Great crab legs $42 per person for buffet including drink
Delish! Great Quality and lots of choices for an excellent price.
Good food and Great service!
Food selection was not desirable in taste or variables. Wait staff was attentive with all supply & demand, food presentation was pleasant & plentiful, areas were kept cleaned
I wouldn’t say 5 stars but the waitress always there checking for refills and cleaning up so that’s really great. Food was alright not so great and I had several mold on my fruits that I plan on giving my son but luckily I caught it before giving. Just keep an eye out. Overall it’s not too bad!
Amazing! Great amount of food for the price. The line went very fast and the service was great. The buffet area was very clean and constantly restocked. Already have plans to go back with friends!
Decent Buffet. Limited items, everything was OK, not good not bad, just fine. Nice dining room with space so you don't feel over crowded, staff friendly.
If all you want is a large amount of food this is it, if you want some great food this isn’t it. Plus asking for a tip before you get the service just doesn’t work for me.
Incredible buffet: we were so impressed we made a return visit. Wonderful staff who provided fast friendly service.
I think we're going back for dinner tonight. Can't wait for that. Try some of the best slots available after you grub
The food was warm the dining area is cold as f###.
I thought was an excellent fair priced Brunch!!!
Decent food and lots of it! For $25 you definitely get your money's worth! Can't say I'd make the trip back considering I live in the east valley but I hear the weekend menu is better but more $ due to the upgrades.
We go often. Always happy with their food, great experiences
Pricey, but worth it. The food was delicious. The staff were all extremely nice and the place was clean! I only wish they had more vegetables. But, I enjoyed my time here and look forward to visiting again! Best buffet I've ever been to!
Great Buffet! Lots of choices.
Always something good to eat here.
Ok food and service, nothing extraordinarily.
Their quality has definitely gone down. I have been going to the Wandering Horse off and on for the last few years, after tonight's visit, it just might be the last time. Friday and Saturday are king crab nights. The price for dinner was 36.00 a person. The crab was dry and had the consistency of imitation crab. They had oysters on the half shell, tonight, none. Roast lamb, not as tender as it was before. Creme brulee, gritty, like scrambled eggs. This place is buffet, all you can eat, but if the food isn't good why eat it at all?
Lots of options, lots of seafood. I think it was about $25 a person. We didn't partake in the build- your- own- noodle- bowl, or wait for someone to carve meat for us, but the sirloin was delicious and I wish I had been hungry enough to try the more filling options.
Good place, good good
Best buffet in Arizona. Pricey for a regular meal but really really good.
Was disappointed. Food not great quality. Not worth $25 for dinner on weekday. Service wonderful. I wont go back for the food. Better to spend $25 at cheesecake factory.
Special occasion place for our family. Many choices- we love the crab.
Overpriced as hell. But it's good food... It's a conundrum
The food was great and a great selection of everything you can choose from at a great price and all you can eat.
Our favourite buffet. Wide variety of cuisines, it has at least something for everyone. Great desserts as well.
Wonderful crab legs Amazing desserts Very good service We had a terrific birthday celebration!
My wife and I like breakfast buffets and find ourselves searching for them wherever we go. This one was good but seemed to be lacking choices. The staff was friendly and attentive. The seating area was clean and comfortable.
Food is usually decent, but there are sometimes inconsistencies that you wouldn't expect at this price point. Selection of foods is very good, and they have gluten-free and vegan options for those than have special dietary needs.
Wonderful buffet! King crab for days! The staff was very attentive. Desserts were plentiful, the best being an in-house creation called cranberry crisp. Although we didn't get wine, I regret it because of their very generous pours.
It was enjoyable. A bit pricey. I don't like that they charge a gratuity up front.
Normally it's good but last time I went the dishes smell like mildew and I got a queasy stomach feeling after
The buffet used to be really good. The last few times I went the food was scaled down. There wasn't as many choices for brunch as it used to be and the price is still going up!
A little expensive but all in all good
Wish they didn't have such a long wait. All selections were good. Food coma for sure leaving here.
King crab legs were great, all of the food and the atmosphere was nice.
One of the best buffets I ever been to. Everyone very friendly. Very clean. On the ball with service. Can't wait to go back.
Excellent service and food. It was seafood night. Got there just in time before there was a long line. Popular on Fridays.
Friday Night Crab legs are the Best with Hot Butter
Standard casino buffet. Food isn't amazing, but isn't terrible. They have a good selection of cuisines: Italian, Asian, Mexican, and american. They have items like pizza, steak, shrimp, egg rolls and salads. I will say the best part was the dessert selection. It was outstanding and every item was delicious.
One of the best I have enjoyed!
4th of July lunch special for the military was awesome! Buy 1 lunch at $15, second is free. Lots of food stations, very tasty, lots of staff members catering to our huge crowd. Well done!
Awesome food and great service
Excellent food n variety! Everything is kept hot n cold wonderfully! Waiters are friendly n helpful! ♥️
The place is pricey but the food is good ok selections
I would say it's the best buffet around town. Food is always good and great service.
Went for Sunday brunch. Good, but not great for the price, plus the line was outrageous.
Sunday brunch is everything. Such a huge selection and the king crab legs are plenty with warm butter. Dessert is so so but the food and drinks top notch. Mimosas and we could take them outside the buffet. Chilling poolside right now with my mimosa from brunch. Stellar for celebrations, special occasions, dates etc.
The food was great but our waitress was lazy and slow. Very difficult to get some basic things that we need it.
Delicious. Family friendly buffet. Full gelato selection. Prime rib. King crab.
Starting to get too expensive food was good
Best bang for your buck! Better than Vegas buffet for half the price! We had Jin as our server for drinks and picking up all our plates she was very attentive. After a great dinner we danced off the extra calories in the casino are live band area. Great date night with my husband.
Really excellent selection lots of different choices quality of the food is quite good I highly recommend it.
Not enough entree nor vegetable choices. Dessert selection too extensive! Furnishings clean and in excellent state of repair. No sun screens on wall of windows and darker walls, carpeting and furniture made it difficult to see as eyes constantly adjusting trying to adapt. Pricing seemed reasonable. I will probably go again.
It was ok, the only thing that was great was the presentation and the service. I guess I should have asked if we can do a walk through before we sat down to eat. I can only blame myself
Super good. Kind of pricey on Sunday's but very good quality for what they offer. Love this place.
Last night was my first visit to the buffet . The staff is friendly and the enormous selection of food will make you wish you don't go full until you tried everything. I love this place it's not too crowded and they have plenty of seating for one if you're by your self . Only thing I would suggest is not serving king crab legs split open it makes the juices dry out and Leaves the meat dry . But I can't complain that much it's a great value to get to eat all that seafood for a low price!
#worldfamousPatLyons style #CustomerService is key
I didn't think there was any good buffets in AZ and dreaded going back to the one in the Harrah's in Maricopa. Thank goodness for this Buffett. Everything I had here was on point, from the thin, hand made pizzas to the prime sirloin to the bananas fosters made one at a time. Worth every penny even if you don't gamble.
Great great price and they have very welcoming staff.
Great service and food!!
The all you can eat king crab buffet is only on Fridays. If you love crab, make sure you schedule a visit on a Friday. Otherwise the buffet is pretty average.
Very good , great selection . Worth every penny.
For a while now one of our favorite treats has been going to Talking Stick every month or so for their king crab leg special. While the price might seem a little high the value is excellent. The all you can eat crab legs are large and well prepared, and the service is great. However, when we visited again this past Friday we discovered that the price had been raised by $5 per person. We understand that prices can't stay the same forever so it was not a big deal. What was a big deal was discovering that the the king crab legs they were serving that evening were half the size they used to be and looked more like fragments than whole legs. It is July and I realize king crab is not in season. We will certainly go back again in a few weeks and will be anxious to see if the decrease in quality, that came at the same time prices prices were increased, was an aberration or the new normal. If it is the new normal then I'm afraid we will have lost a pleasant experience and will not be going back.
Good value for the money spent. Went on a weekday lunch, had good time. Various cuisines were served, specially liked Mexican and Italian. Soft drinks were complementary, with good options. Desserts were okay tough numerous options, we liked small moose's and ice cream/ shorbat.
Prime rib, king crab legs, stone crab and shrimp cocktail were good not great. The king crab legs were way too salty. I enjoyed their desserts, but not a fan of their Mexican and Asian offerings. For $40, I expected better quality seafood. Not sure if it's worth coming back.
Extensive variety of food. There were salad bars , soups, seafood, meats, desserts and lots of some other items. Atmosphere was nice at the time we arrived and left. Service members were top notch.
Always delicious fresh food a huge variety of things to eat! Our family enjoys going to dinner here. If you leave here hungry it's your own fault
Fantastic rack of pork tonight! King crab is always great on Friday's and Saturday's
Great service and delicious food!
The food here is awesome..King crab legs, beef Wellington, fresh shrimp,Oriental style dishes, all buffet style.. the desert area is overwhelming...gelato ,cakes, pie.. this place is the bomb
It was very good! We went with a party of 8 to celebrate a 90th birthday, so from my 18 year old son, to two 90 year olds, we all enjoyed the variety. Husband and son enjoyed the crab legs the most. I enjoyed the mimosas that are included with the brunch .:)
Saturday at this buffet is the best day. Seafood selection is amazing. Worth every cent.
Staff super friendly, food was excellent.
Well... Must I state the cold hard facts of getting there late. The food which had the potential to be great was not. There was no warning as to the quality at the end lacking. All I wanted was an apology and what I got was a forced Im sorry without any intent to acknowledge my complaint or even attempt to right it.
Buffet at Talking Stick Casino is always a rare treat. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food is excellent with so many choices. Would highly recommend this place especially for your out of town guests.
Excellent, good variety and fresh!
This place is so amazing! The food is great, the waiters are very attentive.
Come for the lunch special at the Wandering Horse, fantastic food for a great price. All sorts of cuisine and options for your every craving. After enjoying a King's meal, you can just wander off into the Casino and play a few slots. Fantastic experience! Will come again!
Little pricey....good
Tasty food at.a.good.price.
42$ a person on Fridays...Lots of fresh crab and butter, but other selections aren't that impressive. Beef Wellington pastry was soggy and stroganoff meat was dry and overcooked. Asian dishes are pretty boring and "mexican" selection was not much but enchiladas.
The food was so amazing but the wait was ridiculously long
The food I had here was all very good but nothing that really stood out. For 38 bucks on a Friday night I thought they would have had prime rib but I guess not. Beef Wellington and little mini sirloins were the best options for beef and they were both decent. If you love seafood Friday night is your best option crab legs shrimp oysters all looked very good ,wish I ate seafood.
Awesome variety of fresh food. Pricey at $25 a person, but worth it!
AMAZING. I've been to a few buffets before but this one was different. Well organized, well staffed, large variety and the food was very fresh. I went solely for the Alaskan king crab and was pleasantly satisfied. The price for the buffet is very comparable to the items featured. I will be returning.
Great variety and good food. Prompt service and a good price.
They are doing much better at this location. They used to mess up all the time. Here is the due credit. Now, can I have some free stuff?
Great service for our large group!
Food quality is excellent, this place rivals Vegas casinos. They don't have monds of food, but the quality of the food is exceptional. We had the lunch buffet, $35 for the two us. Don't take my word for it, go check it out.
Love the Sunday brunch. It's the only reason I go to Talking Stick Resort. Love that they serve Alaskan King Crab and that it's already split open for you.
This is the best buffet, in my opinion... I especially LOVE the banana forster...delicious!
Very friendly staff, food quality-variety "no" stars! Even had on menu board Asian and italian, none to be found! Bacon burnt on tray with sausage links, sausage patties and dried out ham slices. Need to just cancel the buffet if this is all you got!
Crab legs are Awesome! Clam chowder also Tasty..price went up $48.57 per person.
A ton of variety. Friendly staff. Good food. 10/10
$38 for dinner on Friday & Saturday night includes king crab legs. There were also steamed mussels & clams, baked oysters and a few varieties of baked fish for seafood offerings. The seafood was just ok, nothing spectacular but satisfied my craving for king crab legs. I come here often for Sunday brunch as well, which also includes king crab legs and champagne. Brunch price is similar, maybe a few $ less.
Food was fantastic !!! Crab legs were plentiful...steaks were tender and juicy, salads were fresh and crispy, deserts were outstanding. I would give them a five star review except for the "rules" they have upon check in. We had a party of 11 Coming from all over the valley. The first person to arrive told the cashier (they don't take reservations) that we would be eating there as a warning to them that we were a large party. The cashier asked which person was paying, (at $50.00 per person) she was told the payment would be assorted. The cashier said they could not set up the table until all parties were paid for. The way she said this was rude. Other than that everything was great. Wait staff was very attentive once we were all seated and the food was great.
For the price, not worth it. The service was good, server attentive to our needs, however the food offering was not the grandest.
Exquisite in its best form. The king of the king crab legs. The Gelato.... yum. The service...awesome. totally delish...
OMG! King Crab Legs!
Long line to get in but worth the wait. 30 to 45 min to get in but the food is really good.
Food was good. Service was okay. Nothing amazing, but nothing bad at all.
This was THE BEST buffet I have been to in years! Told the family I never want to cook another Thanksgiving dinner again so long as this buffet is in operation. Didn't like the SUPER LONG wait, but gotta say was well worth it!
Food is so delicious so may different thing to choose from. I recommend this place for everyone who love buffets.
Talking Stick Resort buffet. Price - VERY reasonable as compared to Las Vegas' top buffets. However, there were notices that price was increasing soon. Never got the chance to dine there for breakfast as they close by the time we are ready to have a late breakfast. Had 3 successive dinners there. Immensely enjoyed the first night, was still ok with the 2nd night but, was ready to try another after the 3rd night. Dining area is comfortable and nicely decorated as was the whole resort. In the 3 nights we dined there, there was never a wait for a table. To note: we dined always around 8:30pm and the buffet closes at 9pm, so we would always be reminded of such. Food : The Osso Bucco, the shredded beef dish by the Mexican food area were my favorites. Also, the crispy shrimp, Spanish rice, (cold) salmon fillets and the desserts (specially, the pistachio colored dessert in tiny little cups....I really loved those). Have to also be honest and say, the baked clams were the worst I've ever had. As my husband commented, he had never seen me take food out of my mouth. Overall, still a good dining choice for about 2 visits. One comment for the TSR management, reconsider the buffet hours. Visitors like us are on vacation and thereby operate on vacation time. How about closing at 10am instead of 9am and 10pm instead of 9pm. (Table) Service staff were excellent!
Took my family of 6 for crab night.... $283! Food was okay. Nothing special. $47 and change for adults and $21 and change for kids. $21 and change in taxes. Was worth $30 bucks max. I regret ever going and spending a car payment to eat. Now all I want to do is vomit because my kids would have rather had Joes Crab Shack for half the cost. Now we know.....
Went there for Easter Sunday Buffet. Waited in line for 50 minutes, paid $60 per person and was extremely disappointed. Lamb chops and beef tenderloins were overcooked, barely warm with very little seasoning. Crab legs, clams and shrimp were just average, nothing great. I expected more for $60. Possibly better on a non-holiday weekend.
Food was great and especially the king crab legs on the weekends.
As casino buffets go the lunch price is pretty good. $10 is not bad for all you can eat lunch buffet. But for as big as the places they are quite limited on their selection.
Not sure about the negative reviews because my experience was wonderful. Staff was great. Food was delicious. Lots and lots of different food to choose from. I think there was 5 or 6 different shrimp choices alone in their normal everyday buffet. Actually the best all around buffet I've ever been to. Might be a little pricey but worth it. I live 90 miles away but I'll be back.
I always come to the Wandering Horse for the King crab legs on Friday/Saturday. I have not been for Sunday Brunch yet. I have some food allergies and a restricted diet but I still manage to find plenty of stuff to eat. Just ask anyone working in the food area if you have questions. Worth every penny. Seriously. Just Go.
Great Las Vegas style buffet
Very good nothing like it
Great food but way over priced when compared to Vegas buffets
It was good for what it is
My favorite all you can eat king crab place.
Great food, price is great especially during brunch. However, they should look into changing up some of the desserts . Awesome place!
We were there for lunch and I guess I expected a larger selection at a buffet. The food was good but maybe they don't serve as much at lunch. We are used to going to another buffet that has, at least, a hundred selections. It was our first time there and I talked to a couple employees who were not pleasant or helpful.
Best place ANYWHERE to get your Crab fix on. Worth it at least one or two times a years.
One of the best buffets I've ever been to! Always very clean, has great fresh food with a lot of variety, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the view from the giant windows is beautiful! Great place for singles, couples, and family to get a nice meal.
This buffet is the best outside of Vegas! Wonderful selection of high quality foods! Good cocktails too if you're wanting one.
I really enjoyed a food
Had lunch here last Saturday... We enjoyed it very much! Good variety of food, clean, nicely displayed and the was worth it!... Great place to have lunch with friends and families!
If you love Buffets, this one is one of the Best in Scottsdale. Moderately expense but well worth it.
This review is just for all you can eat King Crab night which is Friday and Saturday. The buffet itself is really good for buffet food, better than a lot in Vegas but the obvious star is the King Crab legs, most buffets offer Snow Crab which is great and all but King Crab legs all you can eat for $38.99 plus tax, amazing! I've been around 4 times this year so far and everything has been 5 star worthy from The Service to the huge dessert selection. Highly recommended but be prepared to wait in line at peak times.
Delicious and variant food. Mexican, Italian, Asian... For sure you will find something you love. Costs $17 including tax. There is another branch in which it costs $12 but not sure about the address. Call the number here they will provide you the address.
Awesome food my kids love it
Mashed potatoes and steak are amazing.
I was excited about trying this place out. Everyone talked highly of it and the food, experience etc. When I walked in the main area, first thought was hospital food, the set up and all. Food was okay, nothing special. Clean, okay food, nothing worth coming back for that I haven't had elsewhere. Desert presentation is awesome! But favor lacks.
Tasty, fresh. Great selection. Dessert island by itself is worth the cost of admission.
My meal was good, came almost the right time, if we came bit later we would had to wait forever
Good food. Decent service. Pricey.
LOVE the buffet. Staff is amazing & on point with removing used dishes off the table.
Excellent! Great luncheon price. Great service.
Holy friggin wow. Just... wow.
Great food for great price. Excellent service
Amazing buffet. Highly recommend if you want an amazing buffet experience.
My ratings for the buffet vary based on meal type. I absolutely love their brunches on the weekends while dinners are good, not great. Since it's a bit costly, I would recommend going when you have some time to sit, relax and enjoy various types of food and drinks. I do highly recommend the mimosas!
Wandering Horse buffet was great, very good food and very clean. You can play Keno from the table at the buffet, we did and won $10. The food was wonderful. Everything from Chinese food, Mexican food, Mediterranean food, spaghetti, pizza, cheeses, meats, steaks, chicken, and tons of desserts. Non-alcoholic drinks are included in the price. We paid $24 per person for dinner and it was TOTALLY worth it. Can't wait to go again.
Crab crab crab! Oh... And Banana Foster! Very good!
Food and service were good. Large and varied selection of food.
Crab was very fishy and salad bar hardly anything to choose from.. Pizza was floppy not crispy at all.. It was not a good experience for the price.
This is one of the best buffets I have been to and am talking about all buffet in vegas nothing compared to this its was excellent choices
Good food. Served hot. Great variety, daily changes.
Was soooooo good. Way to many good choices.
Freaking love this place I love going here and I cant wait to go back
Great place for dinnet
Great food. Not to pricey if you eat enough or you only eat Crab legs, otherwise it's pricey.
Good food but the service was awesome . Wesley Spencer was our server and he was absolutely great customer service.
Good for the price
Pretty expensive , food is very basic with little selections.
Staff is great. Most the food is good. Some food over cooked.
The best place to dine when it is time to impress your guests! REALLY!!
Pricey but good food. Something for everyone.
If buffets are your thing then you will enjoy this buffet. The price is on par with Vegas or your other upscale buffets. It was very clean and the food was hot and fresh. Just be sure to go hungry!
Best Crabs Ever excellent service too. Recommend to friends and family.
Went here after looking around for a good buffet. I thought the overall food was pretty good. Similar priced places have worse food. I thought the dessert selection was awesome. Staff were quick and attentive. Great place to eat at if you're really hungry!
