Wow, this Show Stopper Shake was over the top! It was so good! I love that they create new masterpieces every month too. And those wings, best I've ever had. Sweet, spicy, and garlicky, the best!! Sitting out on the patio, now that the weather is nicer, was a great atmosphere. The service was great too, got a table right away and the server was very nice and could answer all of our questions.

The service was great and everyone was very friendly! Cool and trendy restaurant. We went just for dessert and got the Showstopper shake. The presentation was great, so we had fun even though we didn't like the flavor of the shake. It was "pumpkin smash" and there is a chocolate pumpkin shell filled with candy on top, that you smash with a little wooden mallet. That was fun! I like pumpkin, but it was pumpkin mixed with chocolate, and all the topping are chocolate, and I'm not a fan of those flavors together. But still a great experience!

The food itself was fantastic! The service... once we flagged down a server (who was not our original server) 37 minutes after arriving, the service was then great! Our original server took my husbands drink and appetizer order while he waited for me to arrive. He was given his drink, the appetizer never arrived. I arrived and the gentleman took my drink order and was never to be seen again. My drink never arrived. We flagged down another gal who gladly took our order and got out drink and appetizer that we latter found out the mystery server never even placed the order in the system. From there on, the service was great! She answered all our questions, made great suggestions, great conversation. The food was fabulous! We will definitely come back and hope to have great service from the start next time. Thank you to the lovely gal who saved the evening.

Came here for breakfast on Thanksgiving. First time here. Lovely place - definitely 1950s vibe. Delightful. The breakfast menu is relatively basic - eggs, hash, waffle, etc. Everything sounds great! I ordered cold brew coffee and the red velvet waffle. I wouldn't order the waffle again. It was good, but the red velvet taste didn't come through much for me. The whipped cream was delicious - loved that part, but not really a part of my healthy diet. Sigh. The hash sounds wonderful! Next time! Service was GREAT! Eddie did a great job. Quick, efficient, professional.

Amazing food, attentive staff, and a focus on happy customers. We went on a week day for an delicious dinner, but one person in our party had an issue with their order. The staff was quick to resolve the issue and fix the problem, and management came by to confirm our issues had been resolved. Awesome service.

There's a food server name Polly that was Amazing!! The day we arrived on the 11th we had lunch and she gave us the warmest greeting. She informed us about the great local hotspots as well as Hotel VH activities! She remembered us 5 days later and made us feel like old friends. Its people like Polly that creates loyalty!

I imagine this is what heaven is like - beautiful mid-century modern design and delicious food. My husband and I came for a lunch date to celebrate our wedding anniversary, so we splurged a bit and ordered dessert after our meal. Oh my goodness! It was amazing!!! I ordered the S'more Macaron and he ordered the Troubled German Chocolate Cake. I am still dreaming about the passion fruit sauce on the macaron dish. I would order just that sauce and feel like it was worth the price of admission. Lunch was great, too. I was especially pleased with the seasoning on their onion rings and fries. Overall, we were very pleased with our order, the hospitality of the staff, and the vibe of the restaurant.

Stopped by ZuZu for a celebratory breakfast of Eggs Benedict and mimosas—both delicious! I’m particularly fond of how they cook the potatoes with ‘fond’. +20 if you know that cooking term. If you love potatoes that are perfectly crisp on the outside and buttery smooth on the inside, I can vouch for these. The service was great: friendly and attentive, but not overly so! It’s inside a lovely hotel with mid century touches. I’ve also dropped in on ZuZu for cocktails and live music, both of which were delightful.

Dinner was wonderful and thumbs up from the kids too! They were great about accommodating for food allergies for our kids and made them a special meal. I had the BLT Chop Salad, so good and I would go back for that alone! My husband had short ribs and he loved them too. They brought out a banana & honey sorbet for the kids for dessert too. Such a fun spot to visit and the hotel is gorgeous as well.

My mom, Lola and I went to Cafe ZuZu for apps and the Showstopper shake for me- wow! It’s so awesome!! Multiple desserts on top of a delicious shake. Tres leches.... mmmmmm. Beautiful scenery and the service was fab. Definitely will be back!

THE WHY: I decided to have my sister’s birthday celebration at ZuZu inside of Hotel Valley Ho on Sunday (07/15) during brunch. I successfully reserved a reservation for 25 people almost a week in advance. They advised me at the point of reservation that they can accommodate the amount of people but the bill can not be split up more than two ways. THE GOOD: The food was good. The service was even better! Thanks to Sharon and the other gentleman, my party’s needs were fully met. Due to my reservation, they were able to come up with a seamless plan to well execute service. THE BAD: Nothing to do with the service at all. I believe it is more of a management rule or systematic limitation. To restrict a large party to only splitting a tab 2 ways, is prehistoric and not guest-friendly. As the host of a large party, my only responsibility is to ensure everyone arrives hungry and willing to spend money. I made sure everyone was aware of the 20% auto grat (I always want to make sure the servers are well compensated for their efforts). This needs to be fixed. JUST THE TIP: the breakfast burrito is out of this world! Mmmmmm!

Tried their desserts and they had some pretty artistic creations. They seasonal special shake was very Instagram worthy, but that was about it. The shake itself had a consistency of whipped cream so it felt like eating flavored whipped cream - not very appetizing. The baked Alaska and lemon meringue pie were good as per my taste.

We enjoy coming here because it always feels like we're going on a little getaway. The place is really cute, the menu choices are unique and delicious, and the staff is really nice and friendly. We love going there for brunch since they also have a Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar! Our favorite menu item is the Cinnamon Roll Donut Bombs — they're a must-try!

Went there for NYE dinner. The oysters had shells in them (bush league shucking) our DDasked to substitute the hampagne pairing for soft drink and they charged an extra $7 for that. Thought that was pretty bold...so I knocked $20 off the tip

There for X-mas day breakfast with the family. From walking in the door to getting seated, we were greeted by a friendly, professional staff. Our server (Polly) was delightful as was the hostess, manager, and busser - all of whom were working this holiday which allowed us to sit, eat, and enjoy. And enjoy we did. Our server gave us solid menu advice and the food was fantastic. My son went the cheeseburger route, while my daughter and I opted for pancakes and the spinach, mushroom and Gruyere omelet with sides of bacon and sausage. The omelet was superb and folded French style - with enough left to enjoy tomorrow morning. A relaxing, tasty experience I highly recommend.

We had such a great brunch here. It's great inside for families or by the pool for kid free groups. There is valet parking and the staff is very friendly. We enjoyed the burgers and steak and eggs for brunch along with coffee, scones and berries. I've had dinner here as well and it's a great date spot. Brunch also offers mimosas and make your own bloody Mary's with a bar to pick ingredients from. Def check it out.

This is such a cute restaurant. It has a 50s theme to it. I actually thought it looked a lot like the Jettisons TV show for those of you who are old enough to have watched it. It is located inside the Valley Ho Hotel. I have to admit, its a bit of a challenge to find it. We found a parking spot on the street, otherwise there is valet parking available.

The “showstopper” shake of the month was DELICIOUS, not to mention beautiful! 2 passersby asked me if it was fake - haha. July was “Peaches + Cream” peach vanilla shake with peach layered cake, carmellia streusel, peach macaron, vanilla meringue kiss, peach linzer cookie + fresh preserved peaches (are you drooling now?). I’m looking forward to August: Vanilla Pecan Pie They have a pet-friendly patio which is great for pet owners like myself & the servers worked like a team to make sure I was taken care of. If you don’t stay at Hotel Valley Ho, at least make a trip to visit ZuZu!

My friend was in town so I took her to lunch at ZuZu and we had a great time. The atmosphere is great-really unique, colorful, and upscale. All of the staff were incredibly friendly. The food was delicious. The Ho-Js (OJ with vanilla ice cream) were especially tasty. We had burrata, honey garlic wings, a BLT salad, and chips with salsa and guac. We were stuffed and happy.

Dinner was amazing! I’ve been here many times for happy hour, but this was my first time for dinner. Making a reservation was a breeze and the staff are sweet and attentive. The food was so good! We couldn’t decide and ended up with most of the small plates. Definitely recommend for a date, work dinner or girls’ night out.

This place belongs in Scottsdale at the valley ho. Its exactly what it appears. Cheap line produced food that costs 5$ 4 miles away across the border to Phoenix. Kinda like the hotel. Outdated and overpriced, made for people who still think Scottsdale is the place to be.

Went for a show stopper because the pictures keep showing up on my social media feed and I have the biggest sweet tooth. Ended up making a reservation on the patio for date night and turned out to be one for the books. Staff was beyond excellent and the food was quick, hot, and filling. If you enjoy a dessert make sure to get the "ShowStopper"... I heard Elvis is coming for April. Picture is the Showstopper I enjoyed during this experience at ZuZu for the first time and what a great way to end the Spring Training season with the SpringTraining themed milkshake. ♡ Highly Reccomend for date night, girls night, or just a solo evening for one.

I would've given it 5 stars for the food but the service wasn't up to standards especially for Scottsdale. I arrived & let the hostess know we'd be sitting in patio area. She said she'd let a waitress know. I sat there for over 10 minutes with my 2 daughter's and nobody came over. Despite the fact that 2 other waitresses passed by to serve 2 other tables. I then went back in and let the hostess know and she brought waters over and just took my order. The waitress finally came over and apologized for not having seen us sitting there and blamed it on the hostess for not letting her know we sat down. Not sure about the lack of communication between staff members and who's at fault but the fact that not one of the other waiters stopped by and asked if someone had helped us is concerning for an upscale place. The food was great & my girls & I enjoyed the showstopper dessert. It's pretty big enough for 2-3 people.

I recently had a wonderful visit at ZuZu located inside Hotel Valley Ho. I had been wanting to try this restaurant for months and finally got the chance to visit. I had tried their burger once before at a food festival called the Burger Battle and was blown away by their burger. You should see the slab of bacon they add to their burger. It is incredible! So juicy- made perfectly! We also tried their pork belly Mac n cheese which was also incredible. We visited on Saturday night and the chef even made us a special bread pudding dessert- compliments of the chef. So nice! It was so delicious! They definitely need to add this to their menu! :)

I’m going back to Zuzu, it was so good! The mushroom agnolotti was delicious and just melted in my mouth, the Prime rib was juicy and perfect, and those Brussels sprouts...man, I’m gonna be thinking about those for awhile. They were spicy, sweet, crispy, tender...literally the best Brussels sprouts I’ve ever had. And of course, you can’t eat at Zuzu without ordering the Showstopper Shake. I have never been so in love or impressed with a restaurant. The service is exceptional, but the food is out of this world! My cousin and I came here during their 50% off dinner special. After everything we experienced, I would absolutely pay full price. The pork belly mac and cheese is a must have! My rib-eye and my cousin’s fillet were delicious. The sides are large enough that they can be shared by two people. We ended with the 24 layer chocolate cake and it was out of this world. Everything was to die for, and I can’t wait to go back!

Came here for brunch today! Had the donut bombs which were amazing! The smoked salmon plate was just as expected, except they add fresh bell peppers to the cream cheese which was a welcome addition! My husband got the eggs Benedict and one of the two eggs was hard boiled which was disappointing, but he said the rest was delicious. Instead of bread, you get a small basket of scones which we ate all of! The only weird thing was that they have a Bloody Mary bar, with meat sticks and all kinds of toppings you can add for $10, my husband just ordered a regular Bloody Mary from the server, and we were charged nearly $13 and it just came with a citrus wedge and two olives.... not sure why that would be more expensive but chose not to ask.

As a last minute decision my best friend and I decided to say at Hotel Valley Ho and we were very pleased with the overall atmosphere and our room was great!! What really put the cherry on top for us was our experience at zuzu. We were checking out and made the decision to have brunch based off of the looks of the patio area (very cute and photo ready!). We were immediately greeted by seth the hostess and he seated us in a very timely manner and gave us a wonderful table on the patio! Even though we knew we would get seated quickly we went to the bar anyway just to get our brunch party started! When we sat down, Ted the bartender greeted us like he had known us forever which made all of us feel so welcome and right at home! We did make an unusual request for a drink and he had no problem making us our drinks and the NAILED IT! Drinks were delicious and service was fantastic. From the bar we made it over to our table where we were greeted by Polly our server who was so sweet and her service was perfect! James (I believe the food runner) was also very friendly and welcoming. I would 11/10 recommended zuzu due to the wonderful food, service, atmosphere, and over all experience. I will be returning next time I’m in Scottsdale! Thank you for everyone who made our experience amazing!

The Seasonal Mule was great! The starters, including the chef special - a pasta with shrimp and crab was amazing. My husband and I got the steaks with mashed potatoes. Both types of steak (ribeye and flat iron) were cooked well and had great flavor. My husband and I went here for lunch on a Sunday. Service was quick and I was so excited that we were treated with complimentary chocolate, cranberry scones! Pleasant surprise. Omg came in to have a little dessert with my sister and we got the show stopper! I heard the flavor changes every month... But this thing had lots of chocolate and was baseball themed for spring training games this March! And there was bazooka bubble gum and double bubble. I used to love that gum. Haven't had it since I was a kid . UPDATE: went back for brunch this weekend and got the homemade cinnamon roll donuts and they were to die for!!

Cute little place to take family or friends. Sat outside and inside on separate occasions. The birds are pretty fierce if you leave the table, but doesn’t ruin the experience especially if you have kids with you. Get the Showstopper shake, it’s worth it! And the dinner appetizers are really great. Overall good food and atmosphere.

Really enjoyed our time tonight at ZuZu! Favorites included the Gin and Tonic drink, so delicious and refreshing! Also loved the Calamari and Chips Salsa and Guacamole! We came here on a quiet Sunday evening with our baby. The staff was very friendly, quick, and accommodating with our little guy. They listened well and remembered details in our order. I always appreciate that in service. The interior is pretty dark and looks great for some late night food and drinks, but we decided to sit outside which was a great, relaxing atmosphere. The only downside is that we could smell someone’s cigarette, possibly coming from one of the hotel rooms. We ordered a few of their small plates which were really fun and super tasty. I definitely recommend the shishito peppers stuffed with lobster. The other dishes, cauliflower bravas, mango chipotle rib stack, and pork belly mac & cheese were also creative and delicious. My only complaint is that the cauliflower and potatoes in the bravas dish were just ever so slightly undercooked. We also got the showstopper shake (Elvis style!) - definitely big enough and rich enough to share with 3+ people. The liquid part of the shake was room temperature unfortunately, but all of the bakes goods on it were indulgent and yummy.

What a great happy hour!! They make a fantastic margarita, the "Trash the Beach House" is super good, and they also have a good beer and wine selection. We tried the hummus (incredible with the crispy chickpeas on top, omg) and the chips with salsa and guacamole, everything is so good. We had such a great time on Friday night that we stayed after happy hour, and enjoyed the live music. This place is gorgeous and classy, but very chill and comfortable.

I went to ZuZu at Hotel Valley Ho for the incredible “Show Stopper” shake and it certainly did not disappoint! When we arrived there was live music playing in the bar area, the fire pits on the patio were on, and the staff was incredibly helpful and polite. The patio had some dogs on it so it’s a great place to relax have some incredible food and soak in the chic aesthetic with your furry best friend. I would absolutely recommend checking it out and I’ll for sure be going again

What an amazing experience! The retro styling of Hotel Valley Ho, and ZuZu, made me feel like I was stepping back in time! The food and drinks were amazing too. I can’t wait to go back. This place is great. Walking into the bar and restaurant felt like it was 1950 Hollywood or an old movie. The place is chic and cool and hip. Every piece of furniture and piece of art was worth stopping to look at and just visually enjoy. The shrimp cocktail was worth every penny. Best shrimp I have ever eaten. The aioli sauce was so good, and a perfect compliment to the giant shrimp. My friend and I enjoyed the "Build your own Mimosa" Bar. That is definitely worth the visit.

Updated my review from below from 4 stars to 5 Came back and chose to sit inside. Again the food was great ordered the red quinoa salad this time and Mac and cheese for my daughter. My friend had the BLT. We both had left overs and left very happy. Plus the inside was clean :) Such a cute place to eat! The vibe is great and the food is delicious. Started healthy with the kale and Brussels sprout salad but then followed with their “show stopper” shake of the month. TO DIE FOR! The only thing negative was the outdoor cousins were slightly dirty. We chose to sit outside and where to sit on the patio, but the cushions had bird poop and think that is something that should be wiped down when cleab the area after each group.

Brunch was great. The mimosa bar in itself is worth it. My friend and I each got our own breakfasts but decided to split the fruity pebbles french toast to try it. Everything was delicious! And the chef’s scones were amazing too! Would go back!

I decided to stop by the Restaurant (ZuZu) for a shake after work. OMG. I said I wanted it to go because I was on my way home but this is definitely not a shake you take “to go”. It’s probably a work of art when they deliver it to your table but because I got it to go mine was deconstructed. I was given a shake and then a to go box full of peach flavored goodies that I assume would’ve topped this shake. It was amazeballs! Flavor of the month was Peaches and cream. The atmosphere at Zuzu was great, the food was delicious, and and I had a good time. However, the service was lacking overall. Several times during our meal, we had to ask for items multiple times. I requested a black napkin from our server and she never brought it. I had to ask another employee for the napkin (because I was wearing black and didn't want white lint ending up on me). Before we recieved our entrees, I noticed all the tables around us had bread baskets, but we didn't. When we requested bread after our food had been served, the food runner said he would be right back with some. However, he never returned. 10 minutes later, our server checked in on us and we asked for bread again. She was able to bring it that time. They served us desert before I was even finished with my meal. That seemed completely inappropriate, and the food runner even asked to take my plate even though I clearly still had my fork in my hand and was eating (granted I ate slowly because I had been talking to my friend during the meal). I would give Zuzu another try but I'm very reluctant due to the odd service we received. It didn't seem to match up to the upscale setting we were in.

Fun retro setting for a girls night or date. You MUST get the Brussels Sprouts. They are spicy, but incredibld. But the real show stopper is the over the top Showstopper shakes. Changed out every month, the shakes are themed, covered with extra goodies, and delicious. Be prepared as the shakes may take some time to prepare. Because of the condos and hotel, self parking can be hard to come by. There is valet, but it can be pricey. We have always been able to find some, but you may need to search a bit.

Amazing service. Everyone was so kind and friendly. I brought my niece while she wa in town visiting to try their famous “Showstopper Shake.” WOW. It was almost too pretty to eat! Of course we did, and it was delicious! They really go above and beyond with this shake and with the service. Multiple staff stopped to comment or chat about the shake to share their experiences. It seemed like they were just as excited as we were about it. My niece got a huge kick out of it, texting tons of pictures to her friends. I think we have found a new tradition for every time she visits!

Just stopped at Zuzu this afternoon with two of my teenagers. They split a burger and said it was one of the best they've ever had. They were both excited about the bun and said it tasted homemade. (They both love baking bread, so they notice that kind of thing!) We also tried their Showstopper Shake which was piled high with caramel, chocolate and pretzels. We really loved the homemade caramel! The service was friendly and we enjoyed out meal on their outdoor patio.
