While there is good BBQ in the valley, this is a great joint. Food is excellent, service is great and while it's crowded during lunch during the week; never had an issue being seated. I don't give 5-stars lightly but hats off to this place. It's definitely centered/marketed to the business district but they run a great restaurant. My parents meet me here for lunch semi frequently and always a great experience.

Every time I pass through Phoenix, I make a stop by here. The schedule is odd so double check before you go. We accidentally came at the last 15 minutes but the customer service was excellent. They didn't make us feel bad for being the last customers. Lovely people, consistent quality in the past few years.

Owner and staff are always courteous and always greet you with a smile. The brisket, pork and prime rib are all smoked to the bone with a flavor that really requires no sauce. TXBBQH has a great spicy sauce. One of the best BBQ in town.

I love that I can preorder my food online and it'll be ready when I arrive. Parking lot is small and tight, when crowded. If you're handicapped, pls note that the bathroom is quite small. No room for walkers or wheelchairs. Their po boy is to die for. I also ordered their Louisiana ribs and you know its good when you can eat em without the sauce. I chose cole slaw and hamburger buns as my side. They're pricey, think my order totaled $45, but it was worth it.

Tried to go to Little Miss BBQ for the first time. Somehow the day I tried to go there was during their Summer vacation, since I was so in the mood for some BBQ, I remembered seeing some little hole in the wall BBQ spot not to far away, so I figured I'd try to find it and give it a shot. And not an I glad I did. Ended up ordering the sampler for myself and my 2 guests. Didn't need any sauce just like real BBQ should be. Will definitely be going back there again once I'm out of my meat coma.

I like the idea of their one pound sandwich with sausage links and brisket, but was a little disappointed in the quality/freshness. Also had 8 people total in the party and all 8 had small digestive issues that evening including myself. Hate not giving at least 4 stars when it comes to bbq, but with how many exemplary bbq joints I've been to around the country and even in the Phoenix metro area I have to do it.

Okay 2 Stars only because I really really really wanna love this place, but they are always out of nearly everything! I have dragged my family here a total of 3 times now only to leave embarrassed (that it was my idea to go there), hungry, and annoyed. The food that we did get--Once Upon a Time--truly was delicious except for the side veggies, which were kinda mediocre. Honestly, I would love to try this place 1 more time but they're either closed or out of everything. I don't know how one runs a restaurant this way. Utterly confused in Phoenix :/

I do not give 5 stars lightly. This place is arguably the best BBQ in town. This is true Texas BBQ. They sell smoked meat by weight with some small sides. They have really only one sandwich. The Po Boy is a 2 meals worth of hot links piled on with smoked brisket AND then piled on with pulled pork. Tucked in a VERY small strip center in South Phoenix it worth the trip from anywhere in the Valley.

Real deal Texas BBQ. Brisket was spot on, St. Louis ribs, excellent. Also got some Jalapeno Hot Links, really tasty. Cream corn was a little too sweet. Added black pepper and crystal hot sauce. Mac and Cheese was bland, needs stronger cheddar and hot sauce. Small place with a small parking lot, go early or late to avoid the lunch rush. They do not have handicap parking, landlord needs to address this, needs 2 slots for this size business. Staff is very helpful, go have some good Q.

Had the TX Po Boy Sandwich; It was way too delicious for how fast they made it. The meat was tender and the barbecue sauce was perfect. The Cream Corn was rather good, although I've had better. But I definitely recommend... Only downside is the hours of operation but definitely not a dealbreaker.

Amazing!!! I love Texas BBQ House. It's the best Texas BBQ I've found. The service is good and the atmosphere is very homey and down to earth. Obviously the brisket is the best. It's Texas style BBQ after all. The sausage and ribs are also amazing. My favorite side is the cream corn. The beans and potato salad are also good. Give the green beans a try also. Let's just say they're not a vegetarian style green beans. I highly recommend everyone give this place a try.

The pork does not taste fresh. It tasted old. The brisket was dry, even though I ordered the fattier cut. This place wouldn't survive anyplace but South Phoenix- where people just don't have the opportunity to get good BBQ. Anyone that is actually from Texas would laugh at this half-hearted attempt. When I told the owner I thought it stunk, he got angry at me instead of trying to make it right. Sad.

I finally made it here. It seemed that every time I've wanted to go it's been closed for one reason or another. I made it just before 5, and I was told all they had left was brisket. So the limited menu was severely limited. But, it was delicious! The brisket was super moist, paired with their homemade barbecue sauce, just perfect. I would have liked to try some other meats, but I'll try next time. Inside, the place is small, just a few tables. I took mine to go, meat wrapped in deli paper and placed in a paper bag. By the time I walked home, it was still warm.

Excellent BBQ and good luck eating all of it! I got the Texas Poor Boy. There are several sides you can order. The Mac and Cheese was excellent as was the pinto beans. I also liked the cole slaw which was not too creamy or sweet. The only drawbacks are it being open only for lunch and the parking lot not being of sufficient size to hold all of their enthusiastic fans and no street parking available next to it. But it is worth the wait for a parking space.

The moist brisket alone earns 5 stars. It is absolutely the best brisket. The tenderness, the moist to meat ratio, the flavor, the bark, it’s all on point. If you’ve ever been disappointed by a place where their only brisket option is dry cardboard, the Texas house of BBQ will restore your faith. To be honest, the sides weren’t the best, but the brisket is so good it doesn’t matter.

The meat was great, best I have had so far in AZ. You will also love it if you are from anywhere near North Texas. I appreciate the Big Red as a fountain drink. The banana pudding was good too, but I would have liked a sauce of their own. It tasted like a doctored version of something that came out of a bottle. I will go back.

Decided to give this restaurant a second try as my initial experience was not so great. The menu is fairly simple but the food is quite tasty and very nicely cooked. Staff is friendly and helpful in explaining the menu choices and side options. The restaurant is a bit small and the tables are a bit too close to each other which allows very little room to move about. Their tea is nicely brewed and have both unsweetened and sweetened tea. Parking can be tough during lunch hour as the parking spots are limited. Definitely a place worth trying.

Ran by Texans who know who know what they are doing. Superb slow cooked brisket and ribs. It's sold by weight with a few sides, we like the cream corn. If you're picking up to go in the evening, its worth calling ahead. They close once the brisket is sold out and I've seen this happen as early as 5:30pm. Little Miss BBQ on University gets all the attention these days, but this is a very good BBQ joint with almost identical meats and cooking methods without the 90 minute wait.

I ordered through door dash for my corporation lunch to feed exec and upper management. I had items missing from my order and I called them. The lady was rude and unprofessional. She didn't even apologize for the situation and actually hung up on the door dash driver. Driver stated that she asked in advanced if all the separate orders were in the bag. They completely missed an order and got an order wrong. I will never again do business with this rude company again. I called door dash and they sent out items i was missing with no problem, thats how you resolve an issue professionally
