Servers dont seem to enthused to be here. Soup had hardly any mushrooms or scallions. The gyoza was watery and under steamed, still cold in the middle. Sushi (crabmeat) was pretty good. The fried rice was luke warm and the chicken teriyaki was dry and seemed to be microwaved.

The food was good but the service was horrible. The reason it gets a one star is because the place appeared to be understaffed. After complaining to the owner, he started yelling at the sushi chefs and it had nothing to do with them. Our waitress also had to wait tables in the habachi grill and was taking numerous orders and dealing with a full table and simply could not get to us.

The only reason I gave it a 4 is because their waitstaff are horrible. I mean ... Every single time I eat there we get someone who doesn't smile, has no personality..my just an order taker. But the food is the best I've had. The food is the reason I keep going back. Wow. The best yum yum sauce... The best sushi and the best hibachi. The hibachi chefs, although repetitive using the same old material... are always friendly and upbeat. I will continue to go as long as their recipes don't change

Closed before posted time, made us drive a bit out of the way to eat. Returned the next day just my two children and I. Hibachi chef was great with the kids and made them laugh! Waitor was great! Was inconvenienced by the night before though because we had drove 4 hours and set out to eat dinner there......

If I could give zero stars I would! We are regular customers and have a family of 6 so you can imagine we spend a lot of money at Yoshis to eat. Within a 3 month time period that we have eaten there the food has been UNFIT to eat!!! The server nor manager if you want to call him a manager refuse to try to offer us any sort of comp for our food. We're not asking for free meals but maybe a discount for the OVER COOKED steak that we always get or the BURNT rice that seems to be the norm for them! We may not be every day or weekly customers but they have lost our business for sure! And telling the manager tonight he didn't even care! That's not management that's a greedy person who only care about money not his business and customers!! I would not recommend anyone to eat there it's a waste of money!!!

As a former restaurant employee for over 20 years, I can honestly say that this is one of the best experiences I've had in a very long time. Our waiter Christian was nothing less than excellent. He had a great attention to detail, you took such good care of us I completely forgot and I was eating out LOL. The Hibachi Grill was delicious and my steak was prepared rare perfectly. Everyone in my party adults and children alike had a great time and enjoyed some delicious cuisine. Make sure to ask for Christian when you go in it will definitely take good care of you. I will refer Yoshi's to everyone that I talk to you for quite some time.

I eat sushi on a regular basis and I live in Florida and New York, so I can tell you that this was the furthest thing from a Sushi bar. Fish wasn't cut properly and served on a bed of spiral cut carrots. Tasted like it was a day away from spoiling. Choked it down because the Mother in law lives here and wanted to take is out for a nice dinner. Next time I'll suggest the KFC buffet instead.

I just called to make a to go order and the man I spoke with tried to tell me I couldn’t order something because they didn’t have it but it’s clearly on the menu. I proceeded to order something else and also asked for yum yum sauce. I couldn’t understand him so I politely asked him to repeat himself. He was very rude with me. He said if I wanted sauce it was an extra $4!!!

I always thought if Yoshi as a more up scales restaurant with decent food. However, this time we order a bento box as I was craving beef teriyaki and the only way to get it was ordering the bento box. I would definitely not recommend the beef teriyaki from there as it tastes like store-bought sauce not homemade and it was horrible. The rest of the dish was just okay. I would not go there again as a food pretty mediocre for the price that they charge.

Went to get fried rice and steak. Asked for him to put the fried rice in a larger container so I didnt have to walk out with 8 small containers completely ignored me had to tell him my order like 8 times when i got the bags they had no lie about 2-3inch of steak juice. But speedy service though

Very good teppanyaki (Japanese steak house grill) in the little town of Mt. Home. They do a good job preparing the food. You will pay extra if you want both fried rice and noodles. If you have a family, the value is during lunch time. The sushi is good and prepared fresh. My family loves to dine here.

Have been eating here since it opened and I have to say the overall cleanliness and service has plummeted ! Food is still great but I think the management needs to step up the game on everything else

Food is ok unless you eat on sushi side then chicken is precooked and rice is microwaved and if a plate gets cold they just microwave the whole thing unless it's steak. They make the servers split their tips with the chefs and I someone they know try to give them a personal gift they still aren't allowed to keep it. The only way you get to keep anything is if your thier asain server or the chef. If someone hands the chef money they don't claim it or split it they pocket it. So let's say the chef is given a 5 and you leave a 5 for the server the chef gets 7.50 and the server gets 2.50. They dont pay the server extra when they dont make minum wage and over claim tips on taxes. They dont evens bother to learn female servers names they just call them girl. They serve tap water that taste like minerals if drank without ice. The soda machine nozzles are never cleaned and the carbonation is way off. If it wasn't for the new dishwashers a lot of things would not be getting properly clean. They are rude and don't care. Food is ok horrible management and horrible place to work.

Waiter was rude. Wanted to substitute rice for veggies and they wanted more to substitute than the side cost by itself. Seriously when is rice more expensive then the veggies. Didn't even have Coke products there. I wish there was a way to put negative stars because this place deserves it if anyplace ever did. We got up and walked out very unhappy. Fujiyama is much better and has great service.

I’ve visited this restaurant before, and while it wasn’t the best, it was certainly an above average experience; the food was good and the wait staff was decent. However, that was not the case on my most recent (and final) visit. It took about 30 minutes after arriving and being seated to be brought our drinks and place our order. Another 15 minutes passed before the chef came out and began cooking our food. That’s where it went downhill. The chef did not give either myself or my guest the correct order, which we paid extra for. I waited until after it was cooked, and we agreed to just get the check fixed. The waiter then argued when we brought up the issue and disputed that our order was incorrect. The worst part is the chef then corroborated the waiters story to the manager, who said we would pay the up charge whether we liked it or not. Overall, a terrible experience in every part. We will not ever be returning, go to Sakura in Batesville instead.

Almost always a good experience. Overall it's fun for the family and always friendly. Only 4 stars this time as our food was over seasoned (this is very rare for them) and our chef was kinda boring. He was very quiet and seemed distracted. We frequent this location and would definitely return based off of prior trips. Glad this wasn't our first experience or we may not have returned.

"Dante" was our chef, it was only his fourth day we were told, and he did a great job for us! Outstanding sushi and sashimi, very generous portions and the best noodles and rice I've ever had. Don't wonder, just stop and get satisfied!! Thank you Jamie, Dante, and the rest of the Yoshi crew, can't wait for my next trip!!

Our family loved to go to Yoshi's for lunch as it is a bit expensive for a family at dinner time. The food has always been excellent. They have had great turnover as far as cooks and the "show" during cooking has become almost non-existent. The cleanliness of this place is utterly disgusting; it has declined since the restaurant opening. The bathrooms haven't been cleaned since opening it seems. Keep in mind this was a brand new building when Yoshi's moved in. We love the food but will no longer go back because the place is so dirty. The manager needs to look up from his iPad and pick up a broom and rag!

Terrible. Salad was slimy and miso soup is from a cheap powder mix. Their yum yum sauce was a bland runny mayonnaise mixture. The chef strung juice all over the table, plates and drinks when he distributed the food. And he sprayed us with water?!? Never experienced that at a hibachi restaurant before. That was annoying. And the high chairs were all broken and dirty. Skip this place and grab a Big Mac instead. McDonalds is just up the road.

We enjoy eating there twice a month or so. The food is always well done, and the sushi is always fresh. The restaurant is always clean and we'll maintained we do enjoy the staff and they are usually very polite.

Decided to make the trip to Mountain Home for some more restaurant selections on Mother's Day. First things first, we went during the normal lunch hours, however they decided to only make the dinner meals available for that day. We were already on the close to an hour waiting list and decided no big deal, its mothers day, we're here, and a couple extra bucks per plate isn't going to kill us. So after waiting for a half hour I noticed that there were empty tables. I thought to myself maybe they were reserved. Turns out they weren't, in the sushi area you could seat yourself... silly me asking for a waiting time and then not determining on my own that there were two separate lists. Oh well, so things were off to a rocky start but not too bad. Granted we waited 45 minutes for no reason but we had our seats and were ready to have some Japanese cuisine for the first time since we moved out to the mid-west. After sitting down, we were served our drinks relatively fast however practically had to walk into the kitchen to get some napkins and silverware. The service was awful BUT I don't blame the staff, our server was polite, attentive, but utterly overwhelmed. I noticed the management being very lackadaisical on a busy holiday. I believe this also had its effect in the kitchen. You could easily tell each part of the dish was cooked at very different times. Between the three of us we had chicken, steak, scallops, salmon, and shrimp. All of which seemed to take different turns under a heat lamp. The sushi was the only saving grace of the meal, even though it took over an hour to get to us. We wound up paying almost $80 for two adults and one child. The soup, salad were acceptable. The sushi was good. The main course was poorly planned out and parts were inedible. Perhaps the food is better on a day that the staff isn't so rushed by the amount of patrons and the management can afford to move at such a pace. I doubt I would go back but if I did it would only be for sushi, on a weekday, excluding Fridays.

Where do I begin. When we arrived our waiter was quite personal and actually nosy. My husband had got a phone call from a family member regarding a family emergency. The waiter didn't seem to understand that we could talk and order at that moment. I inquired if the steak was Teriyaki he said that it was. Actually it was not at all. It was actually quite bland and didn't have much flavor. The thing I have to say that upset me the most was an empliyee walking around the dining room bussing tables and chatting to customer vaping and blowing smoke everywhere. Really not OK in my book.

I love places like these. This one has great food too! They used to be pretty popular but lately they seem to be dead all the time which means there is often times a wait for the hibachi during lunch. Not ide but manageable, and not why I gave it a 4 star. I have a theory that the reason no one comes here is the atmosphere or aura. The staff are nice the tables clean and decor not bad so I don't mean any of that. What I mean is some of the, what appear to be managers or owners bring a sense of dread to the place. They just seem upset or mad all the time. It doesn't seem to bother the staff however. I recommend the sushi and seafood here. It's as fresh as it can be in this landlocked state.

We took my husband here for his birthday, he likes it there. I was too sick to really enjoy it, but from what I could taste, the food was good. They were having an off day with their sushi, but from what I understand, that isn't normal from them. Our waiter was nice, the chef was entertaining, but mildly inappropriate with his humor. My husband and I eat here very frequently and we drive 45 mins JUST to go here because this place is his absolute favorite hibatchi dine in. He travels and eats many hibatchi grills but still says this one is top of all. His food of choice is always hibatchi steak we both like it very much. Good servicing always. Great food. Great cooks. I was told they had good sushi but the waiter at the front is so rude, I can’t enjoy being here. The man at the front was watching a video when we came in on his phone and asked us what we wanted. He then missed what we said because he was watching the phone and then got frustrated. We decided to order to go and when paying I gave him an American Express card first. He threw it down and said we don’t accept that. I think he’s just having a bad day but... He definitely should know he’s passing along that bad energy. I haven’t eaten the food yet, so I have no idea about that, but I can say that the service I receive is the worst I’ve ever had.

Me and my husband went to yoshi's last night for the first time let me just say it takes alot to impress us and wow we were very impressed the food the cook the hibachi grilling was amazing the waiter was very focus on making sure we had everything we need. Insider information. There's ben an opossum loose in in the restaurant for three days. They serve "vegetarian" food with teriyaki which has beef both. One of them smokes in the kitchen. They will serve you shrimp that has been left out all night. The clear soup is basically soy sauce and water. If you "substitute" something on a plate, they just charge you to add it. Not take some away for subtracting. The only thing worth buying is the lobster dinner. They lose money on that.

Service was lacking. Waitress and waiters were playing with their phone's rather than tending to customers. Not kid friendly. No changing tables in restrooms. Waitress was very difficult to communicate with. I asked for a side order of plain noodles without sauce and was given the opposite. When I asked she claimed it wasnt "possible" to give me noodles without the sauce....that makes zero sense. She only came by the table one time at the end to give us our checks. Food was okay but would not recommend this place to anyone.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have experienced in my life. I ordered a to go hibachi chicken and shrimp and received maybe 3-4 pieces of vegetables and 4 tiny shrimp with a small amount of chicken and rice. The man who runs the place lies and acts like he doesn't understand what you are saying when he doesnt want to answer your questions. When asked about getting the white sauce to go he says theres no sauce to go. We had to bribe him with money to be able to get a tiny cup of sauce to go and he still acted like he didnt know what we were talking about. Not usually someone to complain, but the service was just horrendous. Also likes to make up their own hours. On the sign it says they are open till 9pm. We went after work at 0815 and they would not seat us and said that they closed at 0830 for winter hours which is complete bs.

Yoshis is the place to go for hibachi. Their noodles and rice is always the best. I go after work pretty often and rarely wait to get seated for the food prep to begin. It has all the classic staples of a hibachi restraunt, very fun cooks and they do some tricks I haven't seen before. They also have a quick side if you don't want the show. Food is excellent, everyone wants more of that yummy yummy sauce!

Usually food is great, today though, the chicken was so bad I had to send it back. It tasted as if you were to eat it, it would make you physically ill. I took one bite and had to spit it in my napkin. It tasted old, hard, and freezer burnt. The sushi was alright.

Horrible service. Waiter was rude from the moment we walked in. When asked about an item on the menu, his responce was, "I don't know, I'm not the cook" not a great way to start things. Also, we asked for clean forks, because the 1st set was spotty/dirty, he brought back the same forks we sent back. Finally asked anther waiter to bring us clean forks. Our waiter never refilled our drinks. When we finally got the check he practically threw the ticket on the table, no the edge of the table because it fell on the flood. All he said was, "my apologies" and walked ff without picking it up. The food was not great either. Especially from the almost $30 I spent on fried rice and a sushi roll. Not only will I never go back to this Resturant, but I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone.

My friends and I occasionally have lunch here. The food is usually very good, but does tend to be better on the hibachi grill rather than the normal tables. Not sure why but it doesn't taste as fresh when it's made in the back. They have a bento box that includes a variety of things if you're unsure of what to get, and most things come with miso soup and salad. The price is also alright, especially for lunch, and nowhere near as bad as hibachi in other areas. I would still suggest it if you like hibachi as it is good food, but preferably go when you have time to sit at the grill.
