Chef Vincent the best! Great ambiance, great food, great service, prices are, well you get what you pay for, definitely a chic and classy place, me and my friend we just ate there tonight we had the salmon with ratatouille, it was delicious like something I have never tasted before

Went there on yesterday for lunch - Saturday in March. I had been to Vincent market bistro a number of times, but never Saturday lunch during high season. Makes a difference - big difference. There is a farmer's market - some fruits and veggies, but also purses, art, baskets, paintings, etc. And then about five or so stations to buy Vincent's food. All outside. The six of us got there about noon. There was one table big enough for all us available. The only negative was that the table was partly in full sun - on a hot March day. Anyway. Everyone in our group got either crepe or pizza. I got bacon arugula pizza. It was delicious. I didn't buy a beverage. I don't drink pop nor alcohol. And I'm not paying $1 for a bottle of water. I was thirsty, but not that thirsty. Anyway, everyone really enjoyed their food. Mostly enjoyed the seating and atmosphere. I thought the prices were good fit what you get. (except for the aforementioned water - about which I'm a little insane.) I look forward to returning some time to the farmer's market/Vincent's .... And also returning to just plain Vincent's Bistro.

Hidden Jem, food and desserts very good, desserts complementary. My last experience thecwziteevwas very impatient, he stated should call him when I am ready to order, although he could botbecplsin the Pre Fixed Nenue, I inquired about. Other than that, it was enjoyable. A Five Star Foodie

My husband and I have been eating at the Market Bistro for years and always enjoyed the food and service. Last Friday was not so enjoyable. Our server, Alex, was less than enthusiastic and for lack of a better word, snippy. (We saw her 4 times the entire meal). The water we were served tasted like dirty water (ok - it's tap water, but at least use a filter!) Alex did not seem to care one iota nor did she offer an option. We both ordered fish lunches. Both dishes were overcooked and served on a bed of chopped romaine with some very sad Roma tomato 1/4 slices around the rim of the plate and pitiful tiny slices of avocado. Red Lobster does it better and that is not saying much. Lisa was the saving grace of the meal and very gracious and apologetic. Vincent, step up your game. I would have given one star if not for Lisa.

I'm soon to be a frequent flyer. Can't say enough nice words. It was fancy but not spendy. Felt transported to Europe! See my comments on my photos.

Very nice atmosphere. Excellent food

Croissants that melt in your mouth. 3 course Prix Fixe menu is great deal: Tonights choices were: Lobster, Halibut, or Duck Comfit with a starter and dessert for $29. Portions are European style, plenty and you don't leave feeling stuffed. Cute, casual bistro with friendly servers.

I have not actually been inside the bistro, but we always go to the market on Saturdays. Lots of good food and bakery items plus cute knick knacks. Chef Vincent and his wife are good people and a staple to the neighborhood.

This place was fantastic! We stopped in for a Valentines dinner. We called ahead and found out that they don’t take reservations; but that if we arrived when they opened at 5pm, we shouldn’t have an issue getting a table (but to arrive early, because they fill up fast). And they weren’t kidding; we got there about 5:15pm, and there were only two tables left. He wait staff were very friendly; they greeted us immediately when we got in the door and after we sat down. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about he menu and answered all our questions. I ordered off the prix fixe meal: sea scallops for an appetizer and seared veal (see photos). The food was quite delicious and cooked to our liking. Our waiter checked in on us a couple times, but left us to enjoy our dinner; which was nice. They were very busy, but we didn’t feel rushed. When it came time for desert, we started to place our order, but he said he already took care of it. Turns out, he brought us out a sampler of all three deserts to try. Some people wouldn’t like that, but we loved that! So, all in all, we thought this place was great; and we will definitely be going back and bringing our friends and family too! Pro tip: there are two sides to this restaurant. The part we were in, the Bistro, was located on the backside of the restaurant (didn’t face the street), doesn’t take reservations and is a bit smaller...but they have, pretty much, the same menu. However, on the front of the building (the street facing side), they do take reservations, and it seemed a bit fancier than the Bistro. We didn’t know about this at the time, but will call that side of the restaurant next time, so we can check it out.

While the restaurant is very quaint, the food was barely ok. Too expensive for what you get. Ordered fish w/salad on side. But out came a plate full of lettuce with a pc of fish no bigger than a sardine. When asked to take home leftovers (from companion) they forgot to put food in box? Included with meal, stale dessert. Not good all around.

This is our second trip to this location. Both times, we had wonderful food and a classy yet casual dining experience. The food is quality over quantity with a culinary arstry that is not typical of more American fare / establishments. The service is a delight. The menu is a simple affair with sharp focus. The pacing of service is such that you have a chance to catch up with friends and enjoy the experience. The entries were adequately sized with being excessively heavy. The dessert was a treat and a wonderful way to end the meal.

What a great place for brunch! It's only open for this meal on Sundays, so make a point of coming. Everything from the complimentary croissants with homemade jam to the coffee to the perfectly prepared omelettes are simply and flawlessly prepared and presented. Prices are more than fair for the quality and the service is second to known. The surprise fresh-fruit tarte with ice cream served on the house at the end of the meal was just a finishing touch of class. I'm a believer! Big groups can make the space inside a little noisy, so be prepared if most of the tables are filled.

Bistro takes no reservations unless there are more than 5 people. The bistro doesn't have a restroom, need to go outside and into the restaurant to use the restroom. Restaurant takes reservations for parties of any size.

I love Vincent's! We always go to the cafe and every time my grandma visits from England we go as much as she wants (enough that they know her and ask when she's coming back next time). Very welcoming, especially because they remember us. Food is wonderful, at this point I've tried almost everything on the menu at the cafe and haven't found anything I don't like. My favorite dish is the quiche.

Liz Lang

Had a raspberry crepe, a made to order omellett, croissant and paella to go. Well worth the trip, but will go in the winter when it cools off.

This is the casual bistro adjacent to Vincent's fine dining. Great food from a legendary valley chef and his well tenured staff in a relaxing setting. Highly recommended!

Deb Zarka

A seasonal outdoor French market that does not disappoint! From the giant paella pans simmerring away, made to order fluffy omelettes, wood fired pizza, freshly baked pastries and breads to the selection of fresh produce...mimosas, wine, champagne, beautiful crafts and live music...it's a real treat. Arrive early to grab a table!

Outstanding food and service

I've been a regular customer of Vincent's Bistro for at least 5 years. Dollar for dollar, it has to be the best food in town. But lately the service has been lacking due to understaffing. My party of 3 arrived on a weeknight at 5:40pm. Only four other tables were occupied, but the only server was still very busy, explaining the menu, taking orders, and serving drinks. We waited 15 minutes to get our order taken, just before the restaurant began filling up. Who knows what was going on in the kitchen. We didn't get our appetizer until 6:20 and our entree until 6:30. Two other servers eventually arrived, but hardly any food was coming out of the kitchen. At least we got served before any of the people who arrived after us. I asked to see Vincent but was told he was gone for the day. It will be awhile before I go back and when I do, if things haven't improved, I'm done.

A very quaint place behind Vincent's Restaurant. Always a lovely pre-meal surprise, fresh ingrediencies, and a tasty treat to end your meal!

This French bistro is superb! Great service, nice wines, and authentic delicious French dishes. The croissants were amazing and the quiche was perfect. Desserts arrived without request, included as part of meal, and they were amazing: A lovely fruit tart with raspberry sorbet, and a equally delicious chocolate torte.

Karen Ress

I enjoyed this quaint french bistro immensly. The food was super and I am already anxious to make a return business trip, so I have a chance to eat here again. Staff was attentive & gracious, such a wonderful hidden gem.

I love the place, daily specials from a world-class chef in a more casual setting. Fine dining that's a little easier on the wallet, not cheap by any means, but do-able and top top quality all around ...

Don't tell your friends about this place. Keep it small!

Riyad Kalla

You know that little, lesser-known, hole-in-the-wall, amazing restaurant that you wish you could think of on a beautiful Saturday or Sunday morning, to spend your entire morning at, enjoying the weather, sipping fantastic coffee with impeccably made pastries (croissants!), rich béchamel sauce on some incredible egg dish and a waiter that just brings you randomly delicious things that you didn't order (and he doesn't charge you for!) because he had them in the back and just thought you might like them? Well, you found it. This is the "little secret place" you take your out of town friends to. This is the place you lose track of time at with your good friends, laughing and eating the whole morning away until you leave stuffed, totally happy and ready to relax and enjoy the rest of your day. Love this place. Easy to recommend. We have wandered in on Saturday and Sunday anywhere between 9 and 11am and never had an issue finding a seat. Very casual experience. Start with a cappuccino, enjoy the fresh hot croissants for a while, maybe get a chocolate one (dear god, so good), maybe another cup of coffee, order some breakfast, talk, laugh and just enjoy. Then be shocked at the end of this beautiful meal when the bill comes, and it is no more than any other breakfast place and the owner probably didn't even charge you for some of the items just so you'd have a better experience (happened every time we've gone). Vincent's place has a really wonderful/relaxed energy that is all about enjoying your day and we do every time we go.

Errol Getner

I really don't want to say how amazing the food is for lunch or dinner. This is a French bistro, folks.

Very cool weekend market.

The Service is Fabulous and is only out done by the Cuisine. Wine selection is Great and reasonable. New Menu and the Stuffed Chili was another reason to get back real soon.

Excellent food and service.

Thelma L. Simmons

I gave 5 stars for the good service and their very tasteful breakfast dishes! Their hot and strong coffee fits the ticket very well. I just cannot accept places that want you to drink their wash/wash coffee that looks like tinted water, it looks so cheap that they want to save money on coffee powder. Vincent's delicious free sweets/croissant are to die for and the main breakfast menu are the best in Phoenix! Their location by the Salt River Canal, one can just walk and do the wonderful by the water canal walking exercise!! If you have not been there, do it a try!

Very nice French bistro style ambiance, they give you 3 croissants with Strawberry preserves instead of bread. The crab cakes were delicious. Edit: also they gave me complimentary dessert (pumpkin pie and brownie with ice cream) Service was great.

Great prix fixe menu--usually 3 courses for around $30.00. The meals are similar to Vincent's next store, my experience was slightly smaller portions at a fraction of the cost. Have eaten here a number of times and always enjoyed it. Consistently good service, and great wine list. The staff here is always friendly, there is usually not much of a wait for a table. Its significantly more crowded at in the winter months than the summer.

Great little restaurant located towards the back of the building (you'll understand once you get there). Two restaurants side by side, same owner I think. Had a great meal and amazing drink! Server was very good at his duty and prompt! Valet greets you, regardless. Small restaurant but great date place. Phoenix area has many great restaurants now so next time I'd try the front restaurant and pass on the back one. Nothing negative, a good overall French restaurant!
