I prefer my buns to either be steamed or grilled/toasted, and these simply tasted like they were direct from a package, no TLC with them at all. Otherwise, fantastic burgers, and home style fries, as well as plenty of topping options and two patty sizes. Neat decor and a convenient location.

Delicious place to stop in and grab a bite. This is a sit down restaurant, casual, and the waitresses are flirty. The food is amazing. The burgers are always so juicy and the fries fit the perfect combination of soft and crunchy. The bathrooms are always very clean and there is a lot of things to look at inside. First choice if you want burgers.

They have a great atmosphere and variety of food options available. I love looking at the old signs and historic pictures of Hope, AR when I come in. As for food, I personally enjoy their Mushroom Swiss Burger or their Reuben with a side of fries and a chocolate milkshake. They also have some delicious appetizers/sides like friend green beans, fried mushrooms, and fried pickles. The food is always good quality and the service is always friendly.

This was a surprising find. We found it on another service. We were not too sure driving through Hope. We got to downtown and we were assured. We knew we found a great place when we walked in. The burgers and other items we ordered were great, and the staff was engaging and friendly. I guess it deserves 5 stars. If you are near Hope and are hungry, go to Tailgaters.

Good fresh food. I eat a plant based diet and it's hard to find healthy options. The Mustang salad was real, fresh romaine lettuce with grilled chicken, tomatoes, black olives, purple onion and I had them add avocado when I saw they had an avocado burger. It was great! Only thing that would have made it better would have been colder lettuce and veggies. I suspect it was ready and waiting for the chicken to be grilled. Hubby's burger and fries were fresh and excellent quality. Great atmosphere even mid-afternoon.

We decided to go here after a tip from a past resident who particularly enjoyed it. The atmosphere is very well done, and the layout of the dining is great. Despite the restaurant being very busy at the time, and comparatively few staff, my order was taken very quickly. My only recommendation is to relocate the table near the condiment counter and drink tap. There is a bit of a logistical issue that results in a line for drinks while someone is getting sauce. Multiple times during my visit there was congestion from a patron attempting to make it to their seat from the restrooms, but then prevented by the drink line. The food was amazing and we had a very kind employee ensuring that we had everything we needed. The prices are a little higher than a typical American diner, but because of the quality and the family friendly atmosphere I wouldn't hesitate to visit again. Very well done!

Good, informal place to eat. But for a 1st time customer it would have been nice to have been told where drink dispenser, sweetener, catsup and utensils were. I had to figure all that out for myself. Also, waitress must have been new because she didn't seem to know which orders went to which customers. But, my club sandwich and hand-cut fries were good. Beware of the sweet tea dispenser. It is not sweet! If i happen to ever be in Hope again i would eat there if that's where my friends wanted to go. But i wouldn't go out of my way

I loved it! I came for lunch. Everything about this place, the food the staff. I like how the restroom looked like lol very nice and CLEAN ....I fell in love with the tail gate idea they are located on wall. I think it was creative...I will sure come again. I love it ,and you will too..fries were big and the sweet tea was fresh....clean place creative n friendly...Is worth it...

After a lackluster experience with a local hotel, I felt it would take a lot to improve my spirits. My husband wisely suggested this quaint eatery. Establishment is clean, charming and convenient to get to. Surrounded by greater "downtown Hope", Tailgaters delivered not only an aesthetically pleasing environment, but equally delicious food. Burgers were juicy, even the turkey burger - which is a difficult feat to accomplish in and of itself -, fries were REAL potatoes....not overly crisp, yet golden and satisfying. Server was extremely helpful in explaining our menu options, including options for low carb/gluten free diets. Highly recommend if looking for a not your usual "fast food while traveling" experience. While it couldn't assuage all of my hotel angst (I had to go back), Tailgaters provided an exemplary reprieve in environment and edibles.

The atmosphere is good with signs from long ago. Everyone in the zip code will tell you that Tailgaters won an award for their bacon cheeseburger. I tried the mushroom Swiss which was very good, but not what I would expect to be award winning. The home cut fries were tasty and crisp. The fried onions strips were not impressive. The fried dill pickles were average.

The best hamburgers you will get in Hope Arkansas for sure. The inside had a neat layout that was eye catching and felt interesting to look at. The menu has lots of choices and has a kids menu. It's decor is striking, owners have taken previous structure back to the original brick. Food great with many choices of burgers and dogs. For the burgers you can get any choice in one of three sizes. Pricing is also very reasonable.

This was somewhat of a mixed bag for my wife and I. Slow service, despite being past peak hour and about four tables occupied. I ordered the Arkansas "prize winning" bacon cheeseburger. It was a 4 out of 5, but the fountain drinks (off flavor on both Coca-Cola and iced tea) and fries were nothing to write home about, perhaps a 2 out of 5 on both of those. With the slightly higher than market price for these items and the somewhat "meh" food, we won't be back.

Really cool little stop only a few lights from the highway. They have a covered outdoor area that would be nice to dine in the evening, with a super cool small town feel. My burger had a bit too much mayo and was a bit small (so be sure to get the 1/2 lb), otherwise it was very good!

I've eaten there before and I would have given it a 5 star rating, but this time, I ordered a jalapeno cheese burger and it was covered in so much orange colored sauce that I had to use two napkins to wipe my hands off after every bite. Makes your burger much less enjoyable. I'll go back, but this time was very disappointing. Especially when you drive thirty miles to eat there.

What a great place to eat. On our way to Memphis from Dallas and had to stop and try it. Good burgers, great boom sauce, and the fried pickles were terrific. Next time we go this way we plan to stop and have some good food along with wonderful service. This may be a place for Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives to visit. I thought it was that good.

Not a bad place to go given the options in Hope, AR. The price point was a bit high for the proportion. However, we were not disappointed. It's a decent burger but nothing outstanding to make me come back. If you are passing thru in a pinch, it's a solid place to grab a bite.

A very nice place with an expanded menu that includes many daily specials. Its very clean, affordable, tasty; has indoor and outdoor seating but right next to the railroad tracks and a crossing so the horns blow a lot. It's kind of a quaint feeling though being next to an old depot too. I just wouldn't plan on a professional business call, but you're on lunch anyway!

This is absolutely the best burger in Hope, AR. I did not want to do a fast food burger place for lunch so I figured I'd give Tailgaters Burgers a try. I am glad I did... I had the mushroom and swiss hamburger with fried okra and a little ranch for the okra. Very good burger and the okra was awesome. This place has awesome car themed decor. I really enjoyed it - the service was outstanding. Worth having lunch at.

The food here is pretty good. I think most people come here for the burgers, which are good, but I prefer their hot dogs. This place has the best hot dogs I've had around here. The interior is very interesting. The restaurant is built inside an old brick building, and it is decorated with old memorabilia. It has a nice feel to it. The only downside I have experienced so far is that the time it takes to get food isn't consistent. Sometimes I get food within 10 minutes, but it has taken half an hour before. Overall it is a nice place for lunch, just don't be in a hurry.
