Tokyo is an Awesome place! I go when i can afford it because the service is great and very friendly. i usually sit at the sushi bar and the guys are polite and have no problem having a conversation. I have taken my kids and eaten at the hibachi side and they loved it.

We heard this place was decent, so we went. The server was not great. My husband's food came out first and mine took another 10 minutes or so after that. The sushi was not fresh on any level. They sat a family next to us with a screaming child and the mother was standing in front of our booth the whole time bumping a screaming baby on her hip. The waiter kept forgetting our items which made us have to stay longer. By midnight I had thrown up (from that questionable sushi I'm sure), and now day 2, I'm still sick. I knew better than to eat sushi in Cabot, but this was a nightmare.

Unfortunately tonight's experience was way off.. We came in to dine in the traditional side, not the hibachi.. Got there at 9pm they close at 930.. My wife ordered the hibachi steak asked for it to be well done, I ordered the teriyaki chicken. They bring out mine first, the chicken was a little rubbery, the broccoli was hard and the fried rice was decent. Then my wife's dinner was brought out. Instantly, we can see the steak was brown but red juice covered, we cut into it and the center is blood red, it's only brown on the outer 1/8"... the server had left, I find another and asked if this could be cooked more, please cook to well done. The hostess returns with the meal, still looks to be less than well done.. We cut into it again and it's just as red.. We asked the hostess can you please cook this through? she begins to argue that "if it's well done, it will be tough... No one likes it tough.. This is done" , my wife says I want this to be well done not red.. She says "this is done, I don't know what to do?" We said we would like a box and we will cook it at home.. Never before had we experienced this here.. We have ate many times at the grill and once before from the kitchen. I know if you order a steak well done often times it has to be sent back, I get that.. But to have her argue and tell us this is done, this is what you get.. This is completely unacceptable.. I don't believe we will ever go back.. I shouldn't have paid for it.. I tried to speak calm and let her know what we wanted and she only wanted to restate what most people want.. Sadly she doesn't realize all customers are different and should get what you pay for...

Ordered a meal to go. I ordered the Pad Thai. What I received was not pad thai. What I got was inedible beef chunks with noodles covered in lime and egg. No peanut, no scallions. Complete garbage.

I don't normally leave reviews, especially not bad reviews but this is by far the worst and cheapest Hibachi restaurant I have ever been to. The meat was cheap, the vegetables were not fresh, and the service was not great either. I will never eat here again.

I had simple teriyaki steak and fried rice. Hard to mess up, right? Except that the meat was freezer burned or just old and tasted absolutely horrible. Rice was edible but far from good. The best part? The waitress refused to make eye contact even though she looked at my untouched plate the whole meal. Garbage and garbage service. That explains why there were 4 cars in the lot at 6 PM. I do hear the sushi roll is good. Oh yeah, onion soup tastes like its flavored with oyster or something. Nasty fish taste. Ranch on the salad ran like it was water. Just so much wrong.

We have tried this place three times and will not be back. We have yet to get any good food. Bland sushi, mushy rice (DO NOT order the pineapple fried rice) the soup seems to be almost entirely water. The service is not friendly and the restaurant is dark (and not in a romantic setting way, more in a what kind of filth are they hiding way). There are soooo many better restaurants to go to.

Our server, David, did the best he could, but I just can't recommend this restaurant. The onion soup and salad were very good, but out of the three entrees ordered, only one was as good as anticipated. My Pad Thai, the noodles were fine, tho they don't taste like any Pad Thai I've had anywhere else. The beef was extremely bland. And my son's chicken tempura was just as bland. I'm not talking about level of spice-heat. I mean bland, like no seasoning at all was used. What was actually so irritating is that there was such a huge gap in time between each of the entrees coming out. I have no training in how restaurant kitchens run; I can't guess at a solution. But politeness dictates waiting until everyone has their dish before eating, which means letting food get cold while we wait, or encouraging others to be rude. Meanwhile, the hangry person's entree comes out last. We don't recommend the restaurant, we will not be back, this was not David's fault, he was awesome.

I ordered the crawfish roll and my crawfish roll had no crawfish in it. So I say something to waiter and he says they are low and trying to be conservative. Um ok but there is NO CRAWFISH IN IT! If he knew that before hand he could have said sorry we don't have crawfish at this time and I would have moved on. They didn't offer to take it off the bill or ask if I wanted something else. Just trying to pull a fast one on me and hope I don't notice. I would not give it one star but I made me. This is the second time I have are there and the food was not what it was supposed to be either time. Most people don't know the difference that's why they get away with it ALL THE TIME. I hope you go out of business soon and quit ripping people off.

First, my HOT tea was luke warm and was sent back 2 times. Our chef did not perform a show and there was even a child at our table. He barely spoke to any of us. Then, my son, who took me there for my birthday, was denied his stupid little 10% off because he didn't spend 50.00 or more (the sign didn't state that). He did, however spend 48.50 cents so he was encouraged to buy a desert to push up the charges... eh... no thanks. The salad was watery and the ginger dressing was "ODD". the food was way over salted, I could not eat my salmon it was so salty. The Tokyo Garden in Little Rock is way better and a better value. We will not return. Our waitress, however, was VERY nice and VERY apologetic. This was the worst birthday dinner ever and the first one my son paid for by himself. He felt terrible for taking me there. I felt terrible that we didn't just drive on into Little Rock. Again, we won't be returning there.

Ok I have eaten here many times haven't gone wrong with hibachi unlesssssss it's a new cook.. And if you order hibachi Togo it's a super small portion which sucks.. The staff isn't always the best at remembering what you ask for I see why they need help. The sushi the one time I had it was horrible.. They drown the salads in too much dressing... The soup is bland... Other than the good hibachi cook it's a three and could use improvement.. Still so much better that the other hibachi place in Cabot

My poor rating is strictly about the inconsistency of the food and the use of Yum Yum sauce on everything. The cooks need to be better trained. The restaurant needs to set a standard for what exactly is added on each dish (fried rice, shrimp, steak, etc), and how much. The food Is EXTREMELY different from one cook to the next. Some of the cooks add yum yum sauce to EVERYTHING. The rice, chicken, shrimp. Some over salt/add too much soy sauce to the meat. The last cook we had added so much Yum Yum Sauce to the chicken, it was swimming in yum yum sauce. Yum yum sauce soup. For the love of god, please stop adding yum yum sauce to everything. For example, shrimp with just lemon and butter or a little ginger. Something more refined than just dumping yum yum sauce. Have Yum Yum as an option to dip the food in, so customers don’t have to ask to not have it on anything (I have asked, and the cooks usually forget until it is too late). Utilize your mustard and ginger dipping sauces more. Last are the prices, Benihana prices without the quality taste. I really want this restaurant to succeed. They are already doing well. Believe they would do even better if they addressed what I outlined above.

i usually go there and eat rice as a carry out. its not the best rice but fills my stomach. i give it a 1 star because one time i went there and changed it up and got a smoked salmon meal and later that night i was throwing up from my work place. it was so bad i just went home and since i havent been back there. if they had food that didnt make me throw up id keep going back for sure

Terrible Service! Terrible food!!! The sushi fell apart as soon as u put chopsticks to it, Our filets were full of fat! (Filets should have no fat, that's typical knowledge) and the broccoli in the veggies tasted like it was frozen over twice! we didn't complain, because both my sister and I are servers, we NEVER complain!!! We asked for our checks, (and yes at the beginning of our meal we did tell our server that The check would be split between her and I!) she asked how the check was gonna be split, we told her exactly how it should be, my sis and I ordered the SAME EXACT things, therefor only u had to split my moms meal!!! Not that hard!!! After 15 mins, we got our checks! Each were around $32 it was written IN PEN +51.33 on both of our checks!!! Really? You wrote in the rest of the amount? Not even a receipt of itemization???? So we asked for the FULL check with itemization... After waiting 30mins and 3 people at the computer trying to figure it out, we got our checks again, we were charged for the wrong things! Which would've had us paying 30 dollars more than original! We told her it was wrong again and after waiting 20 mins longer, we went to the front desk! We asked if there was a manager "no we don't have a manager here" ok! So my sister called after we left, and the boy that told us in the beggining, that no manager was there, was suddenly a manager "but not really, the manager was on vacation" so I called back to get the young boys name so we could call back the next day, suddenly it was another manager!!!! Hmmm I gave my complaint! She told me she has never had a complaint about the food and that the server has had many complaints, she is new... I told her I found it hard to beleive about the food... She offered a gift card, in which in return I told her a gift card was useless to me!!! I would never dine there again!!! My complaint was never to get anything for free, I pay for what I order no matter the situation!!!! I understand!!! I AM A SERVER!!! My sister in return called to talk to the owner, and because she didn't agree to come back down there and talk to her (we both live 30 mins away as it is) he hung up on her!!!!! We would NEVER step foot in that place again!!! I will add that my sis and I dine out 3-4 nights a week, take care of our servers more than plenty every time! Even for bad service!!!! I love their honey chicken dish, however its only served on the childrens menu. I agree with other reviews in the regard the prices are high even just for dining in with out the hibachi. My kids love the restaurant which is the main reason I go. The Hibachi experiance is a usually always our best time.

My husband and I just went to Tokyo for the second and last time. The first time we went it was fairly good. We didn't care for the vegetables and had to add a large amount of yum yum sauce and soy sauce to our fried rice to make it taste good. The sushi and steak was good enough that we decided we would go back. I can safely say we won't be back after our second trip. Our sushi this time was warm and the vegetables were so terrible they tasted rotten. We more than likely would have sent it back if it weren't for the lady we heard in the kitchen screaming constantly that made us want to leave as quickly as possible. When we asked the waitress about it she said "Oh, it's her birthday." If all of that weren't bad enough, on our way home my husband had to stop to throw up because of the rotten vegetables. We will never go back, hands down the worst experience we've ever had at a restaurant.

Do not order take out at dinner time! The lunch hibachi is priced well and tastes great; however the dinner hibachi must be cooked by a different chef. It is tasteless and has smaller portions of veggies and rice as well as being 3x the price as lunch. The supper portion of chicken hibachi is priced around $18 and is something you could easily whip up in your own kitchen. The staff is also fairly unresponsive to complaints.

Do not go here if you do not like Great food. Nor the helpful staff or talented cooks. The sushi is amazing! (I have almost tried them all-it's a work in progress) They are friendly and attentive. The restaurants atmosphere is pretty cool too. If you like it as much as my family does you can find yourself eating here more often than you would like leading to withdrawal symptoms when your unable to go. Tell Jamie I sent you.

Tiny portions for prices that are too high. I had to ask my server for chopsticks and bowls for soy sauce. No, that's not a huge deal, but when I'm paying $11 a roll I kind of expect to get these things without asking. I'd much rather pay more and go to Kemuri in Little Rock. Yeah, it's more expensive, but the quality is along and the sushi portions are massive. I won't be returning.

Probably the biggest waste of money I've ever spent. If you are going to charge those prices you better give awesome service and food. Won't ever go back. Waited probably 45 mins to get our food. 10 mins just to get drinks. Bathrooms were nasty. Definitely don't recommend it. And this was just sitting in the dining area not the grill. Ridiculous!
