I've heard so many positive things about this place, but... My food was very bland and not much pulled pork. I had the nachos. I estimated about 1/4 cup of meat on it! The Styrofoam container was full of chips! Not impressed, at all. The place is cozy and quaint and the service was outstanding.

Sorry but this is som of the nastiest barbecue i have ever ate , it was dry and definitely needed the sauce to make it eatable, wanted ribs but they were out , how does a place known for ribs run out . There was little to no smoke flavor in the food . It tasted like it was reheated in a microwave and dry. The only thing good was the potato salad . Would not recomend this place for barbcue. Service was great but the food not so much .

I lived in Texas for a year so I will never be the same when it comes to BBQ brisket and pulled pork. That is the benchmark I use. I just got some pork, brisket and ribs (to go} and I will say the ribs were very good, meaty, juicy and a fair amount of smoke. The brisket was chopped, a little dry and had a reheated flavor. It had a mild smoke and seasoning flavor and definitely needs sauce to make it work. The pork was the same flavor profile, including the reheated flavor, and was barely warm but that was ok since I was saving it for later. My ranking would be ribs 8/10, brisket 4/10, pork 5/10 and service 10/10. I will go back only for the ribs.

Amazing service, amazing food, just amazing everything here! I have been to every BBQ place in town and this is the only one I go to anymore. You can't go wrong ordering anything on their menu, trust me! Don't think twice about it, if you want some great BBQ and some southern hospitality to go with it, this is the place!!!

Delicious food. The portions are very large and the prices are reasonable. The specials on different days are all great as well. I especially love the chicken and sausage. The homemade BBQ sauce is absolutely amazing. My only complaints are the constant Christian music and the odd hours on most days (10am till 2pm). Great for lunch, inconvenient for a midweek dinner.

Love this little place. They have excellent tamales, great salsa, and that is all before you get around to talking about the BBQ. If you like your sauce a little spicy, then ask for the spicy, it is not that hot and adds a fantastic flavor. The potato salad is the white kind with the baked potato ingredients so it is fantastic!

Food is adequate but pricey for what you get. The only thing made on site is their meat - everything else is packaged. Don't order extra salad dressing - you will pay for it. Don't order water - you will pay for it. I was told they have to pay for the cup, lid and straw...

One of the worst experiences I've ever had at a bbq joint. Ordered the stuff. Came with almost no meat! It was all beans, no cheese, no jalapenos, just plain pork n beans! If you tell the customer what comes on it, you should make damn sure they get what was ordered!

This place is incredible and ran by some of the finest people you will meet! The food selection is rather broad for BBQ, but each item is still delicious and crafted to perfection. Whether you order the traditional entrées (pulled pork, chopped brisket, etc) or try their specialties like the Pine Knot (it's the epitome of BBQ all loaded onto a sandwich), you won't be disappointed! The atmosphere of the location is casual and inviting with a friendly southern theme. To top it off, it's very affordable too!

The meat was tender with smoked flavor. It tasted really good and the bbq sauce made it taste even better. My mom and me stopped by on our way home to try it out after my mom's cousin who lived in the area recommended it. I ordered the The Lumber Jack Sampler (all meat) and my mom ordered the Wood Shed Tater. I was a little dissapointed that there was no vegetables that came with the lumber jack sampler, you had to order that seperate if you wanted veggies. I only give 3 stars due to we ordered extra Lumber Jack Sampler to go to take home to my brother. 3 times I asked if the sauce was in it. Was told yes it was. When we got home it was not there. This was an all meat plate and no sauce. I was lied to 3 times and that is unacceptable. If they had put the sauce in the plate to go like they said they did, then they would have received higher rating from me, but since they didn't and lied about it, then they don't get higher rating.

My husband and I always enjoy eating at the Wood Shed. I like the Wood Shed 'Tater with brisket while he usually eats a pork Sa'mich which is piled high with meat and slaw. The people who own and work there are friendly and eager to serve you.
