I really enjoyed the entire experience ! Folks were very friendly... .plenty of easy, safe parking... Inside was nice and very clean.. The barbeque is a little bit east coast with the smoked ,tangy Base and a lotta Arkansas with very well smoked pork that was prepared perfect. Even the regular sized sandwich was a meal ...but tasted so good I will get the larger one next time so I can take it with me. The beans and Cole slaw were much like most folks offer. The Banana pudding was a treat. The only negative for me was the cold bun. Overall..price was a fair deal and quality and taste was better than I expected.

Stopped in here while killing time on a business trip. The value was just okay. I don't feel ripped off, I just didn't enjoy my meal. The pork on the sandwich wasn't very tender and the flavor of black pepper was too strong for my taste. The potato salad tasted vinegary, which I don't like. The smoky beans were pretty good. Their one dessert is cobbler which didn't appeal to me. Was hoping for banana pudding. Average BBQ.

Got the Jumbo Angus Beef sandwich and it literally tasted like I was eating a sloppy joe out of a can..... I honestly expected the food to be just average but for it to be that bad.. and this place has been on t.v you think the bbq would be...well actual BBQ! It’s so bad it confuses me!!

Fast service, was not busy when I got there. Wife and daughter liked the BBQ. I had the chicken sandwich. Next time I'll stick to BBQ pork. Pulled chicken would be better. Slaw was good, potato salad tasted like out of a box. Smoked beans could be a little sweeter , maybe a little hot sauce for some zip. Successful business that had been on TV so what do I know?

First time visit...food good but not great, they put sauce on the meat for you which I thought was odd...I ordered pork sandwich and beans...meat was a little dry but the portions were good, other than the small soda for $1.99. Like I said, it was ok but not the best I've had.

We used to live here, and we ate at the Mean Pig often. We were visiting and couldn't miss it. My wife and I always get the Smoked Frito Pie with medium sauce and everything on top. I meant to take a picture right away, but it was so good I couldn't get out my camera until we were both halfway done with our meals. The owner is genuinely friendly and always recognizes us when we come in. Sadly we might not get back this way for awhile, but we took a quart of medium sauce with us!

Great BBQ in Cabot, but I feel there are better options elsewhere in the state. Nothing against The Mean Pig at all. Staff is great and friendly, and their chopped pork is great (hence the 4 stars), however some options are underwhelming. No BBQ place does everything perfectly, but these guys get pretty dang close with their pulled & chopped pork offerings. Good sauce as well.

I was born in little rock and was fortunate enough to live in Cabot. I remember when this place was just a food truck. Best BBQ in the country. Even when I moved to Memphis, my family would make day trips just to get that perfectly smoked hog. Sadly, now the Air Force has moved me to Washington State, but I refuse to eat any other BBQ. I get my dad to ship it up here for me now. Hands down the best BBQ in the country. Buddy and the rest of the staff are always super nice and welcoming.

Grew up on McArthur in Cabot two houses down from the original owners. Been eating here before the building. Was a little let down when I had to add so much sauce cause the meat was a little dry and cool almost is it were a day old. Still excellent tasting sauces and the best baked beans ever!

For a place that has been featured on food network, I expected so much more from this place. The BBQ is ok...but I think all the hype is only due to the shut up sauce that is offered here. Wish they'd focus on flavor rather than spice. I usually douse food that tastes bad in hot sauce to cover up the flavor....think that's what we have going on here as well.

Great Local BBQ! I had the spicy ribs and baked beans and they were excellent! Dry rub is not usually my favorite, however these ribs were great! Fall off the bone but still very juicy and not overly smoked. They have a great BBQ sauce to go with them as well. The beans were great. All in all, definitely a place I would go back to when in Little Rock or Cabot.

Decent BBQ.. Friendly Service.. Good Sweet Tea. However ordered the side of ribs they were the worst ribs I've ever had in my life and I took them home and fed them to the dog. I have never eaten ribs this establishment and I don't know if it was just an off day or if this is the normal. But the ribs were all fat no meat and tasted horrible.

I would recommend Mean Pig to anyone. Not only is the food delicious, but the staff is wonderful (the owner spent 20 minutes chatting with my family) but they're also gluten free friendly. Dare to be brave? Ask for a sample of the Shut Up Sauce. It's tasty, but man is it hot.

Great food, but don't do the challenge! We went to the Mean Pig after seeing the episode of Man Vs Food where the host beat the challenge. My husband is from Little Rock, so we had planned for some time to visit the area. I prepared for the challenge with hot wing challenges, but found this was nothing like that! I ate 2/3 of the sandwich quickly before realizing this was burning my insides in a whole new way. I apologize if I become too graphic... I just about went to the hospital before being told they wouldn't do much for me. Apparently, the host of Man Vs Food did go to the hospital and they only assisted him with breathing. They can do nothing for the stomach. I had to choke down egg yoke to force the food back out as it kept me in terrible pain for hours. On a happy note, my mother-in-law, husband, and brother-in-law loved their sandwiches! The pulled pork was tender, juicy, and the sauce was flavorful. I'm sure I would have enjoyed that much more ;-P Also in the positive, the staff came to speak with us about the sandwich and were very friendly and kind.

Stopped here with the wife this afternoon - my first time. Not impressed with the food quality. I had a half rack of ribs that were dry and tough with a tinge of propane flavor. My wife's Frito chili pie was tasty but had an (personally) offputting flavor. Food will set you back about 12 dollars a person. I can't say that I'll be back any time soon based on this experience.

I’ve looked at some of your reviewers and have come to the conclusion they think they are paid good critics or something. Every tine I’ve eaten the ribs they have been tremendous. Their pulled pork is some of the best I’ve ever eaten and love their baked beans. The potato salad is made like a lot of people from the south make theirs. Love it!!! And if you don’t like what you are eating, tell Buddy, the owner. He will bend over backwards to make you happy.

The food is of course incredibly good barbeque. But the place is just fun to visit. I'd never seen a two story barbeque smoker before. The owner was very nice and gave us a small tour of the shop. Even let us try a toothpick dipped in the BBQ sauce known as "shutup juice" it's really good and hot.

The beans and potato salad where some of the best I have ever eaten. The ribs were the worst food of any kind that I have ever eaten. The outside was tough as a shoe. I can honestly say that I have never eaten ribs overcooked this much. If I had ate my ribs there instead of to go I would have gotten my money back. Bottom line is don't get the DRY AND TASTELESS RIBS! THEY SUCK.

This is some good BBQ! very quaint and unique place with lots to look at, you will find a lunch rush everyday. When not crowded, I found they are extremely personable as it's a locally owned business. Very good food, Pork sandwiches, slaw or no slaw, ribs... I'm drooling. Prices are slightly higher than typical fast food, it is worth every penny of it, wait till you taste it, you will want more.

Had some business in the Cabot area, so I stopped by to get some BBQ for a late lunch. Restaurant is clean and the staff is very friendly. I ordered the jumbo bbq pork sandwich and beans and potato salad for my sides. ( I am a potato salad junkie!) So first off got my food before I signed my receipt. So they are not lacking for speed of delivering the food. I took a bite of just some pork to see the flavors it had. I was a little disappointed in the level of smokiness I tasted. I enjoyed a bite of the whole sandwich much more. The beans (patented according to the menu!) were probably the best thing on my tray. Although I was left wanting more flavor. I was really disappointed in potato salad. Just a basic mustard based potato salad with large chunks of potato. Second time here and I am sure I will come back. Might try the smoked sausage next time to check it out!

Being from Minnesota this was the first BBQ place I've had in the "South". I've tried a lot of BBQ places in the 6 years I've lived here and The Mean Pig is by far the best BBQ restaurant hands down. I have personally been blessed to meet the owner of this place and I can tell you he is one hard working man! He puts all the love he's got into this food, his workers, family and friends. And on top of that he's there for his customers. He welcomes everyone with this big smile and a hug. Great food. Beware the Shut Up Juice Challenge. Its only $11.50 with tax, but don't let the low price fool you. This one means business. It takes an iron will and a cast iron stomach to succeed. I highly recommend this place for good BBQ.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! The Mac n cheese with pulled pork on top was fantastic, the sweet Bbq sauce was the best I've ever had and to top it all off, the little shortcake dessert cups were also delicious. The whole restaurant is decorated with meaningful decor and everyone was so friendly. The fact that the only utensil available is a spork is truly the cherry on top of this whole experience. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could.

We have been to a few BBQ places around Arkansas and we find this to be great. The service is fast and the workers here are always nice and willing to help you with what you need help with.

I went to Mean Pig with a large group of people and the service was Great even with a large group! I have food allergies and they were more than willing to tell me what was in everything. The owner was so nice and came out, introduced himself and talked to all of us. The price was good and we didn't have to wait long for the food to be ready. The sauce was tasteful and the Frito Pie was AMAZING! Thank You for the Great Service and Great Food! I will recommend to all and be back again very soon!

Worth the drive to Cabot from Russellville. The bbq is good all the way around. They have a hot sauce that is hot enough for anyone. It's hot enough you have to sign a waiver I'm not brave enough for that . Lol There mild sauce is the bomb! There sides are all good. The atmosphere is awesome as well. If you are in the Cabot area and like bbq check it out you will not be disappointed.
