What a wonderful restaurant! Better than the Little Rock locations. Cheese burger was spectacular. The booths are nice and spacious. Waiters are friendly and attentive. I came with a school group of 1st-3rd graders and they were very patient with our kids. The kids menu is a great deal and come with a drink. Great experience!

The food was great! Restaurants staff welcoming, but didn't let me know of an alternative exit. A bit over priced. Getting to the restaurant was quite difficult too. Being handicap with no handicap parking close or ramps to get up to the restaurant wasn't fun. Updated: If there was an entrance for handicap that would have been helpful to know. With it storming outside not one employee informed me that there was an alternative exit. The signs that you say were there were not visible enough for someone sitting our standing to see.

Fun place! Menu is mostly burgers and fried stuff, plus an extensive and heavenly dessert menu! The ice cream is fluffy and delicious. There are a ton of shakes (including alcoholic) that are pretty fabulous. We loved the signature purple vanilla ice cream.

A colleague recommended The Purple Cow in Hot Springs. Checked out the menu online and the location was close to my hotel. Went around 7 pm, and was promptly seated. Waitress Brenda was very helpful and friendly with the variety on the menu. I started with a cup of the chili, and enjoyed it. Ordered the Best Smoked Club sandwich, but opted not to do the usual side of potato chips. Instead I got a side of fried green beans. (Having chili, the smoked club and fried beans may not have been the wisest for my stomach later, but I enjoyed them.) Finally, added a chocolate soda for a drink/dessert (re-living my childhood when DQ used to make them). Decent portions, good prices, and convenient location. Hope to visit again.

I don’t understand the draw of this place. My youngest loves coming, if only for the purple milkshake. Their slogan: “We never claim to be fancy, but we always promise to be good” is sort of true. The food is nothing special. I believe all of it I could make at home and it taste exactly the same, if not better. I have a hard time paying $7.00 for a ham sandwich and chips. I want to eat something I can’t recreate at home. The soda fountain/ice cream I guess is the real star of the show. They serve Yarnell’s ice cream, which is good. Overall, it’s a “meh” place. My oldest daughter always complains when my youngest wins and we go.

Great meals and services! There is something for everyone on the menu (including my vegetarian child) and they try to customize it to your specifications. When there you have to try the signature Purple Cow milkshake (an actual purple milkshake)!

Bathroom was awful, tables not busted , kitchen area dirty stuff on the floor and wait staff walking around!! Husbands drink never refilled, burger was awful!!! On the bright side my fried pickles were good!!! Last trip :-(

We showed up with our dog to have dinner on the patio. It was a little chilly, but that didn't stop our service and food from being amazing. Our waiter even offered to bring a bowl of water for our pup. I used to frequent the little rock location for a dog friendly, and all around great dining experience. This branch is just as good, and we will definitely be coming back.

This location was clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The patty melt was delicious! The regular chips are Ruffles brand and the fresh-cut are thick and fried in house. They are really crispy! Looks like this location has a party room for birthdays or large groups.

Great food, cool atmosphere, hidden gem of hot springs. Milk shakes were amazing, and even had beer. Literally, something for everyone from start to finish. Prices were good too. Kids loved it, will be a definite return trip every time we come back. Service could have been a little better, but the food made up for it. Just a little slow on drinks.

Pros: Friendly staff. Good food. Fun atmosphere. Milkshakes are hand made and delicious!! Try the PB&J shakes; you won't be disappointed. Fried pickles were a special treat as well. Cons: A bit pricey ($45) for meal pictured. Son added bacon and egg to his burger and we changed our sides (comes with chips). So we could have made it cheaper. But honestly it felt worth it. Very good experience overall.

My kids and I LOVE this place! Homemade chips and queso is a delicious appetizer, their grilled cheese sandwich is to die for, and you can't leave without either a purple vanilla milkshake or a scoop of purple vanilla ice cream! One topping is free, so my kids always get sprinkles as well. Honestly, this ice cream is the best... It's got a light and airy taste to it, almost the texture of whipped cream. Purple Cow never disappoints. Their turkey burgers are also great!

Food was mediocre. I've had better burgers, but that wasn't the problem. I came with a big family, and they didn't want to accommodate us from the minute we walked through the door. When ordering, we were rushed and service was subpar. Multiple orders came out incorrect, and when asked for refills, we were constantly ignored. Not every server was bad because others came and helped but if a person is hired to serve then they should be aware of how to handle big parties. Maybe on another night service would be better. I'd give it another try.

The Purple Cow is just your regular hamburger joint and it sits right across from a college campus bringing in the younger crowd. But, you'll find an eclectic mix of college kids, families and oldsters. The staff is extremely welcoming and warm, the ambiance fun. The dessert menu offers an abundance of sure to widen your hips goodies, plus one aptly named Purple Cow ice cream...which is actually purple vanilla ice cream accompanied by sure to please your purple sweet tooth! Come on in, you'll be tickled...purple!

Group of 5 of us were first time customers. We came for brunch and were disappointed in our experience. The atmosphere was inviting with an old diner feel, and the hostess, Emma Dee, sat us promptly and was friendly. However, the service overall was mediocre at best. We watched as our food sat in the window while servers stood in front of them chatting. They didn’t run food that was not theirs, which to us was uncommon in our past experiences in the food industry. Our server, Meghan, messed up a couple of our orders even after writing it down, but we didn’t get a chance to tell her as she set down our food and quickly walked away. While a manager was fixing the orders, she returned to ask if we needed refills on drinks still full and didn’t notice a few in our party were now sans plates in front of them. It wasn’t until the manager returned with the fixed orders that she realized anything was wrong. Food was okay. For a stress-free experience, I recommend sticking to ice cream related items as the root beer float was my favorite thing had here. May try again and hope it will be a better experience.

On the menu you'll find old fashioned shakes, malts and ice cream desserts of any kind. Or you can build your own. Dining for kids and adults of any age. But you will definitely score points with the kids if you hop on on this diner for a visit!

wont go below 1 star, my mother and I just left there and went somewhere else, waited 5 mins at the wait to be seated sign. 3 workers standing at the bar chatting and 1 of them made eye contact with me twice and continued to talk , would not recommend unless better workers/ managment. cant really fault the teen workers it would be managment for letting this happen.

We checked out the Purple Cow for the first time and it was worth it ! The food is great the staff is great and the environment is wonderful ! Definitely made our Go Again List ! Our two boys ages 5 and 2 loved it as well ! If you are looking for a 50's diner check this place out and while you are there grab a old fashioned banana split or a waffle cone with their signature purple icecream!

Managers seemed friendly, but we were seated for 15 minutes and basically ignored. No one took our drink orders, identified themselves as our server, nothing. If they were real busy I could understand, but the place wasn’t even half full, and there were 4 or 5 servers/employees just standing around in the kitchen waiting on food etc... We left, went next door to Longhorn steakhouse, and got great service there...

Best double chocolate milkshake I've ever had! Great customer service, as well as a great family atmosphere, however, all my visits have been during the day. The chicken fried chicken sandwich is my fave meal here. Its a huge tasty fried chicken breast on a fresh bun, made how you want. The setup is a tad crowded, but the shake is worth it.

Definitely one of Conway's best burger/sandwich joints nicely situated in the older downtown area. The decor resembles a flash from the past complete with neon accents and a 1950s flare. Certainly casual and complete with music. Great service and good, not so healthy, fun food. The specialty shakes are tasty. The atmosphere is the biggest impression. This place is worth revisiting. Situated among a well maintained portion of the historical town with beautiful streets. A great memory making place.

Brought my children in for lunch and felt pretty unwelcomed by our server. Did not offer us dessert and when we ordered it she asked if she should pack it to go, making me feel rushed. One of the best customer service experiences I have had in a while. The food was delicious. There was amazing diversity on the menu for a burger place. Haley , our server, was amazing. I'm not a huge fan of The Cow, hardly ever is it on the destination list. Discovered this location on the campus of Hendrix University in Conway during a weekend basketball tournament. It's a convenient walk from the Wellness and Athletics Center for a quick bite between games without having to lose your parking space. Being somewhat new, it's certainly the nicest of their locations AND it's the quietest. Can't say much for the food - standard fare if you're familiar with the menu. I recommend the Grilled Chicken Caesar Sandwich and the Rueben is always a good bet anywhere - usually hard to mess that up. There are other dining choices in the vicinity and we'll be checking those out next time.

Shared a meal with 2 others. Salad was fresh, greens were crisp, fruit and veggies were fresh, dressing was flavorful. Soup was hot and tasty, chips were hot and crispy and were not greasy. Fun atmosphere with a fifties diner theme. Big draw is the purple vanilla milkshake. Burgers and sandwiches are served with chips, fries are extra. The chef salad was a big portion. When you call a place to deliver and they tell you they can't take your order because you didn't download their app that's B.S. if you don't want to take my order over the phone then you just lost a customer for life. Being in the food industry which has small profit margins I would think you would want to take my order but since you didn't I will never give you my business. And I hope everyone else who sees this will not order from you. Terrible practices!

This location is so underrated, it is truly one of the nicest establishments in this city. The employee attitudes are always great and welcoming and after many visits the food has never failed to disappoint. The milkshakes alone are worth a stop if you aren't one to enjoy the full diner experience. They even have dairy free options that are just as good as the others. Vegetarian friendly food as well. So many thumbs up!

This is a good place to get a burger and fries. All of ours were juicy and flavorful and the fries were good too. They were a bit on the soggy side, but we got our order to go so I'm sure that contributed to it. It was a little on the pricey side feeding a family of 5, but not out of the ordinary for this type of place. Definitely recommend the Five Alarm burger. Delicious habanero sauce.

First time I've ever been to Purple Cow & I loved it! Our server was super attentive & knowledgeable of the menu, with a great personality! The ambiance reminded me of a '50s diner, soda fountain and all! Only thing that could've set it fully is if they had mini jukeboxes on each table. I had the Caesar salad (delicious) and an Elvis shake, which is Yarnell's vanilla ice cream with peanut butter and banana! And you essentially get 2 for 1 bc so much is left, I brought some home!

Mac and cheese was Kraft. Applesauce was individual Mott's cups. Hot dog looked like it was also store-bought. Burger could've been a frozen patty. A lunch I could have easily made at home from store-bought, pre-made foods. I was very hungry when I walked in, and the food was edible, so it met that very low bar.

Favorite color is purple so when seeing "The Purple Cow" I was totally in. Upon entering the employees were so welcoming, we got seated by Tessa she was also our waiter very prompt with her customer service. Definitely had to try the purple vanilla shake taste as good as it looks. Only thing I wish they served there burgers with fries instead of ruffles, you can replace ruffles for fries for an extra charge but even then the burger it self is a bit pricey.
