My fiance and I eat here fairly often. All the staff is very friendly, but we enjoy our regular waitress. Shes amazing and knows exactly what we want without us saying most the time. Very good place to get great sushi. Not the cheapest place in town, but it's worth it.

Great service. When I am in a hurry I let them know and they always accommodate. Usually get hibachi but have had the sushi too and whatever we order it is always excellent quality. We have been using their local delivery and sometimes restaurants have varied quality with take out but not Sky. Their quality of food is top notch no matter if you dine in or use their delivery services. This is definitely one of my favorite places in Little Rock to eat at weekly.

Come here a lot, so typically enjoy it. Recently, they have been very slow and sometimes rude. Today, I went in with my family and they sat us and didn't come to the table or even bring us water for twenty minutes and we even asked a server and the hostess to get us our server. Definitely going down hill recently.

This was the first sushi restaurant my husband and I tried when we first moved to Arkansas 2 years ago and I remember we had great service and the food was decent. Naturally I wanted to introduce this place to my friend and I was pretty excited. To my dismay, the service was poor and we were belittled by I’m guessing the manager. Originally our waiter gave us time to pick what we wanted, but he didn’t come back until AT LEAST 20 minutes later. When he finally comes back he takes our order using a hand held tracker that I’m assuming is paired to their overall notification system. The only thing I ordered was the sashimi lunch special and the salad to go with it. We started noticing that the people who came in after us and ordered AFTER us received their appetizers before we did and all I had was a salad. We gave it more time, but we needed to leave given the time constraint we had. Well this is where we were treated badly. We said it’s been about an hour since we’ve been there and haven’t seen any of our food. The lady assigned to us checked how long it’s been and said it’s been 22 minutes on their end according to their system. Well she didn’t account the fact that we had to wait 20 minutes just for our server to come back and take our order. The time she has was the time from when we finally got to order our food. She tried to charge us for the same food we did not receive or eat. All we wanted to do is pay for our drinks and leave, but she wouldn’t let us without telling us some little remarks. We told her we didn’t want the food anymore and that we had to leave because of work. She then preceded to tell us “yeah well everyone has to, and we are not like a CHINESE restaurant. We make everything fresh.” Then why was the salad not out after 22 minutes but the person who ordered after us received their soup? Anyway, at this point since my family is part Chinese, I was offended by that little comment, but because I was raised to be respectful, I let her stop herself. I prayed she didn’t say anything else. The only respite my friend and I had was another customer asking the same lady to send their waiter because they have been waiting for him as well. My advice is this. Please refrain from saying anything race related to your customers. I am from Seattle, Washington and I am also Asian. I am related to family members who ARE CHINESE. I know what CHINESE food and restaurants are, and are not like. Do not assume that because my friend is African American and that because my skin tone is brown that I do not know anything about Asian or Asian inspired food. Please be aware that the next person you say that same comment to might not take it so well. Thank you.

I had one of the greatest lunches ever at Sky Modern Japanese. They have the best sushi rolls that I have eaten. I'm going back to try their hibachi grill with my family. The service was outstanding and the owner even stopped by our table to ask us how our food was. Great place to go eat in Little Rock!

The sushi was quite tasty, the portions we're pretty good sized. The service however, was quite slow and the sushi come out at different times. My company got their food a whole 10 minutes before mine and second plate came out ten more minutes after my first, so that was frustrating.

Beautiful, upscale restaurant with minimalistic and elegant decor. The owner was at the front door to greet us. Our waiter was helpful on explaning some of the menu for us. Lobster roll--This was delicious. I was kind of expecting very thin slivers of lobster but they were actually quite generous with the chunks of lobster meat in the roll. I've been here several times when I'm in Little Rock. They have the best sushi and Japanese food in the Central Arkansas area!!

Went on my lunch break got chicken and fried rice.. chicken was extremely dry and rice tasted old.... they refused to give us a gift card or money back unless we brought the food back but we were unable to because we were on lunch ... poor customer service

Don't waste your time. Way overpriced, piss poor service, bad sushi, timing is off, not worth the price. We arrived around 7pm, the place was not that busy, we choose to sit at the grill, sat for 10 minutes, no one came to get our drink order, an older couple sat right next to us, a waiter came by with in a minute to get their drink order, and completely ignored us, then a few minutes later a different waiter came and took our drink order, we also ordered sushi and our meals at this time the food was good, but we where completely done with our meal, then the sushi showed up, is was soft and room temperature instead of firm and cold, we asked for to go boxes and had to wait about 10 minutes for boxes and then had to flag some one down just to pay the bill, there is no way in hell we will ever be back and the only thing good I have to say is the food off the grill was great, but everything else was complete bullshit. And the cost to learn this lesson was $69.89.

I ate here this past spring and I was not impressed. There was a dead fly in my salad, my ramen had a strange flavor to the broth, and my husbands salmon hibachi was average. When I reported the dead fly in my salad, the waitress was not overly concerned or worried. It is our only experience here and, in my opinion, Little Rock has much better ramen and Asian food options.

Sitting with my party at the hibachi table I told the server that I was allergic i shellfish. She was unclear what the policy was when this happened. I went to the restroom when I came back the chef was already cooking. When he went to throw shrimp down with the chicken and I tried to stop him he actually yelled at me that he was cooking for everyone in the restaurant and someone else would be cooking for me. When I spoke to the manager she also basically yelled at me as well. Although the chef ended up apologizing and tried to make it right the manager again came over and yelled at me because of a sushi role. She told me I needed to read the menu next time. I will never go back to this restaurant nor will I recommend anyone to go to this restaurant ever! Customer service is horrible!!!

We were a family of 5 adults and a girl for dinner, and they charged us an extra $ 15 for being a “table of 6”, it seems unfair, because our account was not so high but it rose more for the extra charge and it is not the money I am paying is what matters least to me, what matters to me is that it is an injustice for the consumer, I do not come back.

Chimge' is the owner/operator/manager and does a fabulois job of entertaining and ensuring the customer experience is fantastic. My family and I dine here 1-2 times per month and the service is always exceptional, excellent attention to detail, and family friendly. The food quality superb, as the get prepares sushi fresh and very flavorful which all is as you would desire, tastyhot-food-hot and cold-food-cold! Well done!! I highly recommend!!

Expected something wonderful. Sushi was great. But everything took forever. Just about an hour and no word on food. When it got here, it was terrible. The ginger sauce was mostly vinegar. The air wasn't turned on until halfway through our time despite the 100+ degree heat. The waitress was pleasant. Never coming again. I don't recommend this place to anyone.

While asking a question about the amount of time the food would take , the waitress decided I wasn't important enough and walked off while I was mid sentence . The food isn't good enough to compensate for the mediocre service and disrespectful staff(mindy) also the manager isn't much better. The rest of the staff is fine .

We had a great experience at Sky. We've tried several hibachi places around town and really wasn't impressed with any of them. They were mildly ok... Sky has great sushi and their hibachi was on point. It's served more modern. I guess you can say deconstructed. Regardless, the food was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We will be back.

I've now attempted to place an order here three times with no success. All of which have been during normal stated business hours. Every time I've called there has been something in the way of them doing what they're supposed to do. Called At 9:23, I was told they're closed. Stated hours for today are 5:30-10:30. I understand if you're closing shop but you didn't recently change this - too lazy to change stated hours online. Thanks, for once again forcing me to rush somewhere else for a quick to-go meal. I hope the dine-in experience is good, because I can't seem to get them to sell me anything if it's not eaten there.

This is one of the top Japanese Restaurants that i have ever eaten at in Little Rock, Arkansas. I love their Mardi Gras sushi rolls. They have a great restaurant where you can order from the table or eat at their hibachi grill. My husband loves the baked scallop roll and the fusion chicken. One of my favorite restaurants in the Central Arkansas area! They also have a great bar selection!!

I love the fact that not only do they have top of the line sushi, but everything else I've had there is out of this world! Starting with the appetizers, "black belt jalapenos"--tempura fried jalapenos stuffed with crab are a meal in it's self. The "lava shrimp" are also an excellent choice for an appetizer. I've had a few of their lunches and they will wow you! I love scallops and they have two dishes that knocked me off my feet, one a sushi dish, the other is scallops are over a bed of creamy risotto w/mushrooms. I'n fairly new to eating sushi and this is a great place to start! They have modern rolls that will make your taste buds do a happy dance. I have yet to have anything here less than perfect!! What makes this place even better is the owner is out working the floor making sure each guest is satisfied!! I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves Japanese food or looking to try new things without going "to far out on the limb".

I may have gone on a bad day but service was bad. This place could be a class act on a good night but the table next to me (party of four) never received their food the 1½ hours they spent waiting and it took my food nearly as long to arrive. The ramen tasted like top ramen with a few extra ingredients added, I had the Alaskan and California rolls and they weren't anything to brag about, the New York strip roll looked promising but ended up as disappointing as everything else from the texture to the taste. Staff were very friendly and it has a great environment but the food took too long and was average at best.

We ate here Tuesday night with a group of 6 for a friends birthday. This young man waited on us and he was very rude. He was inattentive and flirted with a girl at the bar instead of taking care of us. We were without drinks nearly the whole meal, so finally my brother in law went to the bar (interrupted the flirt session) and asked the waiter for some Dr Pepper. He brought my brother in law 3 Dr Peppers. It was so rude. Like we are bothering him by needing more drinks? If he can’t wait on his tables and refill their drinks, then he needs to find a new career. I know from being a waitress it can be hard when you’re busy with other tables, but when you’re hitting on some chick in front of us instead of waiting on us? Come on. My sister in law reported the Dr Pepper incident to the manager who didn’t do anything at the time. Then to top it all off, when we were leaving, the waiter takes off his apron like he had been waiting on us to go the whole time. It was unfortunate because we did enjoy the food, but not sure we want to support a place who would keep on such a poor waitstaff. I give the food a 3 star and staff/service a 1.

I would not recommend this restaurant. The crab mix in my sushi tasted like mayonnaise and the shrimp hibachi tasted similar to how dirty old shoes smell. It was really terrible. The fried rice and vegetables tasted like they were cooked in dirty oil and there were several crunchy pieces of rice. I will say that the steak was decent quality and the spicy tuna was as well. That was certainly not enough to make me ever want to return. I would give this place a hard pass and drive down the road to Ninja.

Has been fresh every time our family has visited. It's definitely not your average Japanese restaurant. The chili flavored fries are delicious and the sushi selections meets most of my expectations. One thing that is my personal preference: I don't like that they took my glass to a back room somewhere to refill my water. I prefer that they bring a carafe and fill my water with the same water they're giving everyone else. That's being petty, maybe, but the meals are good so that's the only thing I could find to complain about. Overall, great place to meet up with friends and family.

So popped in for a quick lunch at a sushi place that I have never been to. So I ordered the pleasant ridge roll and the omega 3 roll. It took about 20 mins to order and receive the sushi rolls but I wasn’t in a hurry. Both rolls looked amazing. Pleasant ridge roll is lightly fried. Didn’t realize that! But it was really good with the spicy mayo. The omega 3 had seared salmon that tasted fresh, with just a hint of smokiness. Both were very good and I will definitely be back here again.

First time here and it was amazing! The ramen comes in a giant bowl and it was delicous. Sushi was beautiful! We ordered a roll of sushi, ramen, hibachi chicken and shrimp, soup, a couple beers and soda it was only 63 dollars. I don't mind paying good money for fantasic food. The atmosphere was great and modern and our server was so friendly. We will definitely be back!

Not kid friendly at all! First, they bring kids’food 15 min before yours. Kids are obviously fed by the time yours arrives. When my kid accidentally shattered a meal I waited a long time for, they would not replace it, stating it was my fault. Recommend finding a more kid friendly Japanese restaurant, particularly if you’re hungry

Went for hibachi for me and my girls one year. Every hibachi i have been to before has some form of show, entertainment while they cook, jokes, flipping knives or big fires, this place had no show whatsoever and the chef barely said 10 words to us.Seafood was just plain bitter, spend 80 dollars on two plates and was very unsatisfied. Dessert was subpar for how the place presents itself. However, the appetizers were amazing.

Excellent food, excellent service. Whether ordering hibachi, sushi, or from the entree selections, the portions are generous and always delicious. Management is always present and assisting throughout the dining room. This is our go to for Japanese food in West Little Rock.

My family loves Sky! I've noticed some reviews that aren't five star. The main chef has been off and then part-time for medical reasons. We all deserve a little grace sometimes. We still dine often, as they have the very best hibachi food anywhere, hands down. We aren't sushi people, but I hear it's amazing. It's impeccably clean. We will always support this awesome, family owned and family friendly restaurant.
