Very good food. A little pricey

We had a wonderful dinner the other night and everyone is still talking about how good all the dishes were. It was vegan night ( Wednesdays) so it was crowded. We ate off the regular menu and they still had specials off that menu too. quail lollypops, duck wings, shrimp and grits, pasta special - everything was great even the cocktails! It is a bit pricey but worth the money.

Eric Krebs

Loved it! We haven't been to this location since it was Vesuvio's (which we loved as well!). Atmosphere was awesome after the redo. Waitstaff was very attentive, courteous, and helpful. The menu selection is a lot bigger than what's listed online. Considering it's "fine dining", the prices are relatively fair. Food was great and well presented. Look forward to going back!

So we dined in today for our anniversary and I must say this place is overhyped and overpriced. We had the bone marrow as the app, steak frites and calamari parm as entrees, and cream corn for the side. The bone marrow was mostly breadcrumbs with barely any marrow left. I asked for the steak to be medium rare, but received a medium well steak and for a 30 dollar dish, the entree was extremely small. The plate looked liked an appetizer dish and the frites were soggy due to the cook putting the steak on top of the fries. My wife's calamari was tender, but very underseasoned and the smoked tomato sauce overpowered everything on the dish. The only redeeming factor of tonight's meal was the cream corn. I was excited to try this place out, but sadly the quality does not match the price.

Food was great, service excellent! The ribeye isn’t worth 39$ tho. But still a very good steak.

So I am going to start off saying I absolutely love the food! However my sweet husband made a reservation for us for Valentine’s Day! And they put us at a table that was uncomfortably close to our neighbors...like we totally had a great conversation with our neighbors and they were a very delightful couple! But we rarely get out by ourselves to have normal adult conversations without our sweet kiddos! I am very unimpressed since we had a pretty pricey dinner! I will think twice about returning

Best kept secret, located across the street from Central Bank, inside The Burgundy Hotel. Wonderful food and great ambience makes this small spot a destination for Romantic Couples! Proposals, anniversaries and hit dates....this is it! Chef Scott Raines is amazing and makes eating his creative dishes a rememorable experience.

Julie Anderson

Food and service were incredible. Quality of food was top notch. Enjoyed a long celebratory dinner. Never felt rushed!!

Went here for our anniversary, the food was great! Service was excellent! However, the room was very loud, and I felt very insulted where they sat us. It ruined the night for us. We were at a table where to my husbands back the food was being brought out, and to my back and side was the table 28. When we arrived and seated there were people standing all around our table, the hostess said sorry and all the people should sit soon, it was so loud from them that my husband and had to yell to even here each other. Then they shut the curtain between the room and me so I thought it would get better, but no. The curtain just hid the fact that I was there and so I had people bumping me from the other side. Every server that came by kept apologizing so you know they knew how bad it was, It was bad enough that we got our dessert to go because I couldn't handle it anymore.

Mitch Stout

Great service. Perfect portions. And the cocktails were pretty awesome.

Loved it, Great place and food the Lemon Drop drink Magnificent

Brooke Lefler Ludford

Had a wonderful meal for my anniversary. Delicious!

“Great food, terrible space” I have mixed feelings about The Pantry. On the one hand, the food is uniformly good to excellent, and a true representation of Czech / German cuisine. I have visited this restaurant probably a half-dozen times, during lunch, dinner and late evening service. Standouts for me include the truffled deviled eggs, Nuremberger burger, goulash beef stew and jager schnitzel.

ashley anthony

The food was absolutely horrible! From the salad to the entree! Obviously the star rating is way off! Even the waitor was overheard talking about how horrible the food is!!

Larry Fife

Food was great and service was better best mashed potatos I have ever had

Very good cocktails!! I’ll definitely come back for the happy hour. Dinner was average. I would suggest the risotto and the mac & cheese. My calamari was fried a little too long. I had a s’mores desert. The ice cream was very good. The graham part of the desert was definitely too dry. I didn’t finish it.

Located in the Burgundy Hotel in West Little rock, Table 28 is a great choice for a more formal dinner or cocktails and is now one of our favorite date night locations. Parking was very easy due to the hotel parking lot and the restaurant is directly to the left after entering the hotel lobby. We had the luck to sit at table #28 and it was a great location in the very center towards the back wall. The restaurant decor is more modern and dimly light with lighter jazz music on the speakers. Service was impeccable and we felt extremely well taken care of the entire night. From suggestions to substitutions and menu questions our waiter was great. We forgot our leftovers and he met me in the parking lot with the bag. The food was amazing and we enjoyed everything we ordered. Cocktails included a rye sazerac and a very light cucumber martini. Since we have been on a real seafood kick this summer, appetizer was the shrimp and grits . Entrees were a custom mix of Diver Scallops with risotto along with the San Fran Ciopinno. Everything was amazing and we can't wait to go back again. Final tab was around $150 and I felt it was justified by the quality of service, cuisine and general experience.

Ed Jaskiewicz

Very nice anniversary dinner. Service and food was great. Wine list leaves a bit to be desired though. Not a big selection.

I wanted to take my girlfriend to a fancy place since we do not have many opportunities to dress up. This place had some of the best reviews in town, but I did not realize it was within a hotel (a plus for travelers). It was a little funny that as we dressed up in our Sunday-best, we were seated next to a family in t-shirts and shorts; it is a hotel after all so I was okay with that. The atmosphere is pleasant and reminds me of a tropical setting. The space is cozy to me, but I can understand if other people felt claustrophobic. Our server was excellent and made sure everything was to our liking. My girlfriend ordered the grand prix (3 courses for $35) and I chose an iceberg salad and filet. Her appetizer was the quail lollipops which were very tasty. I couldn't quite put my tongue on the spice but it was good nonetheless. I got a wedge cut with sprinkles of real bacon, fried onion straws, and topped with a dressing similar to 1000 island. Decent salad made better by the extras. Her meatloaf came with 3 giant pieces of asparagus that were crispy on the ends (yum). The meatloaf itself was savory with a hint of sweet, just how I like it. My filet (ordered med-rare) might have been cooked rare, but it was so good I did not mind. Since we were spoiling ourselves, I also did not mind that it was a little fatty (yum). I substituted the parsnips for mashed potatoes and was pleasantly satisfied. Now dessert was the only part of the meal that I had a problem with. We split her dessert which was a s'mores bar. The presentation was lovely: some kind of triangular bread with a marshmallow top that resembled a cheesecake. The top of the marshmallow was burnt for decoration. Next to this was a generous scoop of chocolate ice cream. Two problems with this: 1) the bread part did not taste like graham crackers and tasted more like a banana bread and 2) the ice cream had black pepper sprinkled over it. I do not know if adding black pepper to ice cream is common, but I did not care for it. Overall, I could tell that each dish had a personal touch created by the chef(s) which was a nice change to chains so at the very least you know what you ordered was just cooked. However, throughout the meal I had this nagging feeling in the back of my mind like this place should be more fancy. Perhaps it was the little things like seeing the fried onion straws on my salad or the clumsy way the filet was set on my mashed potatoes. This place does have heart though. That is what I walked out thinking. As for the price, I think the food was a bit overpriced. The quality of food was decent so maybe the price is high due to overhead from the hotel side. I would recommend this place if you want a not-so-fancy date night and are willing to drop >$70 on a satisfying meal.

A Little Rock jewel of a find, quiet & intimate with attentive kind staff. An amazingly adventurous menu. Recommending to any foodie (pork cheek was fantastic).

Marilyn Richardson

"Atmosphere was superb, employees were excellent, food exceeded expectations!"

Robert Wadley

Best food in little rock.

Casey Jackson-Aceituno

We went yesterday. The atmosphere was nice; however, the food was not good....I had the burger and it was burned to the point I did not even want to eat it. My husband had the sweet tea brined chicken and it was super dry and it didn't even have much flavor. We will not be going back. I will say the one thing we had that we liked was the artichoke dip. Overall very price for the quality of food - not good.

Chris Ferguson

A hidden gem - wonderful imaginative food and great service. Signature cocktails like Classic Cucumber was amazing.

Xon Post

This place is amazing. Staff is very professional and knowledgeable. Great wine selection. Probably the most upscale restaurant in the State. Prime ribeye amazing..... and I'm a steak snob. Highly recommend.

Steve Craig

Valentines evening: Too many tables in too small a space meant waiters bumping into me all night. The valentines special of 1 NY strip, 1 appetizer, 2 salads and 1 desert for $150... I should have asked about the price before ordering. I'll try again and order off the full menu next time.

Brent West

Farm to table at its best. Located inside the Burgundy Boutique hotel its a must try. Parking is decent but don’t let that hold you back. Reservations are welcome but not necessary. The waitstaff is excellent and they are great at walking you through the menu. Everything is fresh and they have new items added regularly. Portions were good size and the flavors of every dish were mind blowing amazing. My tastebuds were popping out of my brain with delight.

It's a decent spot to grab a bite to eat or have a drink. The whole experience was rather unremarkable. The wife and I enjoyed ourselves and our server, but looking back nothing either positive or negative truly stands out. We might return, but with Little Rock continuing to grow, there are many other places we want to try before coming back.

Zachary Lewis

I have had a few trips to Table 28 over the last few years. This was the first time we were seated inside, and it really changed the experience. Server was prompt. Drinks were refreshed frequently, and the food was excellent. We shared two of the fish mains, and both were amazing. Chef came out to say hi after the meal.

E.W. Swan

Table 28 is hands down my favorite restaurant in all of Little Rock. Owner/chef Scott Rains is truly a wizard at creating elevated dishes inspired by Southern classics. Whether you sample the small bites or the entrees, everything is delicious and expertly prepared. The cocktails are excellent and the service is top notch.

Ben Anderson

The food here is definitely tasty. Amazingly enough, of all the dishes I tasted, the fried chicken was probably my favorite.

Ray Martin

Loved our dinner here. We tried the Spanish Octopus appetizer. It was not at all what we expected (some version of calamari) but was a new delicious dish. Much improved version of octopus. Maim courses are great for diabetics, such as shrimp with spaghetti squash rather than noodles. My wife thanks you for that choice!

Rob M

One of the more classy places I could find in Little Rock, AR. Food was very good, bar service fantastic, venue 5/5

Thomas Spencer

Frustrated and disappointed. We went for New Years Eve dinner and there was a limited menu- no choice for anything else other than $80 per person. We spent $200 and were still hungry after. My husband is vegetarian and ate 1 tiny quarter size pancake with caviar, small cup of tuna, ONE scallop (though menu said scallops), gnocchi for the main meal, and banana pudding which was decent- everything would have fit on one medium plate barely. We wont be going back

Marion Crawford

Food was amazing. Service was incredible.

Aaron Walters

Best restaurant in Little Rock. Hands down

Joshua Willis

That this restaurant is good made me improve my opinion of the upjumped motel whose lobby it occupies. I was suspicious that Table 28 would be all style and no substance, but the series of small dishes we ordered all pulled their weight. Left entirely satisfied.

Branden Henner

Chef Raines knows what he's doing. Great food and drinks.

Scotty McIntyre

The most stunning menu, flawless presentation, flavors were stunning & we had a great waiter....professional, cute & knowledgeable! A must try when in Little Rock!

Irene Ramirez

Great experience with my wife for our anniversary. The food was amazing and good portion sizes. The only issue I personally had was the noise level but if that bothers you they have a nice area outside of the restaurant that you can sit at. When we arrived our reservation was delayed and had to wait about 15-20 minutes.

Brittany Crawford

The atmosphere is great. We went for a business dinner and the menu was a bit too adventurous for me but I did eat was good.

Fantastic! I didn't know what to expect and the place was just great. The waitress was awesome, her recommendations were spot on! The octopus was so tender and delicious, so flavorful! They have oyster tacos, oddly enough, and delicious

This restaurant has a nice cozy feel. I went in the evening, the lighting was dimly lit and just right for a romantic dinner. The food was Great, however, it was a bit pricey. If you want that fine dinning experience, you will not be disappointed.

After eating here tonight, I can undoubtedly say that it was the best fine dining experience I've ever had. I normally review dive bars and taco trucks because formal places aren't where I prefer, but this blew my mind away. They have a fantastic, and affordable happy hour that covers both drinks and food, but the real spotlight is when you actually get into the main menu. Our waiter (shoutout to Terrell),who not only knew which dishes he preferred, but all of the ingredients and styles the chef cooked with. Every dish my table ordered was delicious - even the apps were great and we were blown away by them. People cannot eat like this daily, but the rest of us should be here when we can. I especially recommended this spot for anniversaries, special occasions, client dinners, and whatever. You will not leave disappointed.

Date Night with the wife! I always enjoy kid free dining! It just means we can go some where nice! So I have been watching this place for a while and just haven’t had the opportunity to try it. So now that I have here are my thoughts. The restaurant itself is in a hotel. The place was clean and the staff friendly. So we ordered several appetizers because we like food, and when you only get a nice restaurant every 4-6 weeks we want to try as much as we can. First up! Bone Marrow and Escargot... the presentation of this dish was nice. I personally think it came with to much bread compared to the number of escargot. The marrow was rendered nicely and escargot was cooked well. I hate when you get chewy ones! Beef Tartare- was very tender and had the nice acid from the capers. Served with homemade chips (I cheated and had 2) very well presented Tuna Poke- loved the flavor of the glaze on the fish. My only knock on this dish was we had a few pieces with little tendons on them which cause them to be chewy and unable to swallow. Other than that every other piece melted in my mouth. On to dinner- I know right! How are we still hungry. We were! So I ordered the sea scallops and pork belly(Keto friendly) scallops were cooked perfectly and the sauce that was drizzled over them was tasty. The pork belly was tender yet had been fried and had that crispy crunch on the exterior. My wife had the San Fran cioppino with squid ink pasta. I was jealous! The broth was amazing and had a depth of flavor you don’t get very often. She almost licked the bowl clean. The shrimp I stole a bite of was cooked perfectly. So I skipped desert, but amazingly my wife had more room! She ordered the cream cheese ice cream with an apple crumble. I have to say the bite I stole was great, only critique would have been to cook the apples a little longer so they have a softer more caramelized texture. I do hope we can come back soon.

Madeline Hogan

Blown away with the very warm yet sophisticated venue. My entourage and I were seated at the best table in the restaurant and the staff went above and beyond...serving us with an excellent presence of knowledge and true hospitality. Every request that we made were happily fulfilled and exceeded all expectations with flying colors. NOT TO MENTION THE FOOD! (Drooling just thinking about) THE BEST beef filet I've ever had the privilege of eating. Garnished and served with brussels and mashed potatoes. And the dessert...TO DIE FOR! Every restaurant is (now) mediocre in comparison. Thanks Table 28 for making me believe in great customer service again. I can feel the passion. Keep it up!

Peggy Brown

Vegan selections were tasty, but portions smaller than last vegan nights, no leftovers,we left hungry. Sorry, but generally this restaurant serves excellent food, this was disappointing. We appreciate vegan selections as LR limited in those offerings.

Great food!! Excellent service.

Wow. You have to try it to believe it.

Every year for our anniversary, my wife and I have traveled back to our Nevada hometown to visit "our" restaurant, a little French place that we've been going to since high school. With the owner retiring recently, it became time for us to look for somewhere new. After quite a bit of investigating, we decided to reserve Table 28's "28th table"- the chef's menu table. Suffice it to say, we were quite satisfied with Chef Rains' selections for our meal. Each of his dishes was very well prepared and balanced. He has a very clean approach to composition, rather than cluttering up the plate, that really lets the featured ingredients shine on their own merits. We took the risk of not making any ingredients off-limits, trusting that a good chef could make almost anything enjoyable- and he overwhelmingly delivered. In fact, the star of the evening was his Spanish Octopus with White Beans, a choice of protein that neither of us usually care for. As my wife put it, "there's not a single ingredient in this that I like, and I absolutely love it." A couple of the other highlights, among many, were his beautiful tenderloin, and a phenomenal hazelnut pesto. The service was excellent; our waiter was attentive without being overbearing; Chef Rains greeted us at the entrance, and was friendly and personable when he came by to visit with us later. My only criticism would be that the overall noise level of the restaurant was a little bit high for my preference. Overall, a very good experience.

The ambiance and the service were great. The menu reads well. I normally love seasoning but everything we ate tonight was overly salted. If the seasoning could be cut down, we'd definitely come back and recommend this place to others.

Great food.

Completely forgettable. High prices, small servings, daring dishes that largely missed the mark.

Great food and experience

This was a real treat. Was staying at the hotel and went in for happy hour, had a fantastic Old Fashioned for $5 and came to discover the beverage manager is a known figure on the national stage, with books and significant experience to his credit. The two bartenders were charming and enthusiastic and we had a nice time talking about spirits and the bar business. They had a very good selection of everything you might want, and pointed me at a local liquor store when I asked about availability. Overall, a great bar, and tasty deviled eggs too.

Don't let the hotel lobby fool you. This is one of the best food experiences in Little Rock. Food is always fresh and the menu changes. I don't make it often but every time I do I always leave wondering why I don't go back more.
