I used to patronize Naru frequently when it first opened but stopped after moving away. After today I will definitely be making the trip more often! Naru revamped its menu with tons of new options and delicious flavors! There new taco and sandwich options have proven to be wins! The prices have gone up a bit but it is still a cheaper option than most restaurants in town. Two can eat for around $23-$25 and it be enough food for lunch tomorrow! My boyfriend and I were very impressed with the attentive waist staff as well and their knowledge of the menu. If you like options and eat a lot, this is the place for you!

The service was slow and the girl was very rude, the table was sticky and obviously hadn’t been cleaned, my fiancé and I both ordered the hibachi plate and it was overcooked and everything was very sweet tasting for some reason, took 15 minutes to get our drinks and we waited almost an hour for our food, there were hardly any people when we went so I don’t know why is took so long, the salad was a tiny bowl of lettuce with a small plastic cup of ranch and the onion soup was cold, I’ve had better food from food trucks that cost less and have friendlier service, will definitely not be back.

Food is good but they keep getting cheaper and cheaper, last time i ordered a hibachi chicken i only had about 6 or 7 small pieces of chicken. Also the inside of the restaurant always smell weird.

HOSTILE EMPLOYEES, terrible food I have ordered take out twice through bite squad. The first time it was an hour to get the food redelivered because it was incorrect. So this time, I decided to take the food down myself and get it fixed because it might be faster. When I walked in, a bitesquad girl walked in just ahead of me. I watched as she gave the lady her order number and then politely asked if they could check the order. The lady refused and got pretty hostile. The girl said her other orders had been wrong that day and she didn't want to lose any more tips. She also said she wasn't allowed to open the boxes and needed their help. It was absolutely awful how this girl was treated for trying to do her job. The employees all watched as this lady kept yelling at this poor girl until she was in tears. I didn't even bother to speak to them. I set the food on the table and shook my head, and walked out the door. I WILL NEVER RETURN. I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW ABOUT WHAT I SAW THIS DAY. This explained two things: 1. Why both orders I have ever gotten from them were wrong. 2. Why there was no one else in the restaurant during what should be the busiest time. The food is mediocre at best.

The food was great. The service was great as well. The only issue I had was the carpet floor. It was so sticky and black. When I went to use the bathroom my flip flops were sticking to the floor. I would have left a five star review but the carpet issue kept me from giving it.

The customer service was absolutely terrible, the food is pre-made, items missing from our meals, and even our waiter laughed and said "probably should wrote your order down, huh" when I asked how long my sushi would be. The sushi was actually really really good, BUT we did not receive it until we were almost done with our meals when I ordered it with our drinks. I will not be going here again.

I've been here multiple times in the past with varying results. However, the last two times I visited the restaurant I've come down with food poisoning from spoiled sushi. (The first time I was not certain it originated from Naru) The staff is fine, but there are plenty of other places in town that will serve you sushi that will not get you sick.

Best sushi in town. They have half price sushi rolls on Tuesday and Saturday. If you can navigate the entire list of "rules" you can get a pretty good deal too. The Bento box is a good deal too. Makes for dinner and lunch the next day.

I swing by every time I am in Conway, which sadly isn't often enough! Giant bibimbap is delicious! My son loves this place so much we had his graduation party at Naru in 2015! Delicious.

We went for lunch and had so much to eat we simply could not finish it! Everything was fresh and delicious. It has a very authentic taste to me. There are enough options to please people with a variety of taste. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and service was fast to boot. Pricing is very fair for the portion you get and the quality of food. I would definitely recommend this place if you like Asian cuisine.

Good sushi at a great price (on tuesday, wednesday, and saturday) My wife and I are huge fans of sushi and naru is the only place we really go in conway. About weekly we stop by and pick up the tokyo drift, miami, and dragon fighter rolls (my personal favorite). We also grab a kids meal for our little one. Soup is also included at no additional charge. Before tip all that food comes out to $28. It's amazing. I have eaten sushi a lot of places and I feel that Naru is on par with most places I have been away from the coasts. Other reviews claim the sushi is worse than kroger or a chinese buffet. I would strongly disagree with that. We mostly go on saturday and Alex is generally our server. He does a great job serving us. Several reviews have mentioned the poor service. We have had a few trips with poor service, but they were mostly due to new staff. Most of our experiences are very positive. The value for the price is almost impossible to beat in my opinion. Sushi used to be a special occasion for us as it would generally run us into the $50 or so range. With naru the sushi is just as good and it's cheaper than going to blaze pizza or any other restaurant in town that isn't taco bell.

My husband and I have always loved this place, but today was horrible. The food was awesome as always. But the manager has a very nasty attitude. I went in to place s to go order( because my husband wanted their onion soup. Just coming out of recovery ) I went to the restroom while there and restroom was very clean, but on the toilet paper hold there was a spray bottle of lysol cleaner with bleach. I took quite to the front desk to let them know that they should put this out of site of small children. The manager took it a stated we alway leave it there. I told her some small child could spray it in their eyes or something. She didn't care took it back in the restroom but this time she did put it behind the toilet which was good. I waited for my order she never said another word until I was let my waitress know that I wasn't trying to make a scene she told me with stern loud voice that it wasn't their problem that if something happened it would be the parents fault. Really are you kidding..... someone need to correct her nasty attitude.

The only thing good about this place is the price. They used to be decent; I've been here four or five times for lunch in the past and thought their Bento special was one of the best deals in town. Today, the service was miserable - forgetful and kind of rude honestly. Their iced tea was super weak. They didn't even include wasabi with the sushi. Really irratating. I got there 5.99 special. I got asked if I wanted steamed rice or fried. I said fried. I ordered over the phone. When I got there they charged me a extra 1.00 for fried rice. Loved this place! Server was very knowledgeable and prompt, and the menu was more varied than the typical sushi joint around here. Great specials, including BOGO margaritas and half price rolls were a nice surprise. Try the Ahi Tower, it was amazing.

1. There is no music in the resturant heard every single conversation 2. Large hideous gap in the middle of the restaurant. 3. Interior design really bad. We came in to eat when we had just ordered drinks and me and my brothers dr. came in and greeted us and told us not to eat here as she was returning her food. The sushi is pretty good. I really enjoy it. The best 3 rolls we have found so far are the 'angry wife', 'Tokyo drift', and 'dragon fighter'. The atmosphere is meh. Could be better but I don't really care a whole lot as long as the food is good. I gave a 4 star because the service is spotty. Sometimes we have good service, but other times it's not friendly at all. The plus side is that even when the server isn't friendly, she still kept our drinks filled.

WORST Asian restaurant, yet. No option for zero rating, so here goes: Lunchtime would seem to be a bit frantic, yes. But, we were pretty well ignored and the food was awful. The only thing that was fairly edible was the clear soup that came with the luncheon meal. Gyoza was OVERCOOKED and very bland. The orange chicken was this greasy bits of chicken swimming in a gelatinous deep, dark orange goo - very unappealing and overly sweetened. Aside from the sugar, there wasn't any subtle orange flavor and the fried rice was hardly anything special. Just plain rice that had been tossed in some oil. The cheesesteak (yeah, don't order American foods in an Asian restaurant, right) was nothing more than teriyaki beef plopped onto a low-grade hamburger bun that was likely purchased at a nearby food wholesale establishment. The sweet potato fries were made using tempura batter - could have been a nice touch had the tiniest bit of sea salt been added, but no. Bland, bland, bland. Sushi chef? Are you kidding? If either of those guys was a sushi chef, I would eat my own wallet. Will not be returning to this establishment, EVER.

As a college student I live on Naru’s half price sushi, every Wednesday and Saturday. Especially on Saturday’s the place gets crowded, you should expect a long wait. While you can’t beat the prices and friendly wait staff the sushi itself, every role I’ve had, has a sweetness to it that becomes an acquired taste.

What is the point of your 50% off sushi special? Truly, I implore you to dig deep inside yourself and decide what is the freaking point? You advertise so hard what you CAN'T order, as a customer I'm left to wonder what I CAN order which seems to be nothing. The only part of your business that leaves me more perplexed is how sticky your carpet is. Is the sushi special what is breaking you so hard you can't afford to clean your carpet? The building is disgusting. The people who own the place are obviously cheapskates. They apparently can't afford to run a special on sushi, they can't afford to keep the place clean, so it's safe to assume they don't treat their employees right. There are plenty of other hibachis in town. Why would I pick this one ever again?

Came back again for the sushi deal, and really enjoyed the Golden California Roll and the second Crazy Cheese Roll! Tempura Roll ended up being an awesome Adventure as well!

Great food, but their consistently terrible service is the reason I'm even taking the time to post this. I am a server, I understand how difficult it can be (I always tip 20% minimum), but today's experience was just too much: I've always had issues with them over the past year with getting orders wrong and servers taking too long to come back to the table for drinks, taking orders/cards, etc., but today was the worst service I have ever received at any restaurant, period. The one star is ONLY because the food is good, at least when they don't mess up your order and actually get it to you in under an hour. Called twice to place an order for pickup, no one picked up the phone. I drove to the restaurant and placed my order, then called the restaurant while standing inside just to see if I had the right number. I did have the right number; the phone could be heard ringing clearly across the entire restaurant, as no music is played to create any sort of atmosphere (seriously, you can hear EVERYONE'S conversations around you). I watched two servers walk straight past the ringing phone: one went to a table of customers and the other casually walked to the bathroom. I left and came back to pick up my order. The man who greeted me sat me down at a table and took my card for payment. I then watched him set the card down on the counter and LEAVE IT THERE UNATTENDED as countless people walked by. Another server began sitting people AT the table I had been told to wait at, awkwardly asking me to move in almost incomprehensible English. I walked over and picked my card back up off of the counter, then waited for five minutes before another worker asked if I needed anything. As I was finally being checked out, the phone (sitting next to the register) began to ring. An employee picked up the phone, did not answer, hit END CALL, then said to her coworker "It's so annoying how the phone keeps ringing." WHAT? I've never seen coworkers blatantly refuse to serve people because it's "annoying" to do so. Considering how I'd called previously, this of course struck a cord with me. I then told them I had called three times to try and place an order and no one answered the phone, to which one of the workers replied to me "Well at least you got your food." Are you kidding me? Yes I got my food, after taking two trips to the restaurant and wasting a good thirty minutes of time. After a business did not answer its business phone to do BUSINESS with customers, I should have had the mind to go somewhere else. If you want good food at the price of terrible service, go to Naru. If you're like everyone else and want good food while dealing with someone who is at least decently pleasant or good at their job, go anywhere else in Conway.

The Asian lady which I’m assuming is the manager was absolutely disrespectful. She is rude and rolled her eyes at us because we weren’t ready to order. It was not even busy that day so she had no reason to be. She was extremely rude to her associates. The food is good, but with the service she provided, was not worth it. The other associates were very nice and took care of us, but her name was as our waitress on our receipt so we refused to leave a tip. I never leave a review, but this time I had to.

Probably my favorite restaurant in town, now. The prices are pretty high, but it's the only place in town at that price point that's actually worth it anymore. The Korean food is as authentic as you'll get in the area; if they have jjajangmyeon on the special, you should give it a try. With markup, tax, and tip, you're going to spend around $20 on a $6 bottle of soju, though, so maybe pregame it.

The food was delicious! Soup was tasty and hot, salad crispy and chilled. Great presentation of the entree. Price was great, friendly staff. I will be going to Naru often!

First the good; decent California, Philly and rainbow rolls, good onion soup, and seaweed salad. Also, the service was good. Beware of the miso soup (inedible amount of salt) and the edemame (swimming in oil and salt).

Update: I am pleased to update this review and raise the rating to a full 5 stars. I have eaten here twice since my original review and both have been very pleasant experiences. My second time here I was once again served by Nikki but her attitude was much improved, in fact, she was very friendly. Possibly she was just having a bad day the first time. I am now quite happy to recommend Naru to folks looking to grab a tasty lunch. I intend to eat here in the evening soon amend this review if needed. Give them a try!! I had lunch here at Naru on a rainy day and found their soup tasty and satisfying. I also had an appetizer that was also quite tasty. I am not much of a sushi person but I noticed many people ordering it and they seemed very satisfied. The ambiance was relaxing and the dining room was clean and orderly. Overall, that part of the experience was good, 4-5 stars on those aspects. However, the server, Nikki, had a very poor attitude for someone who serves the public and makes her income from tips. She was abrupt, impatient, and acted as though waiting on customers was beneath her. I can only hope she is not among the ownership or family or else she will surely be in a new line of work soon. Possibly she can get a job at the DMV ... lol. In summary, the server's attitude reduced an otherwise very good dining experience. I work out at the gym across the street and could easily see this as a regular lunch spot if I were to find out Nikki was gone. Normally, I only write only positive reviews but took the time to post this in hopes things will change.

Was going to give it 5 stars but then this happened; I live in Fayetteville and I went to Conway to spend time with my girlfriend. We wanted to just have some laid back time watching TV while eating some Asian food, so we ordered for pick up here. We order a fried rice with chicken and beef, the lady we were talking to even asked my girlfriend (she was the one calling them) to repeat, which she did. Somehow, the lady only heard chicken, at least that's what she said. So we picked up the food, drove back to our place, when we were saddened to find out the mistake on the order. So we called back, and the same lady, I presume, rudely tried to convince my girlfriend that she only ordered the chicken. I was there when she ordered, it was even on speaker. So I know for sure that she didn't. So they argued for a few seconds, then my girlfriend said "I'm telling you that I ordered chicken and beef, and then the lady finds a way to change things a little. If it was a simple mistake I understand, it happens, but at least the customer service must be way better. Simply acknowledge that you didn't hear properly instead of arguing. The food on the other hand is good. So 2 stars because although the food is good, I cannot take disrespect.

Worst place ever. I recently just moved here and have yet to find a decent sushi place in Conway. I ordered sashimi and usually sashimi is served in thinner slices but what I got was thick marshmallow like slices of fish. The food is pretty bland for Korean food. The waitress was friendly though.

I went during lunch hour on a Friday and the food still came out very quickly. Although to be honest the service wasn't the greatest I understand they were busy but the food came out quick and it taste good and it was only $6 for a big place of chicken rice and veggies so that's what matters

1. There is no music in the resturant heard every single conversation 2. Large hideous gap in the middle of the restaurant. 3. Interior design really bad. Old paint, old wood alot of chipped wood and Carpet stains. Walls are Dirty with water stains. 4. Ordered sushi. 2 plates in happy hour. Very small portions and has no flavor. 5. Ordered Bibimbap. Egg was nasty. Noodles were freezing. Rice was cold and Just regular meat. Reminds me of my cafeteria meat in college. 6. Total was $24 with no tip included and two water 7. Waitress and manager were very sweet nice people but Its just not a good restaurant im sorry :(

Great fresh sushi. I would highly recommended the Volcano Roll if you want something with a little heat or the Arkansas River Roll for a sweeter flavor. Many choices to choose from. And if sushi isn't your thing there are many other options. The chicken fried rice is to die for and the serving size is well worth the price. I often order take out from here and it never takes more then 15 to 20 minutes for them to have my order ready. However, if you dun in during lunch I diner hours you will find yourself with a long wait to recieve your food. The alcohol is way over priced but that usually happens when you want to have a drink in a dry county. Over all though the experience is pretty great.

The HABACHI SPECIAL WITH Shrimp was outstanding. I found the food, services and prices all very good. My wait staff was attentive and courteous, and my bill was low. For the price I would have expected below par quality. I was wrong, even the sliced onions and vegetables tasted like fine dining. Immediatley called a friend and we will both be eating at Naru, soon.

Last few times I went things went wrong. Multiple times either I waited the time given for my takeout to ne ready only to arrive and find that they haven't even started on my order yet (as in they forgot) or I get there and I'm forced to wait 25-45 minutes before someone will get to me so I can pay and receive my order. I use to love this place and still love the food, but the big decline in customer service will keep me from going there again.
