This Restaurant belongs to the category of American restaurant.
Outstanding, everything was cooked perfectly, flavors were excellent for the entire meal. Pricey but executed on par with prices, service was also very good.
Had dinner here with my husband and it was great! The house is cozy and quaint and ambience is excellent. Music was perfect and food was delicious! The cocktails and wine list were on point. The staff was very attentive and accommodating to a gluten allergy. Highly recommend for a date night. We will be back.
Consistency is so important, and this place is that spades! There is nothing worse than when you find something delectable so you take friends back just to find it's been prepared differently, poorly. I've never had that issue here. This time we didn't even go in for dinner, just right up to the bar for that glorious ambiance and some of those signature cocktails, and again, the team here is simply amazing. They're all educated on wines, our bartender Conner, is a mixologist guru that makes some of the best martini's I've ever had. Highly recommend the espresso martini.
Unbelievable ambiance. Sat at a cozy table on the patio and had a wonderful meal. Met the owner, Joe, and the house chef. Great place for locals to have a quality evening. Even better place for visitors to experience the true old town Scottsdale.
The patio is beautiful, great food and cocktails. French inspired menu, can be a bit on the rich side, but always full of flavor and excellent service
I've been here two times. It's quaint, with a flare of cool. My most recent visit, our waiter was personable, which was nice. The food was fantastic! Highly recommended!
Amazing food but just as amazing guest service
Great candlelit ambiance on the outdoor patio and an excellent cocktail bar. The food is great too, but beware that the menu is seasonal and what is on the website may not be what is on offer at the restaurant.
Great people and even better food! It's always a treat to get out here from time to time.
Amazing.
Definitely love having go to events here don't get out much now but when I do I love sit on that patio and enjoy a nice dinner before night out
Food was way overpriced and not great. Gnocchi was improperly made and crumbling apart while the sauce on the bass was sickly sweet and overpowered everything else on the plate.
Wonderful atmosphere on the patio. Interesting food.
Had a good meal with good service, but I felt cheated. We picked this restaurant because it was restaurant week and they were offering a pre fix with wine. We booked for the 25th (Restaurant Week was advertised to last through the holiday weekend). When we asked for the Restaurant Week menu we were told that the promotion had "ended yesterday." Probably won't go back.
Celebrated my birthday at The House Brasserie and they did not disappoint. Our server Tommy was unbelievable and took great care of us. We sat outside which I highly recommend, it's beautiful. The food was fantastic and everything came out perfectly. I can't rave enough about the service, thanks again for making it a wonderful bday dinner.
Perhaps the best first date or date night Restaurant spot in Scottsdale. Super romantic, amazing Service, Great cocktails and fantastic cuisine. YEP!
Terrific food. Great space and ambiance. Wonderful cocktails. Kudos
Great restaurant, food is ridiculously good with a completely original twist on almost every dish. Prices are on par with Scottsdale and more than fair given the great food. Comfortable atmosphere, patio is nice when the weather permits. We've had great servers on all but one occasion, but haven't seen that particular employee there lately. Good selection of beers and wines, and my girl loves the cocktail menu. Solid place all the way around.
The best experience! Bartender so good he must be called a mixoligist! Nice friendly staff & customers. Cant wait to get back to AZ & stop in again.... Homemade Cinnamon whiskey. Decor is fabulous too.
We had dinner there last night. I like to start by saying that I don’t expect every restaurant that I go see that they are piling on my plate. I am more than willing to pay good money for either great food or great experience. Unfortunately, I cannot say that it was a great food or great experience. At best it was very expensive sub-par food that by no mean represented value for the meal. My meal was $18 for handful of arugula, less than a strawberry, and less than a fig. And $28 for pan seared chicken with a little potatoes and some leak. My wife had the same salad with Swordfish that didn’t taste well. $18 for 5 sticks of asparagus that again didn’t represent a culinary masterpiece. Our waiter kept insisting for us to buy more side dishes and starters indicating the size of dishes are nominal. All and all the meal came out to be around $50 per person (With no wine or spirits, just water) for something ordinary or less. I do not recommend the food or the experience
Just got done with brunch over there. So delicious!
I felt like I was conned to come here. I read the reviews and saw the ratings. I was excited to try the food but was very disappointed. They had good service but for the expense, the quality of food and quantity was laughable. I would stay away.
Went there 3 times in 6 days. Awesome bar and bartenders. My new hangout.
Kinda disappointing for the hype. We waited 45 mins to get an appetizer and nearly an hour an half for the entrees. Pork chops were pretty good, scallops we're awful and the lobster gnocchi was okay. The patio was okay....nothing special. All in all we were a bit disappointed for the price point.
Nice little historic house turned restaurant with a great patio area. The food is great, (portions a little bigger than expected) and served promptly. Don't go in a hury, service is not lacking, but is a little slow... Don't miss the Pavlova for dessert
Food was ok but service was bad.
Great ambiance, excellent service, and delicious food
We had Christmas dinner here with my family, including 2 babies. Very friendly staff, delicious food and wine offerings. I had an excellent steak. Appetizers were a little underwhelming, small portions, expensive. But great atmosphere and staff.
The bartenders are the best
Great atmosphere and drinks. Friendly and helpful staff. The patio looks amazing but right now it is too hot to sit outside. Food was good. Entree was amazing but appetizer was just okay. I would definitely go back.
Awesome place.
Hosted a celebration on their patio, which the ambiance is breathtaking. They treated my guests and I like royalty. The quality of the staff was unsurpassed. The food was amazing as well. Five star experience!
Pro: The food here was OK. Cons: It was pricey compared to comparable food in the valley. The service was terrible. We were promised an inside table and forced to sit outside - and it was cold. Plus our server was disengaged and really rude. This was some of the worst service we've received in quite some time. I think the service spoiled the rest of the experience for us. :( Conclusion: When you pay this much money, you expect your food to be well above average and your server to stop by your table at least once during the night. They didn't deliver on either the night we went in. I know others really like it, so maybe we just had bad luck and caught them on a bad night.
Went for lunch...best turkey sandwich I've ever had.
We had a really great dinner here and despite being Thanksgiving Day the staff were all on their “A” game and the food was top notch. We shared 2 pitchers of sangria, the 20oz ribeye, the chicken entree, an app and 3 sides between 4 people and it was the perfect amount. The horseradish mash potatoes side that comes with the steak was unexpected and an amazing flavor enhancer. The greenery around the restaurant made for great photo ops with the in-laws. It is a little pricey but the menu is available online to checkout before going so there are no surprises.
Waited for over an hour for our entrées. Our waitress Emily did not seem to care about our table. I ordered medium rare steak and in my opinion (I always order steaks at restaurants) it came medium well and it was tough and dry, I barely touched my steak. Very disappointed, there are a lot of other restaurants nearby, I would highly suggest to go elsewhere.
Mediocre at best bad service and poorly executed food
Tasty food, EXCELLENT service, very accommodating for vegetarians despite having limited-looking veggie options on the menu.
What an amazing experience. We were greeted at the door and sat by the owner who truly cares about the guests. The atmosphere inside the house is just as perfect as the beautifully lit patio. The service is exceptional and the waitstaff (Emily) is incredibly knowledgable about the history of the house as well as the menu. We had the Maine Lobster Gnocchi to start and were blown away by how smooth the gnocchi was. We chose the Tomahawk Pork Chop and Citrus Brined Fried Chicken with the Mac and Cauliflower on the side. Everything was cooked perfectly with great contrasting flavors of sweet and salty in both dishes. A perfect belated Valentines dinner, thank you to the Owner and all of The House Brasserie staff!
Amazing food and great atmosphere in Old Town Scottsdale
Great place.
Excellent cocktails, wine, ambiance, and cuisine! Will be going back in the near future.
The service eh. The brussel sprouts were over salted and my pasta was not al dente.
Great Place! The food was delish. Try a few things I'm glad I did. Sat outside on the patio was nice for a cool night by the heaters. Romantic, cozy, very nice atmosphere.
The food is really bad
Didn't have a reservation for Christmas but grabbed a seat at the bar. Friendly bartender and tasty food made this a fun and easy place to grab a bite to eat and a cocktail. A variety of options are great for vegetarians and omnivores alike.
Exceptional experience every time. We had our rehearsal dinner here and the staff was amazing! Would highly recommend eating here but especially when the weather is nice outside.
Staff and Exec Chef and Chef are GREAT. Filet mignon was phenomenal!
Amazing food and service.
The best food in AZ. We used to live in New York and haven't had a better experience ! Service is wonderful too.
Great food! I mean really delicious! You'll feel it on the wallet, but worth every penny!
Great food, great service, the Chef was able to modify my order due to some recent oral surgery and it was fantastic! Location is great, great concept using the historical house as a restaurant. We will be back for sure!! Very enjoyable experience. If you are undecided on the menu, go with the tomahawk pork chop!
Staff, food, environment all first class!
The prices could be a bit better for what you get but the cocktails are good especially the Manhattan
Having dined frequently at The Mission I was eager to try Matt Carter's new venture. I have been going regularly since they opened. From manager Bryan Adams to Billie the bartender and the great staff everyone at the place is friendly and always helpful. The food is interesting, adventurous and always great. The place itself is full of charm and the patio is perfect in any weather. The bar selection us outstanding with some very rare wines and liquors. I take many authors there and all my out of town guests. It is very popular so I suggest reservations especially in the winter season and on the weekends. Have not worked my way through the entire menu yet but so far have not had anything less than delicious. I am addicted to the Mac and Cheese.
Excellent food and service. Accolades to Joe and his staff. A must for locals and visitors
We went here for our one year wedding anniversary. It is a very nice restaurant and the ambiance is amazing. Parking was a pain. Be prepared to spend a decent amount of money on the food. Our total bill was around $250 for a two entrees, two sides, and three drinks. Definitely worth the experience but we felt the food was overpriced compared to other upscale restaurants.
This place is awesome! I went to an event that they hosted there and it was fabulous. It was great food, great wine, and the staff were super friendly. They have both an inside and an outside area. The outside area is shaded by a huge old historic tree. Although it is in the heart of old Town Scottsdale, it is a very peaceful setting. I am looking to my next!!!
Tommy was awesome, this is a favorite in Phoenix food is amazing, wine list great and outdoor patio beautiful...we love The House Brassiere
Went to The House Brasserie to celebrate my parents anniversary and it was the best gift ever! The ambiance is inviting the minute you walk in the door with the very cool bar and a Victorian vibe in the dining room. The service was attentive and the food was delicious. We started with the whipped burrata, chicken meatballs, and lobster gnocchi. The salmon and the pork chop were cooked perfectly, and the bison bolognese was excellent. We were full and almost skipped dessert, glad we got it, the chocolate cake and peach almond cake are a must. Also, the bartenders are really really good at making interesting cocktails, the smoked manhattan is a winner. The best part was that my parents enjoyed a night out in a sophisticated restaurant with great food and service.
Ambiance was relaxing, our server, Lupita, was amazing. The lobster gnocchi was delicious yet light, the 72 hour sous vide short ribs melted in my mouth.
Very nice dinner experience, recommendation from a close friend.
the pricing was fine on the dishes, but the service was pretty slow/unattentive, and my meal was heavily salted.
Amazing food and service
In spite of the nice athmosphere and the Rolls parked outside, the restaurant was a disappointment. The waiter forgot the appetizer we ordered and we were served directly the main courses. We were presented with a nice tasting of wines paired to our dishes, but they would not remember the dishes. We had to ask for bread, which came too late. While the Jidori chicken was good the grouper was too salty. The service was overly courteous but inefficient. The dishes are overpriced and when we complained about the salty grouper nothing was deducted from the bill. Overall a bad experience.
Awesome food, and better service
Great food and the waiter was fantastic. Mac and cheese was good but most in our party had the beer brine chicken which everyone enjoyed.
We had absolutely fantastic food and wine here. A wonderful evening outside in cool Arizona spring weather. Definitely recommend.
Great food, cozy atmosphere, and the bartender Kenny felt like a brother to me!
Could not have been happier with our experience here. From start to finish the service and the food were all absolutely top notch
Beautiful restaurant, awesome food and great service
The food and service were excellent. The cocktail I wanted was unavailable, but the waiter made a recommendation that was quite tasty.
There is no doubt that this is a lovely restaurant with caring staff. However, the food was high priced and good but not great. It should be great for the prices charged. Even this would be okay but we will not be returning because of ridiculous miscellaneous charges. We ordered a martini. "Do you want olives?" Why, yes we do. For a bourbon, "would you like a single cube?" Why, yes we would. When the bill came we were charged $4.00 for the ice cube and $2.00 for the olives! We have been in restaurants all over the world and have never been charged for ice or olives. Too bad. We spent over $160.00 for two so we were looking for quality not fast food but this type of taking advantage of a customer is very poor form.
This is a great place for date night! Delicious and unique food, swanky decor, and excellent service. The prices are high, but it's worth it.
Great food
I was here for a date and I loved every moment I spent there. Service was superb and food top notch. Highly recommended.
A wonderful place to visit, enjoy their chef designed meals and their wide array of wines and spirits. It's an amazing, quaint and cozy place that was once a home. We truly had a terrific experience and will definitely return and invite others to join us. Joe, the owner, was very nice and knew about the history of the home. He was charming and really cared about his clientele.
Stopped in here on 06/22/2019 to meet a few friends. Bartenders were nice, made a great Old Fashion, crowd was pleasant. But what really stood out was this: two days later when I couldn’t find my ID I called this place. For some reason the call inadvertently went to a guy who was the former owner. He was extremely friendly and gave me the number to the restaurant. Well the call goes back to him. So he sends me the new owners number and also gets in touch with the new owner. The new owner tells me they are closed on Monday but would go down there and look to see if my ID was there. This is a pretty upscale place and in an upscale town. Somewhere you’d expect to get a more, snooty attitude. But that didn’t happen. These guys were friendly, communicated with me to make sure I was looked after and really went out of their way to help. I found my ID 20 minutes later wedged in between the seats of my truck so it was really an unnecessary inconvenience but they didn’t mind at all. I’ll be back to this place just because of the great customer service.
Great food and drinks.
Terrific experience! The atmosphere was beautiful and the food was delicious!
Absolutely charming! Try the steak tartare
The aptmosphere was great so it’s a shame that the food didn’t match. Chicken was way too salty, lobster bisque tasted chewy and not fresh. Wouldn’t recommend, not worth the prices.
The food was wonderful. The atmosphere was beyond compare. It is a bit pricey but worth it.
I know I've posted a great review every time we go but last week was the first time I've ordered the 24oz. Bistecca Fiorentina and I must say it was the best steak by far I've ever had!
Excellent food. Outstanding service. Great location!
Simply the best brunch I've had in a long long time.
My husband & I are on business travel and wanted a charming dinner location in Scottsdale. We loved everything about The House Brasserie! Our waiter (Garrett) was attentive, gave us wonderful suggestions, and they did not disappoint! I would recommend, for the shared dish, the lobster gnocchi and for the main, the Citrus Brined Jidori Chicken. We will definitely go back again!
Great drinks. Great ambiance.
Nice atmosphere but the food and drinks were not worth the charges.
This place is top notch. The staff is amazing. The "wine girl" is a 10. The food is the best I've ever had. Everything is on point. Loved every bit of it.
Great food and intimate dining on the patio.
Great meal and very neat spot
The House Brasserie doesn’t do bad or mediocre *anything.* I’ve never had a bad meal, drink or experience here. Par excellence.
Had Sunday brunch here for a friend's birthday. The food is excellent, just slightly overpriced. If it weren't for the prices, I'd give it 5 stars. Don't get me wrong, I loved the food and the service and happily paid my bill, but the prices were out of whack, not by much, but a bit too high.
Didn't go back here for several years after a bad experience. The staff is good, food is pretty good and the bar is excellent.
New Years Eve dinner. Fantastic food and outstanding service. First time here but not last.
We had a great experience here, they really took care of us. They saved us a special table for our occasion, and treated us as if we were the only guests. The food was awesome, and the portions were way more than enough! Great job!
Great spot for lunch. Awesome patio and good eats.
I've never had a negative experience. Great spot.
So glad the team opened another local restaurant The House Brasserie (others: The Mission & Zinc Bistro) because they did it again, bringing another high quality restaurant to Scottsdale. The transformed an old house into a beautiful restaurant that makes you forget you are in scottsdale. The patio is breathtaking and the decor inside is amazing - even the bathrooms are a must see! The food is everything it should be from start to finish. I would recommend any of there specialty drinks. i have already been here a handful of times for lunch,, dinner and brunch and I walk away satisfied EVERY time. This is on my short list of must dine often restaurants in the valley!!
Excellent menu
Beautiful atmosphere, and the staff was wonderful. The ribeye I ordered didn't impress me unfortunately.
Took in laws for their anniversary. Made reservations and requested the same location/table as last year. We were told that area was closed since it was limited service for Easter dinner. An hour later they allowed ONE table to sit in the requested area, even though the rest of the restaurant wasn't full. Poor choice from the greeter. Food was pretty good but not as good as last year. Prices were still up there though. Atmosphere is fairly high, waitress was new but good, but price and customer service was, at best, okay.
I have eaten here several times, and all but one was exceptional. That one happened to be a group event I was helping to host, so I try not to let it affect my judgement. The food is stellar. The lunch options are very reasonably priced. The service is exceptional. Just be careful if you are doing a group event with a custom menu
Excellent food, atmosphere and service.
Pleasantly surprised. Food was quite unique and flavorful. Service was superb!
