This is a quick place to eat. The brisket was great, as was the baked potato with pulled pork and cheese. The BBQ sauce they put on, however, was extremely sweet, as was the potato salad. If I was eating here again, I'd order my meal without sauce and add my own as needed at the table, where they have a selection of three different ones.

Good service, good food. Allen's was obviously a popular place when I stopped for lunch. It was fairly busy, but the service was friendly and I got my food quickly. The baked beans were very good. The BBQ is sweeter than I prefer, but has decent flavor. Totally a personal thing. My only real complaint is that the parking could use improvement.

Went against the girl taking orders suggestion and ordered the chicken bbq salad. Do NOT get the chicken! It was dry, hard and had an acrid taste. Hopefully it was from the wood they smoked it with.

I like the food but I have to eat healthy so that means I am limited on the selection and size of what I can eat anywhere. If your on a heart restricted diet then this is not the place to eat. Go to Caddo Valley to the North side of interstate 30. It will not be bar b q meal though. ALLEN'S have another location that serves a healthy fish platter in Gurdon, Ar. besides the regular bar b q meal. That is TASTY, been there too when killing time traveling the area near home. For people that love bbq stuff, this is the place to give a try out on. Extra large baked potato is the bomb in you mouth. Explosion of flavors.

The food is good but the over-all atmosphere is that of HIGH racial disparity. They don't mind taking your money, but the customer service is barely past mediocre if you are not a straight white male. Pitiful. Every now and then, there is a bible scripture beside the bulletin board out front. That further lets me know that these are some bible thumping intolerant people. Can't be spending my money with them again. That book they make reference too is intolerant of ANYONE who is different and that lets me know that I am really not welcome as i am definitely NOT a so-called Christian. ((spit))

I ordered the pork bbg nachos and the nachos were stale. They happily replaced my meal once I told them they were stale. Nice atmosphere, great tasting beans and delicious pork. Sauce is tangy but good for my taste. Reason for three star is because of the stale nachos on my first plate but they did replace the whole meal. Pies no good might as well run over next door to Wendy’s and get your frosty on.

This local flavor restaurant gives you that southern taste and hospitality you're looking for! The staff is quite friendly and any item you choose is going to be mouthwatering! There's a surrounding deck that really gives you that country feeling and when you go inside for a seat, it's like you're visiting a friend's cozy house. The young man that served our food and was cleaning up a bit was quite friendly and talkative with us. The meats are slowly smoked for long hours and the bbq sauce is a sweet and tangy compliment. The Ultimate Baked Potato has all the good stuff layered onto one giant potato - they've definitely outdone the original location in Gurdon, AR. I heard this restaurant is owned by a family member to the original location and I'd have to say they're head and shoulders above. Truly, I can't say enough about this great little restaurant! Thanks for having us several times and making us almost homesick for a place we don't even live! Our only regret is the restaurant being closed on Sundays. Visited September - December 2015

It's not the best BBQ I've ever eaten, but it's some good stuff! It's filling and the 5 of us all enjoyed it. I would recommend using something other than pork n' beans as a base for your beans (they're too soft an mushy). I loved the jumbo chopped beef sandwich!!

Rude people. Cold food. Ordered BBQ Nachos, the meat was cold, the sauce was cold from fridge and the wasn't melted. I had to ask them to reheat twice before it was finally hot out of the microwave. Plus the worker was very rude and could be loudly heard bad mouthing me back in the kitchen. Not a good destination eatery. We will never stop there again!

Holy Mac and Cheese this place outshines any of the the bbq places my husband and I have ever been too. They have wonderful prices to fit your families budget and many choices of comfort food. We live in Colorado and came to visit Murfreesboro and decided to venture out to find the best bbq. Well it has been found. They have pork, chicken and beef. We got the chicken and it was incredibly delicious. The Mac and Cheese was heavenly. The service was outstanding! Check this place out!

If this place was in Pennsylvania, or Michigan, or Oregon I would say it is fantastic. But it is in Arkadelphia, Arkansas! BBQ must be judged by a higher standard in its heartland and sadly Allen's is good. Just good. The ribs are tasty, but not spectacular. My beans were cold and runny, although my wife loved hers. The slaw was exceptionally nasty I must admit. The atmosphere and lay out of the joint is great. We had one excellent staffperson, one not so much. This place is solid, but I'm not sure it is reaching it's full potential.

I travel all over the country for work and I was absolutely blown away by this BBQ place. The pulled pork sandwich was better than any I have had from national award winning bbq houses. My wife loves bbq nachos. We make it a point to swing through Memphis whenever we are nearby to get her nachos. She says they are just as good here. It was obvious they take pride in their product. I would be remiss to leave out the service. It was perfect. So friendly and helpful. Overall this was a fantastic experience and I can't rate it high enough.

Always very good service, and wonderful food. An experience I would like to share that made me want to review the restaurant is when I went in and ordered the bbq salad, everything came out fresh, quick and very tasty! I was eating when an employee brought me a gift certificate for a free bbq salad. She apologized and said that they wanted to make sure I came back because they didn't have the correct lettuce at that time and had to substitute another type of lettuce for it that time. Even Mr. Allen came out himself to apologize and make sure everything was ok. It was great! I didn't know the difference but was very impressed by their great customer service!

Food good. First time here. Out of brisket. Have to stand outside in drizzle to order. Only one there. Since they were out of what my husband wanted i asked her if she'd meet me in dining room and get his alternate order. (Nobody behind me in line). "No we only take orders at window." I had to go back inside find out what he'd like then go back outside. Hmmmm. Not overly impressed. Doubt id go back unless i was ordering to go.

We stopped to get gas across the road and was debating on where to eat. I am a very finicky eater. I got online and was looking for places to eat in the area. I looked at Allen’s Barbque and I told my husband let’s just try that place. It was weird ordering for dine in at the outside window. Food was phenomenal and staff was fantastic, very friendly. I told them we would be back! We were back again the next week. (Our doctors are in Hot Springs) so we make several trips through there. We will be going back again Wednesday. If you are driving through Arkadelphia and you are hungry, this is definitely the place to stop!

I have stopped here at least three times over the last 4-5 years when travelling back and forth between Nashville and Dallas. The quality seemed real good the first time I stopped. The last time we stopped, not so much. Hard to put a finger on it, but it just didn't seem to be as tasty as before. The lines outside to get to the "window" to place your order didn't seem as long either. Maybe there is more competition in town. Maybe they were focused on a catering gig that day. Whatever the reason, I got the strong impresseion that the locals were not supporting it like they used to.

Had the jumbo pulled pork sandwich on my way to Memphis, TN decent taste but really upset my stomach, not sure why my stomach was so upset in lieu of zero sauce and slaw on it. Staff was nice but experiencing multiple restroom stops after consumed leaves them with a par 2 rating. I will not be stopping by here ever again.

This was our spot to stop between Texas and Tennessee. Stopped by today and the gentleman that took out order was very zombie like. We all ordered the bbq nachos and it was by far the worst we've ever had. The meat was cold, no nacho cheese, bbq sauce overpowering, and the chips were fried in old grease. I've had better bbq nachos at high school basketball games! They really need help! My whole family was highly dissatisfied. We will not be returning.
