We were seated quickly for a group of 10 and the staff was friendly. The waitress was quick to take orders and attentive afterwards. I had shrimp and steak and both were good. That said, I love good Japanese fried rice and it was just OK here. I wasn't dissatisfied with my meal and the price was reasonable but the rice wasn't as good as I hoped. The others in my group all said they were very happy so maybe I am being overly critical. I would be willing to go back next time I am in the area and give it another try.

I would eat here every night if I could afford it! This place is wonderful! The food is always excellent! Generally, I get the hibachi grill combo. I love the flavors! Love the amount they give you. You will not leave hungry! Great selection of foods! Service is always exceptional! The atmosphere is great! You won't get out cheap but it is well worth the money! Treat yourself! Getting hungry thinking about it!

I had lunch at Sumo a few weeks ago with my daughter, son-in-law and boyfriend. We sat at a table. Our waitress, service and food was great. But, the thing that impresses me most is their integrity. I paid for my lunch with my credit card and left it in the folder with my tip! It's a card that I don't use often, so it took me awhile to realize it was missing. When I checked my statement I realized where I last used it. No charges had been made since then. I went to reclaim my card and he looked through the "stack" of cards they've collected and sure enough there it was. He didn't just hand it over either, he made me describe it in detail. I was very grateful. Thanks Sumo!!!

The food is well seasoned and they can cook a medium rare steak. The lighting is very low and a bit annoying. Temperature while sitting at the grill ranges from comfortable to cold despite the outside temp. Bar drinks are good but don't expect to drink of you do not have your I.D. with you. Will be back.

The staff is always very kind. I typically get the same entree (steak and chicken hibachi), but my wife gets there sushi and always enjoy it. They have two different areas one in front of the grill, and just table and chairs area with a bar. At night the atmosphere with the lighting is pretty awesome.

Bad overpriced food, better get sushi from Kroger. Been here twice, both times was disappointed by the sushi that was drowning in weird sauce to cover bad quality fish. I gave it a third try, ordered tataki tuna. The menu said “seared tuna on top of mixed greens and ponzu sauce.” What I had was overcooked dry tuna pieces that tasted like can chicken on top of shredded carrots that were swimming in ponzu. My friend ordered salmon roll and there was hair in it. Got so mad but the waitress was so nice so I just paid my meal, went out and decided to never ever spend a penny there.

Usually not too long of a wait. Sushi and Hibachi are both great! Staff is pretty friendly. Bathrooms are clean and tables were clean. If you get a to-go order and ask for extra sauce or anything like that you HAVE to check before leaving because it's usually not in the bag. Ignore that they say it is. It's probably not. Other than that though I love it. The food is great!

Terrible service was there before two big parties and could not get a seat they where seated first. Then when we ask they told us no one was getting seated for a while because they only had three servers. You should have more than 3 servers on a Sunday. Won’t go back. Came to Fuji and was seated right away!

Service was fast. They seated my wife and I immediately with our son. And the waitress came for our drink order and offered to or in it sons order first to get it out sooner. All the staff was friendly. Fast and correct orders. It's not cheap but if you're eating there you already know that. I'll be back.

Wonderful sushi and grill. I’ve had most of the items on the menu. Alcohol served with ID. You have preference of bar/ table/ or grill seating. Grill provides family friendly entertainment. Excellent food, comparable pricing and quality to other Japanese restaurants in the area. Sushi a tad higher here than at Hiro, but they provide sauces free of charge. Clean and relaxing atmosphere.

I love sumo's. They have great funny staff. They have wheelchair accessible entrances. They offer amazing food. No doubt in the top 3 of my favorite places to go and eat. Their food is not over priced at all. They offer dozens of different sushi rolls. This is a very cozy place. They give you boxes to go once you're done. They have all-you-can-drink if you choose to dine in with them. 5/5 stars.

After two visits I have been very pleased with my sushi my favorite sushi place by far. Unfortunately though the second time there was gnats at our table very annoying and gross. And we weren't a fan of the noodles very overcooked. The staff took it off our bill thankfully. I will definitely keep going for the sushi. Far better than fujis though!

We love this place! food is always amazing! BUT yesterday when we took a friend for his bday our waitress was terrible. There was a small language barrier BUT in any culture it is wrong to say "your lucky to be american and get to eat this food i work 12 hours and dont get to eat till 1 o'clock in the morning because i have to clean up after everyone" ALSO she made several comments about what to tip, we left a small tip bc the others in our group left a large tip and she told our friend "he needs to learn how to tip right" THIS IS VERY RUDE. and we told her we had a birthday boy with us (he turned 21) and she called him BOY every chance she got. now i understand she may have just being funny BUT she also tried to make us tip as if we were a large group of 7. there was 5 of us. I use to love this place but it was very uncomfortable, it was like she was mad she was our waitress...

I think the chef could have been more lively. But the food was excellent. Also even if your 65 years old you better have your I.D with you or no beer. My wife forgot her I.D. and was refused a drink. If there was any chance she looked under 21 I could see a reason. But some times you need to use common sense.

I just signed up on their Facebook page & received $5 off coupon in messenger & it had no expiration date whatsoever on it & waitress was really rude to our group so she went & got manager & manager came over with an attitude about the entire situation,only to make the situation worse! She said it could not be honored considering it went out on the 5th which is understandable after going back & reading through several posts on the Facebook page just to find it. Manager said "Sorry for breaking y'alls little hearts"! She didn't have a right to come crossways like that! I feel as if you are new customer on their Facebook page, these coupons should stop getting sent out & I am still getting them in messenger & reminding me that this is the last day to redeem them. To me, this is considered "FALSE ADVERTISEMENT"! Stop sending $5 coupons if they can't be honored especially with no expiration dates on the coupons. Way to bring more people into the business, only to get disappointed & to ruin your business expectations! Now don't get me wrong, I have always loved the food & still do but I have never in my entire life had a hateful manager & waitress in that place to come crossways til yesterday! The situation could have been handled more appropriately & not been blown out of proportion! Thanks Sumo's!! Way to keep business up!!!! Need to hire people with better attitudes & stop sending out "FALSE ADVERTISEMENT" if you aren't going to honor it! To top the cherry off, one of the ladies that was with us had her card ran & gratuity wasn't added the first time, the manager went over to the waitress & helped her add it on there. The lady that was involved with us already knew her price the first time & they redid the receipts for the gratuity & they put more over charges on her receipt!
