This Restaurant belongs to the category of Japanese steakhouse.
This place was terrible I went to get the lunch menu price and it’s not even worth that. I’m so disappointed I can make 10 times better hibachi on my own. I can’t believe what people get away with selling these days I need to stop playing and open up my own chain of businesses
I've been here a few times. This visit I ordered the chicken teriyaki with the fried rice and it was good. Great flavor! We also ordered a California and fried shrimp roll...delicious! The staff was attentive and friendly. A great dining experience.
The hibachi was just ok, it lacked flavor and the timing of the items coming off the grill was spaced too far apart.
Hibachi is always good but it seems like the show is always the same.
Great service good food
Better show than most other hibachi places. Good food. I think they've cut back on the serving sizes though, and the bonus shrimp.
Excellent food and service for the 32 years I've been coming here!
This place really used to be my favorite Japanese steakhouse. The quality really has declined in my opinion. The chefs don't seem to entertain anymore they just clink the utensils and make big fire and move on. The quality of the food isn't even as good as it used to be. Don't get me wrong, it's average, just not above average anymore.
Service was good, however, don't come here if you want good sushi.....you won't find it here. Hardly any fish on sushi.....
Always fun and good food
I called your restaurant yesterday at 1:30 to order your roll combo which I almost exclusively order. I placed the order and at the end the person (Rachel) says sorry we cannot take your request for a roll combo because it is the weekend, I was confused so I asked what she meant. She said we don't serve lunch on the weekends, dinner only. I have placed the same order the Roll Combo $8.95 each time I order. She says you cant order that but you can order the dinner combo for $24. I said I'll pass on that and could you please let me speak to a manager, she says no, I said if you could just put a manager on the phone please. She said no and hung up on me. I called back and she says hello, I said manager please, she hangs up on me again. I call back and she picks up and tells her coworker "Same Guy, I think he's crazy" and hangs up. My wife had placed an order also and that's why I figured I would handle two things at once and call so when I picked up my order I asked a different employee for the name of the restaurant owner he referred me to the Rachel person who says "you were calling earlier" I said yes so I'll need the name of the owner. She says I don't give that information out and starts laughing, I have never before been laughed at by an employee of any establishment. This was probably the worst customer service experience I've ever encountered. And this restaurant needs to help it's employees to understand simple customer service.
Great food, the steak that I ordered rare, actually was! Entertaining chefs. Great experience!
Very entertaining knowledgeable staff. Great food.
Disappointing and overpriced. The hibashi chef was amateurish and the 2 sauces for the meats & veggies were horrible. It was not worth the $200 bucks we shelled out for the 4 of us.
Quick.lunch, good selection, good servo e. Decent price.
The absolute worst sushi I’ve had in Little Rock by far. Never again
Very good. Shotguns was the best but since they are closed Kobe is a suitable replacement
We enjoyed the food and staff
This place never disappoints, as the food is good and the waitstaff is usually very kind and friendly. I always leave a tip, which is a big thing for me, as it is a sign that I was taken care of efficiently. I last visited a week prior and the server was too good to be true. He was very attentive to all his customers as I enjoyed listening to the rapport between him and his guests. He treated us more like guests than patrons, which was very good. He kept my glass full, often asked how I was doing, and even took the initiative to notice which dipping sauce I liked and brought me more of it. I enjoyed my visit so much that I tipped $10 on a $27 tab, which is a big deal for me as I often try to stick to 10% of tab. Back to my current visit as David is a very delightful person who will conversate with you, and make you feel like an old friend. I haven't visited the Habachi area in awhile, probably because I have enjoyed the casual dining area a little too much.
I work for doordash and for some reason the person that I was to grill a potato food to did not show up to pick the food up and I ended up having to eat it myself and I was not pleased by The Who if Sushi was fine but the beef and shrimp that she ordered was over cook the fried rice was not good. She paid all that money for that food and I think it was not worth it
The sushi was delicious & fairly priced.
Excellent food and entertainment for what you pay.
Totally enjoy this place. Always friendly an the food is great.
Great place for a quick bite on a Saturday afternoon. Staff was very friendly and the sushi was excellent.
Went in to place a to-go order, sat and waited for over an hour only to find out the order hadn't even been sent to the back yet. After another 30mins of waiting I finally got my order. The "manager" do give me almost half my money back though. Which helped the issue, BUT then I got home only to find that I was missing one of the main parts of my meal. Called the restaurant to inform them, but they didn't understand what I was tryin to explain and could only repeat sorry over and over. Food was great, but service needs a lot of work. Will not be eating here again.
The food is always great
Ok
The server forgot to bring my spouse his sushi, but other than that...it was a pleasant experience.
The food is good but the service is not. Waited 10 minutes to be seated and another 10 for someone the take our drink order. And this was at 2pm with only 2 other people in the restaurant. They brought out our sushi but forgot our appetizer and our sides. We were done eating by the time they tried to bring them out. A manager was yelling at a cook the entire time we were dining.
Good hibachi restaurant, but be prepared to wait a while. We were there for about 40 mins before the chef came out. Food tasted good, and the "show" was pretty standard, but not the most engaging we've had at a place like this. Overall, not a bad experience, but we'll definitely try some other places.
Very pleased with the sushi
If you’re visiting Little Rock (especially if you’re staying at or near the Embassy Suites) you should eat here at least once! Visited for dinner on New Year’s Day and the restaurant was almost empty; this sometimes result in poor service and lackadaisical staff, but not here! The service was outstanding from start to finish! We were promptly greeted at the door, our waiter checked on us constantly, and the chef put on a great show even though it was just the five of us. Food was cooked perfectly (Teriyaki chicken and NY strip) and both the server and chef answered our questions on the sauces and drink selections in detail. This was my family’s first visit to a Japanese steakhouse and it set a great impression!
The food was amazing! The servers unfortunately weren't. We had to go flag someone down or our cook had to for drink refills.
Good food.
Our hibachi cook Adam was extremely nice! The food was great as well.
The staff are sooo nice! My Sushi is awesome and both of my friends stake is cooked flawlessly!
I freaking LOVE this place nice people, always watching you in case your drinks get low or you need something. Spent 70$ and do not regret it at all
The food is always super slow to get to the customer. Was there to pick up some food one day, watched them seat some and didn't take their order until the individual got up and asked the staff if someone was going to wait on them. Hopefully this improves quickly.
People are friendly, is kid friendly and you can share from your plate with your son not like others that they don't let you share and the food is super good!!
Great food and experience
I was really disappointed when we went in for lunch to The Hibachi Table. They do not do a show they only cook the food for lunch. That was the first let down, but our cook really did not speak to us at all which I thought kind of made it awkward considering there was four separate parties at one table. I gave it a 3-star because the food was not bad, I actually thought it was seasoned well and tasted great. It was the service that I was not impressed with.
Great service...very good japanese food
Amazing
Food was Delicious and service was fast. Our server was also really Nice.
Great sushi place
Drove a long way out of my way because I heard this place was good. Got there at 1:45 and they turned me away because they close at 2:00. So unaccommodating
Friendly staff. The salmon and spicy tuna rolls were excellent.
Always a great show when seated at hibach i and always great food. This chef had tricks I had never seen before. I loved my squid salad, steak with lobster and screwdriver.
Very good we had the habachi grill the cook was not so good as far as entertainment but the food was great.
pretty good food.
Good food and great sushi . Very friendly staff
Loved it
Good scallops
I absolutely love this place. It's a bit pricey, but it's so worth it for a good show and a great meal.
Can improve service. Food was good.
Yum and great service
By far my favorite Hibachi in Little Rock. They also serve hibachi during lunch and give you roughly the same portion as you get during dinner, but it is MUCH cheaper.
Food was excellent. Loved the atmosphere... Will definitely go back when I am in town
Large portions, slightly overpriced, but really good food.
loved this place, the food is amazing! everyone is super friendly.
The food was good as always, but the show was a little hum-drum. Much better in the past.
Nice staff, good food
Great food, clean environment
David is feaking awesome! Say hi to him he is a very nice guy. The food is amazing and staff is excellent.
Really fantastic service. Very friendly and engaging staff.
Ordered the Steak and Shrimp combo and it came with the rice, everything was good except that yum-yum sauce which aways tastes like mayo and restaurants except Fuji's
Visited on a Wednesday for lunch. Parking is difficult but eventually got a space. The place was clean, the service was excellent and I have to admit we had some of the best tasting California rolls. We ordered the lunch entrees. The veggies could use some work, they were a little bland. The filet mignon was tasty. Overall good experience. Would visit again for the sushi.
Very good little expensive even with out drinks kids like the cook a lot I let them give him the ten Christmas Eve dinner
Waited 10 minutes for service. Hibachi chef was slow, waiter never came and the place just felt lame. Went to Samurai down the road and it was great!
Food was mediocre at best. The cook's presentation was good. Service was horrible! Waiter spoke very little English. My husband asked for another drink and the waiter brought him the ticket...we were still in the middle of our meal. My mom didn't get one of the sushi rolls she ordered so she asked about it. We had been charged for it...we knew this since we already had the ticket!! The waiter brought her roll and set it in front of her. She was pretty sure it wasn't what she ordered but she felt of it to make sure and, of course, it wasn't. She called the waiter back over and told him that it was not what she ordered. He took it, looking very confused, went over to the sushi bar and THEN, brought it to another table and served it to someone else!!!
Worst experience ever! Chef not very knowledgeable, had a fake accent. Very young. Very slow, food was very cold by the time our meal was completely prepared. Steak was very tough, veggies and rice were soggy. Ask for assistance in trying to explain to manager on duty. Nothing done to rectify this matter. Very expensive lesson with not being able to finish our meal. Please save yourself some time and money. However, one staff was quite nice that took our drink orders, the only highlight to a very disappointing evening. As I read over the reviews, it is amazing that we experienced very similar stories. This was way too much money to be hungry at the end of the meal with inedible food. We have never been to a restaurant of this magnitude and not be offered a resolution. Very sad night.
Loud environment on first time visit. Sweet tea way too sweet. Staff and food was ok.
Nasty food, nasty place and rude people. Never eat over anymore.p
Absolutely the best sushi in Little Rock
Let me first say I’ve never had disappointing Hibatchi, until today. The server, when asked about any changes, responded “probably not”, instead of checking. The chef was a good guy, but only did the minimum tricks, the fire ball in the beginning, and train in the middle. He was worn out, and asked me what time it was near the end of cooking our food. Ok, on to the food. I’m always able to substitute Miso soup for the Clear Soup, but not here. Well, “probably not”. The clear soup tasted like greasy water. Our kids Hibatchi meals didn’t come with vegetables, they love vegetables, so we had to give them ours. Their meals did come with plenty of fried rice that was made with a wasabi-based sauce. Never heard of such a thing. At any rate, I love wasabi, but this wasn’t good. The kids barely ate any of their rice, and they love Hibatchi-style fried rice. Their meat portions were also skinny. Avoid this place.
Ordered the OMG roll. Was soggy on the bottom to the point that it was falling apart. Sat in a booth and ordered from the hibachi when we got our sushi. Another couple came in at that moment and sat down. That couple was asking for a to go drink and already leaving BEFORE we even got our food. Food came out and while the proteins and rice were really good, the veggies were completely raw. I'm talking untouched by heat whatsoever. Onions, broccoli, zucchini, and mushrooms COLD! No resemblance of cooking either. It's like they forgot to make our food then hurried through it when it was brought to their attention. The ONLY reason I'm giving 2 stars Is due to our waiter. This young man brought his A game. On top of everything and very nice. The place had maybe 4 others tables in it and he was very good. I used to love this place but I most likely wont be back.
Clean setting, food good, welcome service
I have been to other Kobe locations, but my experience here was sub-par. It could be because I went there for lunch during the weekday for business. The fried rice was just ok, they really skimpt on the veggies, the steak tasted strange, same with chicken. Just to be certain it wasn't me, brought home my left overs, which was most of beef and chicken, and my wife immediately wanted to have some because she loves Japanese steak houses. She tried both and said it wasn't good at all.
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. The soup and salad were good and the sushi was decent, but the rest of the food was terrible. The steak was so tough and dry we could barely eat it, the rice was overcooked and crispy and barely had any flavor, and the vegetables were burnt and had a burnt taste that almost made it unbearable to eat. The cook was really nice and personable, but the food was just awful. It was pretty disappointing because money is tough and when you spend $85 at a restaurant, you expect the food to be good. Ours was almost not even edible. Then I asked them to sing happy birthday to my boyfriend and they said they charge $10? That's weird because most places do it for free. Anyways... just a really disappointing night, not only for me because I wanted to make my boyfriend's birthday great, but for my boyfriend as well. Sucks spending that much money just to get food you can barely stand to eat.
I've been here numerous times over the years and I've always had top notch service. Attentiveness to our refills, politeness and just great customer service. Oh, the food? Could. Not. Be. Better!!!
I came here and there is one problem, as you can see it a big one, I put 1 star, its WAY to over priced, I left before I ordered anything, $4 for an extra plate! Most places give you plates to use for no extra charge! This place is crazy expensive.
Great food. Great service. Very tasty!
Food and service we're good. Parking was tight.
Great service! We had someone in our group that was allergic to shrimp so they prepared his food behind the counter instead at our table. He also requested no onions so instead of the normal soup they bring out, which has onions in it, they brought him a different soup. They were very accomidating to his needs. Very nice evening. Our Chef was very funny.
Great food, great service, a little pricey but they dont skimp out at all. Booth seats are comfortable as hell. Love it.
It says the restaurant closes at 10pm. Even if a customer comes in at 9:40pm, y’all should be able to serve us. It’s not even 10:00pm yet! Might as well say y’all close at 9:40pm!!!!
Overpriced for the value, but the staff was very kind.
I didn't like it at all. The chicken was dry and the yum yum sauce did not taste like yum yum sauce at all
Delicious as usual.
Very good food... Chef was very entertaining
Excellent food but pricey
Good Food
Excellent. Hands down best sushi I've had in quite a while
The food is always good and fresh
I hate to have to give this place a single star. My husband and I have been coming here since we moved to Little Rock about 2 years ago. The food as always been good and the service as well, however, I recently purchased an Arkansas Daily Deal $30 off my dinner. When we went to redeem it, the manager on duty argued with us about it for 10 minutes saying that he could not redeem it, claiming that he was separate from the Conway location and that the coupon was only good for Conway. He even tried to say that he would "prove it" to us by showing us the deal online, but he couldn't even find it on his phone that he pulled out to "prove his case". My husband and I did NOT appreciate being yelled at by this manager and it was loud enough to be heard through the whole restaurant, even over the other hibachi tables. If it is only good for Conway, then how come the Little Rock location is listed as a merchant for redemption AND the description text says the following, "Come experience the amazing flavors of Japanese cooking at its best at either the Little Rock or Conway location." Sounds like he just wants to rip people off. Considering I paid for this coupon from Arkansas Daily Deals, I am very disappointed that they would not honor it. If you have a coupon, DO NOT expect this Kobe to honor it in anyway... And be prepared to argue because the manager will yell at you for trying to use it. Horrible customer service by the manager.
Best Steak in Arkansas!
Very good. Ask for Adam. Wonderful.
The waitress we had was quick and on top of everything! The food came out in a timely matter and the price was great for a night out with my parents. I'd recommend leaving abit earlier to avoid the dinner rush. All in all great Japanese food.
Good place to take the family or coworkers for a teppanyaki experience. Modern surroundings and good service.
This place is always delicious.
Not my favorite
Disappointing
I immediately noticed the disrepair of the walls... it's very off putting. I wasn't that pleased with the sushi rolls either. The service was good but I don't think I'll return soon.
Great show from the Hibachi chef!
The staff and chief where nice. Some of the best food I have every tasted. The chief also gave me a fist bump.
Haven't been here in a few years and will not be back. Ordered steak and chicken with fried rice. The chicken was bad. Tried to explain it to the waitress but she just looked at me and smiled. Most expensive and the worst! Do not go here.
Great atmosphere and delicious food. Was a little expensive for two people.
Great place!! The food and show was amazing! We ordered sushi and it came out on FIRE! The showman was amazing and very interactive. My dad was rude and the chef threw an onion on his water glass! (It was not empty!) I would reccomend this place to anyone!
Feels somewhat dated... like the first Japanese place you ever went to.
Looks delicious. Taste delicious
Disappointing quality of food and service.
Very poor location and parking. It is extremely hard to get in and out of this location especially when the vision place is open too. The food is ok but for the price it should be much better
Fantastic experience, delicious food. The waiters watched your table to make sure every need was taken care of. Respectful, kind and helpful for new AND veteran customers who have come here for date night alot. Would come again.
Sushi was decent, average+. Friendly service. Water glass never went dry.
Cheap, fast, and tasted great
Fun refreshing place to eat....great food. Just a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Food was excellent, steak was Soo tender.
By far the best hibachi and service I've ever had. Our chef, Qi, was amazing, funny, and talented. He paid special attention to my kids and the food was cooked to perfection. Our waiter was attentive and timely, and as someone who has spent plenty of time in the service industry I was impressed. I definitely will return for the sweet beef plate.
Good food
We liked it but it hurt both us our bellies. We ate at the grill. Food was good. Service good. We really liked our chef! Prices were not as good as shogun for the amount of food. We are used to getting alittle more for our money. It was very convenient to our hotel across the street.
We had 3 meals. Steak and shrimp, chicken & rice and steak and chicken 2 cokes and our bill was $80.00 and we barley got enough food to fill you up.
great drinks! great food!
Great food and service.
Food was good but service was lacking.
I used to love Kobe. They charge more for fried rice than steamed and they don't put enough egg...that being said, the food is delectable. I enjoy the dragon roll. The eel is always fresh an it's never a fatty cut. The hibachi is adequate for Arkansas. The wait staff has stopped wearing tradition Japanese garb which I thought was a nice touch. But if your going for strictly eats, it is a nice restaurant.
Came here for dinner during a school trip. Even though we came in a huge group of 16 we were able to sit near each other. My tables server seemed annoyed the whole time she was there. Even getting an attitude when one of my classmates ordered a non alcoholic version of a drink. Other than that the grill master was funny and kept us engaged. The food was incredible. And they make sure to ask about dietary concerns.
Best steak in town. Dinner with a show! Excellent!!!
Great ad mus fear great food
Some of the best waiters/waitress' I have ever had at a Hibachi Grill. The food was average Japanese food. Had a large group and was easily seated.
We enjoyed the hibachi experience. The steak, chicken, and shrimp were delish. The soup was a little bland which is why I gave it four stars. We will definitely be back!
My most favorite restaurant
Quite expensive, but amazing food!! Great chef's! My wife and I had a wonderful experience.
I was so disappointed with the food changes they have made. You pay more and get less. My rice was hard and less veggies. So I guess I will have to find a New favorite place.
Favorite Japanese restaurant
Tasty, fresh, and affordable! Friendly service and delicious food! Great for groups or an intimate night out!
Amazing
Best sushi I've had since moving from CALIFORNIA to Arkansas
Rice is delicious. My steak was overcooked and they made me a new one cooked just how I like. Very friendly staff.
I was the first one in at 11 and picked the sushi bar seating. The staff is very hospitable; the sushi chef and waitress were both very attentive. This fish was extremely fresh. I was nervous about eating raw sushi in a landlocked state (on business travel in AR), but was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
It was the worst Japanese Steakhouse I've ever been to. The cook was a blonde headed teenager using a fake accent. Horrible just horrible.
The food was good and the place was pretty clean but they do not have noodles! Noodles to me are a must for me so that was pretty disappointing but that's my biggest complaint.
The atmosphere means more to me than the food here. I like their sushi and the hibachi is decent. What makes this place special is the staff. They are incredibly friendly and attentive. One of the hibachi chefs goes by the name R2D2 and he is the best. We request him every time we eat here.
Was good given the nearby choices. I'm staying at the Embassy Suites next door and love Japanese food. Just got it to go, sure it would have been better fresh on site. Food was just average to me, service was slow. Saying that, I'll come back next time I stay at this hotel again (limited options).
Great food! Great service!
Great entertainment and food
I love everything I try at Kobe! The staff is friendly and the sushi is fresh and delicious— as well as the hibachi! Worth the price! Shrimp hibachi dinner is my go to and the AR roll is just too tasty.
good service,
AMAZING food and service
Got sick after eating there
Never disappointed. Perfect unagi nigiri. We love the staffs humor
Great food
Nope!!! Tried this place twice. The food was not that good the first time and we never planned to return until we were asked to eat there with someone on the their birthday. We thought maybe it would be better the second time. The second time was even worse! The person who was having the birthday was very disappointed as well. The rice was mushy...the steak was not a good cut or something. I couldn’t even chew and swallow it. Poor service...board line rude. The second time we went, the cook was insulting to one of the guest at our table. It was very undeserved. Not a place I will ever go again...even if it were free!
It's dinner & a show! Food is great staff, & cooks great. The remove they've done looks amazing! I highly recommend
That was the best eatery place in little rock.
Good show made by the chef my favorite part was the onion fiery valcano. Price is a bit high but definitely worth the show. Food is served straight off the grill before your eyes and the chef was very polite, funny, and talkative
Good food, service was nice Habatci skill could be improved.
No idea how this place has such a swell rating. Menu doesn't align with what you get - oldest tasting fish I've gotten in a long time. Dark muscle strip was still in my fish which I'm sure added to the extremely poor taste. Poor presentation and it didn't even come with as many pieces (sushi OR sashimi) that the menu stated. No remedy for the poor quality food was offered by staff. Our waiter was the best part and I'm fairly certain he was let go because of an angry, unreasonable customer during the middle of our meal. A couple of things were "ok", most was disappointing. I certainly won't be back.
Shoguns was our jam. I went there my entire life, usually on my birthday, and despite how dirty the place looked (they hadn’t changed their ceiling tiles since at least 1984), their mustard sauce was life-changing. Call it nostalgia, but when I dialed 666-7070 to make a Shogun reservation and it dialed Kobe, my heart sank. The food is fine, just like a million other hibachi restaurants around the US. They have this pink mayo-esque sauce in lieu of the shoguns ginger and mustard, but our dinner was prepared well and the service was terrific. The dining room was extremely clean, too, no mean feat as this place has been around nearly 20 years. Parking was tight, and that combined with perfectly mediocre food means we won’t be back. RIP Shoguns on Cantrell!
Great food and service.
