We are from out of town and read reviews of this restaraunt and others on our drive up here. Stomachs grumbling, we finally made it to check into our cabin at 830 Friday night. The restaraunt closes at 9 so I called them and asked if they could still serve us. (We would arrive at about 845) The lady on the phone said yes and very pleasant. We drove to the restaraunt and walked in and placed our order to go for the BBQ pulled pork sandwich and a BBQ loaded potato, and a slice of Butterfinger pie. The woman at the counter was super polite and we tipped her. She gave us to go menus and told us to come back for breakfast. We said we would. Got the food to the cabin and it was amazing! The next morning, we made our way to the restaraunt again, eager to see what deliciousness awaited us. Unfortunately, we were not greeted, seated, or even waited on. We seated ourselves and waited about 5 minutes til my husband had to walk up to the counter and order, to which the lady replied we were to order at our table. ( she wasn't the same one as the night before) She acted annoyed and came to our table and took our drink order. A few minutes later, another waitress came and asked what we ordered again? Dr. Pepper? No it was sweet tea. She came back again a few minutes later with our drink. Then the first waitress came back to take our orders. 2 egg smoked ham platter, with Hash browns and biscuits and gravy and the reeses waffle. The gravy was burnt. The biscuits cold and stale. We ate our food a lot less enthusiastically than the night before. We ran all the way out of tea and no one came to refill it. My husband, once again had to walk up to the counter and ask for more. He was not pleased. When it was time to pay we asked for a refill of tea to go and the first waitress again acted annoyed. On top of it all we were charged for the country ham instead of smoked ham, which was 2$ more. No tip needed here, apparently they take it without asking? We might eat here again but it will depend on who is working!
