The food was very good. Portion sizes are outstanding. However, one server on a Sunday to handle the lunch crowd is not going to get it. She forgot the soup and crab ragoon and getting a refill took forever. Another thing I observed was the place is not clean. If you look up at the light fixtures, there is a lot of dust as if it hasn't been cleaned in awhile. So, if you own this place or you are the Manager, get one more server for the Sunday lunch crowd and clean the place up... physically.

We decided to try this newly opened local branch at lunch time. It looks good inside, but within 5 minutes of sitting the server hit his head on a hanging lamp and it broke into pieces, fell over my hands. Thankfully, his head was fine and the sharp pieces did not plunge into my arm or neck. The server was apologetic. Apparently, the restaurant designer did not think it through while adding the hanging lamps just above the table's edge. This was an accident, but the service was very slow and they did not show a sense of good service. I guess they were too busy. But they were excellent in bringing the full amount of bill immediately.

This must have been a fluke because I came at "lunch" ordered the beef broccoli (asked if there was a beef vegetable because there is a shrimp with vegetables ) was told it would be an extra 4$ for vegetables....Then I tried to order the sushi lunch and the sushi chef was "out to lunch and wouldn't be back until 4" (lunch ended at 3 and I got there at 2) ............The small irritations aside I ordered the beef broccoli as it comes and it came out with broccoli and carrots and the base sauce has ginger in it (which is weird idk what I expecting......actually I was expecting Chinese food and sushi)

Wife went for lunch, and got her leftovers (lo mein and kung pow chicken), which were fantastic. And even more surprising considering portion size and money were such a great value. So had to check out for dinner the next day, especially after seeing the poor reviews. Ordered fried calamari, sesame beef, fried rice and miso soup. All were great and place was tidy (wife said it was a bit dirty during lunch). On way out, saw waiter sweeping floor (guessing owner saw reviews on cleanliness). Good food and decent value, best value for lunch for sure

Not sure what happened to this place. It used to be so great. My server ordered the wrong food and when I said something he was very nice but seemed very confused and asked me if I still want to change my order. I then decided to wait for my original order and told them I need to make a To-go order to be ready by 5 pm. I left and at 4:30 I called to make the To-go order and I was told the cook wouldn't be there till 5:15. I'm completely done with Chi's. They need to get it together

Amazing customer service! Sam, one of the managers, is truly kind and helpful. I had a charge on my account that I thought wasn't authorized and he worked really hard to figure out what happened. Afterwards, he offered a refund or gift card for the disputed amount, even though technically I think the money wasn't even owed to me (we couldn't prove it). He was very pleasant and respectful during the entire process.

Customer service horrible!! I called because I asked for my food to be extra spicy. Well it wasn't and the rice was hard. I didn't call back upset or irate at all. I just voiced my concern and tried to find out the issue because I ordered close to closing maybe they might have been pressed to make it my way. Instead of either saying I'll replace it or I won't replace it he chose to argue because I had an issue and I had several people verify behind what I asked for and agreed. I'm not from here so if this is what happens here won't recommend to anyone. I even explained it wasn't that it was bad it just was very the opposite of what I asked for. Very tacky as far as customer service.

Customer service is terrible. Food is hit or miss depending on the day. Today my friend and I both ordered $20 worth of food each. When we got there (20 minutes after ordering), they told my friend they didn't have what she ordered so she had to pick something else out. We waited an additional 20 minutes for them to make it. Finally, after they got her order done, I asked for some spicy mayo on the way out and they put some in a tiny to go cup and told me it would be 50 cents. I only had my debit card so I told them nevermind as I didn't want to go to the trouble to swipe my card for 50 cents. Considering I ordered $20 worth of food AND the inconvenience of waiting around an extra 20-30 minutes because they were "out of" something, you would think they could have thrown in a small to go cup of spicy mayo. That will be my last trip there and I will let everyone else I know about the experience. I work very close to this location and I was a frequent customer. Their loss.

My husband and I went on our first date 10 years ago to the Chi' s location at Shackleford and Markham and celebrated every anniversiary there once we were married. We were disappointed to learn that location was closed and a rhematology clinic took its place. We were thrilled to discover the location down by Rebsamen and eagerly anticipated our anniversiary dinner, our 9th. Disappointing, doesn't even begin to describe our dinner. The Calamarie was delicious, but there wasn't as big of a serving as previous location. The Cajun rice my husband has loved for 10 years was not on the menu here. The rice with the meals was served in a small side bowl, unlike the generous serving in a big serving bowl at the previous location. Regretfully, our annual Chi's anniversiary dinner has come to an end and we will have to find a new restaurant to celebrate and carry on our tradition.

I ordered 2 Hunan chicken lunch specials to go, one spicy and one regular. The regular was covered in hot oil and pepper flakes, as much or more than the one ordered spicy. I ate a few bites but the pepper flavor drowned out everything else and the more I moved it around, the more pepper pieces I saw. It also seemed like the chicken was overcooked since it was dry despite all the sauce. I gave up and went for the egg drop soup I ordered, but discovered I had egg drop jello instead. Yuck. My office for the past 10ish years is nearby so we were at Chi's for carryout or dine in about once a week until a few years ago. I quit eating sushi from here after they started rotating through sushi chef's but we kept going for the standard American Chinese food. Chi's Asian Cafe has been going steadily downhill for the last couple of years but every few months we would give them another try in hopes they were getting better - they were so close to the office and we had enjoyed so many good meals with them. We quit dining in much but food was usually good enough to not turn us away from them. Today was the end of that. I placed the order at 11:25 AM and picked it up 15 minutes later as instructed, I don't know how no one noticed the egg drop soup had congealed like it was old and cold. I don't know how they expected anyone to eat the food they served, mine went in the trash. The restaurant seems to have had a hard time finding and keeping good servers and front house employees but we have tried to overlook that. I can only overlook so much - we are done Chi's.

This is a favorite spot for my wife and I. The food is fresh from the wok. The egg rolls are always the best I've ever had. The calamari is amazing. The service is very friendly. This Chi's is not close to where we live, but we've often made the drive because it is worth it. The atmosphere is relaxing. The prices are about what you would expect.

Beautiful interior, great music and outstanding meals!! Quaint location with a perfect patio setting out front. Service was fast and friendly!! I particularly appreciate a server who refills my drink promptly!! We started with appetizers: chicken steamed dumplings and edamame. For our dishes, we had sesame chicken and Beef Lo mein. Food was outstanding and so fresh!! We will be back!!

I posted this review to their Facebook page. "Took 45 minutes to get a steamed dish. One table of 8 before us "backed up the whole kitchen". When we asked for the manager, Sam, he came over asking if I knew anything about cooking and asking what I wanted him to do about it. He had a horrible attitude and only had excuses. At this point other customers were staring at the manager as he was yelling. I told him he could leave and because I don't appreciate people yelling at me. He responded with "Well I don't like dealing with confrontational people and that's exactly what you are." DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE VERBALLY ASSAULTED BY THE MANAGER." This was their professional response: "Such a funny story. Table of 3 including the above poster orders more than a simple steamed dish. Audio recordings and a video are records of the incident. Hardly the story that happened but amusing

Last time I was there they totally forgot to make my prepare my order. Next time, I ordered 3 rolls to go and all 3 were wrong. Tonight ordered complete dinner and they forgot the egg roll. No wonder the menu and all other reviews I could find were in Chinese. Translate "u suck".

After multiple instances of having terrible and inattentive service from wait staff, incorrectly put in or completely forgotten orders, etc, I decided to never return to dine in. Instead, I decided to try to stick to take out only, in hopes of bypassing the terrible service. I recently attempted to place a to go order. The man on the phone answered as if I was an inconvenience, always short and not even pretending to care. At one point I asked if they had a side of sautéed veggies. No answer. I politely asked a second time. No answer. After waiting in silence a bit longer, I tried a third time to which I received a response of “excuse me sir, I’m sorry I was trying to put your order in the computer” in a terse and rude way. Several seconds later I was hung up on. I attempted to call back, no one at the store answered. I called back one more time, now pretty angry at what is happening. A woman answered the phone. I told her I was hung up on and to cancel my order, I explained what happened and she said “sorry about that” and hung up. I will never, ever return to this restaurant and it has honestly undermined any trust I have with the other Chi owned establishments. If this is how they care to treat their guests, I will save my time and money. Do not go here unless you want to be treated like an outcast or have your entire order wrong or forgotten.

It’s taken me a long rime to write this review but I finally just quit trying to support this local business. You never know if they will be open because sometimes the door is locked during open hours. The seating area ALWAYS seems to be dirty and servers are just hanging out. Maybe they will have a sushi chef today or maybe they won’t.....once again, you never know. Flower pots out front are apparently for cigarette butts and weeds. Commom area cleanliness is NOT their strong suit so can you imagine what the kitchen looks like???!!?? Not to even mention the dead mouse in front of the restaurant a few months ago from obvious poisoning. Just think......that little guy was probably running all around their kitchen. Just find a cleaner location!!

Great little place for Sushi and drinks. Small but quick service. Nice variety of dishes on the menu. The shrimp and scallops with veggies was very good. We also had the dumplings as an appetizer with a choice of a soy sauce or sweet and sour. Both were good. They have good drink prices.

On a take out order, service was great. Food, not so much. Dumplings were great. Thai chicken was spicy enough, but zero coconut milk or fish sauce flavors - pretty much onion, pepper, and water chestnuts with overcooked chicken in canned soup with chile peppers. Rice was supermarket long grain bland stuff. Lo Mein was greasy, noodles overcooked, and not much else in there. Under inspired cusine.

My first time to Chi's was uneventful. The decor is nice and the service was good. I tried the pepper steak (hard to mess up) and it was OK if a bit heavy on the ginger (not something I normally associate with this dish). The hot and sour soup was plain and neither spicy nor sour. The egg roll was pretty good.

The food is delicious! The deliver driver is extremely rude and unprofessional. He will ask for a tip and sigh and complain if he doesn't get a tip. He didn't give us a chance to give one before this behavior started and he sure as hell didn't get one after.

Arrived Thursday night 4/12/18 at 8:45 and told they were not busy and decided to close early. Attempted to give them a second chance and arrived Friday 4/13/18 to read a sign on the door that stated no sushi today. All of this reflects poor management/planning and the owner must not have a genuine concern regarding guests. Never again, sorry Chi's will no longer be an option for myself or anyone I know.

Slow! I was very disappointed in this location last week. My friend and I went to this location on our lunch break (which is an hour ) and we were seated and our server took our order and we NEVER got our food. We waited for about 5 minutes and she never brought our soup or anything. So, we left. I will not be back!
