Lived in LR all my life and have eaten here more than several times through the years but today can say I was pretty disappointed. The catfish plate w/ fries was closer to cremated than fried. The catfish fillets were surprisingly small and sub par quality. There was a bonus though it was great service and the beans were really good! Not to say I won't eat here again as I'm certain that I will but sure hope things are back to the normal my next go around. PS..even my co-worker wasn't overly happy about the Smoked Turkey Sandwich and that's a shocker as it's usually a go-to-for-sure menu item. Maybe it was just an off day.....I'll swing through again soon no doubt!

Everything is good, but the smoked turkey salad is out of this world! Wife likes the catfish, kid loves grilled cheese, I usually get either the turkey salad (it's like tuna or chicken salad, but way better) or the BBQ pork plate. You really can't go wrong! Even the ice is great!

Delicious food and friendly service. It was quite busy during lunchtime on a Saturday, but I can see why. There was only 1 server that seemed to strictly be there to deliver orders to the tables, everything else required you to go to the counter to get. We will definitely be coming back.

I always go back for a good turkey sandwich with cheddar cheese and lettuce. Been eating here since the first one started in Lewisville Arkansas when I was 14. I know they've been in business a lot longer than that.

I lived in little rock for 10 yrs and didn't know there was a Burges on kavanaugh Blvd. I live in magnolia now and go 25 mi out of the way to the store in Lewisville when I'm starving for a good brisket sandwich. I'm going to go stop and test out they're store in little rock the next time I come up and see if it's as good as the original store. From all the reviews that every one says about it, it sounds like it is. Burges is my all-time favorite place for good bbq.

I don't live in Little Rock but I visit often. I wanted to eat somewhere new so I decided to give Burge's a try. I decided try the "Burgeletta", which is their take on the muffaletta, for lunch and the filet fish dinner to take home for dinner. I was disappointed with my choices. The Burgeletta was not what I was expecting. It tasted nothing like a muffaletta but I guess it wasn't supposed to. I'm not sure. I feel really cheated with the filet dinner. I ordered a four piece dinner and it looked like it was two filets cut in half and called a four piece. So so very disappointed. But I have to say the cherry limeade was very refreshing. Not very sweet but not tart. It was just right. I also have to say the wait staff was very friendly and sweet and the seating area was spacious.

Good sized menu and they were very nice. Wouldn't call this BBQ joint. Most BBQ meat is only take home. The BBQ plate we got was a bit dry and their hamburger was just okay. But we're from Texas and know good BBQ and burgers so maybe our hopes were to high.

Burge's has been around for a long time, and there's a reason for that. The quality and consistency of their smoked turkey, ham and other products are superb. Try the smoked turkey salad; there's nothing else like it. The fried fish is divine.

I got a sliced pork sandwich. It was first time in there so I always start with the Barbecue. If you can't get that right the rest might not be as good. I'll start with the good. The service was excellent. Very nice people. The Cole slaw was enjoyable and tasty. Not to wet and not to dry. Good seasoning. Now the not so good. My bun was so soggy it was deteriorating in my hands the meat itself was plentiful for the regular size but the sauce taste like Manwich from the store in a can. My fries were all bottom of the bag crumbs and we're cold. tasted like they've been under a heat lamp all day very dry and withered. I might try again in the future and justvatay away from bread and fries. And the Barbecue

It could have the best turkey salad spread ever. You can buy small to large versions, take it home and dive in. The restaurant in Little Rock(original location still running in Lewisville) is spartan, lots of light and tables usually packed at lunchtime. Their signature turkey sandwich is great.

Great place to go to for state fair style foot long corn dogs. Mind you they serve an assortment of smoked foods & salads, but that's what initially caught my eye. The staff was friendly, but I felt uncomfortable with the states from the patrons...kind of made me feel like blacks didn't visit their establishment too often. That being said, I would come back to try other foods...especially the fried pies.

I don't know how I've lived in Little Rock for this long and never found this place before. I've walked and driven by it dozens of times and never even seen it, but my Dad and I went there for lunch today, and Burge's is amazing. Everything we tried there we loved. If you tell them it's your first time there, they'll give you a sample of their smoked turkey salad. So good!

This local spot in the Heights is a Little Rock tradition. Great for a casual lunch, take out, or a quick bite. The light catch (fried catfish) and the grilled turkey sandwich are my go-tos. Don't leave here without a tub of smoked turkey spread... amazing. You can also order smoked turkeys, etc for holidays and special events.

I had a horrible experience there . Total disappointment and I watched the manager disrespect the staff until I was embarrassed for him. I voiced my concerns and owner or manager could not have cared any less. I will never go there again.
