The meat was tender but had no taste what so ever. It’s like the meat was just put on the grill without rub or any kind of seasoning. Then the barbecue sauce was nasty it didn’t even taste as good as Kraft barbecue sauce out of the bottle. The only thing that was good was the ham because it’s already a seasoned meat of course because it’s a heat and serve type meat.

I have tried it 3 or 4 different times, trying to give it the benefit of the doubt. But it's just expensive and not anything like it says on the menu. The baked potato is the driest I've had anywhere. The meat has no flavor on its own but the bbq sauce is good. The beans are probably the best thing on the menu. The deviled eggs are sad and tasteless. All that for the low price of $15 with no napkins, cutlery or drink. I try to support local businesses but after getting sick this last time, i wish i had gone to mcdonalds...

Came here during my stay in Arkansas with 5 people, had good reviews and I thought I'd get myself some of that delicious southern bbq. To my surprise, this was by far the worst BBQ place I have been to. There is a very limited menu, not even covering classics such as garlic bread or even pulled pork. Their side of bread was literally two untoasted pieces of white bread with butter the size of an ice cream scoop. The smoked chicken was very dry, the chopped pork had no flavor, might as well have been boiled, the ribs were dry and chewy, was like eating jerky. The sauce however, was the worst part of it, it was ridiculously sweet with a light kick. Only 4 sides and any could have been better had they been store bought.

My Husband and I are from Missouri so we know good BBQ. We were very excited to try this place on vacation and experience the South’s way of doing it. Disappointed. Meat was obviously boiled with smoke flavor added. Very bland, unseasoned and dry. Definitely not something that we would consider BBQ and for the price it was a miss.

Price was good. Nice atmosphere! Friendly staff! Fast and accurate service. The meat was super tender. It was just tasteless. Like nothing. No smoke, no spice, nothingness. The sauces werent very good. Just basic sauce sauce with no spice in the spicy version. Also I asked for onion slices and apparently they dont like to cut one for customers anymore but did offer me some pickle slices. I wont be going back based on the overall flavor of the food. Great service though.

Worst bbq I've ever had! We were looking for a bbq joint while visiting in Hot Springs and saw that this place was recommended. I was highly disappointed! The pulled pork sandwiches and ribs literally tasted like nothing.. like no seasonings at all!!! The only things that was good were the beans and sweet tea! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!!

Haven't been here in years. But was. By far the very best BBQ ever. I crave it often. Can't find anything like it here in Dayton Ohio. If I could have it sent to me I would. Yum. If your in Hot Springs, you have to eat here. I remember the awesome smell .read some other reviews,I sure hope they aren't watering down the meat. When you have something so good, you should. Never mess with it. I loved this place.

Being from Texas which has some of the best BBQ, I was pleasantly surprised. This is some of the best BBQ I have eaten. The sauce was unique and the best I have had. I’m picky on my coleslaw and this was my favorite coleslaw I’ve eaten. Most people put way too much vinegar for me. I would definitely eat here again.

This is nowhere close to the best barbecue but I have been to worse. But I do have to agree with a lot of the reviews: the food is bland. Even the barbecue sauce (they only have one kind to choose from) is bland and didn’t add any flavor. So it got the job done—I walked away full. But I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Was visiting from Kansas City area and was born and raised in Texas, so I know BBQ! The potato salad was delicious and the beans were good. However, the brisket was not very good. It didn't have any smoke flavor at all! It tasted like it had been cooked several weeks ago, frozen, then thawed out and served today. It wasn't fresh smoked meat. I like to see a smoke ring and there wasn't any on any of the meats we had today the meat was all grey.

Awful!! Chicken is served by the half. Not a problem unless its completely black, burnt and dry... yikes! It was so dry and overdone it was like eating jerky. The sauce was the only thing that made it bearable for the few bites taken. The potato salad tasted awful and smelled like rubber worm bait you'd buy to go fishing. Everything on the line looked charred and dry. Was hoping for so much more than this.

I really love the fact they have a special for just about everything. And it's all fresh meat and products. Made the same day in their smoker right behind the food bar where you can literally pick just about any mixture off food. It's also reasonably priced. The staff there is amazing, as well as really friendly. The place is very tidy and clean. I'd give it more stars if I could.

Delicious food, cafeteria style. Not what I was expecting but it was a pleasant surprise. We got the ribs dinner for two and it was tons of food. Fed two adults and two children. The kids loved it and there were high chairs and booster seats. Would recommend for families.

No. We paid $27 for 2 chopped beef sandwiches, a side of potato salad & bbq beans. Plus 2 drinks & 3 pickle slices(@.50 a piece!!) The meat was dry & burnt tasting no matter how much bbq sauce we put on it. The drinks & pickles were the only things that got eaten. The beans were ok. But the potato salad was nasty & the meat uneatable in our opinions... Maybe it was because it was an hour before closing. Idk. But we didn't enjoy at all. But everyone's tastes & opinions are different. To each their own.

If you are looking fo the best BBQ in Arkansas then dont go to Stubbys. It was ridiculous. The 1st thing we saw were the ribs, sry we couldn't see the ribs because they were so burnt and charred and thats what we wanted so we asked for half a chicken, it came out completely black and charred, that the skin cracked into flakes as they cut it. We then got the brisket, looked good behind the glass but when we ate the first piece it was dry and way over cooked. It got worse from there so m goin ty o stop here. If u want BBQ go some where else

We didn't feel like cooking for ourselves for memorial day, so me and my family were going to go out and eat BBQ, go figure everywhere was closed except Stubby's. We were very excited we found something! We ordered the supreme sampler plate for $25. It came with beef, chicken, ham and ribs with beans and bread (we substituted extra beans because we don't eat slaw) it was a huge platter of food. Three of us ate, got full and had plenty to take home for later. The meat was very tender and juicy I just wished it had a smoky flavor that usually BBQ has but it was quite delicious! The sweet tea was very good as well!

This is a happening little BBQ joint near the horse track in Hot Springs. Very friendly and accommodating staff, the Beef brisket is top notch. There are tons of BBQ joints across Arkansas and everyone focuses on pork, which is good but it's nice finding a place that serves great beef! Usual sides and desserts offered, been here multiple times and it is consistently good.

Lived here my whole life and never go to Stubby's. It was the only barbecue place open on Memorial Monday. I should have waited for barbecue later in the week at a better place and gotten something besides barbecue today. Overall it's edible but nowhere near the best available in Hot Springs

BBQ chicken and ribs tasted like someone let the fire burned instead of smoke. The food had that nearly metallic taste that burnt grill meat gets. The bean pot was pretty good, but under the hot light so long the pork on top was crunchy-dry. The tomato salad was fantastic. The staff was friendly enough, but otherwise quiet and seemed a little preoccupied. The low rating is for the subpar BBQ and the burnt-and-unpleasant taste.

Stubby's was always a "must eat" place when I go to Hot Springs but either they have new mgmt. or they have grown complacent. Ribs overcooked and not as tasty as they were previously. Plus they have significantly raised prices ... such a shame!
