I am utterly disturbed and highly dissatisfied in how this location handles bullying and workplace harassment experienced between coworkers. My special needs sister is employed at this location and it has just come to the light, recently, by shift leader Markus that my sister has been the target of workplace harassment that has made her feel uncomfortable in her workplace and created a hostile environment for her to perform her work duties.
For about a month in a half, my young sister has been provoked on numerous occasions by an older women by the name Michelle who makes condescending remarks to her and displays a rude and callous demeanor to towards her. Comments made from the shift leader Markus on 7/9 after another harassing incident were that my sister was being called "slow" by others at the workplace and that the General Manager just did not want to deal with her on his shift. What type of establishment allows such inhumane treatment as this??
When the general manager Eric was made aware of the situation, he stated that he would give the predator a verbal warning and the incident would not happen again. According to eye witnesses at this location, this person continues to provoke my sister.
To the leadership staff that will view this, as you aware activities such as this taking place in the workplace are forbidden and most importantly illegal. This is a violation with the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. My sister feels uncomfortable to come back to work and for this, this will not be tolerated and further recourse will be pursued.
