Great atmosphere, great service, good food. I wish the popovers would have been warm.
It was nice and romantic.
Great food, great service!
Amazing service! Affordable prices! Food Fabulous! Went to the top of roof to see the amazing light show of the bridge!
Superb breakfast. Elegant ambience and excellent service!
Amazing service, food, and atmosphere
Enjoyed the $19.99 special
Food and atmosphere,lovit
BEAUTIFUL location, Food better than OK- but less than awesome. Definitely not worth the $$$. The service was good, not extra-ordinary. The tables were wobbly, the heavy, extra long tablecloths hid the 1970's, cracked plastic diaper pad tables. They were so "puffy" underneath the tablecloths that all the glasses and wine bottle felt as if they'd fall over. NOTE: We went on a Saturday evening around 5pm and were NOT seated by a window to watch the sunset over the Mississippi river...we were also asked upon arrival if we had reservations- But the restaurant was EMPTY, Lol. Summary: Its a great spot, Needs to be updated, Staff (Owners, I think) were rude, and the food was OK. I would NOT return.
Wonderful food,Fast service,Great prices.
Excellent business lunch
I had the express lunch. It was fast and excellently prepared. The service was impeccable.
This is a wonderful restaurant where you order dishes and accompanying wines by 3, 4, or 5 courses. The chef is exceptional and present in the dining room. Her menu is full of local seafood and produce prepared in interesting and exciting ways
I was very disappointed in our food last night. I had previously ordered the Chicken Sicilian, and it was fabulous. This time around, my experience was much different. The chicken was very average; there was no red tomato sauce. Instead, the chicken and linguine were soaked in a lemon-based grease. My girlfriend and I were both disappointed. The vegetables were poor also. They had changed the menu and no longer offered the dip that she liked. We requested that the waiter ask the chef to just grill some asparagus as a side dish since they were missing the items by gf wanted to eat. But no one was very accomodating; she ended up just getting a bland salad. We didn't complain. But when we left the restaurant, we were still hungry and considered ordering something from the much cheaper Tugs next door. Something that would taste much better for a much cheaper price. Two out of 5 stars is being generous here. I likely won't eat here again.
Great lunch, wonderfully fast for fine dining
It's location was too good and their atmosphere was excellent. Their customer service was very good. We had great time and definitely be there again and recommend others.
The atmosphere and location is probably the best aspect of Paulette's. The dishes are interesting, and we were all excited to try different kinds of foods. That said, the food was all good, but different than we expected, although we're not sure what we expected. Maybe more traditional flavors? The person who was happiest with his meal ordered an omelet. It was one of the few things you could order at many other restaurants, and as such, Paulette's was a great omelet. The other foods our party ordered included shrimp and grits, a chicken crepe, a ham and apple crep combination, and eggs benedict. We're not sure if our expectations colored out feelings about the food, or whether the food was different enough of its own right that it's just 'different.' The K-Pie was to DIE FOR!! BY FAR it was the most awesome thing we had. The piece of pie was huge and sufficient for sharing among a table of five, especially after having eaten our meals. All of us were satisfied with our meals. They were a little on the expensive side with moderate serving sizes. Only one of us had any leftovers, yet none of us left there hungry. We would all return to Paulette's again, with most of us planning to try different dishes. Paulette's is a great adventure, special occassion type of place to eat.
The pork was not cooked. Literally raw in the middle. 5 of my group had to send it back to be re cooked. They plated the same piece of meat. The reason I know that, the waitor said, I believe this one is yours.
Very nice Paulette Filet. Upscale environment and prices.
Very professional and courteous staff. Excellent service.
Excellent service. Everything was perfectly prepared. The popovers were light and eggy perfection. A nice change to a standard bread basket. Cozy intimate atmosphere in the bar area. Enjoyed the piano player who added to the ambience.
Excellent, courteous staff! Excellent food! Grilled red fish, stuffed with crabmeat and ribeye were delicious! Served hot and well porportioned! Restaurant itself is beautiful and set in beautiful Harbor Town. The nicest and loveliest Thanksgiving dinner! A special thank you to Eric and George...you made our dining experience with Paulettes very lovely!
I have high expectations when I go to restaurants that advertise "they are the BEST" mostly if they have been endorse by a travel magazine which I am learning it means they paid for the advertising or the persons reviewing has different expectations than mine. The place is beautiful, the service is average, is ok but nothing to remember (the waiter was chewing gum
Beautiful atmosphere, lovely clientele. About 95% success rate. Today's waiter was "Mike" and he's the best one we've ever had. Finally they have added filet tips as a meat addition to salads!! Yeah!! Very pleasant and tasty birthday brunch for my mom. Would recommend.
Great service, great food, would highly recommend!
U can dine and have drinks staff was nice and friendly
Food and service was amazing. George was awesome! Great experience and will definitely visit again.
Go here for the atmosphere.
Brunch today. Nice server and meals were as ordered. Quality setting.
The food was alright but the service was just terrible, my server Jessica didn't know anything and had me waiting forever. Also her demeanor was very unprofessional and it almost ruined my date.
Great and safe location. The food was perfect and delicious. Thank you for the recommendation, highly recommend Refsidh with mashrooms. My wife loved chocolate crepe as a dessert . This restaurant will be on our list for a repeat dinner. Thank you our sweet waitress for a great experience.
We were brought complimentary champagne for our anniversary and the signature popovers. For dinner I chose the wedge salad. It was prepared as I like it without a huge amount of dressing glopped on.The spouse had a chicken dish as well as a wedge salad. It was lovely and I wish I had paid more attention. We will have to go back
One of the best dining experiences my wife and I have had. The food was exquisite and the service was on point. I also enjoy the atmosphere - relaxing and cozy.
By far the best breakfast!!
Very tasty
Beautiful restaurant, helpful servers and bartenders. The waiter made excellent entrée suggestions and perfect wine pairings. We will definitely return to this restaurant.
Great food and ambiance
They say this is a restaurant but it's actually a nursing home. Only many nursing homes are maybe cheaper.
Dinner was great with the Trout with Pecan Gravy and Green Beans. Also the BlackBerry/Lemon Sorbet was smooth tasty.
The food was very good.
Food is always exceptional when I eat here. Customer service is great. Atmosphere is pleasant.
The food was excellent, the atmosphere is nice, and the wait staff is knowledgeable. I would eat here again.
Food was excellent and prepared perfect. Portion size was just right for the price. Great place with great views.
I use to work there.
Food and service were both great. Highly recommended.
Enjoy visiting Paulette's for the intimate atmosphere and service.
Excellent experience throughout. A high level of service was given and was provided through the entire meal. Our dinner was exceptional as well as the dessert that followed! One of our new favorite places to dine!
Really really good meal. They have a simple and well thought out menu. I had the, iceburg wedge, Shrimp and Gits with the Creme Brulee and was thoughly impressed. Aslo the crispy cauliflower appitizer will not disappoint.
Food was decent for a reasonable price. They advertised a New Years Brunch but only had a lunch menu on offer. Atmosphere was fantastic, very cozy and quaint like a Victorian Tea Room.
Awesome pancakes
Always great food. Sunday brunch. Good selection of items. Enjoyed the mushroom biscu.
Breakfast is elegant, well p related and presented. Lovely ambiance.
Wonderful breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Great for any special occasion.
Good food great atmosphere
One of the best restaurants in Memphis. It is quiet and quaint; with some of the best service and food!! The service is amazing!! Tyrin was a great waiter.
The Paulette's fillet was a superb choice. The steak was extremely tender and cooked as ordered. Their sauce included with the steak paired nicely with the mashed potatoes. Our server was very courteous and ensured that our meal was to our satisfaction. We also couldn't get enough of the fresh popover's served with strawberry butter!
Our waiter Chris was great! The atmosphere was perfect until a LARGE group came and the noise was hard to speak over. My advice don't go it a conference is being held there. Other than that the food was DELISH!!!
Great food, Great service
Beautiful space. But it is loud, like a sports bar. The food and service were mediocre.
A bit pricey for breakfast but the view was nice and the server, Brandon, was very friendly too.
Extremely nice dining experience.
Wow! Amazing service, fantastic staff that were very attentive. Food was delicious and it was a fun way to celebrate a birthday. Highly recommended.
Don't miss it when in Memphis.
The food was ok. Nothing special for the price we paid. We had the cheese table and I had the red fish, it was tasteful. Alan our waitress was excellent!
Very tasty food with an elegant presentation.
This restaurant provided fantastic service and I really enjoyed the continental breakfast option. Having fresh squeezed orange juice along with tea and water with coffee all in the same flat rate was amazing! My server seem to be French with a lovely accent, and he was very friendly. The menu is extensive and Seafood is amazing! It's nice to be able to get a decent breakfast somewhere, in addition to lunch and dinner.
Excellent fare and service off on Mud Island
Good location, atmosphere, service, and food. The seafood is great
I always get the Filet Paulette every time I go. I love the worcestershire cream sauce paired with the two small filets are delicious! I highly recommend going to Paulette’s during the holidays, it is perfectly decorated! Service is second to none
Shrimp & grits was good. For the price and service, I probably won't come back but the food was good.
So incredible. Well worth the wait. We had reservations for New year's Eve and had their special 4 course meal. The flavor and quality of the food combined with the elegant upscale atmosphere created an unforgettable night. We will definitely be back.
Food was great, service was at a good pace and it's very relaxing. Will return and don't forget to order redfish with crab, yum yum.
The steak and the popovers are heavenly.
Paulette's is absolutely charming. We loved everything about it! The food was amazing, the ambience subtle and inviting, but most of all the service was 100% and more. Our wait person, Abby, was the sweetest, kindest and attentive I've ever experienced. She even went next door and got lemonade for my nephew who wanted it with his dinner. I give her a 10+. We will definitely go back when we visit Memphis again. Thanks for a great last evening.
Was okay, however I wish my food was seasoned!
Very nice restaurant and the food is very good.
Fabulous menu. Absolutely delicious. My only complaint, 45 minutes for the salad to arrive. The server was quite apologetic but 45 minutes...
Very nice and somewhat formal. Excellent service and the food was wonderful.
Very traditional style which made a change from a lot of modern formats. The food was well prepared and well presented. The service was efficient and courteous. On the whole I would recommend this restaurant
My family took my mom here for Mother's Day. We had a reserved table, but the restaurant lost our reservation, which caused us to wait over an hour. The workers were extremely apologetic, and they made up for it with free wine. The customer service here is amazing, and the food is just as delicious! I will definitely be back.
Their chicken crepe for lunch was delicious. My companion has ham and apple crepes she thought hers was the best because their was an entree and a dessert crepe@
The service is next to none! Particularly due to the excellent management of the River Inn. (If you haven't had the opportunity to stay here I hope you can in your lifetime - because it's amazing!) Kay Pie (... spelling?) is amazing for a desert and the breakfast after a great nights sleep in the hotel is fantastic. They also host many special events and it's always a treat to attend.
Last night was the worst I've ever had at a restaurant in a long time the set up was nice but the man who was suppose to take or order an wait our table was racists he over look us for a hour. He made sure all the people around us who wasn't black was taken care of buy all cost. This the second time this has happened to me at this restaurant an the last if your of color please stay away from this restaurant some people who work here are racists.
One of my favorite places to eat. Wonderful steak, beautiful location on the Mississippi River and fantastic popovers with strawberry butter. This is an elegant dining experience.
We recently ate there on a Monday nite with a prefixed dinner and it was very good. We arrived early for our reservation so we had drinks at the bar. The bartender was knowledgeable and friendly. We had the four-course dinner and the options were all delicious. Highly recommend!
The food delicious, the service excellent, the atmosphere wonderful. There Were 3 in my party we all ordered a different entre for lunch and each one of us very pleased. our waiter George was great!
Stunned with my outrageously delicious and perfectly presented brunch! Popovers and fresh brewed coffee to start our delectable experience...My savory & sweet Ham Palacsinta (Hungarian) & Apple crepes (French) were out of this world! I added 2 poached eggs! Mmmmm good idea! I can't wait to return for another brunch--it was memorable!!! You guys go ahead and gorge on Chicken n Waffles somewhere else...I'll be here at Paulette's!!!
Great intimate atmosphere. The service was quick and refined. The Paulette's filet mignon was cooked exactly to order and had great flavor. My wife had the shrimp and grits and said it was one of the best she had sampled.
Paulette’s is one that dear to me! Awesome breakfast, brunch, and dinner. And those delicious turnovers with their signature strawberry butter!!
Atmosphere was great. We did the chief's special and it was awesome.
This is the restaurant we go to for our wedding anniversary as long as we are in town. The Filet Paulette is delicious!
The crowd was more of my parent's age so it's not somewhere I will frequent until I'm in the 50 bracket. The food was good but too refined for my taste.
I went here last night to celebrate with my wife and was a bit disappointed. The atmosphere and ambience definitely get 5 stars, but other than that, the food and service were just average. The server was nice, but she wasn't extraordinary - didn't go above and beyond, didn't talk much, and when she told me she'd bring me back a drink refill she never did. I didn't mind those small things, but for a restaurant like this where you keep hearing rave reviews about the service you kind of have higher expectations. Now the food was just average at best. The "poppers" that they give complimentary to start with are extremely bland and very messy to eat (you get the powdered white sugar all over you hands and table - and even your dark clothes if you're not careful). The strawberry jam they give with it is also okay, but still, it's nothing special that I'd look forward to having again. I ordered the crab and spinach crepes, an item that I was told was one of the more "popular" ones - and although it was served hot with good presentation - the taste was very average. I've had better tasting food at chain restaurants like Chili's, TGI Fridays, Olive Garden, etc. Honestly, if you want a place with a nice, cozy setting and a romantic ambience this place isn't bad at all (they do have the nice mini candle lit lamps and fresh roses on each table) - but keep your expectations low because the service and food are just average and not really worth the price in my opinion. We did not have any wine so I can't say much about that. If you're willing to dish out $75-$100 for 2 (with no alcohol) on an average tasting meal with a nice ambience - go for it. It's not bad for trying once. But, I'm sure there are other restaurants in Memphis that provide just as nice an ambience and better food and service to match with it.
We absolutely loved it. Fine dining, great food. Very fancy
The food is bland and the atmosphere is stuffy.
Amazing food and exceptional service. The weekend brunch was delightful!
The waiter was loud. He would ask a question and then walk off before you could answer him. It was very weird. We liked the small rooms until a boisterous party of 4 was seated next to us. The food was not that special. Tasted like something I could make from Blue Apron. Catherine and Mary's and Hog and Hominy are way above the overrated Andrew Michael.
Simply love the experience they offer here!
Very nice place with good food!
Amazing classy atmosphere. Dress up for this place. Well worth every dollar. Excellent and safe location
Excellent
Awesome service, great food, highly recommend
Good food. Small portions.
We always enjoy coming here to celebrate- and tonight we tried their $19.95 Monday Dinner Special, very tasty. Great service and delicious food. We love it!
Great ambiance, good staff, average meals. I had one of the specials, a goat cheese and mushroom stuffed in a flaky pastry, which was ok but not fantastic. My husband had Filet Paulette, which was a bit grisly and covered in a butter cream sauce. He said the sauce was there to cover a sub par cut of filet. Another in our party got the Crabmeat and Spinach crêpes; read carefully because it's 2 crêpes, one with just crabmeat and one with just spinach. The stuffed mushrooms appetizers were nice. But all in all, we will probably consider other restaurants on our next trip to Memphis. Disappointing, as it is conventionally close to where family members live.
My mother's day experience was horrible. I didn't like the "fixed" selections they offered, but I decided to try it anyways. The food taste as if it was pre-cooked sitting in a warmer waiting for the next order. I normally love this place, but it seems the quality is not as it was once upon a time. It will be a while before I go back.
This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to, the service was horrendous, it was on mother’s day. It was three of us and they treat us like we did not belong there. We were there 30 mins I ask the hostess 3 time where was our server. She kept say he is coming. I requested a manager she finally came and said she is coming. All these servers walking around folding napkins not making eye contact with us. I t appears they did not want to serve African Americans I felt I was back in the 60s. Finally a you g man John came around the chandler said he would help us and apologized to us and said he would take care of us. The manager was walking around checking on other tables and never looked at us. I know we should have left but we did not have reservations anyplace else. I am not sure if anyone else has experienced this but they are racist in this restaurant.
Any place you walk into and you're asked if you have a reservation when it's empty you know is going to be trouble. But let me back up- First, the food was amazing. I had redfish with crab on top and my wife had seafood and spinach crepes. Hers was priced reasonable at $22 I think but my dish was $33 and when it was served I thought they had dropped most of it on the floor before coming to the table. It was redicuously over priced and small. When we arrived we were told we couldn't be seated without a reservation. Then we were told it would be about 15 minutes without one. Ok, that's not unreasonable. Then as we got seated, we were told the server may be a while since we weren't expected. He showed up five minutes later and was not exactly a warm individual. It was all just very bizarre. But, the food was good.
