1st time there are the buffet it was delicious n there was so much of a variety of things 2 eat . The catfish is out of this world good. And I love love liver and onions so 2 find this on the buffet was a huge treat 4 me u just cant find a restaurant that serves liver and onions any more. I ate till I actually hurt. I will definitely b coming back . My mother n law and I are making this our go 2 place 4 lunch on our outings. Great place good service cant wait 2 to back . Will definitely let friends know this is the place 2 go 4 excellent food . A new customer 4 sure.

I really wasn't expecting a lot from this place because we visited around 2:30 in the afternoon. The food was surprisingly fresh with plenty of flavor. But the service surpassed the quality of the food. The waitress was so nice! She kept our drinks filled and smiled the entire time. Super sweet lady.

If you are on a diet you have plenty of options and if you are not you will have plenty of options. Treat yourself and visit the buffet. You will want to come back again and again. Thanks for all the free food. Especially on my silverware, tray and plate. This was all discovered before I went to the buffet. Place was filthy. Other than the chicken which was good everything else was mystery meat. Unlabeled and unrecognizable. Sides were all out of a can or carton and typical of what you can expect in the food doldrums of Arkansas. First and last trip regardless of cheap price for a meal. OBTW our server/waitress was very good. Fast, efficient and accommodating.

This is the old western sizzler on the service road off the military road exit on 67 south. The inside still looks like it did before. The buffet starts with meats and vegetables. Then the dessert bar. Lastly is the salad bar. We both had the buffet and drinks. Total bill was just under $25.00. There was fried chicken, fish, okra, hush puppies. Lots of vegetables, mashed potatoes, two gravies, sweet potatoes, ect... . Beef roast, broiled fish and baked chicken round out the meats. The salad bar is pretty standard, but good. Deserts are not in house made which was disappointing at these prices. Seniors price is "under $8.00" from 2 to 5 pm includes drinks. Ok the food wasn't bad. It wasn't as good as the Jonesboro location. But it beats MD's. Any day for not much more money.

You pay 7.99 for the buffet. It was so so. The place is dirty. The waitress... or bus person? Was unkempt. They were "out of plates" and our waitress did not know. She was supposed to go get some for us as we needed them. The chicken was dry. My lemonade tasted like lemon root beer. They ran out of ice cream, so some had to be made. A guy came out, poured the mixture in, spilled it all over the machine and splattered it on me, then couldn't tell us how long before it was ready. I got a little milky stuff and some orange syrup out of the machine for my trouble. Don't go here. We spent 80.00 for 7 people. It Was. Not. Worth it.

It has been pretty good. I will say I have had one bad experience here but I've ate here about 5 times since it changed hands and it's been decent. I stayed away after a bad food experience but gave it another shot and the food was great. I'm hoping it was just a one off. Fish is excellent. Steak was good too. The building is old but I'm not eating the building.

This place horrible. We will never go back. We tried it because we had seen it on TV and it seemed like a good place. The plates had dirty brown water on them. The staff could barley keep up. And the food was not that great either. My dog could probably make better food. One of the worst experiences at any food place I've ever had. We didnt even finish eating. Just keep driving by and go somewhere else.

Jacksonville Western Sizzlin has the best buffet we've eaten at. The food is seasoned just right, kept hot. It doesn't have as big a variety as some buffets have, but what is there is quality. The salad bar is great as well. The service is above average. We dine there every chance we get.

It was dirty. The staff member that was cleaning the buffet bar area wiped the floor then wipe food into the food containers that held food on the buffet with the same towel. The waitresses were sweaty. I mean they were dripping with sweat. It was warm in the building and there were flies everywhere.the service was bad I had to get up and refill my own drink because my waitress disappeared somewhere and when I asked another waitress to find her or refill my glass she said she had other customers to take care of although she was standing right next to the refill machine. I gave an extra star because the fried chicken was good and one of the waitress really interacted with the kids at the nextra table. She was telling jokes and squirting them with a water gun. They really seemed to like that.

Had dinner one evening and will never return. Although food was ok, some with good flavor some tasted as institutional flavor. What bothered me was cleanliness of facility. Bathrooms not clean. Air and heating vents were filthy as well as doors to restrooms, and floors adjacent to walls. Cashiers take money and then reach and place plates and drinks on your tray. Two tables for salad and fruit are so close to front door i would not get food from them. Sanitary concerns.

Hopefully, this is an isolated review. I usually enjoy Barnhill's, but today they missed the mark. I knew something was amiss when I got through the short line and went looking for a table. I estimate 1/3 of the tables were occupied, and most of the rest were piled in dirty dishes as though folks had been clearing tables to have a place to eat. I found a table one row from the end of the main dining room, left my receipt and silverware, and headed for the line. The food was good, especially a Boston butt roast that was fall apart tender. I made my way to my table, and noticed that nobody had left a card or any sign or who my server was. I heard them at other tables asking if anyone wanted a baked potato, or more water, or any number of the standard server questions. I had no contact with any of them until I went up for a second go 'round. On the way back to my table, I saw a server at my rable. She was setting out a water glass and silverware. Seems she hadn't realized that I'd not left and cleared my table. At least she caught it herself and got that corrected. Aside from the service, the floors were in bad shape. I have a bad knee, and it was all I could do to keep my footing on the greasy, slippery floors. I noticed several other folks having similar difficulties. I left a 2 cent tip. Hopefully, someone will get the message!

Went on to NEW Barnhill's formerly Western Sizzling.Very dissatisfied! I am handicapped & have to use Walker. As I sat down at table Chinese waitress moved my Walker across to corner of room. My husband & I looked at each other & said, how am I suppose to go get my food? Our waitress says I am so sorry! My husband got my Walker and I proceeded to get my food. Same food as Western Sizzling. Was not that great of experience! Hope Chinese waitress does not get ahold of wrong handicap person , they need to train their staff better!

Recently my husband and I went to enjoy an evening out and we ordered to eat there and the cashier was very unfriendly. Acted like it was a problem to wait on anyone. Then there were small children behind the counter handling glasses getting drinks and handling ice etc. Giving it to customers and then trying to run the register while she just stood there. I don't believe young children should be trying to run your restaurant and I definately think you need a new cashier. Food was cold once we got it also. Used to enjoy eating there but won't be back unless I hear things have changed for the better.

We ate here for the first time yesterday. I was looking for a good, fresher than Golden Corral type buffet. The catfish was great, the chicken was excellant , the greens were not mushy at all. Fresh rolls, and most of the food, dessert included seemed homemade, not from a can or box. The place was dated and the floors were dirty but the food was great, and the tables were clean. I only payed $32 + tip for two adults and two kids. I will be coming back.

The buffet is still as good as it has always been and the M-F waitress crew are still the best......with that being said,those great flavored steaks that were there when it was Sizzlin are looooooong gone. My husband and I went on a Saturday night to eat steak. The food was good. We really enjoyed everything. The waitress could have pre-bused our table to remove the clutter. Ate there today (Sunday) and it was miserable. The food was mediocre at best. No tables and extremely hateful (beyond rude) staff. Everything from making fun of the other staff, rolling their eyes, having customers clean their own tables, leaving dropped items in the floor, even as much as telling a customer that 'I CAN'T help you now'. The food was poor quality, the drinks were never refilled, but at least we weren't snapped at by the server. I will never return to this place. If a zero star review could be given, I would leave it. The only good thing I had was the sweet potato and my lunch date.

Paid $13.00 for a bunch of pig slop. Roast beef tasted like the sole of an old shoe. Cubed beef had so much salt cattle could have used it as a salt llick In total I paid $13.00 and only got 13 cents worth of edible food. Even the buzzards flying overhead passed it up.

This place never disappoints, ever, top notch buffet. The items are hot and fresh all the time. Your server/waitperson should offer you a baked potato, baked sweet potato or fries when you have the buffet. Fried fish, baked fish, fried chicken, baked chicken, the best cabbage I've ever had, mac n cheese, yams, salad bar, dessert bar, bread/roll bar. $9.79 per person, a drink with free refills was $2 more.

Chicken strips, mac n cheese, and rolls were great! As were the other meats. Veggies all had the same seasoning therefore tasted the same. The weekend bar prices is several dollars more for the same food that they serve throughout the week. I had a $5 coupon had the buffet(12.99) was still charged 10.71(had water to drink). All that being said...everything was clean and there was enough food to choose from to get full on. The service was great as well!

We enjoy our visits to our local Western Sizzlin Resturant very much. We have been going there for so many years that the staff feels like family. Good food, pleasing decor and friendly service makes the whole experience be like a family reunion. We often see many of our friends and family members dining there as well. It is a real treat having the resturant in our neighborhood and we look forward to making many more visits in the future. I have been eating here since it first opened as a western sizzling restaurant The manager needs to get out of the kitchen and see that the building is falling down. Carpet is torn in many places. The bath rooms are like dungeons, dark, dirty , men and women bathroom s may not be up to handicap standards. The equipment such as cash register, air conditioning has been breaking down . The food is good, service great. Wife agrees.

Enjoyed a wonderful meal here with my daughter and two grandsons, at my grandson's special request. He had been here once before and was telling us all about it. Our steaks were very good and the service was wonderful. I was impressed at the attention given to the food bar, as they were consistently bringing out fresh, hot , delicious food. We also really enjoyed our ice cream treat before we left. Meals are reasonably priced and we will be returning for another great steak dinner soon.

The casher was rude assumed everyone wanted buffet and couldn't even get drinks right... I will not be back and she even charged a baby who just turned a year old. Full kids price. And the foods not that great. Would have ate better at McDonald's

We really liked this place. I had a coupon good for up to 4 free kids buffets. So I paid for myself and my little was free. Drinks are included in the price of the buffet. They had plenty to eat. Lots of choices. A lot of fried foods, but plenty of healthy choices on the salad bar as well. Too many deserts to choose from too! Our server was polite and attentive. I felt like they didn't get ripped very well, so I tipped a bit extra and I think its it's important to remember that they work for tips even if it is a buffet. If you're ever in the mood for good food in a buffet setting check this place out.

We use the banquet room at Western Sizzlin in Jacksonville Ar. for our monthly beagle club meetings. The wait staff is always makin g sure we dont need anything and keeping the tea glasses full. The steaks are cooked right and taste great and they give us all the time we need for our meetings. We will be using them for a long time to come.

This place formerly known as western sizzling WAS great, NOT ANYMORE, chicken very hard and almost dark dark brown not juicy at all, vegetables dry or extremely runny, I hate to say it but I was very disappointed

This place has been a staple for years as a Western Sizzlin. With the exception of the name change, things pretty much the same. They've got steaks, salad bar and food bar with a wide selection of meat/vegetables. The foods pretty good and the wait staff is friendly. The place is pretty popular and hectic on the days we've been there. We would recommend it.

The waitress April, was enough to say not putting any money to pay for bad service She passed gas in my face and that was nothing compared to the messy stacks of dishes she didn't bother with taking care of. She dug in her butt and then reached for our cups to refill. Passing gas and butt crack fingers made my appetite shrink and I paid for a buffet and ate my choice to not go to the Papito restaurant with servers that are actually clean their tables and keep their tables up.

Lord Sweet Jesus where do I start? Save your money! This place is disgusting and nasty. Looks like the only people who eat there are elderly ppl and must be because they lost all 5 senses. You pay $2 extra for a steak that you would think came with the meal, nope. The steak was thin and way over cooked. Let me give you a run down of your buffet options, chicken, fish, nasty mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, corn, salad. There are 2 very small hot bars. I'm not a huge fan of Golden Corral but I would prefer Golden Corral over this place any day. Save your money, go to KFC and get a $5 box.
