My husband and I took our 4 kids here after church today. The staff is absolutely amazing! They are all kind and polite. We had the buffet and it was great! I have a shellfish allergy but they cook all there seafood separate so I was able to eat too! It was great!

Awesome All you can Eat Seafood Buffet on Saturday Night at a decent price. They also had for an extra $5.00 All you can eat: Frog Legs, Peel & Eat Shrimp & Bacon Covered Scallops. I chose not to get the extra because the buffet was plenty. Tons of choices with shrimp dishes, gumbo, veggies, chicken, clam strips, fish as well as a large salad bar. Only thing I thought was pricey were the Drinks. I think 2.79 is too much for 1 soda or tea when the buffet is $12.00. Next time, I'll order water & save that cost but I will definitely go back. I saw that they have Prime Rib on Friday nights, so I'll have to try that as well.

Have been going here for YEARS. Good food, staff get to know all their patrons and take time to visit a little when they have time. Staff is happy and helpful. You never hear them complain about anything. They have a great breakfast and lunch and dinner buffet. One of our favorite go to places for dine in. Very popular meeting place for locals And travelers.

My expectations were not high when going to this place, because we were in the area. But the buffet was really good. It doesn't have the selection like Golden Corral, but everything they have is good. And you can't beat the price. So that is certainly our go-to spot when in that area.

Food was FANTASTIC. Greens and green beans were a little underseasoned, but that was literally my only complaint. The food on the buffet was fresh and well-cooked. Staff was pleasant and attentive. The gumbo and bread pudding were my favorites, but the ribs were also A+.

The food is very good The Waitresses are very friendly and the price is reasonable. They have good desserts a good Food bar. And they are always open from 5:30 a.m. till 9 p.m. veterans get Discount Drinks and discount food. All you can drink for one price.

We went during their lunch buffet. Waitress was very good. Atmosphere was very good! My wife and I both ate off their buffet and it was better than expected for sure! The buffet had a variety of different foods and everything that I ate was pretty good! I had Fish, Shrimp, Roast Beef, Gumbo, and a variety of sides to go with it! It was our first trip there to eat but it definitely won't be our last. It was the first of many trips! Our Pastor has highly recommended their breakfast buffet as well! I look forward to trying it soon!!

You have to go to D's Restaurant in Alma. The food is great! Even the salad was good. (Buffet) The only negative comment I can say is the fried chicken breast was dry. The price for the buffet was reasonable. Worth the time and money.

Good job D’s! They definitely have the absolute best burger in Alma!!! They put Butcher Boys (Alma location) under the table!! They also have awesome fried catfish!

I am extremely disappointed in the service here at the Van Buren on Alma highway location. My wife and I came here for our first time to eat here this past Friday the 9th. I have wanted to eat here forever! I had a small salad to start and my wife made her a small plate to start. I finish my salad and as she gets half way through her plate she finds a hair under her hush puppies. A Black curly hair that you could tell did not belong to either of us. I got the waitress to come over to our table and pointed to the hair which she immediately takes the plate to the back and says she will let them know. When she comes back she apologized and asked if there was anything else they could get us. We politely said no thank you and she said she would be back with our ticket. She set our ticket down and we were charged full price for a buffet and I didn't even get to eat the main course. I got our waitress to come back to the table and asked her if they were going to discount our meal or anything? Now mind you I am a manager. She tells me the manager told her that she said that because it WAS NOT COOKED IN THE FOOD THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT IT. Apolled by that answer she sent the manager over. She came over leaned against the bar and says are you the 2 that wanted to speak to me. I explained we have only had a small salad and a half a plate of food, then she found a hair in her food, because you think it was not cooked in the food there is nothing you can do about it, and are going to charge us full buffet price? Her exact words were Weeeeelllllll. She never appologized or anything!!! We paid full price and we're extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service and sympathy after knowing 2 first time guest's lost our appetite after finding hair in our food. We will not be back and it's really disappointing because the food was good we wish we could have had a full meal. Customer service is important to some of us. It can really make or break a decision for us. The Waitress was great tho. We will not be back tho!

We just moved to town and have ate here almost every morning. The service is good and the food is great. We have had something different each time and everything has been great also the prices are very reasonable. They do have a buffet as well but we do not eat enough to justify getting the buffet but the food on it looks really good. For a good home cooked style meal I would really recommend eating here.

While the wait staff is super duper nice, the food is just meh. It’s a hot and cold buffet (even though I think they have menu as well) that was so-so. Heavy on the fried foods. The food selection was like if you went to a decent southern family potluck, but nothing so spectacular that I’d recommend. They did have a Dorito casserole that was unique - my husband loved it. Their pies looked divine, and they have a great scoop icecream selection (8 flavors maybe?). Considering there isn’t a whole lot going in this town, maybe it’s as popular as it is because the choices are limited. Again, wait staff was great.

The Cajun rice was cooked with tomato sauce and handburger meat the combo had corn and prees in it and to tasted like a stew .the fish was great the veg were great .he does not know how to cook Cajun food went from Fayetteville to eat should. i give it two because we are not picky people just average people so we decided to get some food and it had buffet and i should have knew something wasn't right the place was empty in the middle of week , We set down she ordered the buffet . some of the food on it was cold and other food been their all day and they was nothing on it to many people would like .It very very small buffet with nothing .She got some fish it was cold , The buffet is horrible , so i ordered the breakfast ,eggs was over cooked and scorched my toist was was dripping dripping butter , my gravy if it was gravy not positive on that , you could pick it up with spoon , so i had to go bathroom , the cook was on toilet i left washed my hands and he came out past the sink up and went outside to smoke and never washed once , it horrible , the buffet , horrible, food horrible ,i would pass this place up and save some money and go down the road to golden corral

Absolutely phenomenal! Massive half pound Burgers! Delicious! best burger I've had all year! Vegan friendly with an expansive salad and fruit bar. Gravy is delicious, fries are hot tye onion rings were perfect. Buffet option as well as a menu. Fresh cakes and pies were available. Large Portion sizes Awesome awesome food!! Would recommend everyone Go to D's and order off the menu you'll have a grand ol' time!!

My family went here on labor day for lunch for the first time. The theme is like an old country restaurant the food is like the older style sonthern cooking. I enjoyed the food they offer breakfast all day which is a plus. They also have a menu option or a buffet option which makes it really nice. If you are going to go eat at D's I suggest going to the Alma one over the Van Buren one because of the buffet. The offer a salad bar and food bar and a soup bar which is amazing. They also have cakes, cookies, ice cream, and cobblers but my favorite was bread pudding with ice cream on top.

Went for prime rib night. Very good price for a very decent piece of meat. Also had some items off the buffet. Some are excellent like the fried chicken. Some not so much. But overall great experience at a great price. You will leave full and not broke.

Absolutely awful! Ordered off of Waitr to have it delivered. I ordered steak, hash browns, and eggs. The steak was burnt and I couldn’t even force myself to eat it. My eggs weren’t cooked all the way and had the egg white dripping off. Ordered extra bacon on my kids orders that were burnt horribly. My wife ordered chicken fried chicken and said it was awful. Not ordering again.

My family was out of the state for a week. Our first meal inside our home state was at D's Family Restaurant today. The buffet couldn't have gotten more southern. Salad bar had a verity of vegetables to choose from. The price for a family of five was under $40. That includes a couple of appetizers and drinks. Every table and surface was clean. Smiling professional staff. Bathrooms were clean. The restaurant smelled of fresh home cooking. All stuff I look at when I go to a restaurant.

Luck of the draw. Googled for a place to eat in Alma on our way through and stopped in. I was very impressed. The waitresses were super friendly and the food bar was fresh and good! I'm already planning a trip back just to eat. The salad wasn't wilted it was crisp fresh and clean. The fried fish, shrimp and ribs were amazing! I didn't even need to use any ketchup or sauces for the meat. Very very good! The vegetable trays were really good too. Definitely worth you stop!
