Upscale, fine-quality Japanese with a few dishes that hearken to Korean and Chinese cuisine. Delicious sushi and fish and I'm told their Ramen is fantastic! Oh! And their salmon appetizer and their scallop appetizer were both BOMBSHELLS!

Fantastic food and the serving sizes were HUGE!!! It may be higher end, but the money is well worth what you get! The wait staff and atmosphere was perfect as well! They weren’t hovering the whole night but they knew when they were needed! Very friendly and cozy atmosphere. 100% recommend!

Amazing atmosphere, delicious food, and fair prices. The drinks are also well made; their bartenders know their craft. The presentation is impeccable, they even lit one of our sushi rolls on fire inside a tinfoil boat to give it a unique smokey taste. Just superb! The wait staff are also extremely attentive, but not suffocatingly so. The lighting the first time we went was subtle and relaxing, so I couldn't take any pictures, but we sat at the patio last time during late afternoon and it was fantastic.

I’m visiting from out of town and have eaten dinner here twice now. Both meals were excellent. This place offers warm Robata appetizers that make an excellent accompaniment to the sushi which is also unique and really good. Meals aren’t cheap but portions are large and worth the price considering the quality. If you are a foodie you will really like this place. No crazy music, just good eats! Pics are of scallop kobata, rib kobata, and crazy monkey sushi roll.

The food was fresh and deliciousif I had to point out one small negativity which may be something great to somebody else I thought that the pieces of smoked salmon inside the Philadelphia roll were huge and took up almost the entire roll it was a bit disgusting but yet it was so fresh that it made it okay and if there was no cream cheese in it which I loved one of the reasons I love the Philly rolls so much the salmon in the cream cheese with the veggies is delicious I really like this place it was clean and the staff was so friendly it was just amazing

This place is outstanding. The staff was very attentive. Food was very flavorful. Everything was clean, even the top of the picture frames. That's how I check a new restaurant I visit. Go to the bathroom and find a item on the wall. Get a paper towel and wipe across the top. It was cleaned. Very impressed

Great environment. The servers were friendly and I enjoyed every dish I tried. It's hard to find good sushi in Little Rock but I definitely enjoyed theirs. The bartender did an excellent job on our drinks as well... A little on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. I recommend this spot to out-of-town'ers looking for Asian cuisine with a twist to it.

My husband and I ate here for the first time to celebrate my birthday and we will definitely be coming back. We made our reservations online and it was quick and easy. After living in Japan for 3 years, one thing I really miss while living in landlocked Arkansas is good sushi. Kemuri is the best I've found in the state so far. You will pay for the pleasure to be sure, especially if you're as particular about your sushi choices as I am, but a lot of the cost comes from having fresh fish shipped in every other day. The fish is as fresh as it gets if you live more than a few miles from the coast and the sticky rice is done well (not something to be underestimated). My only complaint with the sushi itself was that my second set was served with warm rice instead of chilled, which takes away from the overall taste a bit. I also had the habachi rice with chicken. It wasn't bad but nothing to write home about. It comes in a huge bowl but 90+ percent is rice with only a thin layer of meat and veggies on top. I wouldn't consider the amount of chicken I got with the meal as being worth the extra $4. I found myself wishing that I had saved the $14 and gotten more nigiri instead. I get the impression that they do sushi well but the other options are just standard fare. I considered trying the ramen but I always check where they get their noodles first and since theirs are pre-packaged I decided not to risk it. There is nothing wrong with specializing, but I'm not sure they're doing themselves any favors by adding extra items onto the menu just to give variety. Take my advice and stick to sushi items. You won't be disappointed.

The food and the restaurant was great! Tasty and fresh with excellent service and gracious staff. Though, it would had been nice to have been told we over-ordered for a table of four. Having been our first time there, we ordered based on past experiences of portion sizes. We had enough food leftover for another table of four. The soups are large and easily serve two and the rolls are huge being 4" or more in diameter. We typically expect rolls to be 'bite sized' and that was not the case. First world problem? Absolutely. A dent in the experience? Absolutely. I hate to waste food and that's exactly what happened. I would have rather had two rolls in smaller sizes than a single roll as large as it was...my understanding of rolls are that they're to be 'Bite Size' so you can enjoy all the flavors and not have to cut the portion in half to consume or risk looking like a sloth! Lol. I may return. As I said, the sushi was great...and now we know how to order there. =)

But the chefs are amazing, the staff is beyond friendly and they've gone out of their way for me on a couple different occasions to make my order and wait for me to pick it up after their business hours. 5 stars all the way. would give more if I could!

I like to believe I'm a sushi conneseouir. I do eat it often. I've been to many different restaurants in various states. This is definitely one of the best restaurants. The food was fabulous, the ambiance was wonderful. The waitress again, fabulous. We tried 5 different rolls and they were all delicious. I highly recommend the Crazy Monkey. You won't go wrong with any choice here though. Including the restaurant itself.

Visiting from out of town, ordered edamame and was recommended the Snow Blossom sushi roll from our server. The dinner tasted great and service was good, however I woke up at 2am with terrible diarrhea. Disheartening to learn about fish mislabeling in the industry and that while most restaurants in the US tell you they serve white tuna, it's really not. White tuna is typically either albacore or escolar. The description of the snow blossom is "spicy tuna, crab stick, garlic albacore, jalapenos and seared white tuna with sweet peppers, eel and chili lime." Curious to know what type of fish was used for the "white tuna."

Great place for dining out in Little Rock. The seared Ahi Bowl is a great selection. One of the best Whiskey Sours you can get in AR. Was there last Wednesday the day before thanksgiving with two of my buddies for ones birthday. Place was full and seemed as everyone was very satisfied. Pretty neat to see people ordering so much high quality sushi.

We ordered sashimi, ceviche and robata. They were all fantastic with the standout being the yellowtail, both the collar and the nigiri were the best we have had in years. The service was also top notch. Chef Alaquinez is doing good things. It was by far our best trip here.

First time my husband and I went, the food was outstanding. Our second time, the food could not have been less appealing. Ssamjang sauce had no ssamjang in it, eggplant appetizer was burnt and lacked presentation, husband's salad looked like a pile of recently unearthed grass and twigs and was even less palatable, miso soup is not meant to be filtered, much less triple filtered... The good, the Sriracha on my Razorback may not have been standard issue and my husband liked the ponzu BBQ ribs which came with a side of vinegar-soaked vegetables that did not compliment the ribs in any way.

My son wanted to celebrate his 19th birthday here and I would like to say that I pride myself on being very versed when it comes to being comfortable in very fancy or posh food situations,but this was the first time I felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant and the server when we asked her questions she basically was no help in suggestions or anything and was very dismissive to our needs. We did end up ordering and it was really good but I will say that we could have gotten food that was just as good that cost alot less somewhere else.

Overall, great place to eat. Environment is quiet and in nice setting; great for romantic date. Main entrees good, well presented, yet were not quite five stars. Duck entree was sent back as part of it had cold spots. Filet had very good taste, yet particular cut of meat was chewy for a filet; don't get me wrong--still great steak overall, just could be improved upon. Sushi was very good and homemade desserts were outstanding. Service is top notch, and we were looked after very well. I would give them benefit of doubt as we visited on Valentine's night. We will definitely give this restaurant another try; as I said--overall, a good dinner and great stop.

Lovely atmosphere, very good service, everything very much enjoyable, though the Miami rolls were unusual, not our favorite. The rest was great. Only criticism perhaps is that too much was piled up on top of the rolls rather than inside them, which makes it extremely challenging to eat them without making a mess... Also the rolls were really large in size, so much so that it was hard to eat them as a single bite as one would normally do, especially with chopsticks. Would recommend making more smaller ones and reducing the amount of the “external” parts - roll more of it? Other than that, definitely very good taste and great presentation!

I was told to go back out the building go around the side thru a gate because the kitchen was right there. When I got in there the same man was standing right there and the order was on the counter. He could have just gave it to me. Will never go here again.

So we saw this place on the news and thought we'd give it a try...... first I want to say that we drove about an hour to get there. We arrived on time for our reservations 7:15 and we're seated immediately. We were first led to a table for a party that we didn't belong to, then we're seated at what appeared to be the same type of seating that you would find at a fast food restaurant the tables were not more then 14 or 15 inch apart with a shared bench on one side and chairs on the other. I would think that this seating would be for someone without reservations I asked the manager if he could find us a different place to sit he said that it was the day after Valentine's and they were booked. I understood and we went ahead and reluctantly sat at the fast food seating area due to the fact that we thought that we wouldn't have any luck going somewhere else last minute.(not in any way, private, cozy or romantic) manager said that he would do his best to make it right, and WAS doing his best to accommodate us. (Thanks) So we sat there and waited for someone to take our order, we waited for about 10 minutes before our waitress brought water and another 10 or so for our order to be taken. About 15 minutes after we ordered the people to the left and right of us finished there meal and new customers were seated, one couple decided that they didn't like the seating arrangements and they left and another couple were seated. They both placed their orders and within 30 minutes or so they had their food, while we were still waiting. We waited for about an hour more and during that time my wife had to go to the bathroom, she saw one person in the kitchen on their cell phone, we then decided to go somewhere else. (Thank goodness for Cajuns at 9:30 at night) I want to say the people at Kamuri were nice and had good attitudes. Just be prepared for horrible seating and to be forgotten in the kitchen. In other words don't depend on Kamuri to come through for your Valentine's dinner date with your wife. Sorry i can't do a review on the food.

Today we enjoyed the best restaurant experience we have ever had. We stumbled into this amazing Oasis without knowing anything about the food, atmosphere, or service. We were fortunate enough to have a life changing brunch. Our waitress was top notch. She knew the menu perfectly and made recommendations based on things she heard us say, not what she was trying to sell. We sat at the bar and our sushi chef overheard us say we were there for the first time and a few minutes later presented us with an amazing complimentary sushi appetizer. The atmosphere was beautiful, the $4 Bloody Mary bar was spectacular and Jerrick (our sushi chef) prepared the best sushi either of us had ever eaten. Kelly and I will be back and will recommend to everyone we know. A truly epic experience.

Thought this place was decent. First, I have to say the hostess Paula was great. Server was ok but we had solid conversation. I thought it was odd I showed up at a sushi spot and all of the recommendations were cooked food. Still the ribs and pork belly slider was fine. I think the bread in the slider was too starchy and took too much away from the savoriness. I had ramen also but didn't take a pic. Noodles were way overdone though. And flavor was ok.

This is a swanky little joint where you get to enjoy your sushi while watching catfish in huge fish tanks. You can sip your drink, a very good drink, while enjoying a cozy vibe. Color scheme is rustic and warm with just the right amount of light in just the right places so that everything sparkles, but nothing glares. You could dine here with your Prom date, or you could just drop in for a roll on lunch. They welcome all comers with friendly, knowledgeable staff and a decent table turnover. I enjoyed the Chillean Sea Bass, my wife had the Mizo Glazed Black Cod. Both were attractively plated, and delicious. We also tried the sushi, A Red Dragon roll and A Crazy Monkey roll. A bit of pyrotechnics highlighted the Crazy Monkey! Very positive experience!

I honestly don't know how the food taste, but it looks great. My issue is with the kitchen and wait staff at the Hillcrest location on Kavanaugh. I'm a delivery driver, and the two times I picked up customer orders there I was completely ignored for approximately 5 minutes. When asked if my orders were ready, I was met with attitudes and totally disrespected by the woman who expedites the orders. I notified my managers, who in turn notified the restaurant.

Amazing sushi! A lil pricey but definitely worth it. Sadly being from Texas I don't know where I will be back, but I am glad that this is where I decided to stop and eat.

Went here for dinner while in town. It is a large space and tastefully decorated. We shared a few Roberta or grilled small plates first since that seemed unique. The plates were incredibly small for the price and good but not that memorable. However, the sushi was wonderful. We had white tuna, maguro, salmon and eel nigiri. All were incredibly tender and delicious. Our server was new and seemed nervous and tentative. I cannot believe that a restaurant of this caliber would not train their staff better. Our waiter did not know how to remove a cork from a wine bottle.

Has to be the best sushi I have ever had! Sushi was amazing! The presentation of all the food was gorgeous. We sat at the bar and the bartender worked extremely hard the entire time. I recommend making a reservation.

I absolutely love Kemuri. The food is fabulous and the staff is always knowledgeable. Sushi surpasses pretty much any place I have been. This is my go to place for special dinners or a "treat yo self" day.

The sushi and service were fantastic. The sushi chef overheard me tell my server that I enjoyed spicy food. He then made me a single bite (without me asking) and served it to me. It was delicious and had the spiciness I craved! Each server, as well as the manager greeted me warmly. The sushi was very fresh and well executed. Great attention to detail. I travel to Little Rock often for business and look forward to coming back to Kemuri. Thank you for a great meal!

Delicious sushi as well at various other dishes like drunken noodles! The squid salad is tender and flavorful and the edemame well seasoned. The wait staff is on point and very knowledgeable about the fare. There's a cappuccino jam jar creme brulee that's so worth it! Definitely save room.

So my mother bragged about this great sushi place so I was in Little Rock and decided why not! Parking is hard to find in the area so if you find a spot close you better snag it fast. The restaurant was very nice on the inside. I was promptly seated at the sushi bar since it was just me. I was told my server would be by shortly. 10 mins go by and still no server. It was like she didn't want to take my order. So finally the host comes back over with my water and takes my order! Glad someone felt like helping I was a little hungry. So I ordered the Crazy Spider roll and the Red Dragon roll. The sushi was handed to me in a descent time frame and I was ready to dig in. I ran out of water and was hoping my server would come by ( so I could meet her!) and refill my water. Well that didn't happen. So both rolls were delicious. The spicy tuna in the crazy spider roll was great and I really liked the crunchiness is the soft shell grab that was lightly fried. The red dragon roll was equally as good although I wish it would have had the spicy sauce with it that the menu mentioned. The sweet sauce was good but i wanted that additional flavor pop from the spicy sauce. Never got that refill on water! I was a little parched after eating spicy food! In fact after my food was handed to me I never had another person stop by and see how i was doing. I had to flag another person down just to get my bill so I could pay it. Over all the food was top notch but the service was seriously lacking.

Fantastic service and food. Came for lunch, ordered the dragon eggs (as per our server's recommendation) a poke bowl, and a great bottle of chilled sake. Our server told us about Kemuri's weekend brunch specials, which undoubtedly made me hungry again

Twice as expensive as Kamakaito. But makes you feel twice as fancy. Therefore twice as happy, mathematically speaking. Get any two rolls each, the miso soup, the bear-sized salmon cutlets appetizer. The prices are an absolute joke. They have nothing to do with the quality of food but instead, the area the restaurant is located. This is what happens when you put a restaurant in an area where people have more money than common sense.

First time customer. The sushi (Louisiana) was dynamite, and the half toasted duck was amazing! We also had the Tempura sushi which was delicious, as well. Definitely the best sushi in Little Rock!!! Several people came to our table to see if we needed anything, to make sure we were taken care of, and offered menu suggestions. I highly recommend Kemuri!

let's start with the good, the staff was nice, but became overwhelmed very quickly, only saw my waiter 3 times, to take the order bring the food and once to check on us. I had to call them over three times to get my check after waiting 20 minutes for them to check on us again. the appetizer was way over salted, the noodles in my ramen came to me completely raw! the miso soup had too much rice vinegar, completely inedible, the hollandaise sauce on my wifes eggs benedict was so bland, it tasted like mayonnaise. most expensive garbage I've ever been served! Will not be back.

I absolutely fell in love with this hip yet relaxed spot in Little Rock. The knowledge our server, Rachael, brought with her level of expertise was unmatched. She knew the ins and outs of how the sauces were made and classic rolls we were use to with their unique twist. Hands down the best sushi I've ever had in the 32 states I have visited. If you are driving through on I-40, do yourself a favor and swing in for a quick bite!! (DO NOT miss out on there ribs!)

I really enjoyed my visit to Kemuri. The good was fresh and perfect. I love spice so the spicy edamame was lovely! I believe I also has a spicy chef roll that was out of this world. I shared it with my friend which was nice because it comes loaded. If you have a big appetite by all means this could fill that's space. The Dragon's breath Martin (I think that's what it was called) is at the top of my list in terms of drinks...I could drink a jug of it. The flavours are perfect and so refreshing. Last but not least the calendar calamari was nice lovely chunks of squid that weren't just full of breading. So if that doesn't make you want to try Kemuri then you are missing out.
