My wife and I stopped in on the way to Cotter to do some fly fishing. We'd thought it would be a good idea to have some lunch first and thought we'd give Blacksheep Joe's a try. It's a cozy little place but there's plenty of outside seating if the place is packed. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was one of the best I'd had in quite some time. If you're driving across North Arkansas and are in the mood for some good BBQ, Blacksheep Joe's is worth a try.

Vacationing on the river and stopped in here for supper. Our party of three all enjoyed our meals. The brisket was super tender and flavorful, the toast was awesome, and the potato salad was delicious. My granddaughter's smoked chicken sandwich was piled high with great looking chicken. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would eat here again.

Got hungry after a float trip on the Buffalo. Outstanding food here -- so glad we stopped. In our party, we had the ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. All exceptional. For sides, highly recommend the baked beans and smoked mac n cheese. Owners are great people and take a lot of pride in the food. A+

We were on our vacation when we asked at the Shell station for a good Mexican restaurant to eat at in Yellville. Fellow patron said he had just driven down from Missouri, along with a friend, to eat at the best bar-b-q place he had ever eaten at. He wasn't kidding! Ribs are the best! (Tied first place with ribs I had in Glen Rose, TX, at The Roadhouse.) Other family members had pork sandwiches. They were "forced" to eat some of the pork off their sandwiches with a fork to get their sandwiches small enough to bite into. Super sides, also. Planning trips back to Mt View, and absolutely will be back to visit at Blacksheep. Thanks sooo much to the crew there!

I really enjoyed my visit to blacksheep BBQ. I liked the atmosphere and the choice of toppings you can pick out on the sandwich bar, the sweet homemade BBQ sauce is fantastic. I had the Blacksheep double burger and it did not disappoint. Hot and fresh and surprisingly fast service. One of the best BBQ restaurants in Northern Arkansas.

We just went to dinner at Black sheep afternoon being back since they opened to give them a second chance. I will admit the food was better this time so all in all average experience in that form other than a few things that are more personal taste with food than quality issues more than likely. My issue is the fact that I attempted to tip the hostesses/servers who not only brought out the food to our table while I was getting condiments but just about every person that walked around the dining area checked on us at least once making sure we had everything we needed and even offered to remove anything we were done with like typical servers. So I felt like I would leave a tip for them for the service they provided. Apparently they do not get to keep the tips, instead they go to the cook who at this point I have to assume is the owner. I was appalled by this and even called to complain. Which one of the nice hostesses answered who was even nice then saying there was no reason to worry and even tried to discourage me from giving a bad review. And she was one of the ones who they money should have went to. As far as I'm concerned that money was stolen from the ones who deserved it. If the cook is the owner then they make money off of profits, if the cook is not the owner and needs tips then the owners need to pay them better, but when someone leaves a tip, 99% of the time, they are leaving it for the person who provided the service not that cooked the food. The food is only average BBQ and higher priced than average as well. There is no reason to pay the cook even more to do their job . Again food isn't bad but it's not worth paying even more than the establishment already charges Will not be back.

Just payed for the WORST "burger" of my life! What kind of place actually makes someone pay for this. Rock hard, no juice in no way shape or form is this acceptable. Never eating there again! My burger was as thick as their folded paper menu! Called to see if I could find a menu online and they argued there was one on facebook after I explained I had already looked at everything on their pages gor over 45 minutes, so they ended up posting a menu after my husband had to drive their and pick up a menu where the lady at the register was rude when he asked if he could get one! Completely dedicated by the whole place now.

Went with family and had a great meal! Regular pulled pork was really big and shredded perfectly. An assortment of sauces on the table allowed a perfect match to the sandwich. Burgers are killer and shouldn't be missed. Hot dog was bigger than normal and deep fried just right and not greasy. They have a cold stand with all types of toppings including garlic and bread and butter pickles which I got. Sides for the sandwiches include an ear of corn, tater tots, coleslaw, fries and more. We really filled up fast. To top it all they have fresh brownies which are awesome. Call before going to make sure they're open. Well worth the trip.
