Love this place!
It is a good place for Indian cuisine. It is not the best of Indian food. I came here for lunch buffet and for sit-down dinner. The lunch buffet food is ok. I liked what I ordered at dinner more. I got Chicken Korma and I loved it. The dinner portion is big. You get fresh baked naan bread. Service here is decent.
Great food, nice atmosphere staff very friendly ate at the buffet
This Indian store is much improved now. Quality of goods specially vegetables is well maintained and prices are normalized. Service quality is highly applicable. Young geltleman is very helpful.
The store- the store is poorly maintained. It is not clean, nor organized, and the items are not fresh. It appears that they leave items on shelves gathering dust until they sell with no limit to that time. Inflated prices. If you’re desperate this is the place for you. Most notably- the woman who runs the counter in the store is invariably rude. I’ve been shopping here since they opened. Again, invariably, this woman is rude, unwelcoming, and makes one hesitate before spending money at her store. Her demeanor it’s beyond rude- it’s offensive. She looks down her nose at you, rolls her eyes, and if you hold your hand out to take your change or receipt she makes a point to put it on the counter.
Delicious food and good service!
Humble decor but nice and quality food, love itttt
It's a very nice and quiet restaurant to sit down and enjoy a good meal.
Amazing and Delicious Indian Cuisine!! The Buffet is Scrumptious and the staff are very Courteous!! We will Definitely be visiting again!! Not to mention, we Love the adjoining Market next door to the Restaurant for our home prepared meals! ✨
My family and I love this place! It’s one of my favorite restaurants in SC, hands down. The food is absolutely incredible, worth any type of wait time involved. :) I highly recommend the Alloo Tikki and Malai Kofta to everyone (especially vegetarians)! The naan is delicious and so is their mango lassi. Please come here if you’re looking for great Indian food! The grocery store next door is a fun stop too.
Not even worth $12.99 for buffet. I will not go back. Waitor nice, greeter never smiled!! He's n wrong position. Need friendlier person to greet Customers.
Worst experience! We have been to this restaurant a few times, but this time it was the worst service possible. It took 2 hours to get our food. We refilled our water. They wouldn't tell us when the food would be done. The waitress rolled her eyes at everyone who ordered. Also, the chef asked us for a cigarette in the parking lot after dinner. He was in his apron still. We will never be going back.
Excellent food, excellent service. Best Indian food in the Charleston area. Lunch buffet is amazing and so is the dine in for dinner. Been going here for years and never been dissatisfied.
Authentic indian food and really nice staff.
It's a OK Indian restaurant in downtown. A bit expensive to what is serve. Can go for a while.
Not very much flavor
Not a nice dining room. The food was only ok and the cost for three buffets with one coke and one mango lassie was $42.00 which I thought was over the top for a buffet.
So delicious. Frequent flyer here for the lunch buffet.
We had small friends gathering on my buddy birthday celebration......we had horrible experience with this restaurant...Don't ever ask to make your food spicy...!!! worst experience we couldn't eat even single bite it was too hot, I believe when you ask make it spicy they simply put all the chili powder to your dish and mix it......we had to order extra plain rice to mix it with biryani (which is not actual biryani which they gave, I call it spicy color rice) still couldn't eat our food..all money, time and health wasted...!! never ever will go again to this place.
Good food and great belly dance show but a little pricey
Awesome food specially papri chaat :)
Bad customer service doesn't speak in a polie way charge you an order without telling you when I am using the buffet they come everytime to look at our plate to see how much did we took
You are not going to like but love the food
Very good spices in the food. Very cool and laid back enviornment. Their buffet was small but the selections was very tasty. There is a grocery mart to the side of the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Follow my reviews at #ayterrell
The food was awful and the buffet had only 6 things to choose from. If you love Indian food I would not reccomend this place. One of the worst I have ever been to.
Great Indian for a great price
Don’t place an order here with a third party service. They won’t get it, and tell you to call mealhi5.
Good food!
Great dishes, love the Lamb Chole and the mushroom mattar. Excellent food.
Super yummy lunch buffet at a reasonable price. Not a huge selection, but a good variety. Very good chai tea.
Nice place please reach out to Mrs . Varsha Behan and her dad Bob Patel..very nicely run
Lamb Curry and Chicken Saag were our dinner choices; both were very good. Their sweet tea is different. It has spices like cloves, cinnamon sticks and cardamom -- very good. The service was a little slow and the ambiance is kinda plain, but I didn't come for the ambiance. I can't eat ambiance.
Fabulously delicious Indian comfort food! Added to my favorite eateries and going there again.
This is nice indian restaurant. It's food is very fresh and it's taste is amazing. I atleast visit every two weeks to tried it's different food. The Workers are really helpful.
I have never tasted such a worst food in my life time, the taste is very bad and the quality is worse to the core. I tried buffet, spread is very less and the rice were so dry and it’s very hard to eat. I don’t recommend to have buffet in this place. If you try it you will know the reality
I do not suggest going to this Indian restaurant ever. We went to this place after seeing the good reviews, but as an Indian I would say this was my worst experience in last 15 years. The food taste was very bland and the quality was even worse. The ambience and decor was also poor.
The best place in the area for Indian food. I've been to India, this is as close to the real deal that I've seen in the area. The lunch buffet is awesome!
Absolutely delicious. Fresh & full of flavor! Thanks so much!
This review is for the food market side, not the restaurant side The market has a typical selection of shelf items & frozen foods, and a small selection of not very fresh green produce The woman who runs this market is quite rude in her unspoken mannerisms towards customers Over a period of time, I have witnessed the following: (1) Yawning as customer approaches counter (2) Affecting a reluctance to walk over to the cash register to ring up purchases (3) Deliberately giving misinformation about food items when asked a question (5) Walking away from cash register after transaction without saying a word to the customer during the entire transaction (4) Walking out of the market side of building over to restaurant side as customer is setting items on the counter to be purchased, without speaking to customer (i.e., assuring customer she'll be right back), and not returning to market side - after 15 min. of waiting, customer left
Visited twice here on my trip to Charleston. Food here is better than many restaurants in india. Had a great time
This place is horrible, they really need to give jobs to people who provide good service. The waiters over there with their sad/irritated faces make us feel like life is over! Food was okay, proper cleanliness is also needed. Not sure how they got 3.9 star rating.
Awesome place. Food tatse great..Great indian hospitality by owners.Inbuilt grocery store has an added advantage.Would love to come again and again
Best indian food ive had
Stopped here on my lunch break. Best decision ever. Food was amazing and staff was welcoming. They didn’t mind me asking questions either. Very patient and informative. Definitely going back!
Good food but slow service.
Looks gross but tastes good, and the store is filled with awesome stuff
Sunday, they are closing before advertised closing time. We arrived 55 minutes before closing and the host just said that it was closed, period.
Had lunch at buffet. Dining area is small staff is nice but not ready for prime time. Items on buffet weren't labeled food was ok but not stellar. Google says this is like Nirlip in west Ashley but it is has a long way to go to march food, service, and ambiance
Great Indian cuisine.
