This Restaurant is included in the category of Latin American restaurant.
My fiancé made reservations here for my birthday. The restaurant was very quiet, we sat near a window overlooking the golf course and the mountains, which provided a lovely backdrop. The server was incredibly friendly and attentive. Highly enjoyed the food and cocktails as well. We had the ceviche, surf and turf sushi, the skirt steak, mac & cheese, and the white chocolate dessert. Will return.
Loved the atmosphere, food was amazing. Definitely going back
One of the best restaurants I ever ate at the food it's delicious the sushi is to die for the service is magnificent I just love it there
La Bomba was such an amazing experience! Every bite was an adventure. Thanks to our server, Ray, for making it a fun night.
Friendly staff, good selection of rum!
Dinner was ok dessert was very fun.
Fancy and pricey. Worth every penny seriously.
Gorgeous food, wide variety of run and spectacular service .....
Best drinks and happy hour
Food and the appetisers are really good the cocktails are okay the pricing is high
This is a great South American restaurant. The scallops and pork belly is amazing! The rum selection here is 2nd to none. Bit pricey but you are getting what you pay for.
Unusual but tasty dishes
Took my wife to a belated Valentines Day dinner and it was great! Followed our foodserver Hannah's suggestion didn't regret it. The best things I had were the rum special cocktail, a taste of my wife's short ribs and the la bomba dessert, all worthy of recommending to a friend. While the food was terrific, I was impressed by the staff teamwork from Jake when Hannah delivered our dessert and one of the cold toppings had trouble dripping out of its container, he disappeared momentarily to get something for Hannah to help dispense it with without missing a beat on serving the amazing dessert. Also, at the end of the night when we left, my wife left her reading glasses on the table and a staff member caught up with us before we got in our car to return it to us. The food was wonderful and the service outstanding. Most importantly, we had fun experience. Thank you entire Toro team. Even the guy that saw my napkin had slipped off my lap and put a fresh one on the table while picking up my mistake before I even noticed while I was enjoying an appetizer! Its the details that count.
First of all, upon receiving a call confirming our reservations, we were encouraged to come in at an earlier time. We declined. Upon arrival, we were seated in the middle of a large dining area clustered with what looked like guests of the resort and we could have easily been seated in a more romantic spot (we were not asked about our preference). One of the first questions we were asked was, "are we staying here?" (standard question, I know, but the way in which it was asked was already condescending). The second comment was, "Oh, you have a Groupon, let me get you that menu..." (Again, not terrible, but condescending, and not "Hey, welcome to our fine establishment, let me tell you about all the wonderful things we offer...."). The waitress was friendly enough but clearly not thrilled about our 8:30 reservation and was perfunctory in her service. Cut to the chase: the calamari was not good at all, overcooked. The salad with edamame, corn and I don't remember what else was good except I can't remember because they brought the entrees before we were even a third of the way through the first course! The busser tried to whisk away the salad 3 times before I had to give him a stern "NO". By then, my fish was dead cold. The waitress did not bother to come by until I had actually almost finished my salad. When I told her that our entrees came WAY before we were finished with our first course, she fiegned surprise (there were 2 other tables), apologized and asked if I still wanted the fish. I was immensely turned off already but said I would like to try the ribs instead (thinking they would just reheat the fish for me and throw it back out); she said she would "ask the chef" and "see what they could do". !!!! The ribs were brought out by an implied "manager" although she did not introduce herself, and presented with the prevailing condescending attitude, no apologies. The ribs, not so good. Overly sweet, the slaw was horrible, the potatoes with it, horrible, please. Overall this food could be found at a Denny's for $20 and here we paid $80 for a supposedly $130 meal. The "chef" should be ashamed. I have been a Chef at a 5 Diamond resort in Phoenix and can sympathize with the challanges that this situation presents, but sorry, no excuses for the overall experience from top to bottom. I am surprised and perplexed by all the positive reviews. Methinks something Trumpesque is going on here..... The Tres Leches were half good besides the out-of-the-can sauces and the other thing with the flowers was not good except for the garnish. The best part of the night was the flight of rum (for which we paid full price). I appreciate that they made the ribs for me, but any good establishment would have comped the whole night and asked us back again. They did no such thing, not even close. We will never go back again without an apology and will certainly share our experience. Even then, we would only go back for the beautiful grounds.
Great service
Food was fine. Over priced and slow service. They added a 24% gratuity......Skip this place
We decided to go here for a pre-pre-celebration for birthdays. Latin food and rum bar how can you go wrong! As it turns out they had over 100 different rums to choose from. We love the ambience, the fireplaces were glowing, and we were greeted by the manager and the chef. Arnoldo & Saul taged teamed our table, not only were they a perfect team but the service that they offered with the big smiles was the best! We ordered pork belly mac & cheese which was delicious. Ceviche, Surf and turf and salads. It turns out if you eat there and spend $75+ they will give you a stamp to get so much money off a ticket to the princess Fairmont light show to do the train. It’s about a 15 minute ride to take around the lake where they have thousands of lights shaped in many objects and wrapped around trees, it was beautiful. It was the best time we have ever had in Phoenix.
Was excited to try the pollo a la Brasa, dish came out with about 1/4 of a chicken, the rest potatoes. Very disappointed. Noisy, forget conversations. The service was excellent, drinks were very good.
Fantastic breakfast! The eggs Benedict was off the hook! Along with the French toast, I highly recommend along with the food, a great view of the 18th hole at TPC Scottsdale
A-MA-ZING!!? Can't wait to go back!!
Super Fun Dessert meant to be shared with family & friends! La Bomba!
Great spot in Scottsdale
Very tasty and enjoyable atmosphere
Toro has a great atmosphere and amazing food. The "La Bomba" dessert is to die for, the bowl the holds gelato and ice cream is made out of chocolate. The way it is served is very unique to but I don't want to give away the surprise ;)
This was our first visit to Toro. We'd been to that location years ago when it was known as The Grill at TPC. Wonderful experience - the food was great, TPC Stadium Course views were beautiful and the staff were friendly and very accommodating. A really nice evening.
Excellent. Wonderful food. Great presentation.
Excellent food. Great service, and the view?!
Absolutely Outstanding food, atmosphere and scenery. Highly recommended.
Big variety of food choices. Try the sushi.
Great service...far overpriced for the selections
Excellent food, excellent service, not enough gluten free options.
The Latin inspired stir fry was delicious, and the rum selection was phenomenal.
Appetizers are of the chain! Pork tenderloin where top of the line! Would definitely recommend any time visiting Arizona
Happy to take business from google, too busy to post for the google community that they are closed.
Visited for lunch and had a very nice experience. We ordered an appetizer (truffle fries - delicious!) and entrees. I had the fried rice which was really good and my husband had the Toro Toro Burger (served on a warm baking stone - nice) which he enjoyed. I also got the blueberry mocktail which was as gorgeous in it's presentation as it was delicious. The service was attentive and well-timed and the ambience was upscale without being stuffy or overwhelming. We will be back!
Great experience. Attentive wait staff and wonderful meal. All choose differently and all were happy with the food.
Very good service, very nice view of golf course, got fried rice which was great and serving was huge
Toro's food and service is top notch. Their menu covers a wide variety of flavorful and delicious foods. The bar is full service and fully stocked. And of course the view is absolutely stunning, settled on the TPC Scottsdale golf course. The local tomatoes with watermelon and burrata are seriously fresh and lift up my dinner. I wish I have this appetizer every day
Recommended by a friend, and it was everything he said, and more. Amazing food, amazing service & amazing atmosphere. Perfect for special occasions. Will forever be a favorite.
Gorgeous, amazing ambiance, amazing Spanish/Latin guitar musician, food was absolutely delicious!!!! The calamari is the best I've ever had, the Havana roll we had was perfect, the Thai chicken skewers were really good, I'm going back!!
Amazing place for brunch, the have sushi, ceviche as well as a large selection of brunch items. Indoor and outdoor seating selections with fire pits for those awesome evenings. Our waiter asked us is we would like to start with something sweet before our brunch, which is my favorite way to go. Sorry I didn't take pics of the dessert options, they went pretty quick.
Great Restaurant
Great food.
Not worth the hype! Cover price poorly executed food on an ambitious menu with excellent service
Brentwood maze us welcomed and delivered a great meal

Great place, great view, great rum...limited gluten free options.
Saturday our family met at Toro for brunch. I'll start out by saying, the experience was pure perfection. Arnoldo, our server, made our experience outstanding. Not being familiar with the menu he supplied us with all of the details of the dishes we inquired about. Everything we ordered was outstanding in presentation, quality and absolutely delicious. The Bartender John also presented and served perfect cocktails, they were both eye catching and formulated deliciously. We look forward to returning next time we are in town. Thank you for the experience, Kristina Keller
Ray was truly phenomenal, treating us to special birthday drinks and desserts (3 mini tastings of each of the favorites) and just a joy to chat with him and Brent. Both a class act. Great food, far above and beyond expectations of a golf course restaurant.
Great place for Latin food and a wide variety of rums. This one is our favorite and hard to get. Please post if anyone knows where to get this rum. It's called Sammy Hagers Beach bar rum from Hawaii.
Lamb kabobs were different in a very good and flavorful way. Ceviche has the flavors I expected and was also delicous but the corn and cream kind of threw me off at first.
This was a lunch & our orders consisted of simple fare like sandwiches & such which were all good. The 5 star rating was given mostly for the attentive service which made everything more enjoyable.
Someone needs to season the food.
Great spot. Fairmont hotel.
Cool location. The drinks are a bit spend but are very tasty.
Great food. Great music. Great service. LA BOMBA is MUST HAVE!!
Great people, food and views!!!
Good food, great views
Breakfast was delicious and the breathtaking views were even better! I would especially recommend the carnitas omelet! Our amazing server, Esteban, made the experience especially special!
Excellent food, service & view
Great location and service. The bomb is a for sure thing if you haven’t been here before.
Great sushi
Amazing views of the TPC in Scottsdale. The food is an eclectic mix of Asian and Spanish, but it was all excellent. They were out of an unusual dessert we saw when we walked in, so they comped us a different one. The service was attentive and helpful. Not a place I will be hurrying back to, but glad I got to experience it. The decor is well designed, and of course the view is second to none.
The food here is superb! Every dish I had was above expectation. The waiters did check on my table often. My only advice to them would be to try being a little bit friendlier. I thanked them on many occasions with no response. Just something for them to pay more attention to. You want people to feel welcomed in a classy way. Overall, great restaurant!
Great place to eat - per of the Fairmont Princess hotel property (open to public as well) - Price for meals are equal to the quality of food. Hostesses and wait staff were amazing - stop in and try it!!
Yummy food and drinks!!
Great ribs and there rib-eye is to die for just great food and a hell of a good staff
What an amazing experience!
The evening was great from start to finish. Each meal we had was a surprise in flavor and very enjoyable. There is a sushi bars that we will use on our next visit. Staff was wonderful. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset. But meals are a little pricey but worth it.
Authentic Latin Cuisine and the Rum Flights are amazing. Sit outside and enjoy the view of the 18th at TPC Scottsdale
Awesome as usual!
I was honestly apprehensive before visiting Toro. After dining at Bourbon Steak & La Hacienda, how could this concept (Latin + Meat) really differentiate itself? Well, boy did they prove me wrong. The manager Hunter is warm, engaging, and very responsive. After meeting him, I knew I wanted to give it a shot. Bourbon is so great for a formal night out, when you really want a high-end dining experience. LaHa is fantastic for lively flair. But walking in Toro feels like... home in a weird way. The interaction from the hostesses and bartenders is so welcoming and coming from the Midwest, we know when someone is being genuine and when they're reading from a script. I was celebrating a successful quarter and treating my team. I had a traditional mojito and it was perfect. Tasted great, not full of sugar, but not something to try to get you drunk either. We had the calamari, tomato salad, and shrimp to start. The calamari was so perfect and the heirloom tomatoes combined with watermelon, burrata cheese, and balsamic was a treat for my colleagues as it's always been one of my favorite combinations of flavors. Perfect for summer! There were 3 of us so we literally cut the 4th shrimp into 3rds! I'm a ceviche fanatic so we splurged and got the ceviche mixto. As good as any homemade Mexican ceviche I've ever had and 100x better than what I've had at resorts in Mexico. The meat platter (sorry I forget the name) had some of the best lamb I've ever tasted. I'm being 100% honest. Reading the description of "La Bomba" I was not interested. I'm not a huge chocolate fan and thought that's what it would entail - layers of chocolate richness. Trust me. GET. THIS. DESSERT. Seriously, if you go for nothing else, go for this. I'm not even going further. Go experience it. Trust the staff. Perfect segue to the most magical and important of all - the staff. Brent was just incredible. He was kind, attentive, and like every one of FSPs restaurants, the timing is exceptional. Conversational enough to build a connection; never hovering, never rushing, never awkwardly lingering. The Fairmont is lucky to have him as a colleague. While we ate, I almost cried, though. A man singing live while playing a guitar. Loud enough to hear but certainly not drowning out conversation. He played "remember me" from Coco and after spending 65 hours a week, 6 days a week at work, and hearing one of my and my 7 year olds favorite songs played so beautifully, is almost choking me up now. Thank you so much for the memories as always. Can't wait to return!
Great food. La bomba is worth the money its amazing
Nice ambience and the service was very good but the food was mediocre at best. The shrimp tempura roll was half the size and twice the price of our other go to spots. The rainbow roll was nothing special. While it did have real crab inside and did have some good sauce, the fish was very thin and not of the quality we would expect from a $18.00 sushi roll. The drinks and other dishes a tuna ceviche and lamb skewers were good but not great.
Amazing!
We've gone here twice for lunch meetings recently and both visits were great. The drinks are great, the food is great. Service is very good. Beautiful views. The prices are high for what it is, but it is a golf resort so I guess that's how they rationalize it. We didn't have to pay either time so that makes it even better.
I took my now-fiance here for our 4-year anniversary while we were on a "staycation" at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. I called in several times beforehand to make a reservation and to ensure that they knew it was our 4-year anniversary celebration. I'm not one of those people that expect a lot (like free dessert or anything like that), but I would at least like it to be mentioned if I take the time to inform the place ahead of time. Unfortunately, not once did any employee at the restaurant mention our anniversary. I expect more from a restaurant at a five-star resort where you spend over $75 a person. As a side note, I proposed during our "staycation" and was looking forward to everything being a top-notch experience. This was definitely not the start I was looking for.
Best Sushi in Scottsdale. Must try the La Bomba for dessert!
Tasty food and great service. Celebrated our 3rd year wedding anniversary. Enjoyed the ambiance and they have a huge collection of spirits. Jake was our server and he was highly skilled & very professional. Thanks so much! Will definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for something cozy.
Start to finish, perfection.
The perfect place for a rum aficionado, many excellent choices. The food is excellent. Can't beat the location, right on the gold course. And if you're staying at the Princess, access to a free shuttle. The driver was very nice.
TORO was amazing!! Food was delicious and service was outstanding! Dre, the Rum Princess, was extremely knowledgeable and was very friendly!
I celebrated my 25th birthday with my friends here. The live music, the service, the food, the friendly staff are excellent. I would highly recommend people go here for brunch on a Saturday. Thank you Esteban and all the staff for the great service. We had an amazing time!
The view is beautiful. We only did drinks and an appetizer (calamari) but the service was great, the drinks were nice, and their happy hour special can't be beat. We will definitely be back.
People talk about the five diamond experience at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, and make no mistake, Toro is one of the reasons. The food is exceptional, beyond anything you've experienced before. The service is better than perfect, with every staff member creating the most amazing dining experience. Sean was our server, and we asked him to offer some dining suggestions. He led us to the Mexican corn (elote), corn empanadas, pork belly and scallops, and la bomba dessert. Sean also saw that my 10 year old daughter was excited about the live entertainment, Ariel and Carlos ( a Cuban and Salvadorean duel who play guitar and sing), and asked them to come to our table. We were not disappointed, and my daughter was very enchanted. Clayton, the manager on shift, even stopped by to thank us for dining with them. Please, do yourself a favor and go to Toro. You will talk about this restaurant for a long time.
Toro is located in the TPC clubhouse and is walking distance from my Scottsdale home. I thoroughly enjoy relaxing on their patio with beautiful views of the TPC Champions golf course. They always remember my name & preferences and even welcome my two poodles on the patio. Last visit, all staff provided very attentive service, and the hostess proactively asked if I'd like a heater turned on. Their heaters are the tower kind, that don't just blaze down from above. My server, Arnaldo P. recommended the Lobster & Green Tea Soba Noodles, which I ordered along with a side of plain chicken (for my fur babies) and a glass of Cava sparkling wine. That particular wine is not on the menu by the glass, but is sometimes available by request. For starters, he brought some gluten free bread made with tapioca flour and rocotto tomato sauce. All was fantastic. Service was first class and I can't wait to return to Toro when I'm back in the Valley!
Great sushi!
Came here with a group of clients while staying at the Fairmont. Food was frankly, spectacular (don't miss the scallops and pork belly combo) and the only thing missing from an otherwise memorable evening was friendly service. Despite a big table and the usual mandatory "large group" tip, our server seemed to be going through the motions. The red wine was warmer than the service.
The service and the food are incredible.
Awesome party room and awesome food..our waiter was soo great!!
Excellent food, but the ambiance was a tad bit loud for me.
Took my team here and service was on point but food in my eyes was lacking. Most enjoyed it but for the price I expect more.
Flies all around our table . was frustrating !!
Sat outside with large party - ambience and food were awesome.
Excellent food. Service was over the top good (Thanks, Hanna!). Very enjoyable evening with friends.
I liked Toro very much. Did the Groupon and it was a very nice way to get a sampling of the menu. I would go back not with a Groupon. The sushi bar seems really cool but did not get to experience that this time.
A-maz-ing. Wife and I had narrowed down this place from 7 other restaurants in the area, glad we did. Celebrating our anniversary we were given comp champagne at the start of our meal. Started off with ceviche to share. We each had 3drinks, service was prompt and respectful. Mains were pork belly & scallops and the picanha steak both were fantastic. Lastly we were given a comp chocolate cake rasp sorbet, amazing. It is pricey, especially if having drinks. However for a really nice dinner with a gorgeous view from their patio well worth it on a special occasion.
Nice experience, good attentive service.
Stopped by for brunch on Sunday morning . The restaurant was very nice, clean, has a beautiful view of the 18th hole . The food was good. I tried the Toro Benedict . Great flavor fusion. Follow up with an Old Fashioned, yummy. Would recommend this restaurant for brunch.
A great meal with wonderful service. Every meal should end with La Bamba!!!
Fantastic food.

Great service, food, atmosphere.
Our server was the most patient I've seen. Our guests were late and we occupied the table for about half an hour with our 2 year old before they arrived. This was 4th of July as well, so I know it was hard, but she pulled it off! Great ambiance, food was good, they just need to be a bit more diligent with the scallops; not quite done, and could not eat. Other guest enjoyed!
Wow. Treated to dinner here. The fried rice was amazing.
Toro latin restaurant is the best
Absolutely fantastic Rum selection!
Outstanding food and service!
Decadent high quality food and service! Will absolutely be back... when my bank account is full.
Breathtaking views, superb menu, friendly staff. This is one of our favorite places.
Love coming here and getting greeted and serviced by the nicest staff. Everybody here knows what they are about starting from the moment you walk in to the management. The restaurant has tremendous dishes with breathtaking views. It's a must visit when visiting the Fairmont hotel or even Scottsdale
The staff was extremely professional with their service. My reason for not giving 5 stars is because their address here in Google Maps is wrong, which caused my party to get lost and come late. When I showed the tattooed woman who said she's the manager how she can fix this address on Google, she blew me off. Even though my waiter said they know this wrong-address thing has been an ongoing problem for their guests, this manager didn't think that task was inside her employee box of responsibilities and I could tell she didn't care if higher management/ownership got my feedback. Look at how old my comment here is. Does the address still say 7575 E Princess Dr, Scottsdale, AZ 85255? If so, then they still haven't clicked the "Claim This Business" button so they can update and correct the problem.
Would do 4.5 stars if I could. Very nice relaxing atmosphere, live music and nice view of the golf course. Service was excellent and the drinks, though a tad pricy were also excellent. The mixto ceviche was really good, unique for me in that it had a creamy sauce. Also liked the corn nuggets, reminded me of what we would get in Peru. Also a very generous portion. The scallop and pork belly entree was excellent and the miso black cod with mixed exotic mushrooms would have been great too except they were drowning in an overly sweet sauce. Too bad, but would go back.
Overpriced, but fresh and adequate.
The ambience is nice very laid-back and the Sun is setting. 70% of the staff suffered from rigor mortis straight out of Zombie Nation, but the 30% that showed true signs of life were very bubbly cheerful and made experience somewhat enjoyable. The assistant general manager was quite astute and from a distance he could see that our service was lacking and we were not really impressed with the place. we were actually thinking of going to another restaurant. This customer service professional was actually the reason why I gave the restaurant Four Star. The assistant general manager came over offered a very sincere apology and Compt our entire dinner and bar tab. Way to pull it out of the ditch.
Found this great place with exceptional service. If you want a good bite to eat and feel taken care off for the evening this is the place.
