Honey Habanero BBQ Baby Back Ribs are my favorite. The Sweet & Zesty Chicken Wings are my favorite appetizers. I Love their french fries and dipping it in their remoulade sauce. Also recommend the Summer Slaw and Baked Beans. Service is typically friendly and pretty fast. Gets very busy at night so I tend to go during lunchtime.

We found this place on a business trip and decided to stop by. The service was very quick. The food tasted great, however the food was served on too small of a plate. This caused the food to be more messy than it should have been. The beer was not horrible, but not great either. Even with that I would visit again, maybe not try their experimental beers though.

I have a friend from Utah who loves this place, but last time he went the food was cold, now he doesn't talk about going to Babe's anymore when we chat. He really loved it. Met some friends there last week who were eating, I grabbed a beer from the bar. I asked them how the food was, they said it was cold! Is the non-desert food there supposed to be cold?

Used to eat here often, never going back. I would always get the same thing, the Cobb salad which came with a side of their amazing cornbread for $16. Now, the salad is half the size, no cornbread and still $16. I had to get a side of fries just to fill me up. The tab for myself with 2 drinks, sad salad and side fries $45. I'll go elsewhere for that price.

The worst BBQ I have ever had ... Ever. The brisket wasn't smoky at all and was full of fat. Someone needs to give this place a master class in what is good BBQ. Overall, I probably got half meat and half fat. Who loves a mouthful of beef fat? The BBQ beans tasted like Bush baked beans straight from the can. I don't think they made an effort to even season them up at all. To top it off, the place was mostly empty. That should have been my red flag to not eat there. There is no way this place is a top 10 best anything. That was obviously a paid for award. We won't go back and I highly recommend that you don't waste your money. Grill some burgers in your back yard and save your cash for a good restaurant in Palm Desert.

Overall good meal. Service was very efficient and food was good. Kids meals were way too large and for that reason expensive. Few kids under 10 are going to eat 4 cups of Mac and Cheese or a whole basket of fries. Also offer fruit or something moderately healthy with the kids meals. Should have ordered a side of Mac not the kids meal...

Absolutely awesome! We are in vacation from Long Beach CA and stopped by here for dinner. This place puts Lucille's BBQ and Roadhouse Grill to shame! The St Louis ribs, beef short ribs, chicken, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, and corn bread.... The Best! Yes, we had all of this and even the cocktails were great. But to top it off, the service from the minute we walked in to the end, was perfect! Totally recommend it!!! I wish we had one of these in Long Beach...

I would recommend this place for two (and only two) reasons, those being beer and tamales. I'm not much impressed with their BBQ offerings but in a town without many local microbreweries, their craft beers on tap are very good indeed. I love to go in for lunch (I always sit at the bar because I find the over-the-top western kitsch in the dining area a bit annoying) and have a beer with a couple of tamales which I think are very good. There are several varieties including the love-it-or hate-it feta cheese tamale (which I love by the way). So this reviewer gives 4 stars specifically for the beer and tamales but would drop a couple stars for everything else.

I am usually thrilled with food at Babes. This last visit I was way less than. I ordered BBQ salad with brisket on it. There were huge chunks of fat on the meat. The “onion straws” was actually an onion ring cut into pieces. The quantity of salad was a lot less than last time I had this although sufficient. The corn bread although still yummy was a smaller amount - a muffin rather than a small loaf. I detest paper straws although certainly not their fault for using them. It will be a long time , if ever, before I ask to go back there.

If you visit Palm Desert this is a must stop. It has amazing food and atmosphere. Shopping and a movie theater close by. Great date night place. I highly recommend it. Side note: Go early - it can get busy.

We had lunch at Babe's about 4 weeks ago and it was good and not many people there at the time maybe only 25% of the tables. Based on our favorable experience we told our good friends from Canada about Babe's and they wanted to go so we made dinner reservations. Our reservation was honored upon arrival and we were taken to a nice booth. The restaurant was completely full. Michael our server was prompt about taking our drink orders which arrived only about 5 minutes later. Michael took our order and also a picture of us at the table. 3 or us ordered ribs and the other person chicken. Michael again took another drink order. Michael did take very good care of us throughout. Our mains arrived after about 20 minutes. I cut into my St. Louis ribs and took a bite. They were tough and tasted burned but didn't look burned on top so I turned them over and they were absolutely black! Our friends baby backs were tough and black on top and even blacker on the bottom! My wife's baby backs ribs were quite tough. The other friend's chicken was good. We were quite embarrassed about the poor rib experience and apologized profusely to our friends. Talk about disappointed! The only good thing about the evening was the great service.

Bate and switch? After a busy day of driving through 4 Southern California counties I ended my day in Palm Dessert. I was in the mood for BBQ I googled BBQ restaurant near me near the top was Babes so I checked out the menu and set my gps for the quickest way. Once I got there and look at the menu the price was almost 10 dollars more. I showed the server the menu from my smart phone and they said sorry it was wrong and there was no they could do. I got up and went someplace else.

First time there. Went for my birthday and, as usual, ate at the bar. The food was very good. With one exception, the service was friendly and efficient. The exception was the bartender who waited on us. She made it seem like she was doing us a favor waiting on us. She was brusque and rude, cutting me off in mid sentence a number of times.

100 degree day at the aquatic park... wanting good food..."Boo Boo, what do you want to eat?" "Chicken and beef!" I asked, "Like a sandwich?" "No. Like real chicken and beef." Car says it's 104, so indoors is a good choice. Place is dark and has a strange smell inside to start, but I became accustomed to it. Good host. Better waiter. Eric K according to receipt. Let's get to the food. Baby back ribs & 2 chicken thighs combo. Ribs were a touch of smoke and very tender. A+ Chicken was tender and flavorful. A Second entree - brisket sandwixh. Two of them in one order! Buttery bun and fatty brisket. A little flavorless for me, but that's what good sauce is for! Brisket - B+ Sauce - A+ Sides. Got 5! Onion Rings, sweet potato fries, coleslaw - A+ Beans, french fries - A. Service -A+ Cleanliness - A Peach iced tea and lemonade - A Complementary sorbet after dinner was an extra plus. Flavor of day prepared here - pineapple. This place exceeded my expectations. I recommend to all.

This restaurant was better than I thought it would be for a bbq restaurant. I had chicken fried steak with garlic mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. The chicken fried steak had an original coating, which made it worth while but the meat itself was just a little tough. The side order of mac and cheese was creamy and the noodles we're not overcooked. The potatoes were good. My wife had the order of three different sausages, rabbit, elk, and wild boar. All were good and tasty over a bed of sauteed onions. Overall it was a good experience. The place is very nice and seems "upper end". The price was a little high, 19 for the chicken fried steak and 18 for the sausage. After the meal they gave us a small taste of watermelon sorbet that was excellent. Service was good. I would go back don't would recommend this place.

One of the best BBQ restaurants I have ever been to. We went here 3 times on our trip. Although the ribs were very good every time, they varied depending on which section of the rib we received by chance. (centre cut vs tip etc.) The southern cornbread salad was huge and amazing.

Had an amazing meal here with the whole family. I wasn't sure what to expect from the past reviews but wanted to give it a shot based on the food pics we saw. We started with the garlic parmesan bread and cornbread skillet both fantastic. Main course we had the baby back ribs, pulled pork sandwich, and short rib sandwich, all were fantastic. Also, I would recommend the candied yam side dish... sooooo good. I notice a lot of bad reviews on the service but we were happy with it though we were here on a slower Monday night so not sure if that made the difference. I highly recommend it this for anyone visiting the area.

The meats were really good. The brisket was juicy and the baby back ribs are smoked so well, like ham! I really liked the bbq sauce too. The sides were subpar. They just weren't seasoned, very bland. We had the corn on the cob, mac and cheese, and fries. The cornbread was ok, too much like creamed corn. Overall good, but not the best I've ever had. Wouldn't not have it again.

A brisket burger in this place is apparently made from smoked brisket, ground, made into a patty, then grilled again. I expect that kind of bs back in the UK but in the states? If that is the kitchen’s idea of acceptable then I can’t recommend anything other than staying the hell away. I ate two mouthfuls, a BK whopper is better than that atrocious rubbish. Avoid.

Have always loved Babes when coming to the desert, however this visit fell short of their usual 5 star quality. The St Louis ribs are usually to tender and tasty. These ribs were overly charred (burnt and bitter) and very tough. I think they used parts of the slab that are usually cut off and not served in most rib places. Sides were not as tasty as usual. The wedge salad was great. It was the best item ordered on this visit, I’m sorry to say. My wife was not thrilled with the bbq salad. Very ordinary, nothing special, odd that they put cut-up fried onion rings in salad. Overall not my best eating experience from Babes, but I’m not going to take them off my desert favorites list just yet. Maybe it was just an off night for them.

My husband and I tried their fried green tomatoes appetizer and although their tomatoes weren’t the best I’ve ever had, the sauce that came with might’ve been. Their baby back ribs lunch special was perfect. Those ribs were so dang good I was sucking on the bones for quite a while. I paired it with their creamy Mac and cheese and their delicious corn on the cob (could’ve sucked on that too). My husband ordered the short rib sandwich and it’s anything but short. The meat was really tender and juicy. Our waiter Thoran did an amazing job and we hope to get seated with him next time. Only reason I took a star was because it was a bit warm in the restaurant and it was over 110 degrees, closer to 115. Nobody likes to be that warm as they eat, especially indoors.

Waiter was on point...with recommendations to table service. Was very attentive and deserves the highest marks. Atmosphere here is amazing and cant wait to come back for dinner. Wings were cooked perfectly but could have been seasoned a bit but great regardless. Their BBQ sauce on table was nice and tangy and complimented the wings well. Also was provided with larger ranch dressing in a dish that made it easy for dipping....that extra touch when table already had ranch shows how proud of their service they are......

The house beers were all very well made. I enjoyed them all. The BBQ was decent but far from the traditional BBQ back home. The meats were all cooked fine but they came out all covered in sauce. I'd much prefer to add my own sauce and even then only if it's need. The commercial cooker they use doesn't add near the smoke flavor a good wood burner does. Service was great.

We loved it, very relaxing vibe. Meat was tender and didn't really need a knife to cut it. The service was fast, the menu had a variety to choose from. The atmosphere was just right, it was kid friendly which was important because we had our daughter with us. The wait wasn't bad at all on a Saturday around 5:30. We waited 10-15minutes. We loved knowledgeable the server was, and he made some awesome suggestions for us. We highly recommend this place, for BBQ. My husband ordered the half & half which is half a rack Memphis style ribs and half a rack of another style ribs with baked beans, and sweet potato fries. He also ordered lobster mac'n'cheese for us to share. I ordered the brisket, tri-tip, and short rib combo with baked beans and sweet potato fries and a hot sausage on the side. EVERYTHING was delicious. My husband said the ribs were very meaty and he was getting full off of half a rack and ofcourse the sides. I am not a bake beans person but these beans were delicious,

Overpriced sub par BBQ. I had the tri tip sandwiches and pulled pork poutine. Sandwiches were decent. The meat had a decent flavor, but was ruined by the house BBQ sauce. Their sauce is like a watery Sweet Baby Rays. The pulled pork on the poutine was garbage. No flavor. Not enough cheese curds, and the serving size was just not enough in my opinion. The atmosphere was great though. Service was nice. But that's not why I go to restaurants. I've had my share of real BBQ from Kansas City, and some Carolina BBQ, and if you enjoy those, then you probably won't enjoy this.

Giving it a 4 star because there isn't a 4.5 star. Whenever I go someplace new like this I always try a burger. When I return, i go for something different. I had a burger and the garlic fries. Delicious! Everything was really good and the service was amazing. Kudos to the staff...very attentive, and the atmosphere is light and fun with a country kick. Highly recommend going.

Food was great. We got Lobster Mac and cheese, tried the sausage sampler and we all had ribs. Ribs were cooked to perfection. Didn't really like the Mac and cheese, kinda tasted like Kraft's. The restrooms were cleaned, but waitressing services was kind of slow. Only a few available on a Sunday and they all seemed stretched all over. Definitely would eat here again if in the mood for ribs. Update: it's the morning after eating food from here and I'm stomach is very upset. I've been vomiting and had diarrhea all morning. I had the St. Louis entree with garlic mashed potatoes. It's been 5 hours and I'm still not feeling the best. Food was still great, but not for these results. I definitely couldn't risk eating here again!

Food: Great BBQ flavors. We ordered quite a few different items for the table, and everything was delicious. Highly recommended. Brews: A decent variety for the limited selection of homemade beers. Flavors were pretty good depending on your preference. They also carried some guest taps.

If you like large fatty baby back ribs, this is just the place for you. Also, bring your own moist towelettes. I had to take a paper napkin and dip it in my water glass. Under new management!

Babe's is surrounded by the usual chain restaurants. This is a great one off BBQ restaurant. Amazing food, drinks and desserts with very cool decor. The food service was very quick, the staff was very friendly. I would highly recommend Babe's.

Ridiculously expensive and the portions are small. The food was ehhh its was okay. The brisket was gave to my husband in a chuck and was dry, the tri tip was over cooked, they only have one type of BBQ sauce. If I'm paying $32 for 3 meats and 2 sides that only feeds one person it better be wonderful. Only positive was that the pint of beer was good for $6. It was my anniversary with my husband and we left extremely disappointed that we choose to celebrat here.

Great place! Great BBQ. Great craft microbrew. Great bar. Great staff. Great place to eat - lunch or dinner Great place for parties. I personally love their pulled pork sliders with fries and baked beans. The desserts are amazing. Meals come with fresh homemade sorbet to clean your palette
